Chris Gonzales resigned from the FBI after 14 years as a Special Agent when he realized the biggest threat we face today is in the war for the hearts and minds of our youth. As parents, we often just don't realize the incredible amount of terrible content and messaging forced onto our youth through social media and on-demand content such as YouTube Kids, Netflix, Disney, and Nickelodeon. Chris wrote an e-book called Poisoned Candy to tell parents about the dangers of children's media. Parents feel like they have nowhere to turn to find good content in a safe environment; so, after nineteen years in law enforcement, Chris felt God was calling him to a new fight to protect children in the digital realm. Chris launched GoodTube Kids to create a safe place for kids and a resource for parents all in one place.

Medicine has become a pseudo-religion; our patients must be gently encouraged into apostasy and renunciation... [We have all] been enslaved by the medical–industrial complex, and it is time we rebelled. Society needs to reach a new accommodation with old age and death.Seamus O'Mahony, Can Medicine Be Cured (2019)Here is the silver lining: when you better understand your fragile life and the limitations of medicine, you will avoid getting sucked into a lot of useless nonsense. By 60, most people have some coronary artery disease; by 70, most have cancers growing somewhere. Nortin Hadler states the cold facts: “Any claim to a science that offers a path to longevity beyond eighty-five years is fatuous… over 85, you are off-warranty.” My pathologist friend Chris Gonzales adds, “something will get you, eventually.” He cuts up dead people for a living, so he knows.Worrying about your lifespan or expecting medicine to save you will not bring you peace. Instead, focus on your mission and the tasks. Be philosophical about your health as it declines. At the end of life, some people can become more grateful rather than more afraid because they have learned to treasure each moment. Max Ehrmann wrote, “Gracefully surrender the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.”My friend Dana understood this. He taught me what he could over his final year, and I loved him dearly. He had coronary artery disease with congestive heart failure, and for months, we knew he might die. He had always been optimistic, but during this period, he ignored all negativity and told me he felt better and better. He knew he had no time for regrets, complaints, whining, or worry. I realized later that we are in the same position as Dana every day of our lives.Support the show (https://paypal.me/dryohoauthor?locale.x=en_US)

I have preached this once and many times after this. Mental health is one of the pillars overall health and can have profound repercussions on athletic performance, holistic health, and your overall mental state. This concept is definitely challenged in times like now where we are facing a pandemic that is leaving us in our homes of residences and teleworking. Cases of depression is expected to spike up to 48% in American Populace over the course of this pandemic. A lot of the stressors of your workplace can easily be amplified, but don't worry we defeat this demon in this entirety in this episode. In addition, we are seeing record unemployment in the US that is eclipsing the numbers of the 2008 recession. However, perspective is everything and we must see the positive in every situation. Just because you have been laid off doesn't make you any less valuable in the work. In fact, it is easier then ever to leverage technology in order to land a career even in the middle of pandemic!!! There is indeed hope on the horizon and the American Spirit is far from dead.In this episode we will be covering all these topics including leveraging the business professional social media website known as LinkedIn with Nicole Jovicevic, Entrepreneur, Mental Health Expert, Ted Talk Speaker and Career and Talent Transition Specialist. In society and in life, institutionalized education teaches you the concept of what success is (which in essence is working your way up to the top alone). Nowhere will teach you the importance of a team and good systems. Whether its fitness, real estate, entrepreneurship, or any other life endeavor its important to create systems because you cant do everything alone. "If you want to go fast go alone. If you want to go far go with a team."In this episode we explore these concepts with CJ Finley serial entrepreneur and CEO of the brand "ThriveOnLife" which helps startups(not just fitness) and online fitness platforms scale, build core values, build a valuable team, and continue to thrive not just survive.DISCLAIMER: A majority of the knowledge in this episode they might not have taught you in school and thats more than fine. Another epic conversation featuring our good friend Chris Gonzales, fellow service member and podcaster who we met through the Ever Forward Mentorship this past August. To lead a life that you're proud of and make a positive impact on those around you, you must decide to take that leap of faith into your passions. You never know who you may help along the way, or the doors that will suddenly open by one or many acts of courage. Pepe Le Pew, Bugs Bunny, and Wile E. Coyote are among the Loony Toons characters whose mental health issues and identities we dissect in the first episode of Season 3 of Mental Illness in Pop Culture. Other cartoon characters mentioned: Foghorn Leghorn, Speedy and Slow Poke Gonzalez, Sylvester, Tweety Bird, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, and Penelope Pussycat. A ten-year podcast listener and AoC Bootcamp alumnus weighs in on life changes three years since attending. Is it more cringeworthy to admit when we don't know something, or to pause a conversation mid-flow to go look it up on Google? Make America smarter? What dat mean? Wondering how to leave a voice message that will actually get you a response? Here's an example. Is it reasonable to expect an honest answer from your ex about where your relationship went wrong?
