Are you a great gift giver? Anna has never second-guessed herself when it comes to buying her husband a gift, but this time she's not sure she did a good job… A Hollywood legend has passed and a new era of one of America's favorite gameshows has begin! Is there something about your house that makes it unsellable? One of the most famous athletes in the world is having trouble seeing his multi-million-dollar mansion! Last weekend, Raven babysat his 9-month old grandson for the first time. Alone. Now it's time to find out how he did! Everyone has wanted to bail on a party before, but what excuse do you give? Anna is looking for wrong answers only! Are you up to date with this week's biggest news stories?  Anna and Raven will get you caught up on what's trending, including all the new Apple products! When you got engaged, did you have a nice proposal? Anna found a horrifying video of a bizarre engagement gone wrong! Did you know that connecting with old friends can be good for your health? Anna and Raven want to get you reconnected with the people you care about, so Anna decided to try it out! How do you get young people to care about politics? Anna and Raven think that they've found the solution… Kristin and Steve have a daughter that is graduating high school this year. Despite her good grades, she wants to pursue her acting dreams in LA. Her cousin (who is older, responsible, and has an apartment with room for her) has offered to have her stay. Mom (Kristin) thinks it's fine for her to go try it. Part of being young is chasing dreams. Plus, it's her niece and she knows she'll be safe. Dad (Steve) disagrees. He doesn't understand why she can't go to school while she's in LA and do both. He will not bankroll her either. What do you think? Carly has got a shot at $300! All she has to do is beat Raven in pop culture trivia!

Dr. Danny comes from a “chiropractic family”—his Dad Steve is a chiropractor, as well as his 2 younger brothers, Scott and Andy. He is from New Ulm, Minnesota and graduated from New Ulm High School in 2007. After high school, he attended Winona State University for four years and earned a health science degree. At Winona State, he loved doing anything outdoors—golfing, hiking, spending time on the water, but staying indoors during the freezing cold winters. After graduating as a chiropractor in 2014 from Northwestern Health Sciences University, he moved back to his hometown to practice with his Dad for a year. He began taking care of people in the New Ulm community, and helped bring the advantage to more people around town. After a year of working with Dad in New Ulm, he moved to a practice in Long Lake, Minnesota where he practiced for about two and a half years. He continued to take care of a lot of people, often adjusting hundreds and hundreds of people every week! He gained a lot of experience in taking care of a community and helping them live their best lives with chiropractic. Coming from a chiropractic family, he is extremely passionate about teaching people anywhere and everywhere about the incredible things chiropractic can do for their lives. He received his first adjustment when he was 3 days old, and has been getting adjusted ever since! He attributes his health and wellness in his own life to chiropractic. Dr. Danny loves to do anything outdoors, including skiing, boating, golfing, and exploring different places on vacations! He especially loves downhill skiing, and takes a family ski trip to Lutsen every year. He also loves traveling out to Colorado to ski in the mountains! He's an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, and is praying they win a Super Bowl in his lifetime. Basketball is his favorite sport, however, and plays whenever he gets a chance!   Bio obtained from : https://myadvantagelife.com/

Just because life hands you lemons, don't be a dead beat Dad - Steve Bates

40 Plus: Real Men. Real Talk.

Divorce isn't easy for anyone, but it doesn't mean if you can't hack it, that you need to become a deadbeat Dad. Yet, society sure likes to assume that a lot of Dads are deadbeat Dads, but that's not necessarily always the case. In fact, most Dads going through divorce would like to be as involved with their kids as possible. Steve Bates is one of those guys and he and I talk candidly about divorce, losing jobs, and making it through the times that we thought we would be able to during our divorces and trying to raise our kids - without being deadbeat Dads. About SteveLao Tzu, a Chinese philosopher born over 2,600 years ago wrote, "When I let go of who I am, I become who I might be." I love this and I attempt to use it every day, but it is really, really difficult to not live in the past and let it fill your head with doubts and what if's. Even so, it's how we choose to utilize those prior life experiences which help us realize what our dreams and desires are. Experiences give us motivation to move forward instead of back. And the more we have been challenged by our past, the more rewarding whatever it is the future holds in store. I've been a single parent, but my kids are now 19 & 17 and I am married to an incredible, amazing woman who I am so thankful for every day. I've broken my back and was concerned if I'd be able to walk or run again, but I still become a firefighter and a paramedic, I was an unemployed college dropout at the age of 38, but I've since graduated at the top of my class and am privileged to be intimately involved with a company that is a game changer on a global scale. The memory of the low points of my life are what keep me rising above them. Do I stall or fall back from time to time? Absolutely. It's called being human. The key for me is realizing that those "bad times" don't define me. In fact they give me strength which may not have come about otherwise. And because I refuse to be a prisoner to what has been, I'm always willing to try new things which helps to keep life from getting stale (like starting a blog and hanging out all my laundry for the world to see). And if you'll have me as your guide I'd be very excited to go through this journey with you! Our regular At the Flicks feature “What else have we been watching” has become a surprise hit with our listeners. So much so, that we decided to ask some of our Listeners what else have they been watching?. In this short. We phoned three friends of the Pod, Katie and her Dad Steve in the UK and then travelled over the pond to the US to talk to long time listener Nick, to find out what had caught their eye this month.

Paul gets drunk on whiskey part way through the episode. See if you can tell when... We discuss how we attempt to roll with people as we start to age and everything starts to hurt. Steve talks about how and why he got into BJJ. Steve tried not to disparage other types of martial arts...except maybe tai chi push hands. He also talks about what it was like just taking private lessons for self defense up until he got a blue belt and what it was like rolling with an actual class after that. We started to talk about some north/south control etiquette but bailed on it pretty quickly. Steve talked about the time he had to use a bit of Jiu Jitsu outside of class on a fellow band mate. Paul tries to sound smart about how music can relate to learning in Jiu Jitsu, but quickly falls on his face with it... Subscribe to us on whatever podcast app you use. Amanda and Tyler Wilkinson are no strangers to success on the Country charts. First, they scored big as the family trio The Wilkinsons (26 Cents, Fly (The Angel Song), Boy Oh Boy) - along with their dad Steve. These days, Amanda and Tyler have reunited musically as a duo called SMALL TOWN PISTOLS. Their self-titled debut album is up for Country Album of the Year at the Juno awards on March 30th - broadcasting live from Winnipeg. Amanda and Tyler will be presenters that night as well. The album features the hits Colour Blind, Living On The Outside, Blame It On The Radio & Anthem Of A Runaway. Dad Steve - a prolific songwriter - is a writer on three of the album's songs including "Living On The Outside." Small Town Pistols are now releasing Colour Blind in the United States. The song was written by Amanda and Tyler along with songwriter and producer Joey Moi (producer for Jake Owen, Florida Georgia Line, Dallas Smith and many more.) “It’s a song about how we truly feel about the world,” explains Tyler. Tune in and get up close & personal with this multi-talented Country duo and their music.

Greetings fellow canines; my name is Indiana Jones; I am NOT the fictional American Adventurer and Archeologist Dr. Henry Walton Jones Junior created by film maker George Lucas and portrayed by Harrison Ford and River Phoenix; I am the REAL Indiana Jones, a pure bred lemon beagle puppy born one year ago on March 28th, 2009. My full name, in fact, is Indiana Jones Walker…of the human family Walker; they being the creatures who serve me in every way and are the best-est family a dog could ever have. This is my house, I live here with Mathew, John, my Mom and my Dad: Steve.  Dad is a runner; but he’s not as good a runner as I am. I love to run, especially after bunny rabbits…and we have at least two living in our yard.  I can smell them every day.  Dad doesn’t let me run after them, sometimes he let’s me run through the yard sniffing for their trail.  He doesn’t seem to be able to smell them the way I can. I can smell really well.  My nose has 200 million scent receptors compared to Dad’s nose, which has only 5 million.  My olfactory bulbs are four times as big as his so I can smell things from, far, far away.  Dad’s nose would have to be the size of a refrigerator in order to be as sensitive as my nose! I can smell that bunny rabbit, and I want to run after him, but Dad won’t let me because he’s afraid I’ll get lost or get hit by one of those big “move-me” machines. But, I just want to play!  Doesn’t everyone love to play? Show Links: The song “Mr. Jones” was by The Counting Crows
