Kash Shaikh is an award-winning storyteller, marketer, brand builder, and entrepreneur. And he had a crazy dream. A dream so large - so grandiose - so monumental that it was hard for even him to grasp the concept truly. The dream was to bring baseball - America's National Pastime - to the epicenter of cricket: the Middle East and South Asia. It is a land with over 2 billion people (1 billion cricket fans), and he wants to do it in a major way. His idea is now called Baseball United, and it's no longer a dream — it's a reality. Baseball United has four teams: Mumbai Cobras (GM Barry Larkin & Manager Chris Sabo), Karachi Monarchs (GM Adrian Beltre & Manger Miguel Tejada), Dubai Wolves (GM Felix Hernadez & Manager John McLaren), and the Abu Dhabi Falcons (GM Nick Swisher & Dennis Cook). The league held its first-ever draft last month, featuring prominent former MLB players like Robinson Canó, Bartolo Colon, Pablo Sandoval, Didi Gregorius. and Andrelton Simmons. On this episode, Cheats is joined by Flobo as they welcome Kash to talk all things Baseball United. This episode is informative and fun. It gives you a glimpse into the daily challenges of building a major (international) baseball league from scratch. You don't want to miss this episode. As always, please subscribe to the Black Baseball Mixtape. Please rate and review the show. Thanks to Steelo, the Players Alliance, and everyone who helps make the Mixtape possible.
In this week's episode of the Mariners Sogcast, the mood is dowwwn. The Mariners remain soggy and need a catalyst, they need cohesion, they need momentum, they need chemistry. What's going to get us over this slump? Do we fire some coaching staff? Is this Dipoto's fault? Does the team need new ownership? Don't expect another 14 game win streak like we had last season. Muñoz, Murfee, and Moore are back from their injuries and there's some bad news about Murfee after his outing on Saturday against the Angels. What's the plan for Bryan Woo? Are we showing him off as a potential trade piece? The Mariners signed Didi Gregorius to a minor league deal, will we see him in the bigs this year? Trade talks are heating up approaching the deadline. Who will the Mariners target? What deals can we make to give us that extra oomph going into the second half of the season? All of this and more on the Mariners Sogcast. All opinions expressed in this podcast are our own. Join El Parcero Philly as we discuss The Phillies series finale against The Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday Afternoon. The Phils bats continue to stay on fire in Milwaukee, despite the fact them starting this game slow, they would come alive in the final 3 innings, putting up 5 runs to win 8-3! Another performance where many different hitters would have a hand in this win, but Didi Gregorius would have a pleasant bounce back performance. Eflin got the start on the mound, wasn't the sharpest performance but he had help from the bullpen. Check out our thoughts in this game! In this episode, Connor tries to make sense of the Philadelphia Phillies' premier offense getting combined no hit by the New York Mets in their series opener up at Citi Field. Unfortunately, he notes that the pitching matchups don't get much easier the rest of the trip for the Philadelphia Phillies. He also goes into the importance of game 2 of this series with the New York Mets and why signs from a previous game this year point towards the Philadelphia Phillies having a chance to bounce back in this series. Finally, in Off The Poll, Connor discusses the Philadelphia Phillies defense at shortstop and who would benefit the team more at that position moving forward between Didi Gregorius and Johan Camargo. After a huge comeback win by the Philadelphia Phillies last night, Connor breaks down how the team erased a 4 run deficit behind a huge home run from JT Realmuto, and big doubles from Rhys Hoskins and Didi Gregorius, and some awesome bullpen pitching from Nick Nelson, Seranthony Dominguez, and Brad Hand! He also talks about some rough spots from the early innings both with Alec Bohm's defense at 3rd and Ranger Suarez's less than ideal first start of the year. The Philadelphia Eagles just acquired the future from the Saints a few days ago. The Eagles gave up their 16th, 19th overall pick, and a sixth-rounder for New Orleans' 18th overall pick, a third, and a 7th rounder back to Philadelphia. The Saints also sent a 2023 first-rounder and a 2024 second-rounder in part of that trade. For the first round, I would like the Eagles to draft an offensive player and a defensive player. For the third round, I like the Eagles to draft a guard out of Oklahoma. His name is Tyrese Robinson and I broke down the strength he has in that position. For the Phillies in my opinion Gregorius is blocking Stott's opportunity at shortstop. I discussed how the Phillies are making a huge mistake keeping Didi. I broke down what the Phillies have to do to succeed in today's home opener against the Oakland A's at 3:05 The X factor for the Phillies is Aaron Nola who is pitching in his fifth home opener and I don't feel comfortable in Nola. I gave my own analysis of why I am feeling not great about pitcher Aaron Nola.

(00:00-14:11) Today on The Mike Missanelli Show, Mike starts off reacting to the Sixers loss to the Nuggets last night. The started off strong but couldn't hold the lead. The bench is a worry but there isn't anything that can be done from a personnel standpoint right now. They have to roll with what they have and Doc needs to figure it out. The best route right now is to try other players that you have. Give Charles Bassey a look, give Isaiah Joe more minutes. Figure something out. Mike also announces that Tyrone and Jen give their thoughts. (14:22-1:15:46) Jen introduces today's Twitter poll. If you were Doc Rivers, how would you try to solve the Sixers bench issues? Your choices are a) Play Different Guys, b) Motivate Existing Guys, c) Bring Maxey Off Bench, d) There Is No Hope. The crew shares their opinion. Mike then heads to the phones to hear what you have to say. (1:15:57-1:25:44) Jen dives into some interesting stories outside the world of sports on “What's Brewin' with Jen” to include Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson's big breakfast and California and Texas gas thieves. (1:25:55-1:43:07) Mike takes more of your calls. (1:43:18-1:57:48) Major League Baseball writer for The Athletic Jayson Stark joins the show to talk about the Phillies and baseball free agency. Needless to say, he is not a fan of the Phillies decision to platoon their center fielders. He also talks about options out there the Phillies can pursue, Didi Gregorius and Zach Wheelers situation. (1:57:59-2:40:39) The rest of the show belongs to you the FANatic! (2:40:50-2:47:01) It is time for Sound Off! Leave your very own Sound Off calls for Mike Missanelli at (610)-771-9705!

J.T. Realmuto has FINALLY been resigned by the Philadelphia Phillies along with Didi Gregorius. Is this enough to finally get to the playoffs with this talented roster? The MVP chants are heating up in favor of Joel Embiid and his play has elevated the play of the rest of his Sixers teammates. Nick Sirianni's press conference left much to be desired as the fanbase still doesn't know what the Eagles franchise will do for their quarterback situation.

On today's Locked On Giants podcast, host Ben Kaspick answers questions from listeners about what to expect from the Giants this offseason and next year. He talks about the fit of free agents Didi Gregorius, Tommy LaStella, Cesar Hernandez, and Blake Treinen. The next question answered is: Do you see Farhan/Harris going after Bauer/Stroman or Ozuna/Springer or LeMahieu/Semien or do you see them bargain basement hunting like they have been the last two years? Do they bring back Gausman/Smyly/Cahill or do they go find three cheaper versions? The next question asked and answered is: What would you consider a successful 2021 season for the Giants?
