In todays episode of OTB the boys talk about the Super Bowl 57 Rematch between Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes. The Philadelphia Eagles CRUSH the Kansas City Chiefs leaving many fans feeling justified over the course of the season saying that the team was not GREAT. Mahomes was pressured all night with 47% of his drop backs resulting in a pressure... Joe Burrow earlier this year playing against the Ravens faced 48% and dropped a four hundo on them... HMMMMM... Kickers ultimately were the REAL difference in the game Jake Elliot 4/4 on FGs made, Harrison Butker? ZERO... Maybe Nick Sirianni isnt a bad coach and Jalen Hurts is an Above Avg QB. We will discuss all this and more COMING UP! OFF THE BENCH! HERE WE GO!
Tek & Prem welcome Jon Marks of PHLY Sports on the VetLine to talk Super Bowl LIX. The Eagles and Chiefs meet again, this time in beautiful New Orleans to play for a Lombardi Trophy. With KC on the cusp of history and a third consecutive Championship, Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and Jalen Carter have other plans. The bitter taste of losing has left a scar on Hurts, and his team comes in with the league's top-ranked defense, after a record-setting 55 points in the NFC Championship Game. The Eagles enter the Super Bowl without committing a turnover en route for the first time in NFL History. Quarterbacks are 3-11 in Super Bowls when facing the league's best defense, and Patrick Mahomes has the challenge of doing so this time around. Saquon eyes rushing history, needing just 30 yards to break Terrell Davis' record of rushing yards in regular and postseason combined. On Feb 9th it will all be settled in an epic clash of the league's two best teams in 2024. Segments include: VetLineCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The Morning show shares some concerns about Jalen Hurts' performance, however, there is another player that is worrying too: Jake Elliot. Ross Tucker shares what he saw from Jake Elliot's warmups before the Packers game.
Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie discuss: are we overlooking the Rams? Joe thinks we are, Jon doesn't. There are still some concerns about Jake Elliot's performance. Jason Kelce joins the Morning show saying he thinks the Eagles will beat the Rams. He also thinks it's unfair to offensive underperformance solely on Jalen. If Kellen Moore takes a head coaching job and elsewhere, how will that affect the Jalen? The Morning show hears Sheil Kapadia's perspective on the Eagles vs. Rams NFC Divisional matchup, some calls and Time's Yours!
Joe DeCamara and Jon Rithcie open the show asking the question: are we overlooking the Rams? Joe thinks we are, Jon doesn't. Is Jake Elliot a true reason for concern in the Eagles playoff run? Ross Tucker sheds some light on how Jake Elliot looked last week.

The Eagles secured a victory over the Panthers, though it was not achieved in a particularly commanding manner. Such games are not uncommon, yet they inevitably raise certain concerns. The passing game was underwhelming, and AJ Brown expressed the need for improvement in the passing offense following the performance. Additionally, Jake Elliot has struggled with missed kicks throughout the season, prompting questions about when it may be appropriate to consider a change. 0:00-12:00) We recap the top of the hour as we wait for the Nick Sirianni press conference. We dive into the struggles of kicker Jake Elliot as fans do not seem to want to move on from him. (16:00-) We play the AJ Brown postgame clip of him saying the passing game needs to be worked on. Passing is the problem, and it is hard for the receivers to get into a rhythm. We understand the frustration, but the Eagles are winning why did AJ Brown publicize his feelings on the offense. Look at the Chiefs, Lions or Bills none of their weapons have publicly complained. We ask that he keeps the frustration In house. Tek & Prem discuss the Eagles Super Bowl expectations and the product they have put on the field through 12 games in 2024. Nick Sirianni is a winner. Vic Fangio has gotten the most out of a young and hungry defensive unit. Jalen Hurts continues to be disrespected by the fanbase and nationally. A young Carolina Panthers team comes to town this Sunday for a 1 PM kickoff at the Linc, and while they have improved, recently, a Super Bowl contender at home should easily roll through them. The Lions are the NFC pace-setters but there is still a month of football to play and some challenging games on their schedule as the Eagles have a semi-cakewalk. Saquon Barkley is on a record rushing pace and the Eagles Defensive Line has been as dominant as we have seen in years. The Flyers are young, talented, and getting better at a rapid pace. The young sensation Michkov has been as advertised, and they play with a gritty energy as a unit. The Sixers are still a dumpster fire with stars who seemingly do not want to take the floor and compete. I mean, I hate to say it, but I'll say it. The Eagles are damn good. But the league clearly wants them BACK against KC. And they'll likely get it. On 15 and 16 June, the closing arguments in the trial of R v Brian Charles Houston were heard at Sydney's Downing Centre, the prosecution and the defence allocated one day each. Jake Elliot from @the_framew0rk and me, Tanya were there both days to see these things in real life and he took notes while I stared at Bobbie. We take a good stab at understanding what took place, offer some opinions for what they're worth and we even hear from our LH lawyer !I don't think the prosecutor is Scottish but it was exciting to think so... this case is so detailed ... the best is still yet to come out!!! Hi there! Welcome back to Leaving Hillsong and The Court Case of Brian Charles Houston on one count of concealing a serious indictable offence, namely his father's child sexual abuse of a nearly 8 year old boy in 1970. Jake Elliot from @the_framew0rk (insta and FB) and me, Tanya Levin, combed through our notes fresh out of court. And this is what we got. It's such a fascinating case that it truly is worth keeping up and taking notes and week 2 is a bombshell and more. So grab your snacks and your sofa and socks and tune in to THE COURT CASE! PART 3 of Week 1. (Dec 5-9 2022) Producer : Kimberly Robinson
Jake Elliot from @the_framew0rk and Tanya from LH carry on with whatever sense can be made of the story so far in Week 1. The DPP is laying out an extensive and intricate case and neither of us know shorthand so we're doing our best with our notes. It's proving to be the highest theatre in the Downing Centre in Sydney for the trial of Brian Charles Houston, the former Global Senior Pastor of Hillsong for the singular count of concealing a serious indictable offence that being the assault of a boy in 1970 by his father, Frank Houston after 15 Sept 1999 until his father died in late 2004. The witnesses were so carefully chosen that we're trying to use our abundance of caution if only so that I can say 'abundance of caution' cos it sounds good. Come join as us in court! Producer: Kimberly Robinson
Jake Elliot from @the_framew0rk and Tanya Levin of @leaving.hillsong attended the trial of Brian Houston on a single count of Conceal a Serious Indictable Offence under Section 316 of the Crimes Act for the first 5 days at the Downing Centre in Sydney's CBD. We recorded notes as best we could, Jake on his iPad and me by hand. This is Part 1 of our note comparison of the events that unfolded over those 5 days. This episode covers day 1 and some of day 2 . More of the opening statements will be recorded later. As far as I know, this level of detail on this trial is available NOWHERE ELSE but Leaving Hillsong The best is yet to come out, so grab a chair and come join us in court! Producer: Kimberly Robinson

Then, Mayor Pete tells the benefits of visiting the shore town during the offseason, and tells of events that are taking place both this week and coming up. Then, Mayor Byron previews the next country music festival, which is already being planned for next year after a remarkable success last summer. The recent Monsterverse movies brought Godzilla back into popular culture in a big way. The Big G is enjoying yet another resurgence in popularity and Toho has been milking it. But this isn't the first time that the West tried to do Godzilla. Most will remember this entry, the 1998 Godzilla starring Matthew Broderick. And most remember it being terrible. But is it as bad as our memory says? Join us with Kay Hoddy and Jake Elliot from PCL to find out!
Kmess reacts to Cowboys vs Falcons after the week 10 beat down. The Cowboys are certainly not dead after losing to the Broncos. Dak Prescott balled out and Ezekiel Elliot's two touchdowns were huge. Everything was cooking. Nashon Wright had a blocked punt that lead to a touchdown, Micah Parsons may be the greatest athlete of all time and Trevon Diggs had ANOTHER interception. Dan Quinn got a huge win against his former team. CeeDee Lamb and the return of Michael Gallup put up some receiving highlights. Unfortunately Fox took the game off the feed because the Cowboys were winning by so much. Aidan reacts to the Eagles win over the Broncos in week 10. Aidan breaks down Jalen Hurts performance. Jalen Hurts had his coming out party in the first half. Is he a franchise quarterback? He sure looked like it. What else does he need to do to develop into a great QB? The guys that are here long term are finally starting to show growth. Howie Roseman was caught scouting college quarterbacks and Jalen gave showed him why he doesn't need to. Nick Soriano decided to mix in the run game and turns out that works! Who would've thought? Everyone? Boston Scott and Jordan Howard showed another solid performance. What happens when Miles Sanders is healthy? The offensive line held up other than one sack and one hit that lead to an interception. They opened holes against a solid Broncos defense. The defense finally showed some life. Did Darius Slay have a country fumble or a city fumble? Big Play Slay returned it for a touchdown either way. Good teams close and the Eagles closed with a Jake Elliot field goal to go up three possessions. Why did the Broncos deserve this loss? Is Alex Singleton a pass rusher now? DaVonta Smith is finally the wide receiver the Eagles have been looking for. He makes the incredible catches that Eagles don't usually make. The trade with the Cowboys worked out for everyone. For NOW - we got to go deep on the Sixers, and their impressive start. Maxey is becoming KEY (he just scored 39 points in a game), as well as Seth "Mild" Curry (get better soon Seth!). Tobias Harris? Not only is he a swell fella, he's also the most improved Sixer so far this year. Next up - the inevitable recap of the sorry finish to the Eagles season. The Philadelphia Eagles beat the New York Giants in overtime by a score of 23-17. Carson Wentz was clutch. That's right, I said it. In three drives late in the game, Carson Wentz delivered, but only two will show on the score sheet. The Eagles were down 17-3 at half and it was really ugly football. Eli Manning had two touchdown throws to Darius Slayton on third downs to beat Ronald Darby. When the score was 17-10 and it was the fourth quarter, Carson Wentz hit Greg Ward in the hands to tie the game and he dropped it. Jake Elliot missed a field goal on the next play. From there, Wentz went on an 84-yard drive with the offense which led to a Zach Ertz touchdown to tie the game with under two minutes to spare. The Eagles got the ball first in overtime and the rest is history. The offense flowed right down field and it resulted in another Ertz touchdown. It was a remarkable game by Wentz as he answered some of the critics in this one.
The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the Miami Dolphins 37-31. Yikes. Jim Schwartz had a horrendous game as his defense allowed five straight touchdown drives and the sixth drive was a field goal. It did not help that Jalen Mills and Ronald Darby forgot they needed to actually compete. DeVante Parker abused both of them for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Ryan Fitzpatrick had 365 yards and three touchdown throws. Carson Wentz and the offense scored 31 points which should have been enough to win the game. He wasn't perfect, but he wasn't bad either. Alshon Jeffery had 137 yards and one touchdown. The issue I have with the offense is Doug Pederson forgetting the run game again. 46 throws to 19 run plays. That is truly pathetic and it is a consistent theme with Pederson. Zach Ertz dropped some big passes. One of those drops, changed the entire game and instead of a touchdown for the Birds it resulted in a missed field goal by Jake Elliot. The Dolphins scored a touchdown on the next drive. What an embarrassing loss. The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Indiana Pacers at home by a score of 119-116. It was very close and come down to the wire. Ben Simmons had three steals in 13.9 seconds to solidify the win. One steal led to a Tobias Harris slam which gave the Sixers a two-point lead with 9.9 seconds left. The second steal went to Harris as well, but this time he got fouled and made both free throws. Joel Embiid had 32 points and 11 rebounds. He went 15 for 15 at the charity stripe. Ben Simmons went seven for seven, too. Furkan Korkmaz made the starting lineup because Josh Richardson could not play and he got abused defensively. It was to the point where Brett Brown had to give James Ennis run in crunch time because of it.

Sixers and Flyers win! Jake Elliot gets big extension, Eagles notes
The Philadelphia Eagles get embarrassed by the Minnesota Vikings 38-20. The defensive backs were abused all night long. Rasul Douglas, Sidney Jones, and Craig James were useless. Stefon Diggs, Kirk Cousins, and Adam Thielen had a field day against this defense. The Eagles did a reasonable job stopping Dalvin Cook. It didn't help that Doug Pederson had arguably his worst game as a coach. He tried a fake field goal at the end of the first half and decided to have Jake Elliot throw the ball instead of getting three points. Carson Wentz struggled at times, but also made good plays. He has no help with the skill players. It's bad when their best receiving weapon is Miles Sanders.

Accused This Sunday we will hear from four of our pastors, engaging the scripture above with different focuses: Denzyl: We'll briefly review the history of the religious high court, and roles of the priests in the trial of Jesus. Through this trial, we'll explore how their motives against Jesus are counterintuitive to their roles, and what it means to refer to Jesus, through his death and resurrection, as our High Priest. "For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin." - Hebrews 4:15 Colleen: When a group of people get together and decide something is true, when it is not, then what ensues can often be a tragedy. We know this to be true in our lives and in the world at large. When it comes to Christ, what then is our role? "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor." - Exodus 20:16 Jake: In our passage for Sunday, Jesus reveals to the mob the truth of who he is: the Son of God. Jesus's words here are few and seem to be chosen very intentionally. Why does the God of truth pass up an opportunity to defend himself against the people's lies? What do His words, or lack thereof, show about God's character at this trivial moment? "The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do." - Thomas Jefferson Danielle: Our passage ends with the supposed victory of the Jewish leaders and the apparent defeat of Jesus. In this moment, we see the beginning of the defeat of death and the enemies of God through unexpected ways. "He died, but he vanquished death; in himself he put an end to what we feared; he took it upon himself and he vanquished it, as a mighty hunter he captured and slew the lion." - St. Augustine

The Houston Texans did all they could but a 35-yard field goal from Jake Elliot sealed the victory for the Philadelphia Eagles, 32-30. While Deshaun Watson wowed all four quarters, his arsenal took a hit. The defense made several key plays but also allowed 519 yards of total offense from Nick Foles. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/texans-unfiltered---a-houston-football-podcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/texans-unfiltered---a-houston-football-podcast/support

It's near impossible to talk about Appalachia and video games, and games that "get Appalachia right", without talking about Kentucky Route Zero. The game itself is mysterious, filled with empty space and people with featureless faces, a five-part digital theater that leaves enough room for Appalachia to rush in. What is it about this surreal point and click adventure game that feels so real? In part two of Gaming Broadcast's "Playing Appalachia" series, we're joined by Cardboard Computer, the makers of Kentucky Route Zero, to learn what the magical has to say about the real (especially as it relates to Appalachia) and the surprising ways Appalachians responded to seeing their home reanimated in digital form. Cardboard Computer = games by Jake Elliot, Tamas Kemenczy, and Ben Babbitt. They're currently working on Kentucky Route Zero, a magical realist adventure game about a secret highway in the caves beneath Kentucky, and the mysterious folks who travel it. Acts I-IV of Kentucky Route Zero are available now, with Act V available sometime other than now. For part one of Gaming Broadcast’s series Playing Appalachia, a collection of conversations with Appalachian and Appalachian adjacent gamers and game makers, check out Ep. 18 What Games Are Getting Right About Appalachia with Dr. Elizabeth Catte.
