Hypnosis is often misunderstood and dismissed as performance or placebo.   In this conversation, Ebrahim Turner, widely known as the "billionaire hypnotist," breaks down what hypnosis really is and why it has become one of the most powerful tools for personal and professional transformation.   From rewiring habits and addressing deep-rooted trauma to improving performance in business and high-pressure environments like Dubai, Ebrahim explains how the subconscious mind quietly shapes our behavior, decisions, and emotional responses.   This episode explores why lasting change doesn't come from motivation alone, how trauma shows up in unexpected ways and why vulnerability is often the gateway to real confidence and success.   A raw, practical conversation about anxiety, identity, perception, and what happens when external success no longer masks internal struggle.  Timestamps 00:00 – The journey into hypnosis 02:11 – What hypnosis really is (and isn't) 04:36 – Suggestibility and the subconscious mind 08:26 – Success rates, expectations, and lasting change 10:54 – Skepticism around hypnosis 12:10 – Trust and safety in the process 15:08 – Working with high performers and billionaires 18:11 – Rapid Transformational Therapy explained 20:06 – Habits, patterns, and subconscious programming 23:34 – ADHD, trauma, and emotional roots 25:36 – Identifying the real core issue 30:08 – Using hypnosis in business and leadership 33:02 – The emotional reality of sales 37:05 – Fragility, resilience, and pressure 38:36 – Identity, self-image, and performance 41:07 – Discomfort, vulnerability, and growth 45:06 – Anxiety and imposter syndrome 52:46 – Revisiting trauma and emotional release 01:07:11 – Breath, awareness, and perspective shifts 01:09:08 – Visualizing success and changing perception 01:11:52 – Fear, confidence, and self-belief 01:14:51 – Transformational moments and breakthroughs 01:18:03 – Understanding emotional responses 01:21:57 – Social pressure, expectations, and comparison 01:25:53 – Finding calm in a fast-paced world 01:29:47 – Redefining success and growth 01:33:46 – The future of hypnosis and mindset work    Show Sponsors:   AYS Developers: A design-focused company dedicated to crafting exceptional homes, vibrant communities, and inspiring lifestyle experiences. https://bit.ly/AYS-Developers    Follow Spencer Lodge on Social Media  https://www.instagram.com/madeindubaipodcast/?hl=en  https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61586194260076  https://www.instagram.com/spencer.lodge/?hl=en   https://www.tiktok.com/@spencer.lodge   https://www.linkedin.com/in/spencerlodge/   https://www.youtube.com/c/SpencerLodgeTV   https://www.facebook.com/spencerlodgeofficial/      Follow Ebrahim Turner on Social Media  https://www.instagram.com/ebrahim/  https://www.facebook.com/ebrahimturner/   https://www.youtube.com/@ebrahim.turner  https://www.linkedin.com/in/ebrahimturner/   go.ebrahimturner.com/o

In this episode of the Donker Kamer Podcast, I speak with Kurdish photographer Ebrahim Alipoor, whose work brings visibility to stories that are often silenced in Iranian Kurdistan. He grew up in remote mountain villages where even basic things like knowing your official birth year or registered name were uncertain. His father, a village teacher, bought a single Yashica film camera to document his students, unknowingly planting the seed for Ebrahim's path as a photographer.Ebrahim shares how he became a self-taught documentary photographer in a region shaped by border economies, political repression, and the everyday risks faced by “kolbars,” men who carry heavy loads across dangerous mountain terrain to earn a living. His long-term project Bullets Have No Borders earned the World Press Photo Story of the Year, but for him the real purpose remains unchanged: preserving the untold stories of Kurdish life and history. He talks about arrest and censorship, the challenge of working without institutional support, and the years in which family and society pushed him toward a “normal job.” He explains how poetry, silence, and rhythm influence his visual language, and why he continues to follow long-term stories even when they bring little financial security. Ebrahim also shares a preview of his next project, focused on Kurdish mother-tongue education, another fragile, essential piece of cultural survival.A conversation about resilience, truth, and using photography as a bridge between lived experience and collective memory.Want to deepen your own photographic voice? We're hosting a five-day master workshop with renowned Dutch photographer Awoiska van der Molen from June 2–6 in the French Alps. It's an immersive, small-group program for photographers who want to refine their inner drive, narrative focus, and visual language.Apply by submitting your portfolio here.

Israel is ethnically cleansing Gaza by flying Palestinians out of the country on bogus humanitarian flights, according to the South African government. Planes from Gaza have been landing in the country in mysterious circumstances - and Israel has not responded formally to the allegation. The nations have a strained relationship, with South Africa filing a formal genocide case against Israel at the ICJ. Joining Piers Morgan to discuss this further is former South African ambassador to the United States, Ebrahim Rasool and Israel-American journalist Emily Schrader. Stablecoin progress to come with time and reg. clarity Ebrahim Poonawala has been busy exploring the topic of stablecoins and the impact on banks. He's hosted expert events, started a series of notes on the topic and has communicated with bank CEOs on developments and potential bank offerings. Ebrahim joins the podcast to talk about regulatory progress but the hurdles that remain before consumers and businesses can start using stablecoins just as they use deposit accounts. He also discusses how, for most consumers, there are inadequate incentives to switch from traditional credit cards to stablecoins for payments. He addresses the economics of stablecoin issuers, which are highly dependent on the level of interest rates, and how, if traditional banks were to issue a consortium led stablecoin solution, it could drive network effects and adoption. We also tackle the related topic of tokenized assets and the advantages they can provide. Stablecoins also come with risks, one of several reasons that adoption could progress more slowly than some expect.   You may also enjoy listening to the Merrill Perspectives podcast, featuring conversations on the big stories, news and trends affecting your everyday financial life.   "Bank of America" and “BofA Securities” are the marketing names for the global banking businesses and global markets businesses (which includes BofA Global Research) of Bank of America Corporation. If you're a longtime listener, then you'll remember we were fortunate enough to bring in Sydelle Barreto, the Policy Manager NAPAWF to talk about Clocking Inequality back on Season 4, Episode 39! NAPAWF has been hard at work with their latest report entitled “Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare in the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Community: Understanding Barriers to Access in Georgia”.  Fajer is a skilled legal advocate with substantial experience in organizing, policy, and legislative advocacy related to reproductive rights and justice, racial equity, survivor justice, and immigrant healthcare. Prior to her work with NAPAWF, she was a senior advisor with the Coalition to Expand Contraceptive Access; a consultant with the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders; a consultant with the Center for Reproductive Rights, as well as other stops.  NAPAWF is the only organization dedicated to uplifting and building power with AANHPI women and girls in the US. Employing a reproductive justice framework to guide their work, they use organizing, advocacy, and communications strategies to assert full agency over our lives, our families, and our communities. Working with the Emory University Center for Reproductive Health Research in the Southeast (RISE), this latest report by NAPAWF seeks to uncover the systemic barriers Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) women and gender-expansive individuals face in accessing sexual and reproductive healthcare (SRH). We recommend you read the full report, donate to NAPAWF, stay informed, and take action.
