If you begin to sin but don’t follow all the way through… is it still a sin? It depends. We’re offered two different scenarios. In one, the person is prevented from sinning due to external factors that make it impractical or impossible to commit the sin they had planned on. In the second scenario, we see someone preparing to sin, but then freely and rationally choosing not to. The first scenario is a sin, but the second is a virtuous act. Why? Because the second person freely decided not to commit sin, they morally aligned themselves toward the good when they had previously been aimed towards sin. They redirected their will toward God when they could have continued to go against him. In a simpler sense, they were headed down a bad path, but then turned around before making it to their destination. That being said, while the second person did realign themselves toward virtue, the extent to which they consented to this sin ahead of time may be worth a confession. Even though the person chose virtue in the end, their soul was still burdened with those thoughts, and in confession, those burdens are lifted through forgiveness. The beautiful part about our faith is that we have a Savior who is always ready and willing to forgive us. Surrendering our hearts to him creates a living relationship with God, where we trust his knowledge of our hearts, and run to him whenever we are in need of saving.

Forgiveness is very powerful and can shift our energy hugely when we are aware that holding the energy of anger, frustration or resentment are disempowering us and stopping us from living a peaceful and loving life of fulfillment, contentment and joy. I have forgiven many people in my life and overcome lots of suffering, healing and walked with the shadow of death. Yes!! I have lived death experience that was the most profound experience in my life. It taught me to forgive, release the past and fearful emotions, look forward to the future and that I am the conscious creator of me. What that means is my thoughts create my future events ie health wealth abundance of health wealth and love and gratitude. Powerful forgiveness prayer The ho’opoponpono prayer is a very powerful forgiveness prayer that heals suffering and shifts the mind and body into a peaceful place of harmony. It is a very powerful Hawaiian prayer. Originally taught by Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona. This episode is taken from The Healing Power of Prayer New Expanded Edition by Rev. Dr. Bridget Mary Meehan On the Cross, Jesus demonstrates the nature of unconditional forgiveness when he promises heaven to the good thief. He does not demand an apology or set up a schedule for retribution. He simply says: "Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise." (Luke 23:43). Likewise, Jesus realizes that when we hurt others we are often unaware of the damage we inflict. He offered total forgiveness to his executioners: "Abba, forgive them, they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34). When the rich young man decides to turn down his invitation to discipleship, Jesus does not give him a lecture on his lack of generosity or complain about the rejection he felt. Instead, Jesus looks at the man and loves him (Mark 10:17-22). Jesus does not limit his love or forgiveness to those who do things his way. He loves people unconditionally, always accepting them as they are. In the story of the prodigal son, the father does not become bitter with his son for leaving home, squandering his money, or embracing an irresponsible lifestyle. Rather, he patiently longs for his son's homecoming. When the son finally returns home, the loving father does not even wait for an apology or permit a confession. Embracing his son warmly, the forgiving father celebrates the beginning of a new and closer relationship with his son than he ever dreamed possible (Luke 15:11-32). An inability to forgive others for the hurts they have caused us leads to many psychological and physical diseases. These problems find their source, totally or in part, in bitterness, resentment, hostility, and unresolved conflict with others. These situations disturb our lives and often result in insomnia, headaches, stomach cramps, and neurotic and psychotic disorders. Forgiveness often is a key factor in freeing our body and mind to release the hostility that blocks spiritual growth. In Forgiveness Prayer, we ask Jesus to accompany us on a journey to reconciliation, inner freedom and healing.

I forgive myself today...

At times the universe provides illumination to the areas of our emotional body that we are ready to work on. The full moon is one of those time, it may also be when the soul feels out of alignment with our heart, something is blocking us, or something is missing. We may be searching for something that is hidden behind a more profound seeded emotion. Forgiveness and a common know forgiveness prayer may be suggested to help to discover and release this pent energy. If we do this DEEP work, we clear the energy and move forward, but if we only surface clear, the wound remains. During other illumination moments, we again feel this same need to clear and get frustrated why it's not removed in the past or why it recurs over and over again. This is a perfect time to explore and discover deeply hidden emotions, understand them, observe them, clear them, and see what is hidden behind them. Where have we layered emotions? Laurie gives suggestions, and tips/tools to stop surface healing and get the deep stuff done. Ways to feel you've done this deep work without it being so overwhelming, scary, or frustrating. She also suggests that you not wait until you are in crisis mode but use the energy of the moon and other illumination events to shine a light on the depths of your emotional body.
