Episode 194 Happy September 14th! As often as I pull cards, THIS week gave me a big surprise! It's basically a miracle sandwich... SEPTEMBER 14 ENERGY FORECAST: 21. Manifestation: You are a manifesting machine You’re literally a manifesting machine. Your thoughts are electric, and your body is magnetic. When your thoughts and feelings align, you can manifest instantly. Forget “realistic” or “timing”; you’re the one with the power. Today is the day to proclaim what you desire and by when. Release any stories around your wants and repeat this mantra: “The more I say yes to my desires, the more the Universe says yes to me.” Start small with a quarter, then a parking spot, then go wild; you deserve it! 43. Soulmate Client: Your dream clients are in your heart Heed the call, my love. Your soulmate client is here and is desperate to connect with you. Close your eyes and feel gratitude in your heart. Allow that energy to expand and connect to your one soulmate client; the one who loves working with you and paying for your services, and you love them too. This is the perfect time to listen to the whispers and the little hints that you sense. If you’re having writer's block, you're not connecting. Imagine there’s someone out there praying just for you and your services/offers...they’re actually desperate to find you, their life depends on getting your help. Not the help from someone “like you” but actually you; please stop denying them of your gifts. Ask any of these questions right now: “What would you like to hear from me? How can I best serve you right now? Why do you need me and this offer today? What do I need to do so you can find me?” Now TRUST in the messages and take action! XX Mystery card!! 39. Guardian Angels: Infinite support is here You’ve been working so hard! When you pull this card, 100 guardian angels appear around. Allow them to alleviate your anxiety, worry, doubt, and stress. Take a deep breath and know that you’re taken care of today and every day. Even though they’re invisible, your guardian angels are always here to surround you and infuse you with unconditional love.

Happy September! Today's episode was inspired by a fellow intuitive eating dietitian, Lauren Sharpe (@loandlemons) who posted on Instagram: "If you have to track every morsel of food you put in your mouth to maintain your weight, that is not a healthy weight for you." Lauren's post really resonated with me because I was DEFINITELY an obsessive food tracker in my disordered days. It started innocently enough with Weight Watchers in my teenage years but exploded into weighing, measuring, and tracking the calories of every single thing I ate. This led to my body being weight-suppressed, or at a lower weight than what was natural for my body shape and size. Even though I still fit into the "correct" BMI and weight range on those awful height/weight charts, there were many signals from my body trying to tell me this weight wasn't right. I lost my period for one year on three separate occasions. I was irritable, depressed, and high-strung around food and exercise decisions. I spent WAY too much time planning and plotting my meals, snacks, and workouts. And if I had to deviate from my rigid plans I would automatically be convinced I was going to start gaining weight. Listen today as I talk about how so many of us are tracking everything - calories, macros, carbs - to lose weight and maintain a weight that may be unrealistic. Is the weight that you now are as a result of stringent food tracking natural for you? If you stop tracking every little thing you eat will you stay at this weight? Are you willing to track food like this for the rest of your life and at what expense? * * * * * * Are you loving Speaking of Hungry? Episode 192 Happy September 7th friend! WOWZA - just like that we're in September! The energy this week is asking you to get present with all the good that's happening even in the midst of heavy stuff. Listen to what's wanting to be expressed and let it out! SEPTEMBER 7 ENERGY FORECAST: 1. Balance: Look at the blessings in your life Take a moment to look around at all of the blessings in your life. Some days it may feel like “too much” to take but what if that were just a story you told yourself so you could take a break? There are always sacrifices that must be made for the sake of success. Make space in your schedule for play, love, friendships, silence, and adventure. Work will always be there, but it’s time to fill your cup too. 15. Aligned Action: Don’t delay, act Has fear been tripping you up lately? Worried about your next steps? It’s time to get out of your head and into your heart. You, my dear, are energy and so is everything around you. If you choose to disconnect from that flow all around you and within you, you’re cutting yourself off from the flow. God/the Universe is sending you messages and signs every single day, and if you keep trying to make sense of them, you’re missing the whole point. The messages are coming to YOU, not someone else, and if you continue to ignore them or overthink them to death, the universe will simply stop sending them. Get that intuitive hit or nudge and TAKE ACTION! Do something with it, for goodness sake! Your angels are trying to be direct with you. You’re not a victim, you’re a powerhouse, so start taking action like one! 30. Leap of Faith: Feed your fear or your faith Do you feel like you don’t have the confidence for something right now? Guess what? That’s not a good enough excuse to stop. There are people who need you and maybe you don’t have the “perfect plan” but even if you did, something would shift and change. You’re adaptable and smart. You CAN do this! You’ve figured out harder things and you’re ready for a big shift. Are you gonna just stand there with your toes on the edge too worried to move, or are you going to take a running leap trusting that you’ll soar with your angels all around you? The choice is yours. Feed your fear or feed your faith. It’s up to you!

Happy September, Heifers! I did a different format this episode (well, just a tad different!). I wanted to have a more abstract intention for my September goals because lately I’ve been feeling like the three SMART goals structure isn’t vibing with me. I have a lot going on and I think I’m just saying things to fill in the slots as opposed to really sitting down and asking myself what I want out of this month, how I’m actually doing, etc. So, enjoy this hippy-dippy episode! I talk about my Pumpkin Spice Latte sorrow since I can’t have coffee, getting my fkin OIL CHANGED, and there are a few tangents in there that are sponsored by my Diet Coke consumption prior to recording. Let’s hope I can get my shit together this September! If you love this podcast, please consider giving it a review! Happy September everyone! As the days get shorter and pumpkin spice infiltrates every part of our lives, we decided to talk about the closest thing we get to do in the ED to be master bakers and chefs: procedural sedation. A cup of propofol, a dollop of ketamine and a pinch of fentanyl all added to a heavy base of pre-procedure safety checklists is the perfect receipt for a happy, sleepy patient who will never remember the awful things we discussed regarding abscesses over the summer. Sedations are fun if done well. Done poorly, they're like pumpkin-spiced Spam (real product, can't make this stuff up). So we're starting from the beginning with the why, the who and the how on procedural sedation in the ED. This week Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc in Houston, TX Louisiana. The folks in these areas need help and relief efforts need money. Please consider donating any amount of money to support hurricane relief efforts. Pray for them and make a financial donation. This episode is going to be a mash up of sorts: a summer goals recap, August affirmations summary, I’m going to a book festival this weekend, and what makes me tick professionally. Thanks for listening to the 25th episode of the View 112 Podcast. Happy September. For me, September is a serious month. Like summer is over, school, is back in session, etc. Kinda like January with the holidays being over and everyone’s back on their grind. I have a few things to share so lets get into it. Summer 2017 Goals: Summer Streak (writing) Summer Savings Summer Wellness My Summer Adventure So what happens when you do not reach your goals? Do you set the same ones? I re-assess, see where I went wrong and make adjustments. I think my first mistake is taking on way too much. I do that a lot if you haven’t noticed. Turns out my number one priority is school and all year I’ve known that. This summer my priority was to pass my math class and everything fell to that. August Affirmations I am worthy of all God has for me I will do what it takes to graduate in 2018 I will build a lucrative writing business and advance professionally My body is a powerful temple and I will take care of it I will give and receive love beyond my wildest dreams This week, at a work meeting we did an activity in which we had to identify our professional values. Out of a list of probably 50 or 60 values we had to pick our top 3. Turns out,my professional values line up with my personal values. I just HAD to pick 4: My Professional Values Faith Excellence Positivity Thoroughness Finally, I am headed out to the Library of Congress National Book Festival today! I’ve never been to a book festival and I’m so excited. I’m look forward to seeing how the literary community gets down. There are dozens of writers speaking today including authors like Roxanne Gay and Thomas Friedman, both of whose books I’ve read. I just can’t wait to take it all in. It’s free and at the Convention Center in downtown Washington, DC. I’ll be writing a recap of my experience.

Happy September!! We’re back this week with a J&C catch-up episode! We start off answering a few listener questions, which quickly turns into a lengthy update about how our macro lives are going. In a nutshell, life is not about weighing and measuring everything you eat, and though we are still learning a lot from our macro journeys, we take a peek at what our lives look like right now (hint: Joy spends half her nights falling asleep on the living room floor, and Claire is learning that having a baby and a full-time job and a husband in school do not lend themselves to working out regularly slash ever). Click here for the audio link to today’s Podcast. Or read the transcription of the audio below. Happy September, lightworker!I know fall is coming up because my ever-eager, inner Virgo has already lured me to Target a few times for ritualistic hunts for fresh journals, highlighters and pens.(Speaking of rituals, check out this post for tips on creating your own fall ritual to get you in the fall mood.)This month is when dreams and plans become form, when iced coffee and flip flops are replaced by pumpkin spice lattes and cozy blankets. It's time to get down to business.I'm ready.Harvest the Universe's Supply of Love, Money & TimeIn keeping up with the theme of fall, this month's first Intuitive Tuesday is dedicated to helping you receive the harvest of love, time and money from the Universe that you could be unconsciously blocking. Not an audio learner? That's OK. Read the article transcription below.Today, I want to talk about receiving, and give you two simple practices that will help you easily start the flow of receiving from the Universe.I was inspired by a recent call with one of my clients where she opened up about being an over-giver. She said she has always been a giver, in her friendships, as well as in romantic relationships.Giving Is Depleting If You're Not ReceivingGiving is amazing, and benefits both the giver and the receiver. But it can quickly become draining and depleting if you don’t allow yourself to receive.Think of the cycle of giving and receiving as a natural cycle of the Universe. In order to be in balance, you have to do both.We Receive in Many Ways - Energy, Time, Money, & LoveThe thing is, so many of us are caught in this “give, give, give” cycle and feel like a deer in headlights when it’s time for us to receive. I can definitely relate to this, and have a feeling many of you can, too. Receiving is crucial, and if you’re blocking yourself from receiving, you’re blocking yourself from abundance. Think about it – where do you feel a lack right now- is it money, love, time? Consider the ways you might be blocking yourself from receiving in these areas.Deflection is a Form of Self SabotageHere is an example of how you might deflect receiving love. Say that you’ve been working out, toning up, and have seen noticeable improvement in your energy and body. You’ve been giving a lot of yourself, and feel proud of your accomplishments. Now, imagine that your signficiant other tells you that you look amazing, better than you’ve ever looked before. That you’re beautiful and shining, inside and out!You can respond 2 ways – you can either receive the compliment, say thank you and genuinely feel and receive the love of that statement, or you can deflect, be embarrassed, and either change the topic or mumble a “thank you, I’ve JUST been working out more” (notice how the word “just” downplays the tremendous effort you’ve been giving). The first way allows you to receive the love from the Universe through your partner, and the second way deflects it.2 Practices to Start Receiving More TodaySo, the first practice I want to share with you is to practice saying “thank you” and pausing after to genuinely feel and soften into your “thank you”. It’s a way to start receiving in a small way, that will open doors to higher levels of receiving. The second practice I’d like to share with you is a mantra with my favorite receiving crystal – rose quartz! Buy a rose quartz and say this mantra “I open myself to receiving.”That’s it!There are so many other things I can say on this topic, like how feminine energy is receiving and how masculine energy is giving, but this Podcast would go on forever! If you’re interested in diving in deeper, check out my 30 Day Energy Cleanse where I spend a whole day talking about this.I hope that this has served you and I will see you next next week for the next session of Intuitive Tuesday!
