In this episode I talk about skipping a bunch of school and finding out I would not be able to graduate High School. I discuss a few people and things around me that helped motivate a determined response to find a way to get the credits needed to graduate high school. To me this was the first time in my life I took a situation into my hands and helped create the outcome I desired.
Today on the show we have Marcus Holman. Marcus is a graduate of North Carolina. He currently plays lacrosse for the Ohio Machine. He's a member of Team USA and will compete in the World Games in Israel this summer. Marcus is from Baltimore, MD. He played lacrosse at Gilman High School. At UNC he was Rookie of the Year in 2010 and twice All ACC. He was a two time All-American, and a 2 time Tewaaraton Award nominee. At one point, he held UNC's all-time scoring record until 2015 where he was passed by Joey Sankey. He's an MLL All-Star and two time member of team USA. He currently hold the records for most goals in a single MLL game with 11. Today on the show we got a chance to talk about his time as a young player in high school, his time at UNC, how he mentally prepares for games, and much much more. On April 3rd, 1948, Jeju Island was caught in a civil war-like time of violence and human rights abuses. This is when the period known as the Jeju Uprising and Massacre began. The Korea File spoke with participants at the Jeju 4.3 Commemorative Street Festival last Friday to hear their impressions of this tragic event in Jeju's history.
