The news of Texas covered today includes:Our Lone Star story of the day: What is Governor Abbott trying to hide, if anything, related to his last moment veto of the state ban on get-high hemp THC? The Feds have now closed the very loopholes that allowed a new multi-billion get-high drug industry that was never intended to be part of hemp production but Abbott, at the last moment vetoed Texas' bill doing the same. Mr Huffines promises to "DOGE" Texas. What does that mean?
In July 2020, 18-year-old Grant Solomon died under suspicious circumstances in Gallatin, Tennessee. According to his father, Aaron Solomon—a former Nashville news anchor—Grant was accidentally run over by his own truck in a parking lot. However, the official investigation was minimal, with no autopsy performed and no forensic analysis of the vehicle. Grant's mother, Angie, and sister, Gracie, have long alleged that Aaron was responsible for his death, citing inconsistencies in his account and a history of abuse. Gracie has publicly accused her father of sexual abuse, claims that were reportedly substantiated by child protective services. Despite these allegations, Aaron Solomon has not faced charges related to his son's death or the alleged abuse.I interviewed Angie Solomon in 2022, when she was still actively fighting for justice in the death of her son, Grant, and amplifying her daughter Gracie's harrowing abuse allegations against Aaron Solomon. At the time, she struck me as a mother driven by heartbreak and righteous fury—a woman exhausted by a system she believed had abandoned her children. That's why the recent news of her arrest in an alleged murder-for-hire plot is nothing short of shocking. These new revelations—claims that she tried to arrange Aaron's killing to access a trust fund for Gracie—cast a jarring light on a story already drenched in tragedy. It's a stunning twist that complicates everything we thought we knew about the Solomon family's painful and public fight for justice.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Written by Reed LochamyPlayed by Will Lochamy, Bella Tucker, Hunter Briggs, Josh Huffines, Tori Holland, and Matt VazcainoFor most rounds, there are three questions, and you rank your answers, assigning point values of 5, 3, and 1 each round, depending on your level of confidence. The one you feel best about is your 5-point answer, the one you're just guessing on is your 1-point answer. (For any rounds where the points don't work this way, we'll discuss that during the game.)If you feel certain that you know the answer to all three questions in a typical round, then instead of assigning points of 5, 3 and 1, you can go for 11 points. If you do that and you answer all three questions correctly, you get 11 points (instead of 9). However, if you do that and you miss just one question, you get a 0 for the round. The bonus round question has five possible answers. You get 3 points for every correct answer you submit. Like with going for 11 in typical rounds, though, you can choose to go for 20 in the bonus round (but doing so is risky in the same way that going for 11 in typical rounds is).Have questions about the game or how it works? Please feel free to email those to will@bhammountainradio.com

This episode features Dr. Megan Williams, a faculty member in the School of Public Health at Texas A&M University. She was also a former collegiate volleyball player. Dr. Willams shares her experience finding identity after collegiate athletics and emphasizes the importance of psychological support for student-athletes. Former Candidate for Texas Governor and freedom advocate Don Huffines delivers this powerful message to the Ron Paul Institute's 2023 Houston Conference, "They Lie!"
The news of Texas covered today includes:Our Lone Star story of the day: Former Texas state senator and gubernatorial candidate Don Huffines joins me to talk tax relief, the border crisis and what's not being done, and about the Huffines Liberty Foundation. Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.Showing how ignorant are liberal Democrats, a Gallup poll shows 83% of Democrats deny there is a “crisis” at the border with Mexico. Note how soft Gallup spins the story in their own write up versus how another outlet took it to show the real problem with reality today's Democrats have. The change from 2019 among Democrats to today is astounding given that the border situation has gotten much worse under the Biden administration. And, other news of Texas.Listen on the radio, or station stream, at 5pm Central. In this episode, I sit down with Angie to begin to explore what happened to her and her children and how her pursuit for answers and justice for Grant and Gracie has been thwarted by those in power.
