After a long battle with health problems, Pope Francis has passed away at 88 years old. One has to ask, however, is the regret his death or the life he led as a man with a slew of unrepentant falsehoods that he spread for 12 years? Francis actively promoted liberalism, tolerance, weakness, and globalism. His death also poses a question: Is Pope Francis fulfilling the prophecy of the popes, and is the second coming actually here? Next, Jason Sullivan joins the show to discuss the latest assassination attempt against President Trump, once again tied to Ukraine. Finally, the White House is celebrating Easter Monday and is actually centering the celebration around Christ. All this and more on today's Untamed!
It can't help but seem like DOGE is the gift that keeps on giving. In the past few weeks, it was USAID, the Department of Education, and others. Now, the IRS, the FAA, and possibly the Pentagon are on the chopping block next. But not everyone is happy. In fact, in the past week, there have been massive protests across the country against President Donald Trump and DOGE. Later, Jason Sullivan joins the show to discuss what's going on internationally—specifically, the peace agreements between Ukraine and Russia, and Zelensky's outright resistance to participate. All this and more on today's Untamed.

Last spring's crab fishery started six weeks late after a price dispute, and ended with low pay and little satisfaction for harvesters. The best way to determine the value of a pound of crab has been an issue for years, and after last season, the province set up a price-setting review panel to fix the problem. The government wanted to see a new pricing formula in place by the end of January. But that hasn't happened, and fishermen like Bay Bulls' Jason Sullivan are getting worried.
Bay Bulls Fisherman Jason Sullivan wonders if a new formula-based pricing model for crab will work this year + Graham Wood has a petition for DFO to increase the dates allowed for the recreational groundfish fishery + A blast from the past: a look at the myths surround the whistle at Newdock from 2008.

Patrick Sullivan, MD, and his son Jason Sullivan, MD are two orthopedic surgeons here at DMOS. In this Joint Effort episode, the father-son duo chat about their upbringing, family life, education, and even share a few funny stories! Learn about how Dr. Jason Sullivan followed in his father's footsteps in becoming an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Jason Sullivan explains, “When I was growing up, you never said, ‘hey, you need to do orthopedics.' I think I just saw a pretty good career, and I thought it would keep me intellectually stimulated.” Dr. Patrick Sullivan stated the importance of making your own career choices, “It's very interesting that you made the independent choice, and you're happy with it like I was; I'm happy and proud of you for that. I think everyone has to find their own way to what they want to do.” Over their time at DMOS, they have had cases where they could combine their skillset and work alongside one another. Working together has allowed the two to learn from each other's surgical experiences and expertise. Dr. Jason Sullivan exclaimed, “That to me was a heck of a lot of fun.” They both enjoy the times they have gotten to work together and hope to do more cases together in the future. As for the next generation of Sullivans, is orthopedics in the cards? Dr. Jason asked Dr. Patrick if he would encourage any of his children to do orthopedics. “Here's what I'd tell them to do. Find out what you're good at. Try a whole bunch of things; see where your natural interests, skills, and intellect range is. Then find a career in that sphere that allows you independence and to be sort of self-employed, so you have more control of your world and enjoy what you do.” The Sullivan's have a combined total of over 40 years at DMOS. Their dedication to providing the highest quality of orthopedic care and their support from one another is extraordinary. We dedicate this Father's day episode to all the wonderful dads in the world. Happy Father's Day!

The Common Fund Doctrine seems simple enough – it focuses on sharing the costs to obtain a recovery fairly. Those who will benefit from the common fund of the recovery must share in the cost of obtaining it. Just like the Made Whole doctrine, though, it can feel unfair when a personal injury attorney seeks to reduce the subrogation recovery for seemingly no reason. On this week's installment, Rebecca is joined by fellow attorney, Jason Sullivan to discuss when the Common Fund Doctrine applies, and how to figure how much, if any, it will reduce your subrogation lien.
