Was hilft gegen ausufernde Krankheitsphänomen?

Was wurde konkret umgesetzt?

2023.04.11 – 0831 – The Key Thing of BreathingBREATHINGWe've looked before at the importance of proper breathing, not just to give you life (!) but to give your voice enough support so your words are heard and you have enough fuel to feed your voice to the end of a thought. Additionally, your voice will sound ‘fuller' (not ‘louder' or ‘deeper' but with more ‘colour' and ‘resonance'), with more range, and your articulation will be more agile. What you say will sound more inviting and compelling: “That gives you more ways to express yourself and gives the listener more variety, which keeps the sound of the story interesting and engaging.”Jessica Hansen, NPR Voice Coach[1] Respiratory issues can also affect how you sound – perhaps unsurprisingly as ‘breathing is the key thing' when it comes to a better voice. That could be:· high-breath inhalations· poor tonal quality· vocal fatigue· dryness in the mouth and vocal folds· a loss of range· snatching or gasping for air· running out of breath and bulging neck veins.Your voice is breath. Jessica Hansen is the voice of NPR's funding credits, and serves as in-house voice coach at NPR headquarters. She coaches voice for NPR, member stations, corporate groups, executives, professional theater companies, as well as hosts, journalists, and private clients nationwide. Jessica began acting at age 5, and was a cast member of a tween TV series at 12. She's performed Guest Star roles on NBC's Parks & Recreation and HBO's Veep. In today's episode of the Soul of Life, I speak with Jessica about how she's helping performers work with new challenges while working from home. "That separation of your home life just doesn't exist now. Your kid is in the room with you. The baby's on your lap while we're doing this work.... …You can't curl up in a ball under a bed spread, you can't breathe that way you can't make sound that way.” What kind of vocal tips does Jessica give to people like Ari Shapiro, Mary Louis Kelly, or Sylvia Poggioli? What's in a voice anyway? Does the way we make the sound of our voice really convey what we think it does? Bob Ross' voice is discussed, as is "vocal fry," the lowest register (tone) of your voice characterized by its deep, creaky, breathy sound. "I think it goes back to Paris Hilton, [saying with heavy vocal fry sound] 'That's hot.'" Ever since he was a young boy growing up in Langhorne Creek, three-time Paralympian Michael Roeger has dreamed of winning gold for his country. In Sport Integrity Australia’s third edition of its podcast ‘On Side’ Michael talks about the Tokyo 2020 setback given his “hot” start to the year, his penchant for making up stories about how he “lost” part of his arm, his first sporting love, and why he thinks Paralympians are less likely to dope than their Olympic counterparts. We also chat to Australian Dolphin Jessica Hansen on her recent move to Canberra, what drives her to get out of bed to train each morning and her role as a Sport Integrity Australia athlete educator. Finally, we look back at what is regarded by many as the greatest NSW Rugby League grand final of all time and our athlete educator, swimmer Hayley Baker, answers the question ‘Are anti-depressants banned in sport?’ Roeger, who was born without the lower part of his right arm, believes the feeling he had when he beat the 1500m world record in Boston in 2015 “would be worth $1million” and is “his greatest achievement” after coming close to the feat multiple times. He now focuses on the most gruelling event in athletics – the marathon – to which he holds the T46 marathon world record and says the postponement of Tokyo 2020 was especially disappointing because he was in the best form of his career.   “It was one hit after the other,” he says. “I really did feel that 2020 was my year; mentally, physically; I feel like I had all my competitors covered. I was mentally ready, physically [ready], I felt I could’ve done anything this year and that’s been taken away from me…the tough thing is fitness, health one year is not guaranteed the next.” In our From The Highlight Reel segment we look back at the 1989 NSW Rugby League grand final regarded by many as the greatest of all time and speak to Steve Jackson, who sealed the win for the Canberra Raiders with a try in extra time. Jackson, the self-confessed naughty boy who rather than dip his toe in the water would dive head-first, admits he played and lived his dream. He also talks about his transformation and how he now uses his own experiences to help young people. Our guest Australian Dolphin breaststroker Jessica Hansen is not a morning person. It may take three alarms but gets out of bed to train “because I know that when I go to training I can improve something or work on something, there’s always something to get away from this session to help me achieve my goals”. Jessica Hansen (https://www.thejessicahansen.com/) is our special guest on today's episode of Traffic and Leads Podcast (https://trafficandleadspodcast.com). Jessica helps women get their businesses launched and automated by creating systems, and making sure that things are running in the very best way possible. This week, she’s here with us on the Traffic and Leads podcast to tell us all about the work she does, the software she likes, and how to make sure that your system is up to snuff. Let’s get started! IN THIS EPISODE YOU WILL LEARN: * What it is Jessica does! As stated, she’s the Systems Magician, and Jessica helps visionary women get their businesses launched and automated! She explains that she picked women because of how much she enjoys with them and that she works with mothers specifically because it’s a unique demographic that the bigger names in business don’t understand. There’s a lot of intricacies that you have to balance when you’re a mother with a business, and those are the people that Jessica likes to relate with and help because they’re not well served in the marketplace at the moment. * Jessica takes a moment to discuss Alexa flash briefings with me, along with her book, The Resilience Code. Her book, which just released, is all about creating systems in your life and in your business, so you can be more resilient, and so you can deal with the ups and downs that come your way. If you subscribe to her Alexa flash briefing—Biz Marketing Magic—you can get sneak peeks of the content in her book for free! * Jessica explains that the best systems are the ones that run automatically. This means that you don’t have to think about what you do day to day (since it just happens) and that sometimes, the computer can do it for you, so you don’t even have to be present for things to get done! * Jessica states that every business needs someone that will manage their tasks, and when someone calls her for help in their business, she has a very specific way to get started. If people don’t know where to start, Jessica routes them through an intensive 2-hour interview process to understand what they’re trying to do, and what they’re actually doing. When someone doesn’t know what they’re trying to do, they aren’t really accomplishing any of their goals—it’s important to get things aligned so they can create a system! * Jessica gives us a tip on creating systems, explaining that every time you do something, you should write down what you did. That way, you can go back to it later to see if how you were doing it gave you the best results. If it didn’t, you know what you did, and you can implement a change in your process as soon as possible! * Jessica shares with us the best tools for creating systems for digital marketers, stating first that she’s a big fan of doing things as free and cheap as possible. With that said, Jessica is a big fan of Google Suite, due to how much it can do for free! Additionally, Jessica has a paid membership for Zapier, which is a tool that people can use to create an integration between two applications that don’t have one already! She and I explain the process through an example of myself, and what she did for our business! * Lastly, Jessica explains how important it is for her to try new software! She’s always testing what she can to see if there’s a better, cheaper way to get something done. Efficiency means saving time and money, not just buying whatever is new to do it for you!

I interview Jessica Hansen, Global Engagement Manager for Kiva (the world's largest microfinance non-profit) and a lifelong traveler who is deeply committed to doing good in the world. It is difficult to know what impact our jet-setting has, and how much money is actually going into the local economy rather than benefiting other parts of the tourism industry. It's also hard to know which voluntourism organizations are actually helping, versus those that (while well-intentioned) are actually hurting people or environment they seek to serve. Jessica talks about what to look for when seeking to do good while traveling, what are red flags, and which organizations are doing incredible work in regards to social impact travel. She also shares some of her own personal travel journeys, and what led her to embark on a life of international service.Visit my website to learn more about me, and say hi on social media: @jetsetlisette.See Full Show NotesEnjoyed this episode?  If so, please rate and review on Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen.

Tough Talk Christian Radio with Host Tony GamboneSpecial Guest Cathy Cardio and Jessica Hansen: Cathy Cardio is based on Long Island. Her debut book, It All Matters, The Parent Project, was inspired by her grandparents and parents and the many questions she wished had been answered - the adventures, the struggles, wisdom and stories. It is her hope that future generations will have such insight. www.outskirtspress.com/cathycardio Jessica Hansen's journey REALLY started as a teenager. I suffered some serious setbacks. I lost friends. I lost family. Lost out on a lot of fun. Lost myself. I gained a son. But the trials didn’t end. I gained a severe case of depression, drug and alcohol problems, leaving everything I knew behind to move across the country, counseling, medication, homelessness, domestic violence, welfare, bankruptcy, single parenting. And, I gained another son, a college education, a fantastic corporate job, a new appreciation of the power of God, a wonderful husband, and finally two more children. www.thejessicahansen.com
