Destroying the Lying Spirit Working Against You. Can you serve God anywhere? Will God understand? Can you walk in compromise and not be affected? Ungodly agreements lead to destruction. Whom are you partnering with? What have you allowed to listen to that is against the will of God? What you listen to can lead you in God's will or away from it. Make up your mind ahead of time that although you will face opposition, you will not cave into it. You will be ridiculed, pressured and most of this by your own family members that don't understand. Will you stand for truth? You will face difficult circumstances, but either you will stand for Christ, or you will be against Him. God will allow a lying spirit to deceive, entice and persuade someone who is bent on doing their own will. 2 Chron. 18:20-22 Ahab and Jehoshaphat went into the battle Micaiah warned them not to go into. God had mercy on Jehoshaphat and saved him from death. But wicked King Ahab died in battle. He was warned but he did not heed. He was stubborn and pursed and persisted in his own will. You will only fall for a lying spirit if you already are in a posture of compromise. You can be in compromise simply by not heeding proper counsel. God will always send a messenger to help you hear Him, but if you do not pay attention to it destruction lies ahead.

Beware of the lying spirit, which seeks only to please and make you happy. God used the seductive influence of false prophets to judge King Ahab. The false prophets were determined to tell Ahab what he wanted to hear. God confirmed their plans to lie as a means to remove Ahab from the throne....Beware of the lying spirit!

Satan is the father of all lies. Lying and deceiving is his his main tool and weapon against the kingdom of God and the souls of men. Every sin is preceded by a lie or many lies. A lie is what makes that which is forbidden desirable. Our greatest defense against this formidable foe is an intimate knowledge of the Word of God. Casual knowledge of the Word of God makes a person more susceptible to the devil's lies. Intimate knowledge of the Word of God only comes from personal reading and study. Intimate knowledge of the Word of God is a body of understanding, not just a database of facts.

The Dangers Of Believing A Lying Spirit

Scripture references for today's declaration entitled "The devil has no new tricks":   Trick # 1: The Bait of Satan – Offense A great read is John Bevere's “The Bait of Satan”  • Luke 17:1 - Offenses will come • 2 Timothy 2:24-26 – Paul warns of the entrapment of the enemy • 1 Peter 1:6-7 – God refines with afflictions, trials, and tribulations • Colossians 2:13-14 – We are forgiven • Matthew 18: 21-27 – So forgive others • Acts 24:16 – Exercise the posture of your heart • Romans 12:18, 14:19, Matthew 5:9 – Become a peacemaker • Philippians 1:9-11 – Walk in the love of God   Trick #2: The Lie of Satan - Seduction Seducing spirits tell untruths and lies that sound completely believable. They have control of the person they are possessing, and that person seduces others.   For man, seduction began in the Garden of Eden (The Spirit of Treason see Genesis 2: 15-17, 3:1-6:)   The devil used half-truths to give the impression he had new secret information.   Here are some names of Seducing spirits to be aware of: 1. The Spirit of Pride (1 John 2:16) 2. The Spirit of Treason - “Did God really say . . . ?” Always tells you things against God's will (1 Timothy 4:1-6, Genesis 2: 15-17, 3:1-6) 3. The Spirit of Jealousy - Genesis 4:5-8 (Cain/Abel): 1 Samuel 18:6-15 (Saul / David) 4. The Lying Spirit – 2 Corinthians 11:14: And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. The Holy Ghost told me to be sure to lay my hands upon her; and when I did, this is what happened. She later shared with me the secret the demon was saying she wasn’t going to tell; and, dear hearts, it was a PURE LIE. There was also another young lady there with her son and when that demon manifested, she IMMEDIATELY left. Before she left, I heard the demon in my daughter tell the lady goodbye.
