Creative entrepreneurs are a special kind of entrepreneur, and as a creative entrepreneur, I say that in the most positive and loving way. Our mission, our fuel, and our inspiration are different than others. We have a passion for creating, and sometimes that can make entrepreneurship difficult. Sometimes we feel like it's a constant pulling between creativity and entrepreneurship. Where's the balance? Is it possible to be "successful" financially and to be fulfilled creatively? Is it better to be focused on the passion and creativity or to be focused on the business? This podcast episode is inspired by an interview I watched on the Colin & Samir show with Max Fosh, a well-known YouTube creative entrepreneur known for the extensive lengths he will go to for the sake of humor. One of my favorite gems from the interview was discussing two different metrics of success that we as creative entrepreneurs have - one metric relating to our passion and creativity, and the other relating to financial success. So, of course, we dive all into a conversation on that, plus other gems from the interview, including a quick path to a short career, constraints as creatives, and failing as a creative.I hope that these perspective shifts are as inspiring, motivational, and impactful for you as they were for me! -----Looking for support? *This is part two of Max Fosh's episode. Though you are free to listen in whichever order you so desire we really do recommend listening to part one first or things might be slightly confusing*In the Other Realm there is a popular website called YouTube. It's a lot like a pub; except instead of serving pints, digestible video content is what's in stock behind the bar. Chances are that if you want to find out about anything there will be a YouTube video covering it, and this week we're joined by a YouTube superstar whose videos get MILLIONS of views (but he's also a world-class Pubsman in his own right). It's Max Fosh!Max is what could be described as a bit of a prankster, and some of his most popular videos include tricking people into thinking they've landed at the wrong airport, becoming the richest person on earth for seven minutes, and hiring a parrot to bet for him in Las Vegas. But away from that, Max is as brilliant a pub-goes as the rest of them, and we can't wait for him to join us at The Moon Under Water.Do you have a message that you want to send to the Landlord? Maybe it's a guest suggestion, or a message about the best lager you've ever had? If so, send it to robbie@moonunderpod.com. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

This week, we go back to one of our favourite topics: Youtubers. And in particular, we talk about a recent video from Max Fosh, an elder millennial British 'prankster' who, like many of his generation, are trying to figure out what's next for their online careers. We discuss the crisis facing older Youtubers through a recent video Fosh put out where he turns Mr Beast's saliva into a cheese, and makes a well meaning, but clearly confused Turophile eat it on camera. -------- PALESTINE AID LINKS As the humanitarian crisis continues to unfold in Gaza, we encourage anyone who can to donate to Medical Aid for Palestinians. You can donate using the links below. https://www.map.org.uk/donate/donate https://www.savethechildren.org.uk/how-you-can-help/emergencies/gaza-israel-conflict Currently, Aid is not getting through. You can donate with the knowledge that these funds will be used the instant Aid is allowed into Gaza, but please do make your voice heard in other ways about this. Showing up at protest marches and writing letters to elected MPs are useful acts of solidarity. -------- PHOEBE ALERT Can't get enough Phoebe? Max Fosh joins Soph and Michael on the podcast to talk about fine dining and we promise it's not as unbearably posh as that sounds. On today's episode, I'm chatting with a Youtuber and comedian, about to hit the road on tour. From as early as 11 years old, this week's guest loved to make people laugh. Whether it was his mother on the way to school or a sold out venue, he always had a knack for entertaining and little did he know, would soon make a career out of doing just that. During his time at university, he decided to pursue his then dream of broadcasting and started a Youtube channel to get some video work under his belt. Setting up outside nightclubs, he began interviewing drunk students and StreetSmart was born. From then on, hard work and a chance encounter set the ball rolling. Filling in the gaps and sharing his insights into longevity online, why Youtube is the smart move and his upcoming Zocial Butterfly tour, here's what it's like to be Max Fosh.
