How do you maintain a sense of home when you're on the road? Musicians go where the music takes them. It can be hard to feel at home when you change cities every day, moving from hotel room to hotel room. But little traditions might help some artists with settling into a new place. One of the many perks of going on tour is the opportunity for artists to discover new cultures. Local music and art, but also different languages, customs and traditions. Touring can also make the most mundane act of eating into a memorable experience. A big part of travelling the world happens while going from plate to plate. The conversation centers around a unique music festival held in abandoned villages in Greece. Jenny explains that she chose to focus on Dimitris Mistakivis, a professional musician and social activist, as the main character for the music festival episode. However, concerns about infrastructure, health services, and social isolation in rural areas are raised. Jenny highlights the lack of support from local government for cultural initiatives.Young people in Greece are rethinking their lives and considering a return to rural areas. Marc Roberge (@MarcRoberge) is the thoughtful, sincere, brilliant, fun and tenacious lead singer of the massively successful band, O.A.R. (@OfARevolution). Together, with his bandmates and childhood friends from Rockville, Maryland, Marc has built one of the most successful bands of the last two decades. O.A.R is successful because of the concerts they’ve sold out and the hits they written like Shattered (Turn the Car Around) and That Was A Crazy Game of Poker. But more importantly, they’ve been successful because of the impact they’ve made. From veterans coming home with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), to kids with cancer, to music programs in schools, to Habitat for Humanity, to the Special Olympics, O.A.R has been a trailblazer in making music matter. If you know their songs, you know why they’re great. If you don’t, you’ll quickly realize that you know more of their music than you thought. And you’ll find out why they’re important, iconic and inspiring. It’s an uplifting and insightful conversation that takes you deep inside the world of music, and the story of a local high school band that went all the way to selling out Madison Square Garden and Red Rocks. If you love music, this is an episode that’s in your key. But the music of politics in America right now, unfortunately, is not an OAR song. It’s Eric Clapton’s Tears in Heaven. Or it’s a tragic opera. It’s a gut-wrenching aria. It’s Puccini’s La Bohem. And host Paul Rieckhoff (@PaulRieckhoff) artfully takes Angry Americans (@AngryAmericans) deep inside where music and politics collide and through the urgent stories you need to know about. And after 4 weeks, General Motors workers are still on strike. Impeachment is gaining steam. Our President sold-out the Kurds, leaving them to be slaughtered by the Turks--who have now crossed the border into Northern Syria. There’s a new scandal at the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Minnesota Twins collapsed in the playoffs yet again. The Jets, Bengals and Dolphins haven’t won a game. And Paul got a butt-dial from Rudy Guiliani. Yes, really!  As we creep closer and closer to Halloween, October is looking scarier and scarier by the day. But don’t fret. Paul takes you through all of it, with his trademark independence. And the 4 I’s: Integrity, Information, Impact and Inspiration. If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention. Download the new Angry Americans podcast for free now. 15: Bailee Ann Talks Music, Meeting Bunnie, and Why Jelly is Extra

The most requested guest joins Bunnie this week — her daughter Bailee Ann! This smart, well spoken, and super talented little gal joins Bunnie and Jelly to talk about what keeps her so booked and busy as a 6th grader, the hilarious story of how she and Bunnie met, and their quirky family traditions. Bailee also spills the secrets on a real typical family night at home, what it’s like having Bunnie and Jelly as parents, how she stays so strong, and what’s going on for her in the world of music and writing.    Takeaways:  Bailee made the big move this year from elementary school to junior high, and is killing the 6th grade game so far. She just made it into choir and picked up the drums as an instrument in addition to playing the guitar.  Bailee is a natural born performer and entertainer. She didn’t have a shred of stage fright with joining Jelly in front of 800 people in Dallas, Texas.  As proven with her great work writing a verse on Jelly’s “Sunshine After the Rain,'' Bailee loves the mixture of rapping, singing, and songwriting. Once she starts writing more, Jelly will take her into the studio and help her produce some tracks.  Bailee has been making up her own lyrics and songs since she was very little. Jelly fully supports her creativity, but also is very protective of her in the music business.  Jelly has been focusing more on his health lately, and has been hitting the weights so much Bunnie thought his rock hard arm was actually his elbow!  Yes, Bunnie and Jelly will have a wedding one day in the near future, and Bailee will get a brother or sister. They have baby fever and promise to bring everyone along on the journey.  Bailee and Bunnie accidentally met first on FaceTime 8 months before they met in person. Bailee wasted no time and asked Bunnie what her intentions were for Jelly, and she was happy to hear Bunnie just wanted to look out and care for them both as a family.  The whole family goes absolutely crazy for Halloween, and embraces it fully. This year they are thinking of being the Adams Family, so keep your eyes peeled for a super hot Morticia.  Bailee stayed strong while her biological mother battled with addiction. She is a role model to all of us that it’s powerful to express our feelings and even cry.  Bunnie doesn’t mind being the “bad cop” when it comes to keeping miss Bailee safe, sound, and a little lady with great manners. It’s all in the name of love.    Quotes:  “It’s easier for me to sing or be able to do something musical about my story or how I’m feeling than to talk about it.”  “The worst thing you tell a fat person is that they are shaped like a refrigerator.”   “I never get in trouble, except on holidays.”  “Being strong means allowing yourself to hurt, and then healing from it.”  “The whole being a girl thing is what my dad is strict about.”    Mentioned:  “Sunshine After the Rain”    Check out Bunnie:  @xomgitsbunnie BunnieXo  @officialdumbblonde

MUSIC: MEETING AND CONVERSATION WITH CERRONE HOSTED BY DAVE HASLAM

DJ and writer Dave Haslam was a resident of the legendary Hacienda club in Manchester in the late 1980s and has since mixed worldwide. Also a journalist for "NME", "Inrocks" and "The Guardian", he interviewed artists and musicians such as David Byrne, Nile Rogers and Jarvis Cocker and has also written three books on music and culture. Cerrone whose early years, ranging from his first album in 1976 until his seventh, in the mid 1980s, are supported by exemplary creativity and vision with virtually no compromise. He does not hesitate to compose, against the advice of everyone, long tracks, pieces of pure disco trance, which are not made for radio at that time, but that work incredibly well, because they capture something of the hedonism of the moment - while exceeding also the story of the moment. For example, "Love In C Minor" and "Supernature" are now impassable classics, consistently ranked among the most important pieces of music, be it pop or disco or dance...
