Gratitude Week 1 Philippians 4:4-7 (NLT)“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:3-5 (NLT)“Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.” Philippians 1:17-18 (NLT)“Those others do not have pure motives as they preach about Christ. They preach with selfish ambition, not sincerely, intending to make my chains more painful to me. But that doesn't matter. Whether their motives are false or genuine, the message about Christ is being preached either way, so I rejoice. And I will continue to rejoice.” Philippians 2:17-18 (NLT)“But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy. Yes, you should rejoice, and I will share your joy.” Philippians 3:1 (NLT)“Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord.” Philippians 4:4 (NLT)“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!” Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)“Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Matthew 6:25-34 (NLT)“Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you, by worrying, add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?' or ‘What shall we drink?' or ‘What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Philippians 4:11-13 (NLT)“Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Need - Thanks That You are Jehovah Jireh - Provider Sickness - Thanks That You are Jehovah- Rophe - Healer Need Guidance - Thanks That You are Jehovah-Rohi - Shepherd Overwhelmed, Under Assault - Thanks That You are Jehovah-Sabaoth - Lord of Hosts VulnerablePsalm 18:1-3 (NLT)“I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;  my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise.” Philippians 4:7 (NLT)“Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:8 (NLT)“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

Isaiah 53:5  Healing… Matthew 18:19  Agree with God's Word… Mark 10:29-30  100 Fold Return… Acts 10:34  God is no respecter of persons “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” Hebrews 9:11-12 KJV “So Christ has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. He has entered that greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven, which was not made by human hands and is not part of this created world. With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever.” Hebrews 9:11-12 NLT “But [that appointed time came] when Christ (the Messiah) appeared as a High Priest of the better things that have come and are to come. [Then] through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with [human] hands, that is, not a part of this material creation, He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven], not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us).” Hebrews 9:11-12 AMPC “how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.” Hebrews 9:14-15 KJV “Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant.” Hebrews 9:14-15 NLT “How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God? [Christ, the Messiah] is therefore the Negotiator and Mediator of an [entirely] new agreement (testament, covenant), so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance–since a death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the [old] first agreement.” Hebrews 9:14-15 AMPC “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;” Hebrews 10:19-20 KJV “And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.” Hebrews 10:19-20 NLT “Therefore, brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the [Holy of] Holies [by the power and virtue] in the blood of Jesus, By this fresh (new) and living way which He initiated and dedicated and opened for us through the separating curtain (veil of the Holy of Holies), that is, through His flesh,” Hebrews 10:19-20 AMPC “but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7 KJV “But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7 NLT “But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].” 1 John 1:7 AMPC “by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:2 KJV “Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory.” Romans 5:2 NLT “Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. David Macdonald - June 22nd, 2025 - Hope for troubled hearts John 13:36-14:6 ; John 12:23-33 Control for troubled Hearts "Let not your hearts be troubled" - commandment from the Lord Jesus Christ Jesus never promised us life without trouble, He promised we could have an untroubled heart even in a troubled life. present – passive – imperative "Let not your heart continue to be agitated" (Wuest translation) Ταράσσω, tarassó: stirred up; agitated – roiling waters Also used: Pool – crippled man (John 5:4) Lord Jesus Christ - "Now My soul is troubled" (John 12:27) A command, our response: Whenever God gives a command, He gives the capability through the Spirit to keep the command Would never give you a command you can't keep If Jesus says, "Stop being troubled!" We can stop being troubled! "Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ," (2 Corinthians 10:5) "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind," (Romans 12:2) "Therefore gird up the loins of your mind," (1 Peter 1:13 (N)KJV) "So think clearly and exercise self-control." (1 Peter 1:13 NLT) “Therefore, preparing your minds for action” (1 Peter 1:13 ESV) Cure for troubled Hearts Jesus Christ doesn't just tell us to stop worrying; He gives us reasons why we should not be troubled Think of Who we know John 14:1 NLT "Don't be troubled. You trust God, now trust in me. "You believe in God, believe also in me": NKJV Think of Where You'll Go John 14:2-4 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. (4) And you know the way to where I am going. The Bible speaks of heaven 532 times Country; heavenly country: speaking of its vastness (See Hebrews 11:16) City: speaking of the innumerable people (See Hebrews 11:16; Hebrews 12:22) Kingdom: God is King, reigning over all Paradise: indescribable beauty Place of rest: end of toil, tribulation, temptation, Jesus calls it “My Father's house Revelation 21:10-17 (10) And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, (11) having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal… (15) And the one who spoke with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls. (16) The city lies foursquare; its length the same as its width. And he measured the city with his rod, 12,000 stadia (2300KM). Its length and width and height are equal. (17) He also measured its wall, 144 cubits (66M thick) by human measurement, which is also an angel's measurement. John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. A physical place – Dimensional - cube Huge Dwelling places A personal place … a place for you… Prepared for you A place of relationship My Father's house Home for us – forever! What make a home? Those who are in the home. A Promised Place I will come again and will take you to myself Certainty for troubled Hearts John 14:4-6 (Matthew 7:13-14) (Acts 4:12)

SPEAK PEACE OVER MY SITUATION.Philippians 4:6-7 (TLB) Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.9 Keep putting into practice all you learned from me and saw me doing, and the God of peace will be with you.

Reflecting on Peace, Joy, Hope, and Love

As we gathered for our last morning service of the year, we took a moment to reflect on the four powerful themes of Advent: Peace, Joy, Hope, and Love. These are not just words for the Christmas season but gifts we carry as followers of Jesus every day of the year. Our reflection was anchored in the beautiful and redemptive words of Romans 5:1-11 (NLT): “Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us...” This passage reminds us of the incredible work of Christ—bringing peace, joy, hope, and love into our lives through His life, death, and resurrection. Let's explore these themes as they appear in the text: Peace “We have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.” (Romans 5:1) Through faith in Jesus, we are brought into peace with God—a peace that surpasses all understanding and guards our hearts and minds as we live in Christ (Philippians 4:7). This peace is not just the absence of conflict but a deep assurance of God's presence and reconciliation in our lives. Have you experienced this peace? Where has God's peace met you this year? Joy “We confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory.” (Romans 5:2) Joy isn't just happiness; it's a supernatural strength that sustains us even in trials. As Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us, “The joy of the Lord is your strength!” This joy flows from our relationship with God and helps us rejoice, even in the face of challenges. What brings you joy? When have you felt the joy of the Lord sustaining you? Hope “…our confident hope of salvation.” (Romans 5:5) Hope anchors us, giving us strength to persevere. It's rooted in God's promises and the assurance of our salvation. This hope “will not lead to disappointment” because it is rooted in God's faithfulness. Take a moment to reflect on where you've seen hope in your life this year. How has God's hope sustained you? Love “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (Romans 5:8) God's love is at the heart of the Christmas story. As John 3:16 reminds us, “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son...” This love is vast, incomprehensible, and available to everyone. How have you experienced God's love this year? How can you reflect His love to others? These Themes are for Every Season Peace, joy, hope, and love aren't just for Christmas—they are woven throughout scripture and are gifts we can carry into every moment of our lives. As we close this year, let's ask ourselves: Where have I seen God's peace, joy, hope, and love in my life? How can I share these gifts with others as we step into a new year? We'd love to hear your stories of peace, joy, hope, and love. Whether it's a moment of quiet assurance, an unexpected blessing, or a testimony of God's faithfulness, your story can inspire and encourage others. Here's to carrying these gifts into 2025 and beyond.

Radical Discipleship: Prayer and Scripture

Today's episode is the first of a three-part series on Radical Discipleship, in which Stasi shares practices of grace that root us in the love of God. In Part One, Stasi invites us to align with God through prayer and marinating our hearts in the Scriptures. She explores Wild at Heart's Daily Prayer as an example of a guided prayer to start each day. Aligning with God through prayer is both a sacred privilege and a necessary honor. The beauty of it lies in the fact that it's a two-way conversation—God deeply desires to hear from us, and He also longs for us to hear from Him. As we quiet ourselves in His presence, we are able to receive more of Him and take hold of everything He has accomplished for us. Friends, these daily practices aren't about obligation; they're about rooting ourselves deeply in the Truth so that we are able to follow hard, stand strong, and partner with Him in bringing His Kingdom.…..SHOW NOTES:…..VERSES: Proverbs 3:5 (NLT) — Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.Psalm 91 — In its entiretyPsalm 23:1 (NLT) — The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.James 1:5 (NIV) —  If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV) — No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.1 John 2:1 (NLT) — My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.Psalm 19:7–11 (NIV) — The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. (8) The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.2 Corinthians 4:16–18 (NIV) — Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. (17) For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. All these things are gone forever.” And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” Philipians 1:6 (NIV) — …that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.…..RESOURCES:Wild at Heart App: https://wildatheart.org/appWild at Heart Prayers: https://wildatheart.org/prayDaily Prayer: https://wahe.art/4e1NSIgSt Patrick's Breastplate: https://wahe.art/3Xo4DrvMoving Mountains: Praying with Passion, Confidence, and Authority by John Eldredge  https://amzn.to/4dDPesS…..Don't Miss Out on the Next Episode – Subscribe for FreeSubscribe using your favorite podcast app:Spotify Podcasts – https://spoti.fi/42SsOipApple Podcasts – https://apple.co/42E0oZ1 Google Podcasts – http://wahe.art/3M81kxLAmazon Music & Audible – https://amzn.to/3M9u6hJ

I'm so glad you've joined me at the intersection of faith and true crime here at The Unlovely Truth. Does your church or ministry struggle with physical, emotional, or spiritual safety issues? I'm your host, church safety advocate Lori Morrison and I'm so glad you've joined me today. Our churches need to be the safest places in our communities, so our mission on this podcast is to find actionable steps to improve every aspect of safety in our houses of worship and beyond. We're going to do that by investigating The Unlovley Truth about real crime news stories that are happening in real churches. I've got new cases for us to investigate today, so let's dive right in.    Highlights from this episode include: Pastoral counseling crosses the line into spiritual abuse When the pastor is the victim A church that handled a tough situation right - mostly Ezekiel 34:7-10 NLT “Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, you abandoned my flock and left them to be attacked by every wild animal. And though you were my shepherds, you didn't search for my sheep when they were lost. You took care of yourselves and left the sheep to starve. Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I now consider these shepherds my enemies, and I will hold them responsible for what has happened to my flock. I will take away their right to feed the flock, and I will stop them from feeding themselves. I will rescue my flock from their mouths; the sheep will no longer be their prey.   Even if shepherds lose their sense of responsibility to their flock - God does not. It's bad enough when a neglectful pastor allows their congregation to be vulnerable to predators. It's worse when those pastors themselves are the ones harming those they are meant to serve. God is very upfront in his assessment of pastors like this. He calls them His enemies. If you see a pastor abusing anyone in any way, please, let god work through you by speaking up. I know that can be scary and if you'll reach out to me I will help you.    On the flip side, if we see one of our pastors suffering, we need to stand up for them as well. No of us should abandon anyone when we have a chance to help them stay safe.    Visit my website to access more episodes. The Way to Win | May 12, 2024 Pastor Wes Morris Mark 8:31-35 (GNT) Then Jesus began to teach his disciples: “The Son of Man must suffer much and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the teachers of the Law. He will be put to death, but three days later he will rise to life.” He made this very clear to them. So Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. But Jesus turned around, looked at his disciples, and rebuked Peter. “Get away from me, Satan,” he said. “Your thoughts don't come from God but from human nature!”Then Jesus called the crowd and his disciples to him. “If any of you want to come with me,” he told them, “you must forget yourself, carry your cross, and follow me. For if you want to save your own life, you will lose it; but if you lose your life for me and for the gospel, you will save it. ✓  Pleasing PeopleGalatians 1:10 (CEV) I am not trying to please people. I want to please God. Do you think I am trying to please people? If I were doing that, I would not be a servant of Christ. ✓  Pursuing PleasureProverbs 21:17 (MSG) You're addicted to thrills? What an empty life! The pursuit of pleasure is never satisfied.II Timothy 3:1-5 (ESV) But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. The Way to WinI. DIE TO SELF.Galatians 2:20 (NLT) My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.Romans 6:12-14 (GNT) Sin must no longer rule in your mortal bodies, so that you obey the desires of your natural self. Nor must you surrender any part of yourselves to sin... Instead, give yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life, and surrender your whole being to him to be used for righteous purposes. II. FULLY SURRENDER TO GOD.Matthew 6:33 (NLT) Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.Ephesians 6:13 (NLT) Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground...Mark 8:35 (GNT) “If any of you want to come with me,” he told them, “you must forget yourself, carry your cross, and follow me. For if you want to save your own life, you will lose it; but if you lose your life for me and for the gospel, you will save it."

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. Psalms 1:1-3 NLT   All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT   So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God's holy people. You are members of God's family. Ephesians 2:16 NLT   And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. Hebrews 10:19 NLT   THE QUESTION IS NOT “AM I GOING TO BE A PART OF A COMMUNITY OF FAITH?” BUT “HOW AM I GOING TO LIVE IN THIS COMMUNITY OF FAITH?”   And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:25 NLT   I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” Psalms 122:1   1. COMMUNAL WORSHIP IS A WORKABLE STRUCTURE FOR OUR LIFE.   And now here we are, standing inside your gates, O Jerusalem. Psalms 122:2 NLT   Jerusalem is a well-built city; its seamless walls cannot be breached. Psalms 122:3 NLT   Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits. Romans 12:16 AMPC   All the tribes of Israel—the Lord's people—make their pilgrimage here. Psalms 122:4 NLT   2. COMMUNAL WORSHIP NUTURES OUR NEED TO BE IN RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.   They come to give thanks to the name of the Lord, as the law requires of Israel. Psalms 122:4 NLT   But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. James 3:5 NLT   Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Philippians 4:4 NLT   "Feelings are important in many areas but completely unreliable in matters of faith" Eugene Peterson   3. COMMUNAL WORSHIP ALLOWS OUR ATTENTION TO BE CENTERED ON GOD'S DIRECTION.   Here stand the thrones where judgment is given, the thrones of the dynasty of David. Psalms 122:5 NLT   Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Philippians 2:1-2 NIV 4. COMMUNAL WORSHIP INFLUENCES OUR WEEK   Pray for peace in Jerusalem. Psalms 122:6 NLT   May all who love this city prosper. Psalms 122:6 NLT   O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces. For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “May you have peace.” For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem.  Psalms 122:7-9 NLT

Today we look at the story of Peter's betrayal of Jesus, a classic example of “mission drift” in the Bible. Jesus had called Peter to make disciples, but now his commitment was in question. Peter, as with the other disciples, is brimming with confidence that his faith will not fail. But then it does, in shocking fashion. So that's the famous story, but today we're putting the story in the context of a broader question: Have you ever experienced mission drift?--The PursueGOD Truth podcast is the “easy button” for making disciples – whether you're looking for resources to lead a family devotional, a small group at church, or a one-on-one mentoring relationship. Have you ever experienced mission drift?Examples in marriage, in the workforceMarriage vows: Chris, do you take Brandi to be your wedded wife, to live together in the holy estate of matrimony? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor her and keep her, and forsaking all others remain loyal to her as long as you both shall live? If so, say “I do”.Kodak: Founded in the late 19th century, Kodak was a pioneer in the photography industry with the mission of making photography accessible to the masses ("You press the button, we do the rest.") However, as digital photography began to emerge in the late 20th century, Kodak struggled to adapt and continued to prioritize its traditional film business. In 2012, Kodak filed for bankruptcy, a stark reminder of the consequences of mission drift and the failure to adapt to changing market dynamics. What it looks like in Christianity: (Go make disciples…)Matthew 28:19 (NLT) Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. So many churches just miss this. So many Christians never get it.Before we get to our text today in ch 14, we need to set the stage by going all the way back to chapter 1, when Jesus first called his disciples. Pay attention to where this all happens, because it's going to come up again in ch 14:Mark 1:16-18 (NLT) One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him.Talk about mission of Jesus, they left their nets, spent 3 years with JesusAmazing faith! What sacrifice!Their expectation - this is going to be good. We'll be famous! Rich!?Now let's get to our text today from Mark 14. Last week we covered the Last Supper, and Jesus' identification of the one who would betray him. Luke adds context in his account: Luke 22:24 (NLT) Then they began to argue among themselves about who would be the greatest among them. Can you imagine? Hilarious! In the Luke account Jesus goes on to define greatness: (NLT) Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant. So let's...

But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit.” Romans 7:5-6 NLT “When we were living in the flesh (mere physical lives), the sinful passions that were awakened and aroused up by [what] the Law [makes sin] were constantly operating in our natural powers (in our bodily organs, in the sensitive appetites and wills of the flesh), so that we bore fruit for death. But now we are discharged from the Law and have terminated all intercourse with it, having died to what once restrained and held us captive. November 26 2023 Sunday A Study In Romans Week 05 / T. Stacy Hayes #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word.  That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. This podcast is free to all that want to listen and grow strong in who God has made them to be in Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior. This In Him Scripture Study Started On June 21 2021 Go Back And Listen From The Beginning…  The Study In Romans Started on March 30 2022 Go Back And Listen To This Study From The Beginning… Isaiah 53:5  Healing… Matthew 18:19  Agree with God's Word… Mark 10:29-30  100 Fold Return… Acts 10:34  God is no respecter of persons… “For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.” Romans 4:13 KJV “Clearly, God's promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God's law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith.” Romans 4:13 NLT “For the promise to Abraham or his posterity, that he should inherit the world, did not come through [observing the commands of] the Law but through the righteousness of faith. [Gen. 17:4-6; 22:16-18.]” Romans 4:13 AMPC “For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:” Romans 4:14 KJV “If God's promise is only for those who obey the law, then faith is not necessary and the promise is pointless.” Romans 4:14 NLT “If it is the adherents of the Law who are to be the heirs, then faith is made futile and empty of all meaning and the promise [of God] is made void (is annulled and has no power).” Romans 4:14 AMPC “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,” Romans 4:16 KJV “So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham's. For Abraham is the father of all who believe.” Romans 4:16 NLT “Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of grace (unmerited favor), to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendants–not only to the devotees and adherents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all.” Romans 4:16 AMPC “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.” Romans 4:18 KJV “Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That's how many descendants you will have!”” Romans 4:18 NLT “[For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So [numberless] shall your descendants be. [Gen. 15:5.]” Romans 4:18 AMPC “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:” Romans 4:19 KJV “And Abraham's faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah's womb.” Romans 4:19 NLT “He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah's [deadened] womb. 2 Corinthians 5:14-17 (NKJV) For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;15, and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.16, Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Colossians 1:22 (NLT) Yet now He has reconciled you to Himself through the death of Christ in His physical body. As a result, He has brought you into His own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before Him without a single fault. Romans 5:1 (NLT) Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.

What am I doing?! – Purpose   “Why am I here”   Purpose   Do you feel like you are living in the purpose God designed you to live in?   1.     You're blatantly living in sin   “don't let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to god, for your were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of god.” Romans 6:12-13 NLT   2.     You lack joy and excitement   3.     You don't feel much fulfillment in life   4.     You feel stuck 5.     You have no direction   A life of purpose brings focus   “For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 NIV   We will find our purpose less in what we do and more in what we are willing to surrender Surrender leads to obedience and obedience fuels our purpose   “Its in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for…part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.” Ephesians 1:11 MSG   “Your will be done” Matthew 6:10   Who we are doesn't flow from what we do…what we do flows from who we are   “Jacob loved Joseph more than any of his other children because joseph had been born to him in his old age. So one day Jacob had a special gift made for Joseph – a beautiful robe.” Genesis 37:3 NLT   “When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.” Genesis 37:4 NIV   “…listen to this dream, he said, “we were out in the field, tying up bundles of grain. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before mine!” His brothers responded, “So you think you will be our king, do you? Do you actually think you will reign over us?” and they hated him all the more because of his dreams and the way he talked about them.” Genesis 37:6-8 NLT   “The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master. Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did. This pleased Potiphar, so he soon made joseph his personal attendant. He put him in charge of his entire household and everything he owned.” Genesis 39:2-4 NLT   “…now Joseph was well-built and handsome…” Genesis 39:6 NIV   “Come and sleep with me,” she demanded.” Genesis 39:7   “Look, he told her, “my master trusts me with everything in his entire household. No one here has more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.” Genesis 39:8-9 NLT   “she grabbed him by his cloak demanding, “come on sleep with me!” joseph tore himself away, but he left his cloak in her hand as he ran from the house. When she saw that she was holding his cloak and he had fled, she called out to her servants. Soon all the men came running. “Look!” she said “ my husband has brought this Hebrew slave here to make fools of us! He came into my room to rape me, but I screamed. When he heard me scream, he ran outside and got away, but he left his cloak behind with me.” Genesis 39:12-18 NLT   If you ever feel like “Nothing gold can stay” that's an indicator that you're living in YOUR will not HIS   “but the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the Lord made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden.” Genesis 39:21 NLT   “Before long, the warden put Joseph in charge of all the other prisoners and over everything that happened in the prison. The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed.” Genesis 39:22-23 NLT   God wants to use you in every situation you are in   “I had a dream last night, and no one here can tell me what it means. But I have heard that when you hear about a dream you can interpret it.”     “it is beyond my power to do this,” joseph replied. “but God can tell you what it means and set you at ease.” Genesis 41:15-16 NLT   “Therefore, pharaoh should find an intelligent and wise man and put him in charge of the entire land of Egypt. Then Pharaoh should appoint supervisors over the land and let them collect one fifth of the crops during the seven good years. Have them gather all the food produced in the good years that are just ahead and bring it to Pharaoh's storehouses. Store it away , and guard it so there will be food in the cities. That way there will be enough to eat when the seven years of famine come to the land of Egypt. Otherwise this famine will destroy the land.” Genesis 41:33-36 NLT Our purpose is not found in a thing that we do, but rather in the type of life that we live “He has saved us and called us to a holy life – not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time..” 2 Timothy 1:9 NIV   1.     What will be the most important thing in my life?   Whatever is at the center of your life…is your God   Is Christ TRULY at the center of your life? 2.     What will be the character of my life?   We take who we are into eternity…not what we did   The Fruits of the Spirit -        Love -        Joy -        Peace -        Patience -        Kindness -        Goodness -        Faithfulness -        Gentleness -        Self Control   3.     What will be the contributions of my life?   “…I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last…” John 15:16 NIV 4.     What will be the communication of my life?

Dannah and her husband, Bob, live on a hobby farm in central Pennsylvania. They have four adult children and four grandchildren. SCRIPTURES  But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Ephesians 5:3 NIV Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 NKJV “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:19-20 NKJV Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints. Ephesians 6:10-18 NASB All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NLT Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16 NIV Yes, you came when I called; you told me, “Do not fear.” Lord, you have come to my defense; you have redeemed my life. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.” Hebrews 1:3 NLT “He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God's] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high,” Hebrews 1:3 AMPC “for then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” Hebrews 9:26 KJV “If that had been necessary, Christ would have had to die again and again, ever since the world began. But now, once for all time, he has appeared at the end of the age to remove sin by his own death as a sacrifice.” Hebrews 9:26 NLT “For then would He often have had to suffer [over and over again] since the foundation of the world. But as it now is, He has once for all at the consummation and close of the ages appeared to put away and abolish sin by His sacrifice [of Himself].” Hebrews 9:26 AMPC “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” Hebrews 9:11-12 KJV “So Christ has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.” Hebrews 10:19-20 NLT “Therefore, brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the [Holy of] Holies [by the power and virtue] in the blood of Jesus, By this fresh (new) and living way which He initiated and dedicated and opened for us through the separating curtain (veil of the Holy of Holies), that is, through His flesh,” Hebrews 10:19-20 AMPC Romans 10:9-10  Salvation… Romans 10:17  Faith in God comes from hearing His Word… Matthew 11:28-30  Jesus'Yoke is Easy… John 3:16  God gave Jesus to pay for our Salvation… God Loves The abortion dr As Much As He Loves The Babies They Are Killing… Philippians 12:2  Work out your own Salvation… Romans 8:1  No condemnation in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior…  Luke Chapter 15 The Story Of The Prodigal Son… Philippians 4:19  God will supply all your needs let Him… Romans 4:20  Don't Stagger at What God Is Saying In His Word… John 15:5 We can't do anything aside from Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior… 2 Corinthians 5:17  We are new creatures in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior… 2 Corinthians 5:21  We are The Righteousness of God In Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior… Mark 10:29-30  100 Fold Return… Ephesians 2:8  We are Saved by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior… Believe God's Word Above All Opinions God Loves The abortion dr's As Much As He Loves The Babies They Are Killing… Mark 10:29-30  100 Fold Return… Share This Podcast On Your Social Media… Website https://the-prodigalson.com Email tstacyhayes@gmail.com  YouVersion Bible App https://my.bible.comi iOS App https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/prodigal-son/id1450529518?mt=8 …  Android App https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tv.wizzard.android.prodical  Social Media https://www.facebook.com/The-Prodigal-SON-209069136315959/ https://www.facebook.com/noreligion1511/ https://twitter.com/noreligion1511 https://www.instagram.com/noreligion1511/ https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCPx4s1CLkSYef6mp4dSuU4w/featured

Easter | April 9, 2023Luke 24:1-7 (NLT) But very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn't find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes. The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn't here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.”√  PAST MISTAKES√  THE PRESSURE OF LIFE√  DISAPPOINTMENTI Peter 1:18-19 (NLT) For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.WHERE IT ALL STARTEDI. THE CROSS REMINDS US THAT WE ARE FORGIVEN.Isaiah 53:6 (TLB) We—every one of us—have strayed away like sheep! We left God's path to follow our own. Yet God laid on him the guilt and sins of every one of us!II. THE EMPTY TOMB REMINDS US THAT DEATH IS DEFEATED.Revelation 21:4-5 (TLB) He will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. All of that has gone forever. And the one sitting on the throne said, “See, I am making all things new!”III. THE RESURRECTION REMINDS US THAT WE HAVE NEW LIFE.Hebrews 12:1-2 (NLT) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne.I Peter 1:3 (MSG) What a God we have! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven—and the future starts now! Ephesians 6:10-17 Series: Text Messages Title: Preparing for a Fight Date: 11/13/22   Ephesians 6:10 (NLT) A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.    1 Corinthians 16:13 (NLT) Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.     2 Timothy 2:1 (NLT) Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus.   Point number 1 in your notes: You are not prepared to fight or recognize the spiritual battle you are fighting.   Ephesians 6:11 (NLT) Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.    1 Peter 5:8 (NLT) Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.   Ephesians 4:14 (NLT) Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won't be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.   Point number 2 in your notes: Satan uses weapons in this battle: confusion, lies, pride, selfishness, secrets, chaos, addiction, and more.     Ephesians 6:12 (NLT) For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.     2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (NLT) 3 We are human, but we don't wage war as humans do. 4 We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.      Ephesians 6:13 (NLT) Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.    Ephesians 6:14 (ESV) Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,     Isaiah 11:5 (NLT) He will wear righteousness like a belt and truth like an undergarment.     Point number 3 in your notes: All of your spiritual armor is based upon Truth. If you are wishy-washy about truth, you're dead in the water.     John 17:17 (NLT) Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.     Psalm 119:160 (NKJV) The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.     Ephesians 6:15 (NLT) For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.   Isaiah 52:7 (NLT) How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns.     Ephesians 6:16 (NLT) In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.   Hebrews 11:1 (NLT) Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.     Ephesians 6:17 (NLT) Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.     Isaiah 59:17 (NLT) He put on righteousness as his body armor and placed the helmet of salvation on his head.     Point number 4 in your notes: If we don't armor up and stand and fight against this enemy, people will die.     Romans 8:37-39 (NLT) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

(English) In this message Ps Richard talks about how we can be an Influencer in these 5 points: (Acts 2:1 NLT) On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. (Acts 2:2-3 NLT) Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. (3) Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. (Acts 1:4-5 NLT) Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. (5) John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 1:8 NLT) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” 1.You already are an influencer (whether you want to be or not!) 2.How will I influence my world? (Matthew 28:19 NLT) Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:4 NLT) And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. (Acts 2:5-6 NLT) At that time there were devout Jews from every nation living in Jerusalem. (6) When they heard the loud noise, everyone came running, and they were bewildered to hear their own languages being spoken by the believers. (Acts 2:37 NIV) When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 3.Be Genuine in Your Faith 4.Pray and Ask the Holy Spirit to Help 5.Invite, invite, invite!

Beloved, are you in need of a divine turnaround? Do you feel like the enemy has been plotting against you? Or has God been SO good to you that you want to praise Him and celebrate the victories you've had? If you've answered yes to any of these questions, this message will encourage and empower you! In this hopeful episode, Mistie shares from the story of Esther and compares two very different people—Mordecai (the Jew) to Haman (the Agagite). These men's stories had contrasting ends—one was lifted up, the other brought down low. What was the contributing factor? How can we learn from this story? What difference does it make today? You and I were created for such a time as this! The stories we read in Scripture from way back then, parallel with our narratives here and now. God wants His Esther's to Emerge today and for His people to be crowned in Humility and Victory for all eternity! “For the LORD delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.” {Psalms 149:4 NLT} Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, {1 Peter 5:6} Mistie's Webstie: mistiehouseauthor.com Mistie's Books: EMERGENCE and THE FATHER'S PRINCESS Follow Mistie on Instagram: @MistieHouse Season 2: Episode 6

Problem fixation: the inability to look beyond the circumstances to think __________________ about a situation. [1 Kings 17-19] Even the Godliest can get __________________. He is not always heard in the loudness, or in a mighty show of power, but is mostly in __________________ _________ __________________ when it seems like he's not doing anything. [1 Peter 5:7 NLT] Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Give your problems over to God and __________________ that he will act. [Romans 5:1-5 NLT] Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory. 3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. [Romans 8:28 ESV] And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. “Who would have believed what we heard? Who saw the Lord's power in this? He grew up like a small plant before the Lord, like a root growing in a dry land. He had no special beauty or form to make us notice him; there was nothing in his appearance to make us desire him. He was hated and rejected by people. He had much pain and suffering. People would not even look at him. He was hated, and we didn't even notice him. But he took our suffering on him and felt our pain for us. We saw his suffering and thought God was punishing him. But he was wounded for the wrong we did; he was crushed for the evil we did. The punishment, which made us well, was given to him, and we are healed because of his wounds.” -Isaiah‬ ‭53:1-5‬ ‭NCV‬‬   “While Zechariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar. Zechariah was shaken and overwhelmed with fear when he saw him. But the angel said, “Don't be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John. You will have great joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he will be great in the eyes of the Lord…” -Luke‬ ‭1:11-15‬ ‭NLT   Because God's children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.” -Hebrews‬ ‭2:14-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬   “Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.” -Hebrews‬ ‭2:17-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬   “This is my command: Love each other as I have loved you. The greatest love a person can show is to die for his friends.” ‭‭-John‬ ‭15:12-13 ‭NCV‬‬

W. Tozer. You become what you worship. Pick One: Conformed or Transformed Worship = Remembering Scripture: “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.” Matthew 15:8-9 (NLT) “But the time is coming—indeed it's here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24 (NLT) “As you enter the house of God, keep your ears open and your mouth shut. It is evil to make mindless offerings to God. Don't make rash promises, and don't be hasty in bringing matters before God. After all, God is in heaven, and you are here on earth. So let your words be few.” Ecclesiastes 5:1-2 (NLT) “Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. And don't forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.” Hebrews 13:15-16 (NLT) “And don't forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.” Hebrews 13:16 (NLT) “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Sermon Notes - December 27All is Bright: Unplanned Journey - Marty To trust is to rely on, depend on and put our confidence in someone or something in order to gain a sense of safety, security, peace and hope. Psalm 62:8Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Romans 5:1-5 (NLT)Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Rely on Jesus more than ever. Bloom where you are planted. A Patient Endurance: Have a longer fuse! Christ-like Character: Experience the fruit of the Spirit in our life every day. A hope that doesn't disappoint: Something to look forward to. Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. Psalm 62:8 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.
