La Porta | Renungan Harian Katolik - Daily Meditation according to Catholic Church liturgy
Delivered by Jonathan Axel, Jovinson Tansil, Gregory Octaviano, dan Kezia Nikita from the Parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral in the Archdiocese of Makassar, Indonesia. Acts of the Apostles 15: 1-2.22-29; Rs psalm 67: 2-3.5.6.8; Revelation 21: 10-14.22-23; John 14: 23-29.THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO IS CATHOLIC The title for our meditation on this 6thSunday of Easter is: The Holy Spirit Who is Catholic. We need to clarify theterm or name "Catholic" that we use here. The term"Catholic" here is not to put in comparation between theRoman-Catholic with the Pope as its head and other Christian denominations inthe Reformation movement. The term "Catholic" here refers to allChristians and believers who believe in Jesus Christ, the only Savior of theworld. If Christ is the principal reason forall of us to become "Catholics", then logically speaking, the HolySpirit is also Catholic, because Jesus Himself sends His Spirit to us. The eraof this world after Jesus Christ ascended into heaven is called the Age of theHoly Spirit. The work of the Holy Spirit is the continuation of the work ofJesus Christ, whose main task is to renew the whole face of the earth and makeevery creation belong to God. The question is: how can we understandthat the Holy Spirit makes everything belong to God, and that is why He istruly Catholic? To answer this question, we need to depart from the Gospelreading of today, which says that the Holy Spirit sent by Jesus has a role toremind us of everything Jesus has taught and said. The role to teach everythingis an essential element of universality, namely the Catholic. The Holy Spiritworks totally and reaches a complete result. The fullness of our lives becomesthe fruit of the work of the Holy Spirit. The early Church in Jerusalem and anumber of cities around it realized that under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Church truly became Catholic. The universal character of the Church as theword “Catholic” refers to, became the very important message of the Council ofJerusalem, with the mandate that all nations regardless of culture andbackgrounds can become disciples of the Lord and enter into the Church.Catholicism includes all people from all cultures, tribes, languages, races, religions, places and regions. In a short time, thanks to the hard work of Pauland Barnabas and a number of elected Church leaders, the face of the CatholicChurch became evident in the world and in the hearts of all people. As the Spirit of the Divine or God'sown Spirit, the role of the Holy Spirit is to sanctify this world and all thatdwell in it. The Apostle John's vision in the Book of Revelation shows that thefullness of God's grace, or holiness for all, is like a holy city, Jerusalem, came down from heaven and established on this earth. We are Catholics, so weneed to always be in the light of the Holy Spirit and always radiate thatlight.Let's pray. In the name of theFather ... O Lord Jesus Christ, may Your Spirit always be the light and powerto renew the whole face of the earth, and make it a holy city for all. OurFather who art in heaven ... In the name of the Father ...
Holy Spirit - Who is the Holy Spirit? - Sam Barnes
Daily Voice Devotional with Niyi AdekunleThursday 27th MarchYou Have It, Use It. 4As believers in Christ, we must recognize and use the gifts God has given us. Through the finished work of Jesus on the cross, we have received His Spirit, His Word, His Name, and His Blood—each carrying divine power. And we grow in our understanding of these things as we stay in fellowship with the Holy Spirit Who is the custodian of all God's blessings. The Holy Spirit is not just holding these things in custody for nothing, they are in His custody for our sake and we bring honour and glory to Him as we use these things as we bring joy to our world. Another significant gift God has given us through Jesus Christ is His Blood. The blood of Jesus was poured out on the cross for our salvation. This blood not only paid the price for our sins, gave us eternal life but it also established us in the new covenant—a binding relationship with God. This blood covenant frees us from the hold of the devil to walk in the liberty of Christ.Zech. 9:11 MKJV You also, by the blood of Your covenant I have freed Your prisoners out of the pit in which is no waterThe blood delivers us from spiritual, physical, mental or any kind of satanic bondage. Unlike the sacrifices of animals, Jesus' blood is once and for all and is everlasting. Luk 22:20 MKJV In the same way He took the cup, after having dined, saying, This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is being poured out for you. His blood is the foundation of the new covenant. This covenant is an ongoing relationship that grants us access to God's blessings. Each time we partake in Communion, we reaffirm our covenant with God. By pleading the blood, we activate its power in our lives—bringing protection, deliverance, and provision. Believe in it, use it and walk in the victory it provides.God bless you, enjoy your day
Return of the Man-Child (3) (audio) David Eells – 3/19/25 Taking up where we left off, we read, And thou Bethlehem, land of Judah, Art in no wise least among the princes of Judah: For out of thee shall come forth a governor, Who shall be shepherd of my people Israel (Mat.2:6). We know that Jesus is always going to be the Shepherd; He's always going to be the King David over Israel. God is never going to change that, but there are some things that He might change, as we'll see. Previously, we learned that the Lord said, A body didst thou prepare for me (Heb.10:5). The Lord, Son of God, came in a body that was prepared for Him through Mary, a body of the Son of Man. We know that God's plan was for Jesus to leave an individual body and return in a corporate body so that He could minister all over the world. Today we are going to see the first-fruits of those who have fully entered into this by the grace of God. In other words, the first-fruits will be a body like the body of His temple that He spoke about when He said, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up (Joh.2:19). (21) But he spake of the temple of his body. And we've discovered that's referring to His corporate body. We know that the Lord comes in every one of us. For instance, He says, Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate (2Co.13:5). (Col.1:27) … Christ in you, the hope of glory. Jesus Christ is in you! All through the Old Testament, Jesus was coming in vessels of honor through whom He ministered. For example, it says this: (1Pe.1:10) Concerning which salvation the prophets sought and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that [should come] unto you: (11) searching what [time] or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did point unto, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow them. The Spirit of Christ was in great men of the Old Testament and that's what made them great men. He is the Shepherd; He is the Ruler; He is the King David and always will be, but He's going to repeat history because That which hath been is that which shall be (Ecc.1:9). I'm reminded of a very famous text that speaks of Who Jesus is: (Isa.9:6) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father (or “Father of eternity,” literally), Prince of Peace. (7) Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. God called Jesus to repeat history Himself. He was a King David in His day, Who was given, once again, the reins of government, which is in total agreement with what the Bible says about Him. (Luk.1:31) And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. (32) He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: (33) and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. So He would receive the throne of David forever, just as the Bible speaks about when it states, David shall never want (“lack”) a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel (Jer.33:17). For example, the Bible says this: (Jer.33:14) Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah. (15) In those days, and at that time, will I cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David (now, this was a long time after David); and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. (16) In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is [the name] whereby she shall be called … That's a very strange text, but if nobody had changed what word was actually there in the Hebrew, that's what they would have had to translate; the word is “she.” It's strange because in Chapter 23 the word is “he,” but here it is “she.” Some people think, “Well, he made a mistake and they replaced it with ‘he.'” They didn't translate what was really there. The word, “she” is used quite often in the Bible when referring to a corporate body of people and that's what this is. This is a corporate body, which God calls the “branch,” that is raised up as the seed of David. We know that Jesus Christ is our David on His throne all the way up through eternity, but as we saw earlier, the Spirit of Christ comes into many men and we have seen many from the beginning of Scripture to the end who are types of the Man-child. The Spirit of Christ comes into them and uses them, like a body of the son of David. (Jer.33:16) In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is [the name] whereby she shall be called: the Lord our righteousness. Notice that this is a corporate body of people, “our righteousness.” (Jer.33:17) For thus saith the Lord: David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel. Now we know that Jesus the Son of God has been given the authority of David's throne for eternity, but the question is, what is the “man” that He abides in who does this work? This is what the branch is; it's a corporate body of men in whom the Spirit of Christ rules and reigns. (Jer.33:18) Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt-offerings, and to burn meal-offerings, and to do sacrifice continually. (19) And the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah, saying, (20) Thus saith the Lord: If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season; (21) then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers. In other words, this is from the time of David up until the time of Christ and until our time; so it appears that He never broke His covenant with David. There was always a David upon the throne. Isn't that amazing? I would suspect that you could not recognize this corporate body according to the flesh. (Luk.17:20) … The kingdom of God cometh not with observation. We're talking about a spiritual Israel, a spiritual Jerusalem, and a spiritual David. Many people recognize, that Jesus was the Son of David and that He was born of the seed of David according to the flesh (Rom.1:3), but He was declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit (4). What body could the Lord be choosing in our day to fulfill this covenant of a man in whom Jesus Christ lives to occupy the throne? Well, it's the body of the Man-child (Revelation 12:5), which we've spoken of. (Jer.33:22) As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me. I am sure you could look at that in a certain way, meaning multiplied throughout history, but I suspect it also means (and the Lord likes to hide things like that) that in these days there will be a great number of Davids and that this, “the Lord our righteousness,” is a very large group of people. (Jer.33:25) Thus saith the Lord: If my covenant of day and night [stand] not (Is it still in effect? I would say so.), if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; (26) then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (The seed of David is to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.): for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them. In these days, we know that even with the natural seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, a remnant of them is once again going to turn to the Lord God of Israel. We read in the last study that in Revelation 12, the son of David, this Man-child is caught up to the throne of God. And here we see the Bible says, Blessed be the Lord thy God, who delighted in thee, to set thee on his throne, to be king for the Lord thy God (2Ch.9:8). Many people see the Man-child caught up to the throne of God in heaven, but the Lord God is calling David's throne on Earth His throne. This is the throne of God. In fact, it says here, At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord (Jer.3:17). Jeremiah is talking about the New Jerusalem on Earth. There is still a throne of David. Not in natural Israel, but you can find it in spiritual Israel because we know that Jesus Christ is the Son of David, the eternal Lord of His Kingdom. And He's also coming in a body, A body didst thou prepare for me (Heb.10:5). You may say, “That was referring to the body of the individual Jesus.” That's true, but everything repeats and it always repeats on a larger scale. We have the Word of God for that, which cannot be broken (Joh.10:35). So we have to believe that it will be the same thing once again. The Lord told me many years ago, “Everything that has happened in the Gospels and in the Book of Acts will happen again, except the cast of characters will be multiplied many times over.” The Lord thy God, who delighted in thee, to set thee on his throne, to be king for the Lord thy God (2Ch.9:8) is true of Jesus. It's true of the body of Jesus and we've already spoken of the manifestation of the body of Christ, that we all claim to be by faith, and rightly so. But we've discovered that there is also a manifestation of the body of Christ, that is, those in whom Christ lives. If Christ lives in you, then you manifestly are the body of Christ. We've taught that we grow into this wonderful position 30-, 60- and 100-fold, according to Jesus Himself, so God is fulfilling it in that way. Let me share something else with you. Remember that the Lord told me that the Gospels were a type of the first 3½ years of the Tribulation period and the Book of Acts was a type of the second 3½ years. Now we know that other types of the end-time Man-child show different similarities. For instance, Joseph brought God's people through the seven years of famine, which is a type of the seven-year Tribulation. We also know that Moses took God's people geographically halfway through the wilderness and we know that Revelation chapters 12 and 17 speak of the first and second 3½ years, respectively, and call the “wilderness” the “Tribulation.” Moses went halfway through the wilderness and then was glorified. When I say halfway, I'm not talking about time-wise, but in geographical distance. Some people, myself included, believe that the Lord brought His people across what we now call the Gulf of Suez, high up near where Succoth was, where the Gulf narrowed down quite a bit. Then He carried them across the Sinai Peninsula, where they crossed the Gulf of Aqaba, which they called the “Red Sea.” Apostle Paul said, Mount Sinai in Arabia (Gal.4:25), not in Sinai. Arabia is east of the Gulf of Aqaba. I had heard years ago that the explorer Ron Wyatt had come across the pillar that the Israelites had erected to identify the place where the children of Israel crossed the Red Sea and it was on the eastern shore of Aqaba. They also discovered out there the mountain that Exodus 19 speaks of being burnt and charred on the top because God's presence came down on it, which was Mt. Sinai, and found it as a place called Jabal al-Lawz, which means “the Mount of the Law.” That's interesting because that's where Moses received the Law. If you look, which I have, on several maps, you can see where the Israelites left Egypt and crossed the Gulf of Suez. And if you follow that on down to Jabal al-Lawz and then follow that point and return back up to where they crossed into the Promised Land, you find that it is like an isosceles triangle (where the two legs are approximately even). I thought the Lord was pointing out to me at that time that Moses went halfway through the wilderness (meaning 3½ years) and at that point he was glorified. Like Moses, Jesus went 3½ years through His ministry before He was glorified. I believe that Mount Sinai is Jabal al-Lawz in Arabia. Many signs seem to confirm that, even though the Saudi Arabians have fenced the mount off. They do not want Christians going in there. By the way, at the foot of Jabal al-Lawz is the altar where the golden calf was set. Of course, the golden calf isn't there anymore, but the altar is. There are quite a few other artifacts there, including several hieroglyphics depicting the golden calf scratched into the rocks in the area of the altar. These finds make it very plain that this is the correct spot and I believe Ron Wyatt even took pictures of chariot wheels submerged in the Gulf of Aqaba, which further makes the case that it was the real Red Sea, not the Gulf of Suez. It would have taken the Israelites three months to travel from Egypt to Jabal al-Lawz. It took them a lot longer to get to the Promised Land because they were disobedient by worshipping the golden calf, but it was geographically halfway. I believe the Lord was showing me the two 3½-year periods of the wilderness Tribulation. At any rate, we have a pretty good confirmation right here: (Exo.34:29) And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of the testimony in Moses' hand … The two tables of the Testimony are the same thing as the Tables of Witness, the Two Witnesses. The Man-child is going to give to God's people the Two Witnesses, upon whose heart the Word of God is written, not upon tables of stone. There's a fulfillment here of that. (Exo.34:29) And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of the testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses knew not that the skin of his face shone by reason of his speaking with him. In other words, Moses had come face-to-face with God. We know that we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory (2Co.3:18). This is the type and the shadow here of God's people, at least the first-fruits, coming into the Image of God. It even says, The first of the first-fruits of thy ground thou shalt bring unto the house of the Lord thy God (Exo.34:26). There is a type of the first-fruits here and it is Moses. It would have been Jesus in His time, but here it's Moses. So after Moses came face-to-face with God, Moses manifested His glory. I believe what's being said here is that this is a glorified soul, not a glorified body. The Man-child goes through three stages of perfection. I believe that when Jesus started His ministry, He was perfected in Spirit by the Holy Spirit because He was anointed with the Holy Spirit. And when He was crucified, that's a parable about our being crucified, too, in a crucifixion of self 3½ years into the Tribulation. When a parable is first shown (and the Bible does say that Jesus was a sign (Isaiah 7:14), or in Hebrew, an uwth of something to come), it's literal, and the next time it's spiritual. So we see that the first-fruits, who are only spiritually the Man-child and not physically, as Jesus was, are the spiritual fulfillment of this parable. In the midst of the Tribulation period, the Man-child is going to be glorified in soul because “self” has been crucified. At the end of the Tribulation period, he will be glorified in body. The progression is first spirit, then soul in the middle, and then body. These are the three stages of perfection that God is bringing Himself to in His people. In fact, When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all them that believed (because our testimony unto you was believed) in that day (2Th.1:10). And also, But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth (2Th.2:13). Let's continue in Exodus. (Exo.34:30) And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. (31) And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses spake to them. They must have run on down the road because they had to turn around and return to him. (Exo.34:32) And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the Lord had spoken with him in mount Sinai. (33) And when Moses had done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. (34) But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he took the veil off (because he wanted to see the Lord clearly, face-to-face), until he came out; and he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded. So, Moses was in communication with God face-to-face, but with the children of Israel behind a veil. This will also be so with the ministry of the Man-child. Jesus said, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner (Joh.5:19). Jesus was in close fellowship with the Father; He walked in the Spirit; He saw the Father and He saw the people. Yet Jesus walked also behind a veil, as the Scripture clearly shows us, and we'll see that shortly. (Exo.34:35) And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone; and Moses put the veil upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him. We're told the same thing about the first-fruits. (Heb.10:19) Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, (20) by the way which He dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh. So we enter into the presence of God through the veil, which is to say, through His flesh. Jesus' flesh was a veil. The people did not see the real Jesus. They didn't see the glorified man underneath that veil of flesh; they saw the veil. However, when the Lord went into the presence of God, He was in Spirit where there was no veil, speaking with the Father. This is the same thing we see here with Moses. Moses was a type of Jesus and a type of the Man-child. We're getting a description here of the kind of ministry that the Man-child is going to have and it's just like Jesus' ministry. Seeing God face-to-face makes us capable of manifesting God before His people. (2Co.3:18) But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit. From behind that body of flesh, called a veil, there was a glorified soul, ready to walk through the other half of the wilderness. Now we know that Moses went all the way through the wilderness, but that's only part of the picture. If we look at other different types of the Man-child, they'll show other parts of the whole picture. For example, we can also see Jesus in Acts where it says, And when they were come over against Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia; and the Spirit of Jesus suffered them not (Act.16:7). So Jesus was a type of the second 3½ years of the Man-child during the Tribulation. We know that because the second part of the Tribulation started at the end of Jesus' ministry when He was crucified and it ended with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, which was the destruction of the Harlot by the Beast. We see that the second 3½ years starts at the end of the first 3½ years and extends to the point of destruction of the Harlot by the Beast. The Book of Acts represents the 40 years between Jesus' ministry and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Forty is the number of tribulation. We're seeing here a perfect parallel between Moses and Jesus. Some have thought that Jesus did not have a ministry after His 3½ years, but He did have a ministry of guiding His people for 3½ years, just like Moses went the other half of the distance through the wilderness to the Promised Land. Moses brought the people all the way and, in type, Jesus did that, too. His glorification in the second 3½ years represents what Moses was when “his face shone.” What we're really referring to in the end times is a glorified soul underneath a body, with the body being the veil that permitted men to look upon that which is glorified and have fellowship without being frightened. We would call it bearing fruit “100-fold.” When the Lord sows the seed of the Word in our hearts, it's to bring forth Himself in us, 30-, 60- and 100-fold (Matthew 13). That's not referring to the body; that's referring to the fruit of Christ in the soul, or in the heart, and that is what we are here for. What makes the first-fruits the first-fruits, is that they have come into this glorified soul and they have come into the crucifixion of self, which is the type that Jesus showed us. If we look at the timing of Exodus 34, we find that it falls in the middle of the Tribulation period. How do we know that? Well, for instance, in Chapter 32, we see what happened there was, they made the image of the beast and worshipped it. That's a pretty clear sign of being the middle of the Tribulation period. What came along with worshiping the image of the Beast, according to Revelation 14, was the mark of the Beast. So we see them there in Chapter 32 bowing down to this image of the beast and we see God's rebuke of them, and we see the Tables of the Testimony were cast down and broken. (Exo.32:19) And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount. We know the two Tables of the Testimony represent the Two Witnesses corporate body because “witness” and “testimony” are the same word. So Moses the Man-child, as a type of Jesus Christ, brings the two witnesses with the Word of God written upon their heart to the people of God, which is what Jesus did with His disciples when He sent them out two-by-two. They were a corporate body of two witnesses to go to God's people and bring the Law, that was written upon their hearts, to them. It's an exact type and shadow of what we see here. However, it says here, he saw the calf and the dancing (in other words, the people were worshiping the image of the beast): and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount (Exo.32:19). So not only did Jesus bring the Two Witnesses, but the people in their sins “broke” them. I believe that the Apostle John was the only one who died a natural death of old age. The rest of the apostles were all killed. The apostates “broke” their Two Witnesses. We see what God says about this situation a few verses later: (Exo.32:26) Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Whoso is on the Lord's side, [let him come] unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. These are the only people who did not worship the image of the beast from among the camp of God's people. We're told that God has chosen us to be a kingdom of priests. (Exo.19:5) Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be mine own possession from among all peoples: for all the earth is mine: (6) and ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation … In other words, all of God's people were called to be priests because we all offer sacrifices unto God and we especially offer up this body as a living sacrifice unto the Lord. On the altar of the fiery trial, the old flesh is burned up, which is what our sacrificial life is supposed to be. The people who did sacrifice, the Levites, did not join in with the rest in worshiping the image of the beast. The true Levites, the tribe that followed God, were God's inheritance. It was the firstborn from among all of Israel who were His inheritance and then God changed that to be the Levites. Those priests were His inheritance, He said, and God was their inheritance. Those Levites were the ones who were on the Lord's side. (Exo.32:27) And he said unto them, Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, Put ye every man his sword upon his thigh, and go to and fro from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor. Well, as you know, those who worship the image of the Beast are slain because they no longer belong to the body of Christ; they belong to the Beast. The mark of the Beast is the sign of his ownership and those on whom have the mark, belong to him. They are dead; they're no longer living. The Levites will have the authority to bring great judgment on the earth and, again, we're talking about the middle of the Tribulation period because we're referring to the mark and image of the Beast being manifested. This was the time that Moses was glorified; this was the time when the Two Witnesses were beginning to be killed. (Rev.11:8) And their dead bodies [lie] in the street of the great city (that's Babylon, not Jerusalem), which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. (9) And from among the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations do [men] look upon their dead bodies three days and a half, and suffer not their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. “Three days and a half” is half of the seven “days” of the 70th week of Daniel 9, which makes it 3½ years that the Two Witnesses will be killed. From the time of the middle of the Tribulation to the end of the Tribulation, they are being killed. When they finish their testimony, this great group of witnesses (prophets) will be allowed by God to be killed and they're resurrected in the last trump of Revelation 11:15. But in response it is Moses, it is the Manchild, who sends the Levites forth to slay the members of the body of the Beast. (Exo.32:28) And the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men. (29) And Moses said, Consecrate yourselves today to the Lord, yea, every man against his son, and against his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day. (30) And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the Lord; peradventure I shall make atonement for your sin. (31) And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. (32) Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin—; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. Moses wanted to take the place of the people, which is also what Jesus did, but how many of you know that Jesus' sacrifice will not apply to everybody in the end? (Heb.10:26) For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins, (27) but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries. People who live a life of willful sin and indulgence in the world will die. As the Bible says, If ye live after the flesh, ye must die (Rom.8:13). Walking after the flesh is to take the mark of the Beast because the mind of the flesh and the works of the flesh is to take the mark. Those people who are walking in sin willfully and do so up until death will have no sacrifice. (Exo.32:33) And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. In other words, God would not take the sacrifice of Moses for those people who worshipped the image of the Beast and took the mark. In fact, in Revelation 14:9-11, He says that there is no sacrifice for them. This is a way of separating those people who are Christian in name only from those who are Levites, the kingdom of priests that God said would come. “Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.” That sounds like reprobation to me. (Exo.32:34) And now go, lead the people unto [the place] of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine angel shall go before thee; nevertheless in the day when I visit, I will visit their sin upon them. (35) And the Lord smote the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made. This is clearly referring to the time of the middle of the Tribulation period, when Moses in type as the Man-child is glorified, at least in soul underneath that body of flesh, in order to carry them all the way to the Promised Land, which in one parable we would call the “Kingdom of Heaven.” At the end of the seven years, that's exactly where God's people go. Just like Noah, they'll be in the Ark; it lifts off and they're in the Kingdom of Heaven. I think it would make a very good study to do an Internet search for “Jabal al-Lawz” and learn about some of the things that have been discovered about this particular mountain. Again, it's not located in the middle of the wilderness by time; it's only the middle of the wilderness by geography, by distance. But that's where the altar of the golden calf was and that's where the fire burned the top of the mountain and where Moses was given the Law to give to the people. It's very interesting. Actually, the first time Moses was on the mountain was way back in Exodus 19 and this is the second time he's on the mountain because this had to fulfill the type. So we have Joseph going, as a type of the Man-child, seven years, and we have Moses, as a type of the Man-child, going through the first and the second half of the Tribulation, which were both called “the wilderness.” Now we have Jesus also going through the two halves, in the Gospels and the Book of Acts, as well. As we said earlier, the Spirit of Jesus was surely in those disciples. Jesus said, It is the spirit that giveth life; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I have spoken unto you are spirit, and are life (Joh.6:63). His words went into those disciples and recreated Himself in them. The spirit in them was the Spirit of Christ. He had taken on a new body, but it was still the Spirit of Christ. When the first-fruits show up, I believe very shortly, in our day, this is what we're going to find. They are the body of the Son of David which sits upon God's throne. It's not a throne somewhere up there in the sky, but it's the throne here on the earth that spiritually is the leadership of God's people. The throne is the place of leadership. I had quoted Jeremiah earlier, but only a part of it. It says, At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it (So you know it's not natural Jerusalem because the Gentiles are coming to it.), to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart (Jer.3:17). This is the end time, obviously, because this has not been true at any time in history. It has to be the “latter days” because, truly, when these people come to the throne, God has perfected them, matured them, and made them ready for the Kingdom of Heaven. (Jer.3:18) In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north (which was captivity) to the land that I gave for an inheritance unto your fathers. Our early church fathers were given all of the land for an inheritance, but for 2000 years we have not entered into it. It was the same with Israel. In the beginning, God gave them the whole land, which represented the Land of Promise, but I don't think they ever set foot on any more than about a third of it and actually take possession of it. Well, in these last days, we are going to take possession of all of the land that was given to our fathers; we're going to take possession of all of the Land of Promise, representing all of the promises of God that we're going to walk in. We are going to enter into the land of rest. (Heb.4:3) For we who have believed do enter into that rest … We're actually going to keep the real Sabbath, not the shadow, and it is to walk in all of the Land of Promise that the Lord gave unto us. Once again, God's people will be walking as the early disciples walked. They'll be walking in the power of God, in the anointing of God and in the knowledge of the truth, only this time it will be the latter rain. When he began to walk with God, Moses was the one who had the former rain (or the latter rain, in type) because God took of the anointing that was upon Moses and put it upon the 70 elders. If you remember, that's the same thing that happened to Jesus. Jesus was the One Who came with the former rain and He was the only One Who had it, but the people whom He raised up as disciples were later given this anointing. When Jesus first sent His disciples out during the first 3½ years, they didn't have that anointing. What they had was authority given by the Lord. He said, “You go and do this,” and they went out and healed the sick and cast out devils and raised the dead (Matthew 10). Jesus was their authority. But then He said that God was also going to send “another Comforter” (John 14:16) and we know that was the Holy Spirit Who came in the middle of the Tribulation, on Pentecost, in the middle of the seven years and at the end of the 3½ years of Jesus' ministry. The disciples received the former rain and went out with that anointing to do the works of Jesus. Jesus said the Spirit of God shall take of mine, and shall declare [it] unto you (Joh.16:14). One of the jobs of the Holy Spirit is to recreate in us, through the anointing (because “Christ” means “anointed”), the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. It is impossible to do that without the anointing, which breaks the yoke (Isaiah 10:27). It is Not by might, nor by power (meaning man's might and power), but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts (Zec.4:6). The Lord is about to make this possible. The anointing that was upon Moses, the Lord later took and put upon those 70 elders. Jesus also had 70 whom He sent out and the anointing came upon them. I especially like what it says a little further down in the text. (Jer.3:19) But I said, How I will put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of the nations! and I said, Ye shall call me My Father, and shall not turn away from following me. He had already said, “Neither shall they walk any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart.” Wow! This is awesome! I dare say, that most of the people of God do not know Him as Father. They know Him as “God,” a very distant name. But know Him as Father? This is the relationship the Lord is going to establish by bringing us into the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19). Jesus was the Son of God and always called Him “Father.” Get out your concordance and look it up. He did not call Him all the names that the Jewish Christians or the Judaized Christians wanted to call Him. Jesus called Him “Father” and this is what He says we will call Him. This is what we'll know Him as – as “Father,” like Jesus knew Him. He used the term over and over, all the way through the Gospels. These people are going to be coming back out of the land of the north (as we see from Jeremiah 3:14 on down), out of bondage, back to Zion. Zion is the place where King David ruled and Zion is the place where Jesus ruled, not in the flesh, but in the Spirit. Jesus was ruling in a new city of Jerusalem and the Apostle Paul told the disciples that they are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem (Heb.12:22) while they were on the earth. So, once again, God is restoring the Kingdom. As Jesus came to restore the Kingdom, the Man-child is coming to restore, to rebuild spiritual, heavenly Jerusalem on this earth and to sit as the body in whom the King Jesus Christ lives. God has said, David shall never want (“lack”) a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel (Jer.33:17). Inside that “man” is going to be the King of kings and He is going to get all the credit. The King of kings is coming inside the body of the Son of David. Glory be to God! Isn't it neat the way God has put this parable together over and over, so we would understand sooner or later? Father, in the Name of Jesus, we thank You so much, Lord, for helping us to see these wondrous things and we enjoy seeing the New Testament in our time, Lord, the Gospel time period. You are going to repeat this again. Oh, what a wondrous time we are coming to! A time of great glory, a time when the Lord Himself is coming to fellowship with us and live in our midst, as He lived in the midst of the Tabernacle in the wilderness, Lord. He came in the midst of His people. Jesus is Immanuel, “God with us,” and we thank You, Lord. We want so much for You to live in our midst. Those people who bowed to the golden calf, You were angered with and said You would no longer go in the midst of those people because they were a stiff-necked people. Lord, we know that's true of those who worship the image of the Beast, but it's not true of Your true people, who are Your true Levites, Your chosen ministers. Lord, we praise You and we thank You for the privilege of having You walking in our midst. We ask You, Lord, to finish the promise that You gave us, the promise that You gave to the fathers. Cause us to walk on all of the land that You gave to them, Lord, which our forefathers lost out on during the Dark Ages all the way up until the time we are in now. Thank You for being our Father and our Savior, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Garth Heckman TDAgiantslayer@Gmail.com The David Alliance Rom. 5: 2 Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God. 3 Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. 4 And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of [c]character (approved faith and [d]tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] [e]joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. 5 Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us. There is NO growth without resistance. This the first law of sowing and reaping. There is pain in trying not to eat your seed. There is pain planting it in the ground and feeling like you may never see it again. There is pain in watering, weeding, fertilizing the seed. There is pain watching the seasons not line up the way you want them to. There is pain in harvesting. There is pain building barns. There is joy in eating the excess… And you start over again. Pain is not only necessary it is vital. While pain is often seen as negative, it can be a catalyst for growth in various aspects of life. Here are 5 reasons why pain is vital to growth: Pain signals a need for change: Whether physical or emotional, pain often indicates that something is wrong or needs to be adjusted. It can prompt us to re-evaluate our choices, habits, or perspectives, leading to positive changes. Pain fosters resilience: Overcoming painful experiences can build resilience and mental fortitude. Each challenge we face and overcome equips us with the strength and wisdom to handle future obstacles. Pain enhances empathy: Experiencing pain can deepen our understanding and compassion for others who are suffering. It allows us to connect with their struggles on a more profound level, fostering empathy and kindness. Pain clarifies priorities: Painful experiences can force us to confront our vulnerabilities and re-evaluate what truly matters to us. This clarity can help us prioritize our values, relationships, and goals, leading to a more fulfilling life. Pain fuels personal growth: Pain can be a powerful motivator for self-improvement. It can push us out of our comfort zones, encouraging us to learn, grow, and become better versions of ourselves. It's important to note that not all pain is beneficial, and chronic or excessive pain can be detrimental to well-being. However, when viewed as an opportunity for growth, pain can be a catalyst for positive change and personal development.
Read OnlineZechariah his father, filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesied, saying: “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; for he has come to his people and set them free…” Luke 1:67–68Our story of the birth of Saint John the Baptist concludes today with the song of praise spoken by Zechariah after his tongue had been loosened on account of his transformation in faith. He had moved from doubting what the Archangel Gabriel had spoken to him to believing and following the command of the Archangel to name his firstborn son “John.” As we saw in yesterday's reflection, Zechariah is a model and example for those who have lacked faith, have suffered the consequences of their lack of faith, and have changed as a result.Today, we see an even fuller illustration of what happens when we change. No matter how deeply we have doubted in the past, no matter how far we have turned from God, when we turn back to Him with all our heart, we can hope to experience the same thing experienced by Zechariah. First, we see that Zechariah is “filled with the Holy Spirit.” And as a result of this gift of the Holy Spirit, Zechariah “prophesied.” These two revelations are very significant. As we prepare for the celebration of the Birth of Christ tomorrow on Christmas Day, we are also called to be “filled with the Holy Spirit” so that we also can act as a prophetic messenger of the Lord. Though Christmas is all about the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity, Christ Jesus our Lord, the Holy Spirit (the Third Person of the Holy Trinity) plays just as much of a significant role in the glorious event, both at that time and also today. Recall that it was by the Holy Spirit Who overshadowed Mother Mary that she conceived the Christ Child. In today's Gospel, it was the Holy Spirit Who enabled Zechariah to proclaim the greatness of God's act of sending John the Baptist ahead of Jesus to prepare the way for Him. Today, it must be the Holy Spirit Who fills our lives so as to enable us to proclaim the Christmas Truth. In our day and age, Christmas has become very secular in many parts of the world. Few people take time on Christmas to truly pray and worship God for all that He has done. Few people continually proclaim that glorious message of the Incarnation to family and friends during this most solemn celebration. How about you? Are you able to be a true “prophet” of the Most High God this Christmas? Has the Holy Spirit overshadowed you and filled you with the grace needed to point others to this glorious reason for our celebration?Reflect, today, upon the role of the Holy Spirit in your life this day. Invite the Holy Spirit to fill you, inspire you, and strengthen you, and to give to you the wisdom you need to be a mouthpiece of the glorious gift of the birth of the Savior of the World this Christmas. No other gift could be more important to give to others than this message of truth and love.Holy Spirit, I give You my life and invite You to come to me, to overshadow me and to fill me with Your divine presence. As You fill me, give me the wisdom I need to speak of Your greatness and to be an instrument through which others are drawn into the glorious celebration of the birth of the Savior of the World. Come, Holy Spirit, fill me, consume me and use me for Your glory. Jesus, I trust in You. Source of content: catholic-daily-reflections.comCopyright © 2024 My Catholic Life! Inc. All rights reserved. Dr. JB Hixson Mary Danielsen chats with JB Hixson on the dangers of false teaching. It might be difficult to comprehend how those who are supposed to have the Holy Spirit Who guides us into all truth could ever assent to false teaching. Peter warns us in his 2nd epistle that "many will follow their destructive ways" and so that is a reality that must be accepted and learned from. Destructive doctrines by depraved teachers will have eternal consequences. Mankind is prone to being deceived ever since the fall, but how can the average believer guard their hearts with all diligence when there are so many doctrines - some demonic - vying for our attention? Are some just ignoring that still, small voice? Are believers too trusting of anyone who calls themselves a pastor? All this and more with JB to continue to equip the church for dark days. Sometimes life is difficult even when we've done everything we know is right to do. Some of us have lost jobs, our marriage, suffer through illnesses, or have lost loved ones. In these times, the holidays and other celebrations may not be such a great time for us. If we aren't careful, our mindsets, emotions, and attitudes can lead us down a dark path of hopelessness. Yet, as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we know that nothing in our lives is a random act of fate. We have the King of kings and Lord of lords who hears and answers our prayers whether we see the immediate results or not. What should we do when life gets H.A.R.D.? H – Hope in God.“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God” (Psalms 42:5) When we struggle with hardship, we can place all of our hope in God. He sees everything that has happened to us and He is able to help us get through it. Our hope is restored when we discipline ourselves to pray to God and seek His word for daily renewal. A – Accept life can be difficult.“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33)This world is full of trouble regardless of where we live. Our hardship is rooted in the fact that sin entered the world thousands of years ago. Yet, because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ—we will get through the tough times. Because of His death and resurrection, we have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit Who gives us the strength to press on.R – Remember God's faithfulness in the past.“I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago” (Psalms 77:11). A mindset of hopelessness has a short memory, but a mind focused on God's goodness and grace is at peace. We can change our mode of thinking about what's wrong with our life to meditating on the blessings that God has given us in the past. When we intentional focus on being thankful—there's an incredible sense of joy that God is able to above and beyond what we expect. D – Do the right thing.“To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice” (Proverbs 21:3). Sometimes we can give ourselves permission to sin because of our hardships. Yet, we were bought with a price and given power over sin; therefore, we can do better than that. It's the daily choice of choosing what is right over wrong that will get us across the darkest valleys. Prayer Dear Lord, it's hard right now, but I trust You to take care of me. Help me to refocus my heart and mind on You rather than my difficult situations. In Jesus' name, amen.
Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... A few days ago, I felt a heavy heart coming upon me. I was being pulled down in heart, mind, spirit. Fortunately I remembered to give thanks to God for all HE has given me and provided for me to have at this point in my life. I began saying to God: * Thank YOU for my salvation. * Thank YOU for providing another believer for me to live with, who is person of faith in God as I have faith in God. * Thank YOU for our animals. * Thank YOU for our car. * Thank YOU that we have no debt. * Thank YOU for the place we live. * Thank YOU for the house we live in. Acts 17:26 (NIV Original translation) HE (God) determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.” John 20:21–23Happy Pentecost! Today, throughout the world, our Church celebrates the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon Jesus' first followers and upon all of us. Why do we need the Holy Spirit in our lives? This is an important question to ponder. Today, as always, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit work as One God. It is the Father Who wills that we be reconciled to Him; it was the Son Who made this reconciliation possible; and it is the Holy Spirit Who now accomplishes the completion of this act in our lives. At the heart of that gift of salvation is the remission of our sins. The passage above clearly reveals to us that Jesus bestowed a unique gift of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, His first bishops, entrusting them with the ability to forgive sins in His name and by His power. As we celebrate Pentecost, it is a good opportunity to prayerfully consider the action of the Holy Spirit in your life. One of the greatest ways that the Holy Spirit is potentially active in your life is through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Through that Sacrament, the Holy Spirit draws you to the Father and enables you to see and understand His perfect will, living more fully in union with the Son as a member of His Body. The Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit are some of the other ways that the Holy Spirit helps us in our Christian walk. However, these gifts would be ineffective in our lives if we did not first receive the gift of forgiveness given through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. That is the first and most foundational action of the Holy Spirit and opens the door to every other gift. Perhaps that is why Jesus' first bestowal of the Holy Spirit focused upon the power given to His Apostles to forgive sins in His name.Once we are reconciled to the Father and begin to live in a state of grace, the Holy Spirit will continue to deepen His relationship with us and bestow His help upon us for our Christian journey. This especially happens through the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit. The gifts most affecting our intellect are the Gifts of Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge. Wisdom helps us to understand the inner life of the Trinity more clearly. Understanding helps us to make sense of our lives and mission in the light of the Gospel. Knowledge helps us make practical decisions in accord with God's will. The gifts of Fear of the Lord and Piety assist us in our love of God. Fear of the Lord helps us to see how our actions help or hinder our relationship with God, helping to motivate us to avoid all that harms this relationship and choose all that strengthens it. Piety helps us to see the great dignity and beauty of God and enables us to have a deep reverence for Him and for all of His people. Counsel and Fortitude are also given by the Holy Spirit and help us to firmly move forward in faith and love. Counsel especially helps us with love of neighbor, and Fortitude adds the strength we need to do all that we are called to do in love with unwavering commitment. As we celebrate the great Solemnity of Pentecost, reflect, today, upon the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. If you want to be open to the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit in your life and receive the many gifts you need for your journey of faith, then begin with the most fundamental gift. Begin with the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Ponder the words Jesus spoke in our Gospel today and know that by entrusting the grace to forgive sins in His name to His first priests, Jesus was also calling you to embrace that gift. The Holy Spirit wants you to be cleansed of all sin. Allow Him to do so and you will be amazed at all the grace that follows. My glorious Lord, You promised to send the Holy Spirit upon us to lead us into all Truth and to reconcile us to the Father. You were faithful to that promise at Pentecost and now continuously bestow the Holy Spirit upon all who believe. Holy Spirit, please come upon me, especially by forgiving my sins in the Sacrament of Reconciliation and by filling me with Your sevenfold Gifts. Jesus, I trust in You.Source of content: catholic-daily-reflections.comCopyright © 2024 My Catholic Life! Inc. All rights reserved. MIRACLES FOR YOU Sondra Ray & Markus Ray on A Course in Miracles
HEAVEN is real. It is free of all guilt and conflict. War is unreal. Guilt is unreal. There is no conflict in the Will of God. When we use the Holy Spirit's corrective energy on our behalf, we restore our will with God's Will, and therefore dissolve all forms of conflict. PEACE is WHOLE and unambiguous, or not at all. There is no variation or contrast in PEACE. This we would call HEAVEN. We are ready to leave behind our former "guidance system" of the ego, that kept us embroiled in the contrasts of opposites, and surrender to the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit Who is in complete touch with our Reality. He judges the TRUTH from the FALSE, and lets the FALSE go. God would WILL us into HEVEN, and the Holy Spirit can lead us there when we are willing to be led and make no decisions by ourselves.

Years ago, I received a summons for jury duty. After arriving at the courthouse, I was chosen to be one of twelve jurors for a trial. However, I was dismissed after I said I was a pastor. Did the defense think I would be too strict? Did the prosecution think I would be too forgiving? In John 16, Jesus explains that He knew the disciples would be grieving. He wanted them to realize that His going was a good thing. He would be reunited with His Father, and the Holy Spirit, referred to in verse 7 as “the Advocate,” would come. The disciples were not yet familiar with the Holy Spirit Who would become an integral part of their life. The Holy Spirit fulfills several roles, but one of those roles is one of the prosecutor of the world for its disbelief in Jesus, its rejection of His righteousness, and its alliance with the evil one who stands condemned (vv. 8–11). As a prosecutor, the Holy Spirit doesn't need a jury, unlike our court procedures, because He is the Spirit of Truth. As our Advocate, the Holy Spirit brings comfort and guidance. To the believer He reveals the truth which comes from Jesus Himself (vv. 13–14). Jesus could only share a limited amount of truth with His followers. Some things they were unable or not ready to understand. Like a parent concerned with what their child is ready to process, Jesus says, “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear” (v. 12). When the Holy Spirit came, He would guide them into truth. >> Is there a question in Scripture where you need clarification? Is there a decision that you need to make before the end of this year? Maybe you need help evaluating your options regarding a job or potential spouse. On a recent vacation, my wife and I had the opportunity to travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The house where we stayed was on the beach. From the balcony, we looked out at what seemed to be an endless supply of beautiful blue ocean water. But as beautiful as it was, I knew that a drink of this vast supply of salty water would not refresh me; it will only make me thirstier. I wanted water that was fresh, cool, and clean. In John chapter 7, Jesus' disciples went to Judea for the Jewish Festival of Tabernacles (vv. 2–3). Jesus went in secret, partway through the festival, because the Jewish leaders were pursuing Him, seeking to kill Him (vv. 1, 8). In John 7:37, Jesus spoke to the crowd on the last and greatest day of the Feast of Tabernacles. The practice of the week required the priests to walk from the pool of Siloam and pour out water at the base of the altar at the Temple. On the seventh day there was a special ceremony. It is possible that Jesus used this event to reinforce the meaning of His words to the crowd: “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink” (v. 37). Think about it. Parched and thirsty pilgrims could be refreshed only by the water that Jesus offered. Not only would the person who drank the water that Jesus offered be refreshed, but more than that, as Jesus added, “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him” (v. 38). >> When we believe in Jesus we can be refreshed. But it also means that we can be a refreshment to others. It can happen because the Giver of refreshment and the source of refreshment is God. When you place your faith in Jesus Christ, you receive the Holy Spirit Who provides us with all that we need to flourish and refresh others in our spiritually parched world.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
December 10 2023 Sunday A Study In Romans Week 07 / T. Stacy Hayes #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word. That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. This podcast is free to all that want to listen and grow strong in who God has made them to be in Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior. CD 1600 “Reigning in Righteousness Series” - Part 5(WALKING in WISDOM and Using Understanding)11/12/2023 A.M. The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ should be in the earth today what Jesus was when He walked in the flesh by the presence of the Holy Spirit! But we have our priorities upside down and have put man's programs in front of the Bible! We came to salvation by the “Living Word” and it is only by that same “Living Word” can we learn how to reign in this life! To finish out this prophetic year of release we need to get back to the basics of everyday relationship with the Lord. So we are in WEEK #5 of this series that will teach us how to grow from a “baby believer” to a “KINGDOM KID”! This week we are looking at how WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING work together in harmony to determine our path and its brightness and our level of intimacy with the Lord! We can locate ourselves by looking into the mirror of the Word of God, for our Lord can't lie! Ask the Holy Spirit Who leads into all TRUTH to reveal how much you are being led by your 5 senses versus what the Word teaches! We need to learn how to live victoriously NOW for life is brief if we are simply living for the moment. Let's remind ourselves of the verse we read the first 4 weeks on the shortness of this life and be created to reign:*James 4:14 (KJV) Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. You were created to rule from the beginning and in Christ you are to rule:*Genesis 1:26 (KJV) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…*Revelation 1:6 (KJV) And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Jesus taught us to work while it is day for the night is coming when no person can work! Today is the day of salvation and we must have the ”NOW FAITH” to WALK in WISDOM and Use Understanding on a daily consistent basis!*Series Text: Proverbs 4:18-19 (KJV) But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. 19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.*Series Text: Romans 5:17 (KJV) For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Like we said from the start of this series as we progress we will break down these verses very concisely! So, today we are ready to dive deeper into the thought in Proverbs chapter 4 dealing with “WISDOM” and “Understanding”. We must have both in proportion to learn how to live free! This morning we will look at these 3 points:#1 Hear as a Child#2 Have (GET) as a Child#3 Heritage of a ChildOur path will get brighter and brighter each step of the way as we “WALKING in WISDOM and Using Understanding”! “WISDOM and Understanding” as we will look more closely at today is the “principal thing”:*Proverbs 4:7 (KJV) “WISDOM” is the principal thing; therefore get “WISDOM”: and with all thy getting get “Understanding”. #1 HEAR as a Child *Read Proverbs 4:1-4 (KJV) Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. 2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. 3 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my

Many believe they are not good enough, so they find validation through any means necessary. Why do people have plastic surgery? Why do they have to wear certain clothes or drive a certain vehicle? They are having an identity crisis! Today from the Word of God you are by Holy Spirit going to be able to answer those 3 questions and find your purpose, know your potential and live a life of praise!#1 Purpose *Read 2 Timothy 1:
We are here in a dark place and commanded to be anxious for nothing and in everything to give thanks. The only way any of that can be done is through the power of the Holy Spirit and faith in the words of Jesus. Jesus said “be of good cheer” for I have overcome this world. “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions, …I go and prepare a place for you.” (Jn. 14:1-2) “I will also send the Helper, the Holy Spirit Who will lead you into all truth and keep you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” AMEN! "Because There Is A War For Your Soul" www.liferecovery.com
This morning's rant is a continuation on we are required to go through trials and tribulation so that we can grow as children of God.Psalm 91:14-16The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.15 When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.16 I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”Romans 5:2-6Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. 4 And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.James 1:12Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.Acts 14:22Strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/622a9079e8fb640012cb94f3. The cancer to our faith is what the Bible calls condemnation. When we feel condemned, we expect punishment. Sometimes we experience guilt because of our behavior, and sometimes we have no clue. It doesn't matter what the source is, condemnation is crippling. Join me this week as we discuss the work of the Holy Spirit Who witnesses to our hearts to pull us out of these times of guilt and shame!

In the Vidi Aquam we sing, "I beheld water that proceeded from the Temple, on the right side thereof: and all they to whom that water came were healed, everyone." These words come from the Prophet Ezekiel in Ezekiel 47 and are fulfilled on the day of Pentecost. Jesus said in the Gospel of St. John chapter 7, "He that believes in Me, as Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." The next verse tells us that this He spoke concerning the Holy Spirit Who would be poured on on the Day of Pentecost. We are the Temple, Christ's Body upon the earth, from which flows living waters for the salvation of souls until He comes again. Today we embrace the truth of God's Divine wisdom and plan to make us earthen vessels that contain this living water. Through us, He intends to heal the soul of all mankind and restore humanity to its originally created state.
And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. Acts 2:2–4And with that, the Church was born. Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Pentecost which, in many ways, was the culmination of the mission of Christ. The pinnacle of His mission will come at the end of time when He returns in all His glory to judge the living and the dead and to establish His permanent Kingdom. But for now, we live under the rule of the Holy Spirit Who has descended upon us in full form, transforming us and making it possible to prepare for Jesus' final and glorious coming. The Trinity is truly a Mystery of Faith. In our limited way, we understand that God is Three in One. He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each a distinct Person. Each fully sharing in the one divine nature. Though They act in perfect unison, They each fulfill Their unique mission. The Father is the one Who sent the Son into the world and willed that He give His life for the salvation of all. The Son was sent and perfectly fulfilled the will of the Father, uniting humanity with divinity. The Holy Spirit is the Promise of Father and Son Who proceeds from Them and descends upon us, animating us and making it possible for us to share in the life of the Most Holy Trinity. If that is hard to comprehend, it should be. Our limited intellects can only grasp a shadow of the reality of God. That fact, however, should not discourage us. On the contrary, it should inspire us to anticipate that day when we will see God face to face and enter more deeply into the mystery of His divine life. Today we especially focus upon the Third Person of the Most Holy Trinity: The Holy Spirit. It is an incredible gift we have been given to live in this age of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps you have thought to yourself that it would have been nice to live during the time that Jesus walked the earth. But Jesus Himself said that it was good that He go. Why? Because then He would send His Advocate, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, Who will lead you into all Truth. Thus, the age in which we now live, the age of the Holy Spirit, is the most blessed age the world has ever seen. This is because we are now able to receive the indwelling of the Most Holy Trinity by the power of the Holy Spirit. God is no longer spoken only through the prophets. He is no longer revealed only through the Person of the Son in Jesus Christ. He is now also able to live within us, making our very souls His dwelling place. Heaven and earth unite within our souls. There could be nothing greater than this.As the Holy Spirit descends upon you, He brings the presence of the Father and the Son. They are inseparable. Therefore, as we prayerfully look within ourselves, we discover the Voice of the Father, leading us into His holy will. We discover the Person of the Son to Whom we are called to be conformed in every way, living as members of His very body on earth. This is made possible because the Holy Spirit descends upon us in a way similar to the way the Holy Spirit overshadowed our Blessed Mother, conceiving within her the Son of God. As the Holy Spirit overshadows us, God is conceived within our souls, and we begin to share in the very life of God here and now. Reflect, today, upon these holy mysteries of our faith. See the actions of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as a true mystery. The only way we will be able to begin to probe these mysteries is through prayerful pondering. We must look for the workings of God within, see Him at work within our souls, savor His presence, rejoice in it and keep our eyes firmly fixed on Him. We must see the fruit of God's presence in our lives, such as the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Below is a full list of these Gifts. Ponder them today. As you do, and as you see these Gifts within you, you will be seeing God Himself, the Holy Spirit, alive and living within the depths of your soul. Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I worship You and adore You with all my Heart. Thank You, Father, for sending Your Son into the world. Thank You Father and Son for sending the Holy Spirit into my life. May I open my soul more fully to You today and every day so as to prepare for Your glorious return at the end of the ages. Jesus, I trust in You. Source of content: catholic-daily-reflections.comCopyright © 2023 My Catholic Life! Inc. All rights reserved. Used with permission via RSS feed.
Many people have questions about the Holy Spirit: Who or what is it? How does it relate to God and Jesus? What role does it play in our lives? How do I know if the Holy Spirit is working in my life? How can I discern the voice of the Holy Spirit? In this video, we'll explore the Holy Spirit from a Biblical perspective and clarify common misunderstandings. By the end of this video, you'll have a better understanding of who the Holy Spirit is and how you can experience His power and presence in your life.
Greetings All!Thank you for listening to Into the Pray. You can watch the YouTube version of this video here if you prefer. Please also consider supporting this podcast and our radical publishing (new book forthcoming this month related to this discussion). You can give here. Over the last few years we have started to get more serious in detaching ourselves from that which is false and relying on the Presence and power of the Holy Spirit Who is radicalising us into radical disciples. We would still consider ourselves to be very much de-radicalised.One of the things that happens when we surrender to the Holy Spirit, in worshipful repentance, is that it upsets people, including people who hate Israel. Please watch/share this podcast/video as I explain.
The devotion for today, Friday, February 3, 2023 was written by Charlie C. Rose and is narrated by Judithann Anderson. Today's Words of Inspiration come from 1 Corinthians 12. 4-11There are different kinds of gifts. But it is the same Holy Spirit Who gives them. There are different kinds of work to be done for God...There are different ways of doing God's work… The Holy Spirit works in each person in one way or another for the good of all. One person is given the gift of teaching words of wisdom. Another person is given the gift of teaching… These gifts are by the same Holy Spirit. One person receives the gift of faith. Another person receives the gifts of healing…One person is given the gift of doing powerful works. Another person is given the gift of speaking God's Word. Another person is given the gift of telling the difference between the Holy Spirit and false spirits. Another person is given the gift of speaking in special sounds. Another person is given the gift of telling what these special sounds mean. But it is the same Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, who does all these things. He gives to each person as He wants to give.Support the show
Zechariah his father, filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesied, saying:“Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; for he has come to his people and set them free…” Luke 1:67–68Our story of the birth of Saint John the Baptist concludes today with the song of praise spoken by Zechariah after his tongue had been loosened on account of his transformation in faith. Jesus, I trust in You.Source of content: catholic-daily-reflections.comCopyright © 2022 My Catholic Life! Inc. All rights reserved. The Holy Spirit Who planned redemption from all eternity as God, prophesied that redemption in Scripture, and now pursues that redemption by applying Christ and His mind to men in the church. Peace comes from submission to and participation with the Spirit-by the Spirit's own grace.
Who deliver the judgments of the church- Acts 15-23-35 looks forward to the morning sermon on the coming Lord's Day. In these thirteen verses of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that while it is preachers who deliver judgments from synods, and exhort, and strengthen, and teach, and preach, yet ultimately it is the Holy Spirit Who is doing all these things in the church.
Holy Habit #5: Prayer The Power of Passionate Prayer: How to Pray Like Your Life Depends upon it! • Jesus prayed regularly. • Jesus prayed often. • Jesus prayed in the early mornings (Mark 1:35). • Jesus prayed late in the evenings (Matthew 14:23). • Jesus prayed all night at critical times in his life and ministry (Luke 6:12). • Jesus prayed in private places like on mountain tops and the wilderness (Mark 6:46, Luke 6:12, Luke 5:16). • Jesus prayed passionately (Hebrews 5:7). • Jesus prayed persistently (Matthew 26:44). • Jesus prayed in the Father’s will (Matthew 26:42). • Jesus prayed to give thanks for food (Matthew 14:19). • Jesus prayed to bless the little children (Matthew 19:13-15). • Jesus prayed to His disciples and for all future believers—and this includes you (John 17:1-25, Romans 8:34). • Jesus prayed for His disciples to receive the Holy Spirit Who would be with them forever (John 14:16). • Jesus is praying for you right now even as we are gathered together (Hebrews 7:25). 1. The Posture of Prayer: Pray like you are talking to a loving Father (v. 1-4). Make prayer a priority in your life everyday, starting today! Challenge: Try to start and end each day with a time of passionate prayer for your Father in Heaven. 2. The Persistence of Prayer: Pray with some holy tenacity and Godly grit (v. 5-8). Prayer is not just about me getting my needs met, but prayer is also about me becoming more like my Father who is in Heaven. The more time that I spend connecting with Heaven, the more Heaven comes down to take residence in my soul. 3. The Picture of Prayer: Pray with eager anticipation (9-13). Find a good place to pray. Your prayer closet is anywhere will you will have minimal distractions. Also try to develop a habit of when you pray. Mornings are a great time to start your day before you begin your daily routines. Today’s Big Idea: A.S.K. Pray like all depends upon God and keep seeking and knocking like you believe God will answer! Action Steps: * Start and end each day with a time of meaningful prayer with your Heavenly Father. * Ask God to do His part, and you keep on taking the next right steps until the prayer is finally answered. (Keep in mind that you may get a different answer than you originally requested). * Make prayer a culture in your everyday life. Prayer should not just be an activity that you engage in, but prayer should be part of who you are!
There are seven wrong reasons to serve, and love is not one of them. Jesus Himself did not come to be served but to serve, and He calls us to take up His easy yoke and light burden. In the fourth part of this series, Kong Hee elaborates on the secret of serving, which is the love that comes from the Holy Spirit Who is promised to us by God. The Holy Spirit creates in us a new heart, and pours out God's love into our hearts like a waterfall. This love creates in us a desire to serve, and as we serve Him, we enjoy His love more and more. Listen to this sermon and be encouraged: if you are tired of serving, don't serve more, but love more.
Since it is God-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-Who has saved us, is saving us, and will save us, He has given us a sign on earth to remember that Jesus is applying this to us from heaven by His Spirit.

Listen in to learn more about: What it looks like to live more fully in the presence of the Holy Spirit Who the Holy Spirit is, how we hear from Him, and why He is important The gifts of the Spirit and how we can use our gifts to impact the world and share the message of Jesus Favorite quotes: ~The enemy hasn't taken the power away from the church, He has simply done his best to make us believe that we don't possess it. A life awakened to the Spirit is a life lived listening to God, listening to His voice and remembering that you are more than you can see and more than what you feel and that God has a purpose even for the little things in your life. ~The Holy Spirit is a speaking member of the Trinity. ~What happened in the early church was not just for the early church, it was a continuation. ~There aren't people who don't hear from God, you just haven't learned how He speaks to you specifically yet. ~When we don't have the realization that we are supernatural beings that happen to live in earthly bodies, that our supernatural lives began the moment we said Yes to a saving relationship with Jesus, that eternity began then for us. We were born not just of flesh, but we were born of spirit, alive in that moment for eternity. ~If the spiritual gifts are tools given to us by the Holy Spirit so HE can move through us, then, it makes them less about us, less about the gift and more about the person on the other side. While the Topical Sermon and the Textual Sermon are treatments of a subject, the Expository Sermon is a treatment of a text. This kind of preaching can be seen throughout the Bible. Ezra - “So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading,” Nehemiah 8:8. Paul - “26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God,” Acts 20:26-27. Jesus – In Nazareth, Luke 4:16-22On the Emmaus Road, “And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself,” Luke 24:27. “And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?” (Luke 24:32)To the disciples, “44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem,” Luke 24:44-47. Stephen was an expositor – Acts 7:2-53. Phillip expounded Isaiah 53:7-8 to the Ethiopian eunuch, Acts 8:27-35. “Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus,” Acts 8:35.Expository sermons can be defined by what they are not. Dr. John MacArthur provides a good list.It is not a commentary running from word to word and verse to verse without unity, outline, and pervasive drive. It is not rambling comments and offhand remarks about a passage. It is not a mass of disconnected suggestions and inferences based on a mere surface meaning of a passage. It is not pure exegesis. It is not a mere structural outline of a passage with a few comments attached. It is not a topical homily, which picks out certain parts of the passage, but fails to mention other, equally important parts. It is not a collection of grammatical findings and readings from commentaries. It is not a Sunday-school lesson type of discussion. It is not a Bible reading that links together a bunch of scattered passages together. It is not the ordinary devotional or prayer-meeting talk.II. The Advantages Of The Expository SermonExpository preaching allows God to speak, by expressing the words spoken by God himself.Expository preaching retains the mind of the Spirit. Thus, it brings the preacher into direct contact with the mind of the Holy Spirit Who authored the Scriptures.Expository preaching frees the preacher to proclaim the whole counsel of the Word of God. This produces a ministry of wholeness and integrity.Expository preaching promotes biblical literacy. This kind of preaching yields a rich knowledge of the truths of the Word of God.Expository preaching carries ultimate divine authority, it allows the very voice of God to be heard.Expository preaching has the power to transform the preacher, thus transforming the congregation.Expository preaching allows the preacher to have an unlimited source of sermon material. The rest of the show notes are available on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ThePreachingMattersPodcastPlease subscribe and leave a positive review. You can email me at thepreachingmatterspodcast@gmail.comThanks to Jesse Carr for the graphics.
Pastor Bob answers these four questions about the Holy Spirit: Who is the Holy Spirit? What is His purpose? How do I receive Him? What is the evidence that He is in my life?
Keep your eye on Jesus and watch God continually weaving every detail of your life into His perfect plan for good into your life. He is always with you—do not yield to fear. He never gives you a spirit of fear or doubt or worries; instead, He gave you by the Holy Spirit Who lives in you. God lives through you and infuses you with the strength and help you need in every situation. He already knows what you need before you even ask. So, stop letting the enemy make you perpetually uneasy and worried about your life. He never stands for the truth. He is full of lies—lying is his native tongue. He is a liar and the father of lies himself. His Spirit of Truth Guides you into All Truth which both heals and nourishes you. His Voice restores and revives and replenishes your heart. His Truth frees your heart and mind to see through the enemy's lies. His Truth is the reality on the Highest Plane. For Truth is not something you act upon; it acts upon you.
You're a new creation in Christ. You're on your own unique journey through this life. You're simply passing through on your way to heaven. No wonder you sometimes feel lost and out of place here. God has sent help! The indwelling Holy Spirit Who is your Comforter, Helper, and Guide and the word of God will give you light and life as you move ever closer to home.
Hope is a foundational truth about our God, but if we misinterpret or misapply its meaning we will continually feel let down which can lead to depression. If I place all my hopes on a relationship, job, finances or the timing of what I am hoping for, I will be disheartened. But, if my Hope is settled on WHO God is and not a certain outcome then I will be full of joy and peace as I trust in HimHis hope does not disappoint, as Romans 5:5 tells us because it comes from the love He has for us that He sealed in us by giving us the Holy Spirit. May the God of all hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13 Even when things don't go our way, or we have an unexpected loss we can thank God that He is our radiant hope, and He is at work in the situation. (Psalm 27:13, 33:20 TPT) Hope challenges us to dream again. God has made us dreamers. He has placed in each of us the desire and longing to see our dreams fulfilled. He promises that if He is our primary desire He will give us what we long for. “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:4 ESV I love the way The Passion Translation says it. “Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and He will provide for you what you desire the most.” What Dreams Have You Put On Hold? Reimagine those possibilities while firmly resting your hope on God's promises and love for you. Start awakening the desires you may have stuffed down, but awaken them to the hope that “...with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37 NKJV Steps to walking in Hope: Step One: Believe God Step Two: Abide in Him and not your circumstances Step Three: Trust His Timing Step 4: Begin dreaming again Here are a few of the promises you can hold onto: He is anchor for our soul He never changes or fails He is always faithful He will never leaves us or forsake us He is our peace He longs to be good to us He is our healer He is our provider He is our protection He is a good Father who always takes care of His children “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.” Romans 15:13 AMP “Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.” Romans 5:5 AMPC #encouragingfreedom #empoweringwomen #bible #allthingsnew #transformation #Jesus #empoweredtoliveyourpurpose #wholeselflifecoach #hope --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/rhiannon-staal/message
Today, Friday November 20 - James 2 - Spiritual maturity does not mean I have arrived spiritually to a place in my life where I don't need to grow anymore. Someone said that the biggest room in all the world is "the room for improvement." That really is the story of Job, that James would mention in the last chapter of his letter. Job was such a good and upright person that even Satan could not find any wrong in his life to accuse him of. But God knew that Job needed to grow some more in his relationship with God. So the book of Job ends with Job saying, "Before these painful trials, I would tell people what I heard about God with my ears, but now my eyes have seen Him and I can tell people what I have personally experienced with God! Spiritual maturity will be revealed in a life and heart of love! We will see everyone around us through the eyes of Jesus and respect them and give them value. Christian love does not mean that I must like a person and agree with him on everything. But Christian love means I will treat others the way God has treated me! It is an act of the will, not a emotion that I try to manufacture. And this "Agape" Love can only come from God Himself through the Holy Spirit Who lives in us! God bless and have a great day!
