It's episode 294…and I'm sorry, it seems I wore my long legs today. Longlegs (2024) follows FBI agent Lee Harker, who is assigned to the case of a serial killer who is apparently responsible for compelling several patriarchs to murder their families across multiple decades, with the only trace being cryptic letters signed ‘Longlegs'. Can Agent Harker prevent more murders, and will Longlegs' origins prove to be closer to home than she thinks? We talk about the horror movie dubbed ‘the scariest film of the decade', the highs and lows of a film that wants to be both arthouse and popcorn, a creepy character that evokes Old Gregg and Jennifer Coolidge, the importance of getting out of the car and whether investigating your own mum counts as a conflict of interest. Plus, isn't it annoying when Satan inverts a trend? All of which leads to one question: How would you survive? Whatever happens, one thing's for sure: Our prayers protect us from the devil. Next time on the main feed, it's the concluding part of Ti West's X trilogy with MaXXXine (2024), while over on the Patreon we're watching I Saw The TV Glow (2024).
It's Old Ned Mother Lickers! Another fun sea monster not as comical as Old Gregg but has been lurking in waters of Lake Utopia since the 1800's!

It's the most wonderful time of the year, when we once again bring you our Holiday special. This year, we are joined again by our good friend Alan Siler to discuss the iconic BBC Children's production of The Box of Delights! Many of you have asked for us to talk about this one, and so we hope that this doesn't disappoint! Join us as we discuss posset pots, going swift (does someone own the copyright on “flying”?), creepy clergymen, esoteric topics (yes, Anthony gets to talk about alchemy, Rosicrucianism, and Aleister Crowley!), obscure bits of mythology, the shifting motivations of the villain, the complete inability of anyone to actually look after children in this, whether or not the whole thing was actually a fever dream, and not getting as much Patrick Troughton as we wanted. The extraterrestrial comedy podcast where we probe the Narrabeen Monster which may or may not be but probably is an alien elephant. We also learn a lot about elephants because we are educational bastards on But It Was Aliens. The Narrabeen Lake near Sydney in New South Wales, Australia, was visited by one of these little beautiful decrepit elephants in 1968. Mabel Walsh and Mabel's nephew, John, saw this visit taking place. John by the way was extremely handsome, honourable and trustworthy. Mabel and dashing John wouldn't be the only experiencers of this experience however… When things get credible, the big UFO researchers get involved. But can the alleged experts tell us whether this is a case of VampAliens or EleVamps? All that and more on this week's file. We are back from our break to talk Man City and their Treble, all the transfers to Saudi Arabian teams, the US Women's National Soccer Team's World Cup roster, and then swing around to finish talking about the US Men's National Team. And what would have us arguing away in that one? Why of course, it's the return of Gregg Berhalter as USMNT's coach…again…after a six month search for his replacement….we have thoughts. The extraterrestrial comedy podcast where we probe CERN. What do you really know about the Large Hadron Collider? Greybeard is a lord. Of sea-monkeys, but it counts. More importantly, we are touching down in conspiracy town again this week as we analyse whether CERN are utilising the LHC to destroy the world. Or at least, bring something somewhat unsavoury through it. Is the location of the LHC really the place you want to see a statue associated with the destruction of the world? Are the people in charge of these potentially world-ending experiments associated with human sacrifice? Along the way, we also learn how to defeat Goro in Mortal Kombat and whether Moonwalker or Greybeard would go through a Stargate themselves. But before that, we discover what weasels are doing in the tunnels of the LHC. You may think that this is a lot so let's just throw something else in to the mix… How does all this tie in to the Illuminati and the New World Order? All that and more on this week's file. Firstly, you may have noticed the Lemmiwinks song (The Ballad of Lemmiwinks) from South Park season 6 episode 14. At the time, we thought that this was one of the best episodes of South Park ever in our humble view, though we aren't sure if it's aged well. In the episode, the Frog King, Sparrow Prince and Catatafish guide Lemmiwinks to safety. We can only assume this song was written and produced by trey Parker and Matt Stone via South Park Studios. During the Mortal Kombat how to beat Goro discussion (parody finisher - lego brick), we snuck the Mortal Kombat theme in there. Now, for this one we're not entirely sure on the credits. The internet tells us that this is called Techno Syndrome and was written by Oliver Adams, published via Virgin Records. If that is not accurate, our sincerest apologies. Rumour has it that the song was made on an Atari ST. We may have gotten a little carried away this episode because during the Old Gregg discussion, we also included a snippet from Love Games - the wondrous song from the Mighty Boosh comedy troupe. This song featured in BBC Three series two episode ‘The Legend of Old Gregg' performed by Old Gregg and Howard Moon (Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt). Mmmm, creamy.
A day late, but a dollar...well still a dollar short. This week's episode may be late, but that just means we put extra time into making it a good one, which it definitely is. Comedian buddy Sean Reilly stops by the podcast to share his thoughts on a very obscure and little known album, Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon. We dive into Sean's first memory of the band as well as make our own fantasy supergroup with some very specific rules. We also talk a lot of tik tok and figure out why Nick doesn't like Old Gregg. This was a super fun episode and we're sorry it's a little late, but enjoy! Thanks to Pale Blue Dot for our theme For You... Old Gregg... What to say... Well usually we have some sort of play on motivation or spirit, but it's episode 80 of Brightside Radio, and why not? He's a playful, scaly, man fish who is in search of love. And so are we. I mean not very scaly or man fishy, but still. Sit back with a glass of creamy bailey's and enjoy. In this episode we ATTEMPT to make a commentary track over the Tricks and Treats story that is in Episode 31: The Grindhouse Funhouse Radio Play. As you will see, it takes us a while to warm up to that part. We get wrapped up in the Kai The Homeless Hitchhiker Story, as well as talk a little Old Gregg! It takes a few minutes, but we actually start to play the first read through of the Radio Play. It's terrible. No point in playing the good one right. While listening to it, Grant (TK1, Ed Richter) The Seasoned "Actor", has a bit of trouble telling the recording apart from real life...in a bizarre twist of events, his past self even starts to talk to him! Can the world handle a recording of TK1 that's self aware? Stay Tuned! This is Part 1 of 2. So pop your meds, even you are going to feel like your going insane after listening to this train wreck! -AG
