Salesforce Commerce has a long history in the ecommerce platform market, from the acquisition of Demandware to the birth and growth of SiteGenesis. SiteGenesis was built before mobile dominated online shopping, so there are newer architectural options for SFCC customers. Many Salesforce customers are facing a big decision: stick with an old SiteGenesis version, or twist to either SFRA for a mobile-first solution or the newer composable storefront. In this episode we aim to dispel some of the concerns with remaining on SiteGenesis. Customers don't have to migrate if they have the right SI partner to maintain SiteGenesis but there are pros and cons of staying on this path that need to be understood, for example limitations with the roadmap, maintenance of 3rd party connectors, effort doing releases and maintaining performance. The market is evolving, with some Salesforce customers having already moved to SFRA or composable storefront, which is making other retailers review their platform choice. We're joined by leading SFCC agency partner Tryzens, who also have experience delivering solutions on ecommerce platforms like Magento and Shopify. Listen to Liam Downes, Director of Strategy and Success, and Shivko Rusev, SVP Salesforce Practice, share their views on how to approach Salesforce migrations and what type/size of business is best suited to the modern SFCC solution and why.

I am a Spokane native woman of color, who recently graduated with a master's degree in social work from Eastern Washington University. My bachelor's degree was also from Eastern, in social work with a minor in political science. I am passionate about social justice and systemic issues within my community. I believe that in order for individuals to be successful, systems have to be in place to facilitate and support growth and success. Shortly before graduation, I became employed at the Carl Maxey Center to do census outreach and have recently transitioned to Black-owned business outreach. My work with the Carl Maxey Center, in combination with my learning and personal experience around race, has given me a bowed understanding of racism in the greater Spokane area. I am a Black woman born in North Idaho and transplanted to Spokane before I can even remember. I graduated from Lewis and Clark to attend both SCC and SFCC. I continued my education at Eastern where I earned my Bachelor's of Social work and a year later my Master's of Social Work. I have been able to grow with Spokane and I intend to push the city to grow and be more welcoming to people who look like me and those who look different from me. I have a passion for helping the African American community and was delighted to find others in Spokane excited and ready to do the same work. I met Sandy in my bachelor's program and decided that I wanted to work for her and the lovely board at the Carl Maxey Center when I graduated. I am happy to say that I have been working for the Carl Maxey Center for a little over a year and love every minute of it. Even though plans for this weekend's service and celebration of Buddy and Gaye have been changed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we will still worship together online with music and Buddy and Gaye will deliver their final message to SFCC. We will also share in communion together towards the end of the service and close out with a short thank you to Buddy and Gaye.

When Jesus left His disciples and ascended to Heaven to prepare a place for all who trust in Him, He left them with some parting words. He wanted them to remember and carry forward what was most important. In this series, Buddy & Gaye are sharing their Parting Words as they close their 25 year ministry at SFCC.

Parting words can be emotional, encouraging, compelling and challenging. During this series, Buddy and Gaye would like to relay to you some parting words as their final day approaches here at SFCC. We hope it will inspire and encourage you to be your best for God long after our departure.

If the church was created to transform the world, why isn't today’s church having that kind of impact? Join us as we begin a new series, “NEIGHBORING” as we look at why SFCC exists, and how we can transform our world one neighbor and one neighborhood at a time.

My good friend Kristen Henning stops by the podcast to discuss our time as theater students, her journey that's lead her back to SFCC, and her amazing future plans. Kristen is one of the most kind people I know, and has some amazing insights into what makes for a great experience in theater education. She also happens to hold multiple degrees (including two Master's) in Speech, Theater, and Communication. Kristen is currently a Student Success Navigator and Adjunct (for now...) Faculty member at State Fair Community College, in Sedalia, Missouri.
Listen to Matt and Andy repeatedly say LGCIU for 15 minutes! The main components are two main landing gear with two wheels on each that retract inboard and one nose wheel gear with two wheels that retracts forwards. The landing gear and the doors are electrically controlled and hydraulically operated. Landing Gear Control Interface units form a significant part of the A320. Because they are in charge sending landing gear position data to other aircraft systems, loss of both can have far reaching consequences. LGCIUs receive all this data from three sets of proximity sensors. The ones for the landing gear, the ones for the cargo doors and the ones for the flaps. So, for the landing gear, they receive information about when.... - The landing gears are locked down or up, or - The shock absorbers are compressed or extended, or - The landing gear doors are open, or closed, or - The bogie are aligned or not. From the cargo doors, they receive the position of the following components : The Manuel selector valves The Locking shaft The Locking handle and Safety shaft The LGCIUs detect electrical failures only those last three proximity switches, The Locking shaft, The Locking handle, and the Safety shaft. If an LGCIU detects one of these failures, it indicates the NON LOCKED condition for that component. Finally, the LANDING FLAPS INFORMATION. The LGCIUs receives the signals from four flap disconnect proximity switches, and then sends them on to the Slat/Flap Control Computers (SFCCs). The LGCIUs do not monitor failures in the SFCC system though. Gravity Gear extension actions GRAVITY GEAR EXTN .......................................... PULL AND TURN L/G lever...................................................................... DOWN GEAR DOWN indications (if available)...................... CHECK The biggest lesson to take away from this is, read all the checklist before you make an approach so you can go through all the notes, then leave the QRH open on this page ready for the approach so when PF calls for gear down, only the three items can be read and done. max speed with landing gear extended...........280 kts max speed to extend the gear..........................250 kts max speed to retract the gear..........................220 kts Above 260 kts a safety valve automatically cuts off hydraulic supply. Scenario of the week Think about what you would do if you had a 'gear not downlocked' and the gravity extension didnt work. Have a look at the QRH and come up with a plan of how you will organise and manage the situation. There's a lot to consider here and many of the decisions you make could have critical consequences.
