Boca Juniors fired Fernando Gago yesterday, dumping the Argentinian coach after Boca's 2-1 Superclásico loss to River Plate. Gago took over as head coach last October and never recovered from the club's failed run in the Copa Libertadores where they failed to qualify for the group stage.
