It may be kind of a mess but that did not stop Jason & I from watching and reviewing Things Heard & Seen (2021). Then we go all the way back to 1981(special thanks to the randomizer) to review the horror, werewolf classic, The Howling.

While the rest of the country was losing their shirts at the Kentucky Derby we gathered together and put out money where are mouths are - the movies. First Bill Bregoli tells us about the animated Netflix family adventure "The Mitchel;s vs the Machines" with the voices of Abbi Jacobsen, Danny McBride and Maya Rudolph which was produced by the guys who did "The Lego Movie." Neil tells us about the fourth season of "The Handmaid's Tale" which he seems to be liking again and Bill McCuddy tells us about "Tom Clancy's Without Remorse" with Micheal B. Jordan. And then we move on to "Mortal Kombat" which is making money hand over fist at the box-office. There's also the dramedy "Together Together" starring Ed Helms as well as the documentary "Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street." And if that's not enough there's the Amanda Seyfried horror flick "Things Heard & Seen" and Bill M looks back at "Headhunters." We also look at the career of the late Olympia Dukakis. So get yourself in the starting gate and listen in!

Erik Childress and Steve Prokopy look at another ten movies this week to close out April. Steve checks in on a documentary about Alan Ladd Jr. (Laddie: The Man Behind the Movies), Brian Tyree Henry is an introvert locked out of his apartment (The Outside Story) and the tale of an Syrian immigrant waiting for asylum in Scotland (Limbo) while Erik talks about a female arm-wrestling comedy (Golden Arm). The pair also discuss Anson Mount as an egocentric assassin (The Virtuoso), jerky teenagers in Dublin (Here Are The Young Men) and junkie Mila Kunis seeking help from mom Glenn Close (Four Good Days). There are also ghosts in the Hudson Valley with Amanda Seyfried (Things Heard & Seen) and more ghosts in a Brooklyn custody battle (Separation). Then finally they close out the month with the latest film in the Tom Clancy universe with Michael B. “The Mitchells vs. the Machines” is sure to be one of our favorite movies of the year, and you can enjoy the hilarious family comedy now on Netflix. Also this week on Breakfast All Day, Christy, Alonso and Matt review the extremely so-so “Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse,” the horror movie/marital drama “Things Heard & Seen,” and “My Octopus Teacher,” which won best documentary feature at the Academy Awards last weekend.
