“It was a really unique situation because this girl was actually carrying – as a surrogate – the baby for her sister who couldn't have children, so this was like a super important pregnancy. It had to succeed.” - Chief ScottTwenty-five years. Fifty deliveries. Three weeks. Three new babies. Many first responders find that obstetric emergencies are more often studied in the classroom than experienced on the job and, when they do occur, they're usually few and far between. For Scott, however, a three-week period of his career involved the birth of not one, or two, but three babies. Precise timing was imperative for the calls, which ranged from a pregnant woman in cardiac arrest, to a woman experiencing an uncommon pregnancy complication, to a woman giving birth within just two minutes of Scott's arrival. Fortunately, all delivered a happy ending to three very grateful families.Welcome back to season five of Stories From the Road. We're glad you're here! Join host and former paramedic/firefighter Phil Klein as he kicks off the season with returning guest Chief Scott, who has been involved in the delivery of 50 babies – the only statistic he has tracked during his two-and-a-half-decade career. He shares how he's been privileged to keep in touch with the families and the children he helped during those weeks, and he describes the collective joy among first responders who get to share in being a part of life's miracles. For Scott, these are the calls that help him persevere through difficult situations and remind him that what he and his fellow first responders do truly matters. Our seasons are only as good as your stories! Click here to learn more about how your story from the road could be featured in an upcoming episode. Like the sexually-liberated Tiger Queen from her scandalous bestselling 1907 novel Three Weeks, Elinor Glyn was bold, provocative and glamourous, with a magnetism that endeared her to international readers and Hollywood celebrities alike. (She counted Mary Pickford, Gloria Swanson, Rudolph Valentino, and Charlie Chaplin among her personal friends.) After introducing the concept of the steamy “romance novel” to the staid Victorian world, Glyn became a pioneer of the Hollywood movie industry and shaped how romance was, and still is, portrayed on the silver screen. Joining us is Hilary A. Hallett, Director of American Studies at Columbia University and author of Inventing the It Girl: How Elinor Glyn Created the Modern Romance and Conquered Early Hollywood. Nick Kypreos, Gord Stellick and Sam McKee share their reactions to the Auston Matthews injury, if there were signs earlier in the season the forward was dealing with something, and how much of a bigger role will William Nylander get. Then, former NHLer and Coming In Hot Sens Podcast host Jason York (22:03) jumps on to discuss how far away the Ottawa hockey club is to make a return to the playoffs, why the front office forgot to add defence to their roster, and preview the Leafs-Sens matchup. Doug MacLean (41:12) stops by for his weekly hit to chat about how close Steve Yzerman was going to play for the Senators, if there's pressure on Leafs GM Kyle Dubas to make a deal ahead of the trade deadline, and if he thinks Rick Tocchet can change the Vancouver Canucks' season around. Afterward, Hockey Hall of Famer Mike Gartner (1:07:19) joins the guys to break down Nylander's skating skills, why the Leafs' need good goaltending in the post-season, and his involvement with the Hockey Hall of Fame. The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the position of Rogers Sports & Media or any affiliates.

So this market is turning out like I expected, just about three weeks late. Ribeyes and tenderloins and giving ground, even though they are historically high for January they are heading in the right direction… down. Strip Loin and Short Loins are picking up that market pricing moving higher along with grinds. Chucks and rounds seem to be just churning steady right now. Production last week was back to non-holiday totals with 661K head harvested up from the holiday short week of 563K head the week prior. The next big beef holidays are Valentine's day and St Patrick's Day. With this very late movement lower on middle meats the bump for Valentine's day we usually see should be pretty muted. T-minus three weeks until Election Day 2022! Storm and Matt are back to break down the latest GOP debate performances and polling that shows Republicans are in good shape to take back control of both chambers of Congress.
On today's Breitbart News Daily podcast, we are exactly three weeks from Election Day 2022, so it's good time to hear from a lot of the candidates in close races. We play audio that shows a pretty stark contrast between the two sides; just about all the Democrats - from frat boy Tim "Rep. Broseph" Ryan to John "The Bunyon" Fetterwoman - all have the same awful ideas. Even Barack Obama was heckling the Democrats, another sign they're not doing a good job this election cycle. Also, Kanye West can't stop his Jew-bashing, there's more evidence that inflation and recession are here to stay, Xi Jinping is seriously considering invading Taiwan it appears, and more gets covered in the opening. Our guest today is Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R), who talks about the threat of China, the irresponsible gain of function research, the pain American families are facing due to Bidenflation, and why she believes the Republicans are headed for a big win in November.
