This followed unusually widespread and sustained protests in December. Mass testing and quarantining has ended. On Sunday, China lifted international travel restrictions for the first time in three-years. But while the government's numbers on COVID-19 cases and deaths remain low or unavailable, accounts from inside the country indicate the virus is spreading faster than ever. He will discuss how China is struggling to leave behind its "Factory to the World" growth model, and include its hundreds of millions of left-behind migrant workers into a more innovative, consumption-driven economy. The conversation will also focus on how these internal challenges could well further complicate the already troubled relationship between China, the United States, and the world. Dexter Roberts is an award-winning writer and speaker who previously spent more than two decades as China bureau chief and Asia news editor of Bloomberg Businessweek, reporting from all of China's provinces and regions, as well as Taiwan, Mongolia and North Korea. He has launched a China newsletter called "Trade War"; his book The Myth of Chinese Capitalism: the Worker, the Factory and the Future of the World was published in March 2020. On September 15, 2008, the subprime mortgage industry collapsed, Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy, and a 24-year-old Ryan Serhant began his first day in the real estate business. The real estate sector has slowly recovered since then, and Serhant has become one of the most successful brokers in the world. He now manages agents in New York City, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Miami and the Hamptons. Ryan Serhant is recognized as a real estate powerhouse. His team at Nest Seekers International sold over $830 million in real estate last year and was ranked the number one sales team in New York City and the number two sales team in the US, by Wall Street Journal Real Trends. As a real estate expert he is a frequent contributor to 20/20, CNN, CNBC, The Today Show and Bloomberg TV, and is often quoted in The New York Times, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, and Wall Street Journal China. Ryan is best known as the star of Bravo’s two-time Emmy-nominated “Million Dollar Listing New York.” Since Season 1 of Million Dollar Listing, Ryan and his team have sold billions of dollars in real estate on national television. He also happens to be one of my favourite vloggers on YouTube, The vlog gives a funny, inspirational, and behind the scenes look into his entire day from 5 a.m. to midnight juggling work and personal life as the leader of the top sales team in New York. Ryan's new book is Sell It Like Serhant: How to Sell More, Earn More, and Become the Ultimate Sales Machine. It's been described as the blueprint for how to go from sales scrub to sales machine. Serhant provides useful lessons, lively stories, and examples that illustrate how anyone can employ his principles to increase profits and achieve success. Here’s my conversation with Ryan Serhant, author of Sell It Like Serhant, in episode 365 of Informed Choice Radio.
