How do we become scientists of our own business, and hack our way to the model that we want? How do you build a 7-figure business in 6 months, and then create a methodology to help other agents collapse time and do the same?    This is what we wanted to know from our guest. In today’s episode of the Kevin and Fred show, I’m joined by real estate business and marketing coach and creator of The Listings Lab, Jess Lenouvel. With 13 years in real estate (plus a lot more if you’re counting having a mom who’s a Realtor), Jess has a passion for helping agents flatten the steep climb to a 7-figure business.    Jess Lenouvel is a business and marketing real estate coach and creator of The Listings Lab. She has been a Realtor for over 13 years and built a multiple 7-figure business that has sold over $300 million of property in the past 5 years. Now, Jess specializes in helping 6-figure and low 7-figure Realtors double their revenue in the next 12 months without sacrificing lifestyle or freedom, and creating real impact.    We all have a belief around what our business should look like, but the real question is how do we build a methodology around it so that it can work and scale?    By experimenting, hacking and becoming scientists of our own businesses.    Being in business is about putting a puzzle together. When we take the approach of experimenting according to what works for us, instead of following the crowd, we’re more likely to end up with something we actually like.    https://www.facebook.com/groups/thelistingslab Time Stamps    01:03 - How Jess Lenouvel got into real estate  03:35 - Why Jess couldn’t build a sphere the normal way and what she did instead.  07:44 - How Jess built a business on relationships instead of cold selling.  10:09 - The process she went through to turn her business model into a teachable process.  13:29 - The biggest mistake agents make when they are trying to grow their business.  15:02 - Why we need to fall in love with the process of becoming successful.  21:54 - How Jess built a team that allows her to focus on being a visionary.  32:02 - Why understanding psychology is a superpower in this business.  Guest Info   Jess Lenouvel is a business and marketing real estate coach and creator of The Listings Lab. Dr Jess is a board certified internal medicine physician who trained at the University of Louisville. During this time, Dr Jess experienced what many of her patients today are suffering from-anxiety, hormonal imbalances and adrenal dysfunction.  She began to seek out real answers that got to the root cause of disease, not just for herself, but for her patients as well.   After realizing that allopathic medicine was not the perfect fit for chronic disease solutions, Dr Jess trained in the realm of functional medicine, Gerson therapy, ozone and nutrigenomics. “He said, ‘I get it. The mountain’s too steep.’ And I said, ‘No. It’s just the wrong mountain.’” Jess Movold is perhaps best known as the super positive, super uplifting, super kind and empowering run and strength coach at Mile High Run Club and The Fortitude Strength Club in NYC. She's the current face of Runner's World (check her out on the cover!), and is the official "Runner's World Coach." So surely the 3:13 marathoner and 1:29 half marathoner from Missouri always envisioned this über-fit life for herself, right? Not quite. Jess began her career in the fashion industry, and she has stories that rival the ones in The Devil Wears Prada. On this episode, she shares her journey from high fashion to ultramarathons, and it's one that's packed with endearing and hilarious stories along the way — including the best "nothing new on race day" story I've ever heard. Up next: Jess wants to break three hours at the Berlin Marathon. Jess Phoenix is fortunate enough to have parents, who were both FBI agents, that put on bulletproof vests as they went to work everyday. They were great role models, and Jess could see a less conventional career path. Though many people thought Jess, too, would become an FBI agent, she took to geology as she realized it was absolutely amazing and answered the fundamental questions about the world. She's tired of inside jobs, and as a geologist you can make a career out of going to interesting places and keep people safe. She became a Volcanologist as the work is exciting and would save millions of people around the world, who are living near volcanoes and hazard areas. Life is dangerous but worthwhile. Jess worked on 6 continents and Antarctica is on her list to explore. She wants our planet to be healthy, our homes and outdoors to be healthy not for this generation only, but for the next 10 generations that come down the pipeline. Jess has been on the Discovery Channel and the Science Channel as a scientist. She's been in all kinds of science magazines, NASA's magazines, The Radio and CNN. Jess is even running for Congress because the guy she's running against is a climate science denier. Adventures of Jess are wild. She competed in the world's longest horse race which is around 660 miles across Mongolia. It was in this she was chased by a Mongolian biker wanting to assault her. Other times, she’s been chased by these Narco Traffickers of Mexico and she managed to chase them too. Listen on to Jess, every minute in this episode is filled with real life action and drama, giving hair raising moments as she explains her crazy life experiences. In This Episode you’ll learn: The journey and the timeline for Jess Phoenix; where she started and what the path was like and how she ended up at the point where she is today Why and where do most people lose their curiosity to the degree where they don't actually ever get to fully live themselves What would somebody do to identify their values and how could one reinvent the value system to live life with more fulfillment or meaning What does Jess do if she ever gets scared and what's her process of dealing with fear Are there routines or some disciplines to get oneself ready for these hazardous types of environments like the volcanoes What is the greatest lesson that Nature has taught Jess on her journey so far with it, she's been in 6 continents and Antarctica is on her mind What's the overall life's mission for Jess moving forward out into the future How would one who's stuck muster up courage to take risk to step outside the comfort zone Why Jess was chased by Narco traffickers and why she had to chase them back. What is Jess most proud of at this point and what makes her really smile the biggest How big is it important for a scientist of earth to study the self One message of inspiration to listeners   Guest Resources: Jess runs a non-profit.
