Some say it's a practical way to keep your little ones safe in crowded areas, while others think it's slightly reminiscent of dog walking. We'll be exploring both sides of the argument, discussing the pros and cons of child leashes with a dash of humor thrown in for good measure. Whether you think child leashes are ridiculous or your kid is basically Houdini and you need all the help you can get, this video is for you. So, grab your leash (or grab your pitchfork), and join us for a lively discussion on one of the most polarizing parenting topics out there.
Co-parenting can be one of the most difficult parts of navigating a divorce. Depending on how old they are, you may have many years of close co-parenting ahead of you. Your children are observing everything you do. How you treat your former spouse is becoming part of your children's wiring. For most people, there is a period of 1-5 years during a divorce that has the potential to be extremely toxic. It's not easy, but you owe it to your children to provide them with the smoothest transition possible. Andy Heller never set out to become an expert on divorce. Andy had already co-authored two real estate investing books, but had no intention of writing another book until going through his own divorce. Over 6 years, Andy conducted dozens of interviews with field experts, including co-parenting counselors, attorneys, mediators, as well as divorced couples who overcame massive challenges in their own separations. Filled with blunt advice, real-world examples, and 46 practical strategies for better separation, Take the High Road: Divorce with Compassion for Yourself and Your Family provides readers with a well-organized roadmap to a more positive destination, a less-traveled route for navigating a divorce that can heal hearts, prepare them for the future, and nurture their children. Commonly after divorce, one - if not the biggest - complaint when it comes to co-parenting can sound like, "My ex won't do this, or my ex always does that!" Andy Heller recognizes this and focuses his advice specifically on unilateral steps that divorcees can take to improve their co-parenting reality that in no way depends on actions an ex might or might not take in return." Divorce should be viewed as a marathon, not a sprint. Andy aims to move everyone involved through a divorce with compassion and care. Andy's book is a roadmap, not only for the person reading but for their former partner and their children as well. Taxes have always been an issue where Ryan and Dave come from in Pennsylvania. After some digging, we found out just how bad it is. PA courts just ruled that certain schools are severely underfunded after a lengthy suit. We broke down just how much they are and what are some things we, as dads, could do to help fix this injustice in our kid's education. Be sure to subscribe and review the podcast! We want to hear from you guys! Let's Rethink Fatherhood!
In this episode, we explore how our past can dictate how we parent and how we can work to be better fathers by first understanding ourselves. We all have a past that shapes who we are. And for many of us, that past includes absent or difficult relationships. This can make it hard to be the father we want to be. But if we take the time to reflect on who we think we are, we can harness who we want to be. Mike shares a deep dive into his past, and what that tipping was so he can help others become their best selves. We talk about the super bowl matchup and how much woke "culture" can be good and evil. Ways that we dads can use wokeness as a way to prepare our kids better and not be super polarizing.
We talk about how our holidays went, and, thanks to a listener, we talk about what to do to reconnect to our children after a deployment. Great stuff in there if you have a job that keeps you away from your children for long periods.

Gaming has been ingrained in our culture since the 80s. Through that time, gaming has been scrutinized by lawmakers, other gamers, and even parents. A Canadian Federal Case revolving around Epic Games "Fortnite" is going to Class Action court for "being as addicting as cocaine." So, naturally, being avid gamers and having little ones in gaming age, we talk about the lawsuit pending, is gaming really addictive, and what steps we as parents could take to make sure our kids don't overdo it on the screens. https://www.pcgamer.com/class-action-lawsuit-comparing-fortnite-to-cocaine-will-be-allowed-to-proceed/

Hey Fearless Family, There will be no episode after Thanksgiving so we can spend time with our loved ones! Dave O sits down one and one on something he leaked during the State of the Show. Like the title says, I just about gave up on something that meant more to me and would benefit myself and my family for life. I went through everything in the personal development stage I thought was true, I almost said was complete BS. Listen to my story, my thoughts in this unedited, no notes, deep talk about my journey to regaining my persistence and going back on my path.
It's the most wonderful time of the year. NO, not you maxing out your credit cards and Santa taking all the credit. It's our yearly state of the show on Fearless Fathers. We're talking about where we've been (medically and emotionally), where the show is heading, new ways we're branching the podcast out, and much much more. Doing this state of the show is an excellent reminder for all of us that no matter how hard you work at something when life brings a swing down, its imperative to get back up and reset our goals.

Sorry for the replays. Ryan and I have been super out of it medically. Next week should get back on track to getting new episodes out to you, Fearless Fathers. Thank you for your continued support and for spreading the message. Let's Rethink Fatherhood! Today, We go back to our grassroots and talk about something that doesn't get discussed enough. Like the title says, we are talking about the mental and physical effects dads face when they go through miscarrying or stillbirth. This idea came from a great friend of the show who experienced stillbirth and miscarriage. We're done letting these topics stay silent, we need to talk so we all can begin to heal. *WARNING* THIS EPISODE SHOULD NOT BE LISTENED TO WITH YOUNG CHILDREN AROUND.* Harvey Wizard has seemingly done it all. A 63-year-old "retired" to Costa Rica with (not so crazy, but still kinda crazy) wife, a serial entrepreneur, and creator of "The SAT Wizard" program. A program designed to help your child ace the SATs. While we talked SAT prep today, Harvey shared many things dads don't discuss. So Let's F&*King talk about it! Harvey lost his only daughter when she was in her 20s. A child who was ultimately ripped from him by his (as he so lovingly says) "crazy ex-wife 1" "spoiler, this is the reason he "retired to Costa Rica." After not having much of a relationship and trying to rebuild something, she left this Earth too young. That taught Harvey a lot about himself and how to overcome the most tragic losses. Listen super closely as there are a lot of lessons about growth, humility, learning from mistakes (multiple times), and much more. You don't want to miss this crazy, crazy ride. Be sure to check out Harvey's SAT Wizard program at www.harveywizard.com.
It's no surprise on this show that Dave has shared his story about infertility and the time it took for him to become a father. The unending numbness and despair he would never get to be a father. The one thing he always wanted. That's why when Carol Silver asked to be on the show and share her experiences, it was a no-brainer. Carol is a successful professional, but her personal life has no shortage of remarkable moments. From experiencing 9/11 firsthand to beating cancer to her journey through infertility, she is the true embodiment of the word “survivor.” She shares these challenges in hopes of giving others encouragement and inspiration along their own journeys. Carol's most recent passion has been creating and hosting Hollywood Sports Mom, a weekly podcast with special guests covering celebrities, athletes, parenthood, infertility, cancer, karma, and other curveballs in life. This isn't the mindset from a father but gives some amazing insight for husbands to understand their emotions and their spouses' emotions when the unthinkable happens. Carol has gone through multiple trails trying to raise her own little family, and each time she was beaten down she got up stronger and unwilling to quit. We dig into that mindset Carol had on becoming a mom, and although not directly talked about, give us dads some insights and tips to this extreme challenge. Buckle up and get ready cause this ride is a good one. Be sure to follow the Hollywood Sports Mom podcast wherever you get your podcasts (like where you're listening to this one) and over at hollywoodsportsmom.com.
There isn't anything quite like a child's imagination. The wonder, the innocence, the ability to come up with the seemingly crazy. Where does it all go when they inevitably grow up? Well, today, we have Jeff Fajans. He is a PhD in Positive Organizational Psychology with a focus on creativity and also the musician “Mr. BooDaddy” dubbed “Beastie Boys for Babies”. After two weeks off, we are back with an all-new, Fearless Fathers-esq episode for you dads. Body Dysmorphic Disorder affects 1.7% to 2.9% of the general population — about 1 in 50 people. This means that more than 5 million people to nearly 10 million people in the United States alone have BDD. It's possible that BDD may be even more common than this because people with this disorder are often reluctant to reveal their BDD symptoms to others. (International OCD Foundation) Today, Dave and Ryan share our thoughts regarding watching for signs in your children and yourself. Today on the Fearless Fathers Podcast, Dave-O sits down with the father of 2 and personal trainer, Pat Davy. Pat hails from the land of cheese, (no not France, that would be cool) Wisconsin. Pat hosts a Podcast with his daughter, Alora “Beast Mode Kids” which focuses on bridging the gap of communication between parents and their preteens/teens. BMK began as a way for Pat and Alora to grow closer. But we aren't talking all BMK today. Pat agreed to sit down with us and talk about how he became Alora's dad. See, Pat had all intentions of being in the stepdad role, but when Alora was six, he adopted her as his own. We go in-depth with Pat's thoughts, feelings, and fears as he stepped from being content with being a stepdad to being a loving, true dad. Three things we hope you take away from today's episode. When stepping into the parent role from the outside, be receptive, and communicate with your spouse. Fear has a way to control us but uses it to grow. Don't be afraid to fail. No matter if you adopted your child, are a stepparent, or have your natural children, you will never love your kids all the same way. Be sure to check out “Beast Mode Kids Podcast” wherever you can find podcasts. You can find the Apple link here and Spotify here.
