Ridin' with Willy (S1) (E23) During the six months of production of our "Ridin' with Willy Podcast" we happened to interview some very special people with some very special stories. Though these interviews did not fit the light-hearted content we traditionally present... we knew they deserved to be shared. You won't hear our "Ridin' with Willy" theme songs, musical segways and shout outs in this podcast, but rather the plain interviews we recorded that moved us to present them in a more serious light. Trent on Katrina… Trent Bergeron was in 3rd grade when Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and parts of Louisiana. After evacuating and returning to his hometown of Luling he shares the experience he and his family went through. The Good Mama… Working in a Senior Care Center, this single mother is determined to raise her children with love and give them every opportunity to be successful. The Green Monster… Zach is struggling with his alcoholism and talks openly about it. All while on his way to pick up a new Sunday afternoon bottle. Chief Thunderstick… Conrad is the grandson of the first Canadian Indigenous hockey player in the NHL, Fred Sasakamoose. Drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks, he played in 11 games during the 1953-1954 NHL season. He continued his career in the minor leagues until 1960 and famously served to promote Indigenous peoples in Canadian sports. A tournament is still held in his name every year to promote his cause.

The Gucci Incident… Here for her fourth, yes fourth bachelorette party in Nashville and the first since Covid restrictions, Erica recounts a story from another visit. Her friend has left an expensive Gucci bag in a RideShare! What is she willing to pay the driver to return it? A Nurse, A Plumber and a Stylist… Mississippi kids in love and in Nashville. Ridin' with Willy (S1) (E15) Canadian Geese… These ladies from Western Canada have enjoyed their stay in here in Nashville. They've learned that even the older women here dress lightly for warmer weather and that a bachelorette tossing a sex toy on to a Lower Broadway dance floor didn't shock too many in the crowd. We also learn that Canadian Geese or Cobra Chickens as they are called can serve as security for a local Brewery. Cornell Romance… Just another boy sees girl, girl sees boy college romance with a “Hey let's get together” conversation in front of the Ithaca Beer Company. All My Ex's Live In Nashville… Daniel, Jake and Cody are here from Jackson, Tennessee to unwind… working six jobs between the three of them as landscapers, carpet installer, UPS and a server at Texas Roadhouse. They're not exactly sure where they'll sleep tonight but with a few ex-girlfriends living in Nashville, they have a few options. Flower of Scotland…. A short chat about soccer and Willy's old Scottish friend, Doug McMillian who played and coached professionally. Last week, the show lost the version of the Scottish National Anthem sung to us from the lovely ladies in the “Home to Scotland” segment of episode 14. In a meant to be moment, Martin, originally from the country gives us a fine rendition “Flower of Scotland”. Where's The Country Music?... Keri and Michelle from Roanoke, Virginia had a wonderful time in Nashville… even after a truck ran them off the road on their rental bikes! A trip to Skull's Rainbow Room in Printers Alley and the Black Rabbit on Third Avenue were their favorite spots. Lower Broadway however left them scratching their heads and questioning the lack of late night authentic country music. She's Pretty Though… She doesn't cook or clean but David can take care of that. She does however own two retail clothing stores in Indianapolis and Detroit. The owners of “Good Neighbor” enjoyed the Germantown Rolf and Daughters restaurant but weren't crazy about the Loveless Café Biscuits! Maybe that's a northern thing because we sure do love them here! Willy couldn't remember the name off the top of his head but the Southern Belle Biscuit company could help them out on their next visit!

Natasha Missing Vegas… Natasha has been living in Nashville for about a year. She relocated from Las Vegas for her career and has yet to find any home cooking that beats her grandmother's form Alaska. It seems our restaurants here don't live up to her standards! The Lampies… Lampies is the nickname for the concert lighting crews that travel on tour. These two have worked with Kenny Rogers, Charlie Daniels, Eric Clapton, Earth Wind and Fire, Smokey Robinson, Jewel, Train, Paul McCartney and others… who's the nicest? Who's not so? They'll tell you. Outback Romance… This young couple from Houston, Texas came to Nashville for a Babymoon. He's now a Firefighter. Prior to that he won over the mother of his children at Outback. Working as a busser he made sure his future wife, then a bartender, had plenty of clean glasses and ice. Capitol Bowl Sacramento… One gentleman is a nurse… we can't share too many of those stories for obvious privacy reasons… However his partner is the manager of Capital Bowl in Sacramento, California. There are a couple of stories here for sure! Paula In The Woods (Part 2)… Paula was so entertaining we had to make a two part segment for her stories up in the country. Another strange creature is discovered amongst the deer in the night!

The Dog Chef… Our young culinary student has prepared a meal for his first visit to his new Girlfriend's home. Not for her, but for her dog. This all to ensure his pants leg is not on the K9's diet. Lillie in New York… Catching up with friends on her first adult trip to New York City, Lillie has great time.
