In this episode of Skin in the Game, Saxon Baum sits down with entrepreneur Chad Bronstein to discuss the journey that took him from selling Beanie Babies as a kid to building one of the fastest-growing sports leagues in America.Chad shares how an early obsession with sales and entrepreneurship shaped his career, leading him through the adtech world, multiple successful ventures, and eventually the launch of Real American Beer alongside wrestling icon Hulk Hogan. Along the way, he reflects on the highs and lows of building businesses, raising capital, navigating market downturns, and the lessons that only come from failure. The conversation also dives into the creation of Real American Freestyle (RAF), the professional wrestling league Chad founded after recognizing a major gap in the sport he loved growing up. What started as an idea fueled by his son's involvement in wrestling has quickly grown into a nationally televised league, selling out arenas and creating new opportunities for athletes beyond college and Olympic competition.Beyond the business stories, Chad talks about the importance of surrounding yourself with great people, building strong teams, staying resilient through adversity, and why trust and loyalty are often more valuable than any business strategy.Whether you're an entrepreneur, investor, athlete, or someone pursuing a big vision, this episode is packed with honest lessons on persistence, leadership, and what it really takes to build something that lasts.

In this episode, we explore the nature of grief through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS) with senior trainer Einat Bronstein. Drawing on the work of Francis Weller and other key grief theorists, we reflect on grief not as a problem to solve, but as a deeply human experience that calls for presence, witnessing, and integration. We discuss how cultural expectations and “collective burdens” shape the way grief is experienced, often leading to blocked or frozen processes. From an IFS perspective, grief is understood as a complex, non-linear experience carried by different parts of the internal system, particularly exiles. The conversation explores topics like: How IFS differs from stage-based and task-oriented models of grief - such as those of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, John Bowlby, J. William Worden, and Robert NeimeyerWhat happens internally when we experience loss, and the roles of different parts in the grieving processWhy grief may feel stuck, and how Self-led witnessing can allow transformation and healingThe connection between present grief and earlier, unresolved lossesThe role of psychoeducation, ritual, and embodied expression in supporting griefWhat it means to “integrate” a loss within the IFS framework We also reflect on common pitfalls therapists may encounter when working with grief, and the deeper wisdom that can emerge from loss, about love, attachment, and the enduring presence of those we have lost. This episode is an invitation to approach grief with curiosity, compassion, and openness, honoring it as a doorway to connection, meaning, and inner transformation. We are excited to celebrate the launch of IFS Collected Wisdom: Conversations with Experienced Voices in Internal Family Systems a book that brings together voices, reflections, and lived experience from across the IFS community. This book was created from a desire to honor those voices, and to acknowledge that wisdom in IFS doesn't live in one place or one person. It lives in relationship, in experience, and in the field as it evolves. Thank you for being a listener, for being part of this community, and for continuing to explore what becomes possible when Self leads. We hope that IFS Collected Wisdom can become a companion in your IFS journey. Here is a link to the IFS Collected Wisdom book contents.

She brings deep clinical expertise, shaped by years of clinical work and teaching at one of the country's leading integrative medicine centers, alongside a profound respect for the body wisdom and intuition that no textbook can fully capture. As he approached 50, Stanley Bronstein faced a sobering question: where would he be in five years if nothing changed? At nearly 367 pounds, he chose not surgery or shortcuts — but daily walking, nutritional shifts, and a decision to act permanently on what he already knew. What followed was not just weight loss, but the creation of a personal operating system for excellence. In this episode: The turning point that led to a 220+ pound transformation Why “get started again” matters more than motivation The difference between perfection and excellence Why you can't exercise your way out of a poor diet Expanding “intake” beyond food to thoughts and environment The powerful story behind the question: “What would Peggy do?” Because sometimes the next chapter begins not with inspiration — but with a decision you refuse to undo. This week, Josh and Jade review the Oscar-nominated film, If I Had Legs I'd Kick You.The dark comedy is written and directed by Mary Bronstein and stars Rose Byrne in a ferociously committed lead performance, alongside A$AP Rocky, Danielle Macdonald, and Conan O'Brien.

In this special year-end episode of Inside the Network, we're joined by two of the most trusted strategic advisors in cybersecurity - Dino Boukouris, Managing Partner at Altitude Cyber, and Sam Bronstein, Partner at AXOM Partners. Between them, they've worked on billions of dollars in cybersecurity M&A, helped founders navigate exits to the world's largest tech companies, and advised the CEOs behind some of the biggest public and private deals in the industry. In this episode, which also happens to be the 20th episode of Inside the Network, we break down what really happened across the cybersecurity landscape in 2025, from customer buying patterns and budget constraints to the $96B in M&A deal volume. Dino and Sam share insights on what's driving consolidation, how buyers think about valuation and timing, and what defines a hot company in 2026 (hint: it's not just growth). We talk about how mega-deals like Wiz and CyberArk are reshaping competitive dynamics in the industry, why SASE, identity, and security for AI have been the most active M&A themes, and what founders need to understand about building relationships with buyers long before they're ready to exit. Sam and Dino explain that founders who achieve the best outcomes usually build relationships with potential acquirers over many years, and break down why many late-stage founders are likely to choose acquisition over IPO in the coming cycle. We close with tactical advice for founders heading into 2026: how to think about your board and investors, what metrics you'll be judged on, and how to align your capital strategy with your long-term goals. And yes, we also talk about race cars, zero interest rates, outcome-based pricing, and what Palo Alto Networks might buy next.

In this episode of the No Film School Podcast, GG Hawkins speaks with writer-director Mary Bronstein about her searing psychological comedy-drama If I Had Legs, I'd Kick You. The film, starring Rose Byrne, Conan O'Brien, Christian Slater, and A$AP Rocky, explores the emotional breakdown of a woman navigating a mysterious illness in her child, an absentee husband, and a dangerously dependent relationship with her therapist. Premiering at Sundance and earning Rose Byrne a Silver Bear at Berlinale, the film has received critical acclaim for its raw emotional honesty and darkly comedic tone. Mary shares her deeply collaborative process with actors—particularly Byrne—and how performance, not just plot or technique, is the true core of her work. In this episode, No Film School's GG Hawkins and guest Mary Bronstein discuss... Mary's non-traditional journey into directing via acting and method training Why understanding acting is essential for directors The intense six-week collaborative prep process Mary and Rose Byrne underwent to develop the character of Linda How Mary tailors her directing style to unlock emotionally raw, performance-driven cinema The importance of maintaining artistic integrity over commercial conformity Why most screenwriting classes and formatting “rules” are, in Mary's words, “bullshit” The difference between directing for performance versus directing for aesthetics Mary's perspective on the resurgence of a new indie golden age Memorable Quotes: "If your performances are shit, your movie is shit to me." (12:49) "By the time we get to set, there is nothing you could do that would be wrong." (30:34) "My struggle is a creative one, not a commercial one." (42:08) "You don't wait for permission." 1/4: This file introduces the early lives of George Gamow and Fred Hoyle. George Gamow (Georgy Antonovich Gamow) was born in Odessa in March 1904. His father, Anton Gamow, taught Lev Bronstein (later Leon Trotsky). Gamow attended Petrograd University (now St. Petersburg), studying under Alexander Friedmann, who developed solutions to Einstein's general relativity describing universal expansion. After Friedmann's death in 1925, Gamow switched to quantum and nuclear physics, discovering alpha particle decay and quantum tunneling. He went to Niels Bohr's Institute in Copenhagen. Disliking communist intrusion into science, he attempted escaping the Soviet Union via rubber kayak across the Black Sea to Turkey, but storms forced them back. Niels Bohr arranged their escape via the 1933 Solvay conference, eventually reaching George Washington University. Fred Hoyle was born in 1915 in West Yorkshire; his mother played classical music for silent films, and Hoyle learned reading from film subtitles. Donna Adelson Trial: FBI Agents and Audio Expert Unravel Coded Conversations The Trial of Donna Adelson continued with three key witnesses who each added new dimensions to the state's case against the woman prosecutors say orchestrated the murder-for-hire plot that killed law professor Dan Markel. First up was FBI Special Agent Louis Bronstein, who walked jurors through the undercover surveillance operation that captured Charlie Adelson and Katherine Magbanua discussing the fallout from the FBI's infamous “bump.” His testimony gave jurors a behind-the-scenes look at how investigators staged, recorded, and preserved crucial evidence—evidence prosecutors argue shows Donna's family scrambling to contain a conspiracy. Next was forensic audio expert James McElveen, who helped decode the recordings at the heart of the prosecution's case. In a restaurant filled with background noise and distractions, McElveen explained how he enhanced and clarified the conversations so jurors could hear the words prosecutors believe expose the coded language of the Adelson circle—phrases like “gifts,” “cards,” and “cars” that may have carried far more sinister meaning. Finally, FBI Agent Brian Kendall took the stand to present additional surveillance and investigative details. His testimony tied the pieces together, showing how agents tracked movements, analyzed behavior, and built the narrative of a family under pressure. Kendall's account brought the investigation out of the abstract and back into the reality of Donna Adelson's alleged role in holding the scheme together. Together, Bronstein, McElveen, and Kendall delivered a day of testimony that blended surveillance, science, and strategy. For the jury, it was a layered presentation of how investigators say Donna Adelson operated as the mastermind, pulling strings from behind the scenes while her family carried out the plan. #DonnaAdelsonTrial #DanMarkelMurder #TrueCrimeTrial #CourtroomDrama #MurderForHireCase #DonnaAdelson #CharlieAdelson #WiretapEvidence #JusticeForDanMarkel #TrialCoverage Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
