A defense psychiatrist laid out a timeline of missed opportunities today in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial. Dr. Donald Condie, a clinical and forensic psychiatrist focused on psychopharmacology, testified in the case against the Duxbury, Massachusetts woman accused of strangling her three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan — with exercise bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. Clancy faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation. She has pleaded not guilty and is mounting an insanity defense, with attorney Kevin Reddington arguing severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.Condie testified that Clancy's records from Dr. Tufts were noticeably thin on detail. He explained that auditory hallucinations are common in psychosis, and that Clancy had reported hearing voices and experiencing intrusive thoughts — symptoms he said matched the full clinical picture of postpartum psychosis. He flagged one basic failure in her treatment: thyroid problems are known to contribute to postpartum complications, yet no one ever ordered the test to check. When Clancy called the Aspire hotline, she was reportedly told her care level couldn't be escalated without a stated suicide plan. Condie said that despite medication changes and her own efforts to get help, nothing improved.Prosecutors used cross-examination to challenge his qualifications, noting his CV doesn't list specific postpartum experience, and asked whether he'd reviewed the police reports in the case. They also established that Clancy never disclosed the voices to her own treating providers. On redirect, Condie offered an explanation: fear of losing her nursing license, or of losing her children, could have kept her silent. The trial continues in Plymouth Superior Court.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Dr. Donald Condie, a clinical and forensic psychiatrist specializing in psychopharmacology, testified today for the defense in the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy, the Duxbury, Massachusetts mother accused of strangling her three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan — with exercise bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. Clancy faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation. She has pleaded not guilty and is mounting an insanity defense, with attorney Kevin Reddington arguing severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.Condie told jurors he reviewed Clancy's full medical file from Dr. Tufts and found it thin — sparse enough to raise questions about what was actually being tracked. He testified that psychosis patients typically report auditory hallucinations, and that Clancy did describe hearing voices and intrusive thoughts. In his assessment, she exhibited the full symptom profile that precedes postpartum psychosis. He also noted a basic gap in her care: thyroid issues can trigger postpartum complications, yet neither Dr. Tufts nor NP Jollotta ever ordered the blood test that would have ruled it out. When Clancy called the Aspire hotline for help, Condie testified she was told that without a specific suicide plan, her level of care couldn't be increased. Despite medication and repeated attempts to get help, he said, her symptoms never let up.On cross-examination, prosecutors pointed out that Condie's CV lists no direct postpartum experience and pressed him on whether he'd reviewed police reports. They also got him to confirm Clancy never told her own providers she was hearing voices — a point the defense addressed on redirect, when Condie testified she may have stayed quiet out of fear of losing her nursing license or her children. The trial continues in Plymouth Superior Court.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? How should Christians react to news one of our heroes has engaged in an eight year sinful affair with a married woman? How should churches respond when leaders fall? Why do accountability structures fail? How do we speak of grace without minimising harm? What does faithfulness look like for pastors, churches and ordinary believers in moments like this?Philip Yancey's confession of an eight-year adulterous affair has shocked the evangelical world. His writing shaped a generation. His failure has caused deep harm.We begin by hearing from a woman (name withheld) who has walked a similar path — the former wife of a senior ministry leader — as she reflects on betrayal, theology under trauma and the long fallout for families.Keith Condie, is from Anglican Deaconess Ministries' Mental Health and Pastoral Care Institute. Tears, Questions and Hope - When a senior pastor takes their own life? Keith Condie & Trinette StanleyIn the last few months two senior evangelical leaders have taken their own lives. The Archbishop's letter said ‘It is with deep sadness that I write to inform you of the death of a colleague and friend … who took his own life on Tuesday and our hearts are heavy at this time as we come before God with our tears, questions and … hope in the promise of resurrection.'We react with a range of questions: Should I have known? Could I have done more? What do I say to the church? What do I say to the world, but most importantly where is God? Key Takeaways ➥ Having a skilled partner is crucial for business success, as it provides confidence, expertise, and complementary skills. Ryan believes that a partner who brings diverse strengths enhances confidence in addressing growth opportunities and business weaknesses. ➥ What matters most to Ryan in partnerships is the ability of his partner to accomplish tasks. Time invested is less important than the partner's capability to achieve the desired outcomes, fostering mutual trust and confidence in each other's contributions. ➥ In a successful partnership, Ryan emphasizes the importance of upfront conversations to define roles and responsibilities, using a structured approach to outline tasks and expectations before committing to a business venture. That's because partners who share similar goals, regardless of age, tend to collaborate more effectively. About The Guest Ryan Condie focuses on acquiring, growing, and holding online businesses for the long term. He has started 8 businesses where 6 failed and 2 succeeded. Esperanza and Irwin look back on the way Real Estate was bought and sold on eastern Long Island, in the not too distant past. Before the internet, before Zillow, before Redfin, before Real Estate firms with national and world wide presence. As recently as the early 1970's, there were not many more realtors then in the early 1950's, and many were part timers. Sure, there was money to be made in the summer colonies, but those markets were dominated by Lyda Barclay in Southampton, and Condie "Boots" Lamb in East Hampton. But a couple of newcomers arrived, with very different styles and backgrounds. Allan M. Schneider and Tina Fredericks each found lane to make inroads in the eastern Long Island real estate industry, ultimately transforming it entirely.

Charlotte enjoys the deep waters of self-reflection and expression within her own lifelong wrestle with the Divine. At the end of 2022 she decided to set her attention and intention on the relationships she looks after and foster, focusing on those elements that make them nourishing, valuable, and essential. She shares, "I also want to begin focusing specifically on modern Latter Day Saint culture holding up a mirror to the experience both in grace and self-reflection. I hope that as I explore this community that has given me so much, I can challenge it to take steps forward toward the light of a more expansive approach to spirituality and inclusivity in culture and doctrine." To bounce back from major back surgery and become an accomplished climber would be a massive achievement for anyone. But to turn it into an Olympic career? That’s legendary. Americans and the world were treated to history’s first-ever Olympic climbing competition this year. And among the sport’s first athletes was Kyra Condie — one of just four climbers on the U.S.’s pioneer team. Unfortunately, these Olympics were remarkable for more than just climbing’s debut. Condie weighs in on not only being one of America’s first climbing Olympians, but also one of the very few who’ve competed in the devastating wake of a global pandemic (harkening back to the 1920 games and the Spanish flu). But Condie’s story is harrowing — and she has plenty to discuss on how climbing was received and how it may change in Olympics to come.
