Imagine doubling your website traffic just a few months after buying it. It might sound so simple, but the truth is, it requires a strategic approach. Once more, I have invited Ryan Condie to share his expert advice for acquiring a business and growing its traffic. Ryan Condie's primary focus revolves around the acquisition, expansion, and retention of online businesses. With a track record of establishing 8 businesses—of which 2 flourished and 6 encountered setbacks—his experience highlights the dynamic nature of entrepreneurship. Additionally, Ryan's portfolio includes the acquisition of 5 businesses, all of which he diligently nurtures while concurrently fulfilling his role as an M&A advisor at QuietLight Brokerage. We had a conversation about how to partner with someone when buying a business and how to stay partners in business for the long term. What did Ryan buy, and why did he buy a distressed asset? And how did they turn it around to double the traffic in just a few months? We also talked about how he found the deal and became a better business investor. How do I buy larger assets and build a solid online business portfolio? Lastly, Ryan shares his advice for first time business buyers. Are you ready to buy your own online business and have a passive income lifestyle? Then, don't miss this episode. Hit the ‘Play' button and watch it now! Episode Highlights 04:59 Ryan's experience in buying businesses 11:16 Having strong partners by your side 15:04 Partnership that doesn't work out 19:38 Communication is the key to business 21:14 Business valuation and deal structure 26:51 The good and bad revenue 31:56 Ryan's piece of advice when buying a business 44:22 Always focus on one thing at a time. Key Takeaways ➥ Having a skilled partner is crucial for business success, as it provides confidence, expertise, and complementary skills. Ryan believes that a partner who brings diverse strengths enhances confidence in addressing growth opportunities and business weaknesses. ➥ What matters most to Ryan in partnerships is the ability of his partner to accomplish tasks. Time invested is less important than the partner's capability to achieve the desired outcomes, fostering mutual trust and confidence in each other's contributions. ➥ In a successful partnership, Ryan emphasizes the importance of upfront conversations to define roles and responsibilities, using a structured approach to outline tasks and expectations before committing to a business venture. That's because partners who share similar goals, regardless of age, tend to collaborate more effectively. About The Guest Ryan Condie focuses on acquiring, growing, and holding online businesses for the long term. He has started 8 businesses where 6 failed and 2 succeeded. He has also bought 5 businesses and continues to grow these businesses while working as an M&A advisor at QuietLight Brokerage. Esperanza and Irwin look back on the way Real Estate was bought and sold on eastern Long Island, in the not too distant past. Before the internet, before Zillow, before Redfin, before Real Estate firms with national and world wide presence. As recently as the early 1970's, there were not many more realtors then in the early 1950's, and many were part timers. Sure, there was money to be made in the summer colonies, but those markets were dominated by Lyda Barclay in Southampton, and Condie "Boots" Lamb in East Hampton. But a couple of newcomers arrived, with very different styles and backgrounds. Allan M. Schneider and Tina Fredericks each found lane to make inroads in the eastern Long Island real estate industry, ultimately transforming it entirely.

On this episode, Jay and Chris enjoy a conversation with Zac Condie, leader of an off-campus BH Small Group and also one of our Elders. We ask the typical questions about what's going well and what's not. Our conversation led to curriculum, childcare, men's and women's breakout groups, and more.

Gafcon Australia Chair Richard Condie has responded to revisionist critics, labeling them as false teachers who have rejected Biblical and Anglican doctrine, and are responsible for the current Australian church schism. Gafcon has formed an Anglican lifeboat for faithful Christians, the ‘Diocese of the Southern Cross' announced at the big GAFCON Australasia Conference, this week in Canberra. It will be a new ‘safe place for gospel ministry' for ministers and churches who can't work under bishops who are false teachers. Bishop Condie has rejected the Primate of Australia's statement that the new Southern Cross Diocese is not Anglican. Bishop Condie says the Anglican Communion and the Anglican Church in Australia is broken.Bishop Condie has called on the revisionist bishops to return to biblical orthodoxy, and says if they repented, he would be the first to vote for the closing down of the Diocese of the Southern Cross. At the Australian General Synod in May, only ten of Australia's Bishops affirmed that marriage in God's sight is only between a man and a woman. The Archbishop of Sydney Kanishka Raffel said in response the national church is in a precarious position. Revisionist Archbishop of Brisbane Phillip Aspinall, further provoked tensions in his Presidential address, with a blistering attack on evangelicals, described by one of his minister's as hurtful, hypocritical and hateful. ‘A perilous moment.' - That's how the Archbishop of Sydney Kanishka Raffel described the situation that the Anglican Church of Australia is in - after an important vote failed to win support of the nation's bishops at the denomination's National Synod. After being delayed twice due to COVID, the leaders of the Australian Anglican Church gathered for the first time since the marriage plebiscite. There were two statements and three motions to be debated that would have given the church clarity going forward. But whereas it was clear that there was 60% support for orthodox teaching in the Synod, the critical motion was blocked by the House of Bishops. The synod voted by houses - laity, clergy and bishops. In the laity the numbers were 63 to 47 in favourIn the clergy the numbers were 70 to 39 in favour In the house of bishops it was lost by 10 in support to 12 votes against, with two abstentions. Today on The Pastor's Heart we are speaking first to the Archbishop of Sydney Kanishka Raffel and then to the the Gafcon Australia Bishop RIchard Condie of Tasmania and Rev Jennifer Hercott from Queensland. Power and authority are very dangerous. The recent fall of Brian Houston solidifies this statement and brings significant lessons for Christian leaders everywhere! On the matter, The Chair of the Australian Gospel Coalition Gary Millar brings light to the topic. Dr Millar notes that Brian Houston's actions and the poor response of leaders in his theological space, are telling reminders that power, authority and positions of authority carry with them great risks.Adulation, respect and relentless encouragement are very dangerous things and that leaders need to be accountable to those around us. Dr Millar stressed that we need to keep coming back to the scriptures, returning to the pastoral epistles and reflect carefully on what God asks of those who are in leadership.Co-Director/Founder of the Mental Health & Pastoral Care Institute at Mary Andrews College, Keith Condie, says there's a series of steps that pastors need to take to safeguard actions and protect marriages. —Keith and Sarah's marriage course: http://www.buildingmarriage.com.auThe ‘Press On' course for our own wellbeing that Keith mentions is here https://www.mentalhealthinstitute.org.au/shop/press-onAdvertisment:At Village Church Annandale in the inner west of Sydney we are looking for a full time assistant minister to join our team to work in the area of maturity and ministry.Details are at http://villagechurch.sydney/assistant Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/thepastorsheart)

In this season we revisit some of our best blunderers. And this episode from Keith Condie is a perennial favourite. Keith shares with incredible vulnerability about a mistake that he made over a long period of time, one which had a significant impact on the people he loves the most. He also shares how it was that he realised what was going on.You've probably worked out by now that the magic secret when it comes to failure is the ability to reflect on mistakes and learn. And that's what I do in my work as a Pastoral Supervisor which I do through my business, Generation Leadership. If you are looking for a Pastoral Supervisor to help you reflect on your work and ministry practice, I currently have some openings. So go to my website to find out moreI'd love to work with you and provide a safe space to reflect on what you are currently doing, and what you can learn. Check it out!If you would like to talk to Ed about Pastoral Supervision, visit the website hereOr you can email Ed at edward@generationleadership.com.auI'd love if you would rate and review this podcastAnd thanks for being on the journey on The Blunder Bus!
To bounce back from major back surgery and become an accomplished climber would be a massive achievement for anyone. But to turn it into an Olympic career? That’s legendary. Americans and the world were treated to history’s first-ever Olympic climbing competition this year. And among the sport’s first athletes was Kyra Condie — one of just four climbers on the U.S.’s pioneer team. Unfortunately, these Olympics were remarkable for more than just climbing’s debut. Condie weighs in on not only being one of America’s first climbing Olympians, but also one of the very few who’ve competed in the devastating wake of a global pandemic (harkening back to the 1920 games and the Spanish flu). But Condie’s story is harrowing — and she has plenty to discuss on how climbing was received and how it may change in Olympics to come.
