The crew dives into the primetime Cowboys-Packers tie, from Micah Parsons' borderline sack to LaFleur's clock-management mess and the Packers' WR room still missing a true top option. They debate whether the 4-0 Eagles are contenders or just winning ugly, why the NFC West looks loaded, and who actually tops the AFC after a soft Bills start. "What would make a man pull a gun in a bar over a look?"In this wild and hilarious episode of The Ben and Skin Show, the crew dives into one of the most bizarre Texas stories of the week: a man at the Thirsty Turtle bar in North Richland Hills allegedly fired a gun simply because someone looked at him wrong during a Cowboys-Packers game. KT Turner delivers the scoop with his signature “KT Fun Tweets” flair, sparking a hilarious and heated discussion about bar names, outlaw legends, and the dangers of dirty looks.Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray then shift gears to a topic that hits close to home: Chili's canceling their iconic skillet queso. The new “Southwest Queso” gets dissected ingredient by ingredient, sparking a queso war that's both mouthwatering and hilarious.

On this episode of the Chuck ToddCast, Chuck unpacks the latest government shutdown and the political brinkmanship that created it. He explores how shutdowns—once unthinkable—have become a partisan weapon, wasting money while allowing leaders like Donald Trump to punish opponents and play to their base. With Democrats at risk of shouldering equal or greater blame, Chuck asks whether the public is even paying attention, and what role figures like Russ Vought could play in reshaping government permanently. Beyond the shutdown, the conversation turns to the bigger picture: why voters never saw Trump as an aberration, why 2020 wasn't a full repudiation of 2016, and what Democrats must do to win back Trump voters in 2028. From Harris's struggle to differentiate herself from Biden to Clinton's careful dance with Reagan's legacy, Chuck argues that Democrats may need to admit Trump identified real problems—even as his solutions and behavior, especially with military leaders, remain deeply troubling. Then, Chuck is joined by NewsNation host Leland Vittert, who opens up about his personal journey growing up on the autism spectrum, the struggles his family faced, and the lessons that shaped his outlook on life and journalism. From being misunderstood in school and learning to navigate social cues, to the pivotal role his mother played in holding the family together, Vittert reflects on why he chose to go public with his story and how his experiences inform his new book—a parenting guide told from the child's perspective. He also explores how autism has served as both a challenge and, at times, a superpower in his career and personal life. The conversation widens to America's media landscape, where Vittert argues for a “radical center” approach and a journalism that calls balls and strikes on both sides rather than chasing flashy headlines. He stresses the importance of reviving local news, curating coverage around what matters most, and confronting the biases not only in how stories are told, but in which stories get told at all. This candid discussion is part memoir, part media critique, and a call for greater honesty—both in parenting and in public life. Finally, Chuck presents his ToddCast Top 5 senate races most likely to flip parties, answers listeners' questions in the “Ask Chuck” segment, and recaps a frustrating night at the Cowboys/Packers game. Jerry's final update hit baseball first, with Max Fried and Garrett Crochet set for October starts and David Stearns owning up to a trade deadline flop. The Jets' Miami meltdown took center stage next—turnovers, flags, Glenn's frustration, and Cam Ward's blunt “we ass” summation, with Brandon Tierney saying he now “abhors football.” Michael Irvin blasted the Cowboys-Packers clock fiasco, and Gio's bizarre workout routine closed out the Moment of the Day.
Former NFL lineman Geoff Schwartz and co-host Gabe Goodwin break down the wild Week 4 slate across the NFL. Another week of a ton of football in the books! The Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys rolled a hell of a Sunday Night Football game that ended in a hotly contested tie in Micah Parsons return to Dallas. The Philadelphia Eagles, behind a great first half from Jalen Hurts, remain undefeated after beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baker Mayfield. AJ Brown, while being targeted 9 times, dropped an interesting quote on social media after the game. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs got back to being themselves with the return of Xavier Worthy but the Baltimore Ravens look lost, especially with Lamar Jackson suffering a hamstring injury. If you like your sports with a side of chaos, this one's for you. Norm dives headfirst into the Cowboys–Packers 40–40 overtime tie — a game so bonkers it felt like Madden on rookie mode. Dak Prescott? Nearly flawless. Brian Schottenheimer? Calling plays like he had the cheat codes. The defense? Well… let's just say Green Bay found plenty of daylight. Then it's off the field and onto the greens at the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, where the competition was world-class but the fans were straight-up embarrassing. Yep, we're talking vulgar chants, heckling during swings, and comedian Heather McMahon somehow thinking “F-U Rory” was a good rally cry. Spoiler: it wasn't. It's Cowboys brilliance, Cowboys blunders, and a Ryder Cup that turned into a case study on why sportsmanship still matters. "How do you process a tie?" That was the first question thrown at Jerry Jones after a wild Cowboys-Packers showdown that ended in a head-scratching draw. In this episode of The Ben and Skin Show, Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray dive deep into the chaos, comedy, and controversy surrounding the game—and trust us, it's a ride. From Jerry Jones' cryptic comments about Micah Parsons (“He wasn't indispensable”) to the clock operator reveal that had everyone wondering if Jerry Jr. was secretly running the show, this episode is packed with unforgettable moments. KT drops the money clip that sets the tone, and the crew dissects Jerry's bizarre logic, his media spin, and the implications of his comments on team chemistry.
John Lopez & Reggie Adetula hit QOTD following SNF's 40-40 tie between the Cowboys & Packers.
As the Packers are coming off their worst offensive line performance of all-time, the Packers have a big game Sunday night in Dallas, but our offensive line is currently in shambles with starting LG Aaron Banks out again meaning Jordan Morgan will be out there, and at RT Zach Tom is out for this game and our primary backup RT Anthony Belton is also out for this game, leaving third string RT Darrian Kinnard to take his place. This was supposed to be a bounce back game, but with these amounts of injuries on our offensive line I'm concerned. But it's not just us the Cowboys will be without two preferred starting offensiven lineman and WR Ceedee Lamb which potentially balances things out. This game might not be your typical Cowboys-Packers slugfest, but will in my opinion be a very close game.
Zach and Bryan begin their preview of Cowboys-Packers. They also discuss the latest on what to do with Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland.
