This story unfolds a suspenseful narrative centered around a horse named Spartacus and a young girl named Emily. The story explores themes of love, betrayal, and the haunting presence of the past as characters navigate their relationships and confront the consequences of their actions. The investigation into Emily's tragic fate reveals deep emotional connections and the impact of loss, culminating in a ghostly encounter that challenges the boundaries between life and death. In the quiet corners of a world where love intertwines with mystery, the story of Spartacus unfolds—a tale that dances between the realms of life and the echoes of the past. As the morning mist settles, Emily, a freckle-faced girl, finds herself entangled in a web of emotions, where love, betrayal, and the spectral presence of a beloved horse named Spartacus weave a narrative that captivates the soul. The Unyielding Spirit of Spartacus: Spartacus, a five-year-old chestnut stallion, stands as a symbol of untamed freedom and raw power. With fire in his eyes and steel springs in his legs, he acknowledges no master but Emily. Their bond transcends the ordinary, a testament to the unspoken language between a girl and her horse. Yet, beneath the surface, a storm brews—a storm that will test the limits of love and loyalty.A Love Unspoken: Emily's heart beats for Frank, a man whose intentions remain shrouded in ambiguity. As the narrative unfolds, the delicate threads of love and deception intertwine, leaving Emily vulnerable to the whims of fate. Her love for Frank is unwavering, yet the shadows of doubt cast a pall over their relationship. In a world where words remain unspoken, the heart's desires become a silent plea for understanding. The Ghosts of the Past: As the story reaches its crescendo, the specter of Emily's love haunts the living. Frank, tormented by visions of Emily riding Spartacus, grapples with the weight of his actions. The line between reality and illusion blurs, leaving him to confront the ghosts of his past. In a world where love transcends the boundaries of life and death, the echoes of Emily's presence linger—a reminder that true love never truly fades. The tale of Spartacus is a poignant reminder of the complexities of love and the enduring power of the human spirit. As the curtain falls on this narrative, we are left to ponder the mysteries of the heart and the unyielding bonds that connect us to those we hold dear. In the end, love, like Spartacus, remains untamed—a force that defies the constraints of time and space.Subscribe Now: Join us on this journey of love, mystery, and the unbreakable bonds that define our existence. No radio show opening is more memorable for many fans than the one heard on Inner Sanctum Mysteries. This disturbing simple salvo led people into thirty minutes of suspense and horror sprinkled with puns from a creepy host, all of which can now be heard again in sparkling audio quality from Radio Archives.Inner Sanctum Mysteries was the brainchild of producer Himan Brown, inspired by the unsettling creaking door in the basement of a studio where he once worked. Brown took that inspiration and built around it a formula that lived on beyond the show itself. Listeners tuned in every week to hear that door open and be welcomed by the sinister, yet often humorous host to join him in a chair near the fire inside the Inner Sanctum for a story sure to chill them to the bone.Stories on Inner Sanctum Mysteries originally included both classic and original tales, the new stories taking center stage as the show continued. With writers like pulp scribes Emile Tepperman and Robert Newman, as well as Robert Sloan, Milton Lewis, and others, it is little surprise that Inner Sanctum is still beloved by fans today. Utilizing numerous clichés and literary devices, Inner Sanctum Mysteries carried listeners into the heart of horror, a liberal dose of camp often thrown in. Using voices ranging from star Boris Karloff to a veteran crew of New York radio actors, Inner Sanctum set the standard for horror programs both on radio and even inspired decades of horror hosts on television.Inner Sanctum Mysteries features some of the best of fright, terror, and fantastic storytelling old time radio has to offer!YOUTUBE TIME STAMPS...00:00:00.000 = INTRODUCTION00:01:54.794 = Next Time I Live (August 30, 1948)00:27:29.411 = Death Rides a Riptide (September 06, 1948)00:52:21.294 = Hangman's Island (September 20, 1948)01:16:43.133 = Murder By Prophecy (September 27, 1948)01:41:32.277 = Death Of A Doll (October 18, 1948)02:06:33.436 = Front Page Murder (November 08, 1948)02:32:15.147 = Death Watch In Boston (November 15, 1948)02:58:41.103 = Cause Of Death (December 06, 1948)03:22:55.957 = Murder Faces East (December 13, 1948)03:46:22.015 = Between Two Worlds (December 20, 1948)04:10:22.335 = Fearful Voyage (January 03, 1949)04:35:42.567 = Murder Comes To Life (January 10, 1949)SOURCES AND ESSENTIAL WEB LINKS…This episode is sponsored by http://RadioArchives.comWeird Darkness Retro Radio theme by Storyblocks.= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = ="I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness." — John 12:46Find out how to escape eternal darkness at https://weirddarkness.com/eternaldarknessWeirdDarkness® - is a registered trademark. Get full-length pulp audiobooks, pulp eBooks, and old-time radio shows ABSOLUTELY FREE FOR IMMEDIATE DOWNLOAD by emailing WeirdDarkness@RadioArchives.com!One of the most popular radio shows in history, “The Shadow” went on the air in August of 1930. "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!" The opening lines of the "Detective Story" program captivated listeners and are instantly recognizable even today. Originally the narrator of the series of macabre tales, the eerie voice known as The Shadow became so popular to listeners that "Detective Story" was soon renamed "The Shadow," and the narrator became the star of the old-time mystery radio series, which ran until 1954. A figure never seen, only heard, the Shadow was an invincible crime fighter. He possessed many gifts which enabled him to overcome any enemy. Besides his tremendous strength, he could defy gravity, speak any language, unravel any code, and become invisible with his famous ability to "cloud men's minds." Along with his team of operatives, the Shadow battled adversaries with chilling names like The Black Master, Kings of Crime, The Five Chameleons, and, of course, The Red Menace. The Shadow's exploits were also avidly followed by readers in The Shadow magazine, which began in 1931 following the huge success of the old-time mystery radio program. The magazine was published by Street & Smith, who had also sponsored the old-time mystery radio program. Over the course of 18 years, Street & Smith published 325 issues of The Shadow, each one containing a novel about the sinister crime fighter. These stories were written by Maxwell Grant, a fictional name created by the publishing company. Although several different people wrote under the pseudonym, Walter B. Gibson wrote most of the stories, 282 in all. Most of the novels published have been reprinted in paperback and The Shadow adventures remain popular today, with Shadow comic books, magazines, toys, games, cds and cassettes of old-time radio shows, and books bringing top dollar among collectors the world over.00:00:00.000 = INTRODUCTION00:01:54.735 = The Ghost Building (January 12, 1941)00:31:29.737 = The Shadow Challenged (January 19, 1941)01:00:32.084 = Nightmare at Gaelsbury (February 02, 1941)01:24:46.816 = The Man Who Lived Twice (February 09, 1941)01:48:01.716 = The Phantom Voyage (February 16, 1941)02:12:49.315 = The Chess Club Murders (February 23, 1941)02:41:44.100 = Death Rides a Broomstick (March 02, 1941)03:09:46.149 = The Ghost Walks Again (March 16, 1941)03:34:30.812 = Death Prowls at Night (March 23, 1941)04:00:26.672 = The Gibbering Thing (September 26, 1943)04:28:51.731 = The Murder Underground (March 09, 1941) – LOW QUALITYSOURCES AND ESSENTIAL WEB LINKS…This episode is sponsored by http://RadioArchives.comWeird Darkness Retro Radio theme by Storyblocks.= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = ="I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness." — John 12:46Find out how to escape eternal darkness at https://weirddarkness.com/eternaldarknessWeirdDarkness® - is a registered trademark. A Broadway Moth, Her Overweight Date, And The Half-Pint GangsterEpisode 412 is an action-packed adventure that begins with the body of a pretty girl on a dark lonely road and includes a policeman killed in the line of duty, more than a thousand shots fired in a showdown with the villains, a couple of attempted jailbreaks, and a double-dose of lethal justice. It's the most wonderful time of the year! There'll be scary ghost stories, and tales of the glories of war criminals from long, long ago! This week's Gaslit Nation tells two stories. One is about the imprisoned Russian mercenary arms trader who enabled the most brutal people in the world for decades only to be freed in a trade for an American basketball player and released to his homeland to likely help carry out logistics in an imperial war. The other story is about a hammer-wielding maniac and his girlfriend – a “nudist activist” imprisoned for child abuse who roamed the US drugging people while her siblings immersed themselves in sex cults, artificial intelligence and the occult, with one of them single-handedly reviving the Freemasons of San Francisco before going on to work for the Trump and Biden administrations. This is because life in America is fine and normal, and everything is normal and going to plan, and we should not be at all alarmed because clearly our institutions have got it under control! Anyway, this episode of Gaslit Nation – a deep dive into war criminal Viktor Bout and then into Paul Pelosi attacker Dennis DePape and his girlfriend, Gypsy Taub, and her family – is a series of strange tales to share around the fire this holiday season. That's because we are living in a real-life scifi dystopia. Might as well record it before Elon Musk inserts a chip in our brains and replaces it with his own! For our weekly bonus episode, available to Gaslit Nation subscribers at the Truth-Teller level or higher, we discuss crypto and attacks on democracy, book banning, Jack Smith's backstory, the Hunter Biden laptop fiasco, the MeToo backlash, and more. If you are a subscriber at the Democracy Defender level or higher, stay tuned because you are invited to a special live taping of Gaslit Nation on January 24! Details to come. Thank you to everyone who subscribes to our podcast and keeps it going. We know economic times are tough and we very much appreciate your support – we could not make this show without you! Happy last day of November friends. Cutting it close this month but the holiday caused a bit of a back up for Filmed Obscura. It was Justin mostly; Chris is innocent because he showed up ready to slay it...and he was on fire! With that fire came a hot Spaghetti Western for the turkey season. The boys watched Lee Van Cleef own the screen in Death Rides a Horse. As you will hear, it's one of the better efforts in the post Sergio Leone western craze. There may not be The Man with No Name but it's a solid western with one of the best opening sequences out there. So don't delay! Grab that whiskey and get the show on the road. Full disclosure: there may be tangents as well. Enjoy! We are on social media! Our horse does not :(Filmed Obscura: @FilmedObscura on TwitterJustin: @rustyman_51 on Twitter and IGChris: @OldTerrifier on TwitterTheme song composed by artist Zagi2 courtesy of Freesound.org. :)

When World War I began, multiple German ships were in foreign waters. The story of the last German squadron at large, Admiral Von Spee's East Asia Squadron, is an epic drama on the high seas...but also shows how culture can change the tide of history.Maps, Images, Sources: https://www.unknownsoldierspodcast.com/Social Media: https://www.facebook.com/unknownsoldierspodcasthttps://twitter.com/unksoldierspodMusic: 100 Seconds by Punch Deck | https://soundcloud.com/punch-deckMusic promoted by https://www.free-stock-music.comCreative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported Licensehttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/deed.en_US
