May 19, 2026 Hour 1. Wemby was amazing as Game One in the Western Conference Finals. Spurs top OKC in Double OT. Montreal wins in OT to take down Buffalo in Game Seven! What is the unluckiest city in sports? The Starting Five.
Game 1 of the WCF was an instant classic as the young guns from Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs went to DOUBLE OT. The Prophets break down why SA almost let OKC steal Game 1 — and why OKC can't afford to let those late-game mistakes linger through the series. Kev and Rashad debate whether the Thunder's depth or the Spurs' poise will decide the West, and why the Prophets believe San Antonio absolutely could not let that opportunity slip away. We also discuss the end of the road for the Minnesota Timberwolves. What move keeps them from falling behind both OKC and SA moving forward? Is another star needed, or is internal growth enough? Then we head East after the Detroit Pistons fall in 7 to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Kev explains why he wants drastic changes despite Detroit's breakthrough season, while Rashad questions whether patience is the smarter play. Finally, it's time for the ECF preview as the New York Knicks battle the Cavs. Shad rides with Cleveland while Kev backs New York. Is Karl-Anthony Towns the true key to the Knicks making the Finals? And can Cleveland's “big 4” actually play well enough together to win four games against a physical Knicks squad?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/preach-kev-preach-w-rashad--2977392/support.

In the latest episode of Small Market Bias, host Paul Garcia is joined by guest Collin Reid, where they discussed the following topics: (02:20) Double overtime was needed to decide a winner between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with an incredible 41 points, 24 rebounds, and 3 blocks, as the Spurs defeated OKC minus their other All-Star, De'Aaron Fox. (09:18) Looking at how Wemby was too much for the Thunder defense inside the paint, and how he got help on offense from Dylan Harper, Stephon Castle, Devin Vassell, Julian Champagnie, and Keldon Johnson. (18:09) The Spurs' defense remained elite, limiting the opportunities for the Thunder from the paint, and daring OKC to beat them from beyond the arc. (28:32) Looking ahead to Game 2 on Wednesday, to see what adjustments the Thunder can make to try to limit Wemby's impact inside. "O-Dog" Jeff O'Neill filling in for Ray Ferraro to discuss how Ottawa and Carolina delivered a double-OT thriller in Game 2 that’s being overshadowed by a bizarre series of events. An OT goal overturned on a questionable offside call, a dramatic penalty shot save and a redemtion of sorts on the eventual winner; the Sens are 0–10 all-time when going down 0–2 in a series, though there’s confidence they’ll respond at home after Ullmark’s stellar outing. In Edmonton, the Oilers won Game 1 over Anaheim with Leon Draisaitl and Jason Dickinson returing from injury, Dickinson and Kasperi Kapanen each scored twice and Connor Ingram stepped up with a solid effort and key late save. The Oilers managed their first win of the season without a Connor McDavid point, reinforcing the idea that contenders need multiple paths to win. Philadelphia seized control in Pittsburgh with a 2–0 series lead, mixing it up physically—including getting under Sidney Crosby’s skin—while Dallas evened things with Minnesota behind a strong Jake Oettinger performance despite missing Roope Hintz. Looking ahead, Montreal aims to build on a statement Game 1 vs. Tampa Bay, highlighted by Juraj Slafkovský’s hat trick and growing into a key complementary power presence alongside Caufield, Suzuki, and Demidov, while Buffalo looks to carry momentum from a stunning four-goal third-period comeback against Boston—but will need a far better start against a structured Bruins team.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The playoff pressure is already building after a wild night across the NHL.We start with the overtime chaos between the Ottawa Senators and Carolina Hurricanes — is a loss like that extra deflating, and how do the Senators respond after a crushing Double OT finish?Out west, the Dallas Stars bounced back in a big way to split the series with the Minnesota Wild, with Wyatt Johnston stepping into the spotlight and Jake Oettinger delivering. We'll also preview tonight's biggest Game 2 matchups — which team needs a win the most, and who is best built to climb back from a 0-2 series deficit?Plus, Jason Gregor joins for The All 32 to break down the Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks matchup. Was that the Ducks' best shot at stealing momentum? What surprised us most, and how important was the depth scoring? And while the stats weren't perfect, did Connor Ingram deliver the saves that mattered?
A little extra coffee is necessary this morning, Canes take a 2-0 series lead on the Sens, missed opportunities for Ottawa, crazy OT and goal called back, and positives coming back home for the Sens.

Evan and Tiki try to “breathe” after an insane double-overtime Knicks win at MSG that almost turned into an all-day referee meltdown. They break down Mikal Bridges' brutal night (and the massive corner three), why Knicks fans are suddenly saying “we don't need Giannis,” and the real takeaway: Mitchell Robinson looking like a one-man defensive cheat code against Jokic and Jamal Murray. Plus, trade deadline talk with the latest buzz, the Knicks' minor money move, what the buyout market could look like, and calls on Brunson's clutch DNA and a wild Draymond-to-NY idea. Then the hour takes a hard turn to hockey as the Rangers ship Artemi “Breadman” Panarin to the Kings, sending Sean into full Fan Focus fury about Drury, the direction of the franchise, and why this “retool” feels like a wrecking ball. Also: an unexpected debate on the worst U.S. president of all time.
