The end of India's fond hopes of a strategic alliance came not with a bang, but with a whimper: the Pentagon announcement, right in the middle of the G7 conclave in France, that the US has reverted its Indo-Pacific Command to the “Pacific Command”, which had been the name before Trump changed it in 2018.What this means is clear: the US has turned its back on the Indian Ocean, on India, and on the vaunted “strategic partnership” that Indian policymakers had long assumed would be a corollary of that presumed bedrock of Indo-US relations: the mutual need to contain a rampaging China.Coming on top of the remarkable cavalierness about the murders of three Indian merchant-navy sailors, and numerous other slights, we see a pattern of indifference at best, or disdain at worst. The US is signalling that they don't need India. India, in other words, has no leverage. I am not amazed, to be honest: I wrote in 2023 that in an era of relative decline, it made sense for the US to downgrade its aspirations from sole hyperpower to first among equals: that is, a “G2 condominium” with China. This is, in principle, the same as the Vatican-brokered Treaty of Torsedillas in 1494 that divided the world into Portuguese and a Spanish spheres of influence. Interestingly, that didn't end up well for either party, but we shall let that pass. Let us connect the dots: there is a ‘Donroe Doctrine' whereby the US is asserting its hegemony in the Americas, its sphere of influence. Trump has ejected China from Venezuela, and is in the process of kicking them out of the Panama Canal zone; although the Pacific-to-Atlantic railway project in the Brazilian rainforest, and its terminus, the deep-water Port Chancay in Peru, remain.The disastrous Trump foray into Iran was predicated on denying China easy access to that country's hydrocarbons. But the MoU after 100+ days of war suggests that the US has received a bloody nose, and is withdrawing, retired hurt. The shrinking of ambitions away from the Indian Ocean as in the reversion to the ‘Pacific Command' suggests that the US is ceding the continent, including West Asia, to China.America-watchers have noticed this strange attitude to Asia before. Evan A. Feigenbaum, a former advisor to US Secretaries of State, wrote about this in 2011:For Washington, the problem is at once intellectual, strategic, and bureaucratic. Intellectually, the United States still has three separate foreign policies in Asia—one for East Asia, another for South Asia, and a third for Central Asia (which it scarcely regards as a part of Asia at all). As Asia reintegrates, then, the United States is too often stuck in an outdated mode of thinking ...Asia is being reborn, and remade. Yet, the United States is badly prepared for this momentous rebirth, which is at once stitching Asia back together and making the United States less relevant in each of Asia's constituent parts. Asians are, in various ways, passing America by, restoring ancient ties and repairing long-broken strategic and economic links.Well, this is also the end of the “pivot to Asia”, even though it was probably half-hearted at the best of times. Then-POTUS Obama started using the term in 2011, but was himself guilty of ‘awarding' “South Asia” to Chinese overlordship on a visit to that country. Now that the US is dumping its European allies, it should not be surprising, in view of the ‘Fortress America' tone of the National Security Strategy of 2025, that India is also being thrown under the bus.A US official, Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau said this bluntly in Delhi at the Raisina Dialog 2026: India should understand that we're not going to make the same mistakes with India that we made with China 20 years ago in terms of saying oh you know we're going to let you develop all these markets and then the next thing we know you're beating us in a lot of commercial things.Landau is right from a short-term US perspective. The US blundered, presumably taken in by Chinese propaganda, and allowed itself to be stripped of its industrial prowess. They have learned a lesson: squash potential competitors when you can. This is a back-handed compliment: it suggests that the US is aware that India can be a challenger, and make the G2 a G3. India is literally the only power that's large enough to make it to Great Power status: Brazil, South Africa, Nigeria, etc. have too many problems.No incumbent power wants an insurgent power to challenge its hegemony. The so-called “Thucydides Trap” predicts that chances are that they will go to war: a kinetic war or an economic war or both. India is simultaneously facing Thucydides Traps from both the US and China, those G2 buddies. I wrote about this as an “Abhimanyu Syndrome” for India: splendid isolation. I hasten to add that though Abhimanyu died, his side did win convincingly.So it's time for India to be pragmatic, and develop its own self-reliance, both in military power and economic/trade power. The existing G2 are looking for vassals, not allies. The equation between them is also interesting. It is clear that the US is in gentle relative decline; but it does have deep resources, and can survive as a continent sized economy, even if it turns its back on the rest of the world, as it has done several times in its 250-year history. But Trump did kowtow to Xi on his May trip to China: he looked like a supplicant paying tribute to the emperor.China, if you look at its 3000-year-long history, is volatile and unstable. A pattern repeats, again and again: there are periods of prosperity and power under a strong imperial center, followed by collapse and utter chaos. An unwinding of the Chinese empire, much like the implosion of the Soviet empire, is probably only a matter of time.If you look at Indian history, the nation was mostly stable, though its prosperity invited invaders. As far back as 3000 years ago, India was the center of a lucrative Indian Ocean trade, based on Pax Indica in the region. With a deep water navy, a massive manufacturing push, and self-reliance, India can regain its past glory. Military power breeds respect from others. World leaders from Ukraine to Germany, the UK, France, and the U.S., are being caught with drugs of one sort or another. From cocaine to the recent report that Elon Musk, though he denies it, was nearly overdosing on ketamine, adderall, ecstasy and psychedelics during the campaign trail and after. The same has been reported of the WEF at Davos, people obsessed with magic mushrooms and hookers. Beyond the obvious motif of wealthy people splurging on carnal delights, there may be something darker at work, especially when considering that for years there has been speculation that the UN's own Meditation Room was actually a space for channeling sessions with spirits. The lore of Vril, dating to before WWII, involves a psychic energy used by an alien race - in occult lore the Vril were a society contacting aliens and spirits to obtain assistance in technological development. The techno-term “algorithm,” based on Persian mathematics, is itself connected to the Demon Star ALGOL, also known as a Demon's Eye. The first company is run by Sam Altman, whose name means in Hebrew “name of the old God,” and Samael (the Talmudic archangel of seduction, accusation, and destruction) ‘altering-man'; whose recent announcement involves a device called ORB that verifies humans via iris scans and then gives them a WORLD ID / DIGITAL PASSPORT, WORLDCOIN GLOBAL CURRENCY, and UBI or Universal Basic Income; the scan verifies human-carbon, i.e., 666.  The second company is run by Larry Ellison, whose name means in Hebrew “light of my God Yahweh,” or “victory of the son of Elohim.” The third company is named after the seven deadly sins and the poison of the evil eye. PALANTIR was officially established by a guy “obsessed with warding of death... with a young person's blood,” Peter Thiel, whose name means “stone of the valley/below/abyss.” Alongside these technocrats are Yuval Harari, whose name means in Hebrew “streaming from the mountain,” and Elon Musk, whose X-AI, GROK, is named after a fictional martian language that means to “understand deeply,” from Robert Heinlein's ‘Stranger in a Strange Land'; its logo is the planet Saturn, god of time. Elon is also the name of a technologically advanced alien leader on the martian planet in the book ‘Mars: A Technical Tale', written by NASA father Wernher Von Braun. PALANTIR itself is named after palantír from Lord of the Rings (Saturn), a seeing-stone-crystal sphere used for communication and intelligence gathering. It is also where the Eye of Sauron was able to keep his eye on Middle Earth. Thiel is also co-founder of Rivendell 7 and Mithril Capital, both named after LOTR, the latter of which is a mythical elvish city. This is the same Thiel who fueled the rise of JD Vance into the White House, the now VP to POTUS Trump who just signed a deal with PALANTIR and who is assisting in pushing Musk's electric cars. Altman, Ellison, Harari, even Elon Musk “aspirationally,” are Jewish, with questions about Thiel's actual background speculated upon. The same is true for Larry Fink of BLACKROCK, Stephen Schwarzman of BLACKSTONE, Dan Zorella and Avi Yanus of BLACK CUBE, and even the general BLACKBOX AI that nobody seems able to comprehend even if they helped build it - Ellison says it is mostly coming from Israel and Tel Aviv. This is the same black cube that Jews wear and Muslims walk around, with black stone, in their holy city. PALANTIR'S history is peculiar too, not just its name. Peter Thiel started the company officially soon after 911 by using PayPal security algorithms. It was founded in May 2003, the same month and year that the US Information Awareness Office and DARPA renamed their Total Information Awareness program to Terrorism Information Awareness, and a few months before in September Congress pulled funding. The blueprint for this post-911 world, PNAC, was written by William Kristol and Robert Kagan, and the Patriot Act was co-authored by Michael Chertoff, former homeland security head, who helped sell body scanners to airports. All three of these men are jewish. As for PALANTIR, besides Thiel, Alex Karp and Stephen Cohen are major jewish founders alongside Joe Lonsdale and Nathan Gettings, the former of which had one of the least official roles. According to the Electronic Privacy Information Center writing about TIA: “Congress eliminated funding for the controversial project and closed the Pentagon's Information Awareness Office, which had developed TIA. This does not, however, necessarily signal the end of other government data-mining initiatives that are similar to TIA.”What was a DARPA-CIA-NSA-USIAO plan to “track individuals through collecting as much information about them as possible and using computer algorithms and human analysis to detect potential activity,” suddenly became PALANTIR unofficially, even though both the NSA and PALANTIR both ran a PRISM program - a program we learned about from Edward Snowden in June 2013, just 3 months before Katy Perry released her first “dark” album called PRISM. The goal of PRISM was to retrieve data directly from Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, PalTalk, AOL, Skype, YouTube, and Apple. And what is a prism but a three-dimensional solid shape; a polyhedron like a cube; a glass device that breaks down white light.Beyond data acquisition, the goal was techno-super-natural: “understand and even preempt' future action,” wrote the New York Times. The NYT reported that conveniently PALANTIR “secured an estimated $2 million from In-Q-Tel, a venture-capital firm that finances the development of technologies that can help the C.I.A.” That's the same In-Q-Tel where, at one of their conferences, David Petraeus, former CIA director, said that the Internet of PCs and Things “are learning to perceive - to actually sense and respond.” Soon after we saw the emergence of Q-Anon, a Self Organizing Collective Intelligence, which today with AI-models trained on human data, are convincing people they are unlocking the secrets and conspiracies of the universe and becoming prophets. President Trump said today that tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada would go into effect tomorrow. The announcement ended a month-long delay after both U.S. neighbors struck temporary deals to avoid the new tariffs. The President also said he doesn't think a proposed investment deal to secure access to Ukraine's rare earth minerals is dead and---in a social media post--- that the US will QUOTE not put up” with perceived resistance by President Volodymyr Zelensky to end Russia's war with Ukraine. Meanwhile, in London, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced today a coalition of the willing to advance peace following a meeting in London with European and Canadian leaders. The President's comments come as he prepares a speech to Congress tomorrow. It's expected that a large part of his speech will be about his domestic agenda.  And just 11 more days until a possible government shutdown. President Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron met at the White House today about ending Russia's war in Ukraine. The meeting came on the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. The G7 nations held a virtual summit today to discuss ways to end the war….At the meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to President Trump for continued U.S. support. That plea came after the US joined Russia, North Korea, Belarus, and 14 other countries in voting against a UN resolution that condemned the Russian invasion and called for its occupied territory to be returned to Ukraine. In Congress, House leaders are hoping to move fast this week on their blueprint to pass President Trump's agenda to cut taxes, reduce wasteful spending and secure the U.S. border. And reaction and response continues to Elon Musk's email to federal workers asking to QUOTE understand what they got done last week” or face possible termination. CNN reports that managers at the Pentagon, FBI, State, Homeland Security, and Energy Departments all instructed their staff not to reply, while other managers, including at the Department of Health and Human Services, told workers to comply only to later reverse course. Still, others simply told their staff to wait until Monday — and not to reply to the note before then. The email also prompted the group of federal employee unions to expand their lawsuit against Musk's efforts, saying the email didn't comply with federal regulations.
