This week's episode begins with the guys diving into an engaging conversation about the 1990 film adaptation of Dick Tracy, directed by Warren Beatty. They explore the film's unique visual style, which was heavily influenced by the comic strip's vibrant colors and bold designs. The discussion touches on the performances of the cast, particularly Beatty's portrayal of the titular character, as well as the film's reception at the time of its release, both critically and commercially. This nostalgic look back naturally segues into a broader dialogue about the current landscape of streaming services, specifically questioning why these platforms don't simply release their entire libraries of movies and shows for subscribers to binge-watch at their leisure. The guys analyze the various strategies employed by different streaming services, such as staggered releases versus full drops, and the implications these strategies have on viewer engagement and subscription retention. They consider the psychological effects of waiting for episodes to be released weekly, which can create anticipation and discussion among viewers, versus the immediate gratification of binge-watching entire seasons. This leads to an intriguing discussion about the release patterns of serialized shows on platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+, and how these patterns can influence the overall success and cultural impact of a series. As the conversation evolves, Joe skillfully transitions the topic to the gaming world, sharing insights about some new video games that have launched in the past week. He highlights the excitement surrounding these releases, particularly focusing on the newly released downloadable content (DLC) for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, titled The Order of Giants. However, Joe also addresses a significant issue that he and many other players have encountered—a frustrating bug that disrupts gameplay and detracts from the overall experience. This leads to a deeper examination of the common pitfalls in modern gaming, especially concerning the quality assurance processes before a game is released to the public. Following this, Cody chimes in with his own experiences regarding the much-anticipated Borderlands 4. He shares both the exhilarating aspects of the game, such as its engaging storyline and dynamic gameplay mechanics, as well as the numerous bugs and technical issues that have plagued its first week of release. The discussion highlights the challenges developers face in ensuring a smooth launch, especially in a landscape where gamers have high expectations for polished and bug-free experiences. Together, they reflect on the joys and frustrations of gaming in today's rapidly evolving industry, ultimately creating a rich tapestry of conversation that combines nostalgia, current events, and personal anecdotes.Official Website: https://www.comesnaturallypodcast.comOfficial Merchandise: https://shop.spreadshirt.com/comes-naturally-podcast/iTunes: http://tinyurl.com/kqkgackFacebook: http://tinyurl.com/myovgm8Tumblr: http://tinyurl.com/m7a6mg9Twitter: @ComesNaturalPodYouTube: http://tiny.cc/5snxpy
Over All in the GameAll in the Game is de podcast over games voor iedereen. Elke week hoor je minimaal één aflevering van All in the Game. Het komt allemaal aan bod in All in the Game. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This week on Expansion Pass:Edward Varnell and Corey Dirrig dive into the biggest issues facing the big three platform holders—and how each is handling them.PlayStation is still chasing the live-service dragon… but should they be? Over half of their revenue comes from just ten games, none of which they own outright. After Concord flopped, Bungie hit rough waters, and Fairgame$ failed to spark interest, their only real live-service hits are a fading Destiny 2 and the surprise success of Helldivers 2—which they're publishing on Xbox this August. Meanwhile, Xbox has that lane locked down with Minecraft, Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76, Sea of Thieves, and Call of Duty.Xbox, though, still can't get its messaging straight. Mixed signals and rumored clashes with Microsoft leadership have fans frustrated—some even jumping to other platforms that still offer Xbox's games, like Forza Horizon 5, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and the upcoming Gears of War: Reloaded.Nintendo is still in the middle of the Game Key Card mess after the Partner Showcase revealed nearly every new game will use them instead of cartridges. In today's Daily Fix:Battlefield and Call of Duty are set to go head-to-head again this Fall, with Battlefield 6 dropping in October, and Black Ops 7 in November. But the sentiment after a succesful open beta period is that Battlefield will be the one to grab gamers' attention, with former Blizzard president Mike Ybarra saying that Battlefield will 'boot stomp' CoD this year. But Treyarch's Miles Leslie thinks there's room for both, saying the Black Ops 7 dev is trying to shut out the noise and make the best game they can. In other news, Xbox dropped a trailer for the upcoming DLC to Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, titled 'The Order of Giants.' The trailer also revealed a Switch 2 release sometime next year. And finally, we've got a peek at the five immersive worlds of the all-new Universal Epic Universe, and one of its featured attractions – Stardust Racers, all at Universal Orlando Resort.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort, and its new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.

This week on the podcast, hosts Josh and Blake, joined by their friend Darian, are discussing the latest Star Wars news from San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). George Lucas's first Comic-Con appearance since 1976 to promote his upcoming Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, which will feature a vast collection of pop culture artifacts. Our conversation shifts to Star Wars collectibles, including new Hasbro Black Series action figures and the new crowdfunding campaign for a highly-detailed, three-and-three-quarter-inch scale Republic Gunship. The Lucasfilm publishing announcements for upcoming books and comics, such as a Darth Grievous hyperspace story, a prequel novel for the Star Wars Outlaws video game, and a comic series introducing a new "boogeyman" character called the Nightlander. Lastly, we dive into the cancellation of the Acolyte series, debating whether it was due to low viewership or the inflated budget? We also briefly discuss Josh's experience playing the new Indiana Jones and the Great Circle video game and their thoughts on spinoff shows. Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We've got the entire crew in the house once again this week, and all sorts of video games to discuss, so let's get right into the action! John kicks things off with a dive into some of the PS2 era games from Nippon Ichi Software, with a primary focus on the Disgaea series & other games of a similar ilk. After that, Kevin digs out his New 3DS once again and dives into Metroid: Samus Returns, which he is hopeful to see through (but knows deep down that it's unlikely). Finally, Randall wraps things up with a smatter of games that he's been bouncing between lately — the original Luigi's Mansion on GameCube, along with a trio of games he's still been chipping away at. I had to skip RTG this week due to recording conflicts with my guests and summer holidays, but fortunately we have HUNDREDS or bonus podcasts on our Patreon to pull from to make sure you still get your fix. This episode originally aired for our Patreons back in February, and it's my spoiler-free review of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I did tack a short spoiler-cast on at the end, but I'll warn you about 10 times and play music before it starts, so you're safe to listen either way. Enjoy the freebie and we'll be back next week!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
We are back with another great episode. We discuss the glowing reviews of Donkey Kong Bananza and also see what Jon said to get on Nick's bad side. We move on to our main topic of the show and that is us talking about the second half of 2025 in gaming. What does the more defined gaming landscape look like and what games are we excited for? We then move into Jon's review of Machine Game's Indiana Jones and end on a listener email. Thanks for listening! It's just Mox and Gibbs on NAFC this week, tackling everything from America's weird sports moment—UEFA and the Olympics lighting up the States—to the absolute circus of Trump hosting a UFC event at the White House. Mox drops a few thoughts on Andor and they question the state of Star Wars fandom in general—are there any sane fans left, or is it just internet chaos? They also wonder if anyone in Hollywood is still pulling off genuine success stories these days. They speculate on the possibility of a Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2—does Netflix have something real brewing, or are they just mining what's left of the hype? The guys also touch on Game Changer, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Gibbs revisiting the classic Indiana Jones movies with Zea and his daughter (their first watch). Elsewhere, Mox is poking around some Chinese fan fics and picked up Sultan's Game, while Gibbs dives into the foggy horror of The Mist. They wrap it all up with their review of Gerald's Game (2017), where things get unsettling in classic Stephen King fashion. Support us on Patreon!
Whip sounds abound in this episode of Still Loading. I'm joined by TroytlePower of Geek to Geek Media and Thrak from the 3DO Experience to go on a rip-roaring adventure of punching some nazis. And no, this is not a continuation of Punch a Nazi month, but it is kind of a spiritual sequel to it. We are talking about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle this week. The three of us chat about our first experiences with the iconic archeologist, how this game surprised us in ways we weren't expecting, bizarre evangelical media and much more! **Please note this episode was recorded before Microsoft's announcement of massive layoffs so it was not brought up in this episode. Support my work on Patreon (https://patreon.com/realdavejackson) As a lifelong Indiana Jones agnostic, there was no way that MachineGames would make an Indiana Jones game I would care about, right? Right? Well, it certainly looked that way when the first gameplay trailer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle dropped. But then I started hearing my activation phrases start to bounce around- "this is like Hitman", "this is like Dishonored", so I knew I had to give it a try. And boy am I glad that I did! PlayStation is booming, at least depending on how you look at things. On the one hand, Sony's annual financial results are incredibly strong: PlayStation drove more revenue last year than any gaming entity ever has in the entire history of the industry. Meanwhile, PS5 will surpass 80 million units sold soon, and has become the default console for most players this generation. But there's a downside; indeed, Sony is doing all of this damage with one hand tied behind its back, as major exclusive releases have slowed down to a trickle, while the level of behind-the-scenes mismanagement becomes ever-starker. As we were wrapping our episode up, word dropped that first party studio Haven lost its founder and biggest name, Jade Raymond, apparently after a tumultuous testing of Fairgames, boding poorly for the future of that product and team. Maybe this entire initiative was a bad idea, after all? Plus: Death Stranding 2 goes gold, Stellar Blade is coming to PC, rumors percolate about a Grand Theft Auto IV remaster, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! Will Final Fantasy XVII be turn-based? What does the 11th hour saving of Giant Bomb mean for the future of games media? Could Game Pass' undeniable value proposition begin peeling away the Sony hardcore? Who should we cast Obesaga on, so that we can have an overweight cast member for representation's sake? Please keep in mind that our timestamps are approximate, and will often be slightly off due to dynamic ad placement. While the Xbox console brand continues to wane, Microsoft's wise pivot to third party publishing is already paying dividends. According to recent financial reports, Xbox is now PlayStation's single biggest publishing partner, dominating PSN's very own pre-order and pre-load charts on the backs of Forza Horizon 5, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Doom: The Dark Ages, not to mention strong performance across its brands, from Activision Blizzard's Call of Duty to Mojang's Minecraft and beyond. It's weird, to be sure, but predictable, too: These one-time rivals are now intrinsically linked, with both sides benefiting mightily from this new normal. With Halo, Gears, Fable, and virtually everything else Xbox-related no doubt en route to PlayStation 5 as we move forward, how deep and fruitful can this new, unusual relationship become? Plus: Long-in-development China Hero Project darling Lost Soul Aside gets delayed, Borderlands 4 experiences the extremely rare move-up in release date, Electronic Arts lays off hundreds and cancels projects at Respawn, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! Is it high-time for Sony to explore asymmetrical sticks for its controllers? Does PC gaming represent an existential threat to the console space? Should Sony tap Chinese mega-studio Virtuos to revive its old IP? It's been a very busy week in PlayStation Land. For starters, Sucker Punch's long-awaited follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima -- Ghost of Yotei -- has a release date. It'll be coming to PS5 on October 2nd, alongside a non-linear, almost Mega Man-like gameplay structure. We're excited! Let's discuss. Then: Bethesda's Oblivion Remastered has finally arrived, PS5's new firmware memorializes the 30th anniversary celebration once an for all, Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders light up the internet, Star Wars is getting a strategy RPG, and lots of others news, too. Finally: Listener inquiries! How come Sony subsidiary Aniplex isn't publishing Danganronpa-like The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy on PlayStation 5?
