We get close to the end of Kino No Tabi, but will things get any happier? Join us this week as we ponder why Kino treats Hermes like a human by always letting them stay in the bedroom, Harvey Birdman's Godfather reference, and Hermes being gaslit with directions…again! [Episode 10] The Story of Mechanical Dolls: When looking for a place to fix Hermes' speedometer, Kino finds a family with an elderly housekeeper who claims she is a mechanical doll. Soon she realises that nothing in this family is quite as it seems. [Episode 11] Her Journey: When travelling down a river, Kino and Hermes reflect back on a few encounters they have had. Each has a common thread of non-intervention, but with the idea that someone who never intervenes can still change things by observing. Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 93rd episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. In my Fuzzy Feature, I talk about the two-part series finale of "Monk," which turned up in my cataloging efforts this time. In Cross Connections I traced ties through "Monk," "Fringe" and "Moonlighting," and highlighted Golden Thread connections with Larry Clarke and Sharon Lawrence. In my Classic Collection (VHS-to-DVD), cataloging discs 1576 to 1600, I found where I'd appeared on local noon shows promoting community theater, clip posted to VideoFuzzy's Instagram. Also, "Fringe" – both here and in my Current Collection – "Medium" "Monk," "Criminal Minds" "Prison Break" and "NUMB3RS" and animated shows like "American Dad," "Venture Brothers," "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law" and "Tom Goes to the Mayor." I found some racy commercials and talk about the marketing concept of "floym." Plus, music videos (check out Jack Johnson's 2005 "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing" here: https://bit.ly/3WFdK7q) and episodes of "The Twilight Zone." In my Current Collection, I added a BUNCH of material this time including I already mentioned "Fringe" up there, I added seasons 4 and 5 to my collection, plus the entire series of "Moonlighting" and a couple different ties to "Medium" and "Fringe." Plus comments on "Feud: Capote vs. The Swans," "Spider-Man: No Way Home," "The Batman," Alanis Morrisette's recent turn on "Austin City Limits," and more from the new season of "Doctor Who." I close out with a couple unique productions. I explore the Indigo Girls' 1995 VHS release "Watershed: 10 Years of Underground Video" callback to sister podcast "VideoFuzzy the Soundtrack" Ep. 10: Caramia, some of the cool things I found there. Then my hubby, Ralph, and I recently took in the "Wheel of Fortune LIVE" production at Prairie Knights Casino and Lodge with cohosts Bob Goen and Daisy Wang and announcer Cody Dove, who was really leaning into that "Better Call Saul" credit. It was a great time and they put on a fun show. TOP TWELVE: Here's a "Top Twelve" episode guide for people looking for a quick read-in on this blog and podcast effort: https://videofuzzy.libsyn.com/about. Enjoy!

This is going to be a good one, folks. And it doesn't even have a magician! You see this time in the cinematic universe of Touched by an Angel your everyday Y2K family seems to be all smiles and love, but deep inside something sinister is brewing. One night, daughter Evan Rachel Wood decides to climb on her state-of-the-art computing device and do some research about Hawaii so that she could finish her school report. But unfortunately for the Radcliffe family she's not shown the sandy beaches and wonderful people of our 50th state…This leads to a chain reaction of events where father Charlie (played by Harvey Birdman himself Gary Cole) gets fired from his job for looking at porn, his wife declares the Eiffel Tower is wonderful, and their youngest daughter says something weird about bunnies landing on cabbage when their born. But perhaps most sinister of all (not perhaps, definitely the most sinister), Evan Rachel Wood is then targeted by a pedophileI'm not joking when I say that this is one of the best, so you don't wanna miss this episode!
We've reached the end of season 11 and it's time to take a little bit of time to rest a recuperate. From Duckman to Dicktown, this week we’re covering cartoons… for grown-ups. These animated series have an adult sensibility, and they don’t all feature obscenity, graphic violence, or sexual acts… though some do! Shows like The Legend of Vox Machina, Harley Quinn, Hit Monkey, and Invincible have an adult audience clearly or primarily in mind, while others, like Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law or The Tick require a deep well of cultural references that might leave children (and many adults) baffled. We discuss the overall trend, highlight shows past and present we love, and puzzle out how some shows (good and inexplicable) even came to be. Glenn Fleishman with David J. Loehr, John McCoy, Lisa Schmeiser, Moisés Chiullan and Tony Sindelar.

A discussion of the 2000 series, Harvey Birdman.
New CEO of Sebben & Sebben, Judy Ken Sebben (a.k.a Birdgirl) spends episode 4 "We Have The Internet," dealing with the wrath of a sentient building. The new series is a spin-off of Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, which is itself one of many spin offs to Space Ghost Coast to Coast. We spend a little time looking at the history of the Adult Swim universe, but mainly discuss the events of Birdgirl and what our opinions are on the show.
Bird up, it's Bird Girl! Just me? what you don't have kids watching PBS all day? This time Steve and Chris take a look at a sequel series, to a sequel series.. sort of. The successor to Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. Birdgirl follows the titular Birdgirl in her misadventures running a company and fighting crime. This show is wild, so hear Steve and Chris discuss it, in perhaps our shortest show ever! (We still made time for 30 Second Pitches and Crossovers)

Let's dive deep into memory lane this Sunday night with a fresh catch of a show like Sealab 2021. The comedy parody of the Hanna Barbera show Sealab 2020, made into the same format as Harvey Birdman, The Brak Show and Space Ghost Coast to Coast. For those who want a show that keeps them smiling all the way through then you've come to the right place otherwise i would not recommend the Adult Swim line of cartoons meant for the late night viewer. For now let's take our last dive from the weekend and get set for the week ahead!Welcome to the Toon Along!, Join me as I watch, play and review Cartoons, Movies, Video Games and TV Shows from the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s as well as today, all while adding my personal perspective and opinions on the subject, so hop on as we take a ride back to the past for some deep memory driven entertainment on Toon Along! You’re watching:Sealab 2021Season: 4 Episode: 47 "Monkey Banana Raffle" (2005)Check the Podcast out on Social Media for more info, news updates!!-WEBSITE-https://www.toonalong.com-YOUTUBE-https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsBRFFhpaINiVx9q0nBix4A-TWITTER-https://twitter.com/ToonAlong-REDDIT-https://www.reddit.com/user/ToonAlong-FACEBOOK-https://facebook.com/toonalong-i TUNES-https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/toon-along/id1486506690-SPOTIFY-https://open.spotify.com/show/1et6lZL2uoKGuX86vPbbYn-TWITCH-https://www.twitch.tv/toonalong
Friday Night was never the same after Adult Swim came along, and one of the pioneers of those great nights was Space Ghost Coast To Coast. The show came along side a lineup of older Hannah Barbera cartoons dubbed for comedy. Combined with the late night audience of the 90's teenager and college student, this made for a wacky brain tripping ride or a night. Wanting more is what you will get when Harvey Birdman, Sealab 2021 and the Brak Show kick it into gear on Adult Swim. So let's kick back and remember what made late night animation all the buzz in the 90's.Welcome to the Toon Along!, Join me as I watch, play and review Cartoons, Movies, Video Games and TV Shows from the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s as well as today, all while adding my personal perspective and opinions on the subject, so hop on as we take a ride back to the past for some deep memory driven entertainment on Toon Along! You’re watching:Spider-Man UnlimitedSeason: 1 Episode: 11 "One Is The Loneliest Number" (1999)Check the Podcast out on Social Media for more info, news updates!!-YOUTUBE-https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsBRFFhpaINiVx9q0nBix4A-TWITTER-https://twitter.com/ToonAlong-REDDIT-https://www.reddit.com/user/ToonAlong-FACEBOOK-https://facebook.com/toonalong-i TUNES-https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/toon-along/id1486506690-SPOTIFY-https://open.spotify.com/show/1et6lZL2uoKGuX86vPbbYn-TWITCH-https://www.twitch.tv/toonalong

Harvey Birdman is hitting the screen tonight bringing back the Flintstones for an amazingly funny parody. The Adult Swim lineup is filled with these small 10 minute episodes that keep the laughs and momentum going along the lines of "The Brak Show or Robot Chicken" Harvey Birdman slips nicely in the lineup with the comic greatness of a famous Steven Colbert playing Harvey's Boss. So come Toon Along! for this one its a doozy. Hi everyone welcome to my Toon Along! MY LIFE AS A TEENAGE ROBOT creator Rob Renzetti has worked with some of the most legendary names in animation: Genndy Tartakovsky, Craig McCracken, Samurai Jack, Harvey Birdman, the Powerpuff Girls, and some guy named Dexter who had a laboratory. Rob tells Hector that he's lucky to have come up during a new renaissance in TV animation, but with the resume of Rob Renzetti, it's clear that he's a massive talent of his own who never stopped working his cartoon butt off.

Welcome to Episode 17 of Cock Tales Over Cocktails! Chuck and I recorded a different episode 17, but the audio from it was unusable for boring technical reasons. Suffice to say, if you do a podcast of your own and your phone is your sound board, don’t. Forget. Airplane. Mode. All that is to say thank you for your patience. The good news is, that means episode 17 is our absolutely gargantuan episode of DragonCon 2016 coverage! Every year, Chuck and I go to DragonCon in Atlanta, Georgia, along with many other friends, some of whom you know: Katja and Jordan, Chaim and Lara, Peregrine Moore Rumpole, plus 77,000 other fellow geeks and nerds and other celebrants of the finest things in fandom. You may recall we discussed DragonCon in episode 9, but this time we got to do some recording in situ in Atlanta, Georgia, so buckle up while we get a little bitchy about a panel we attended on queer representation in speculative fiction, then we go out and hit the streets to bring you a couple of sexy stories, some of the sounds of DragonCon itself, a conversation with some awesome strangers, and our discovery of a mobile business venture called The Weed Wagon. One of the remarkable things about DragonCon is the almost universality of cosplay at the convention. I love cosplay, even though I’ve only done it a couple of times. I love it for the opportunity it creates for someone to become their true self by adopting a fictional identity. In many ways it reminds me of what I hear when people describe their experience of doing drag. The right outfit becomes a whole new identity, and we all need the chance to be someone else for a while. Even as kids we get a little bit of education in that notion from the old Looney Tunes cartoon, “Bugs’ Bonnets,” in which Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd trade off roles of predator and prey when a theatrical costume company’s delivery truck scatters different hats all over the forest. Every day we get up and put on an identity and wear it to work, or to school, or down to the corner store. Every day we choose who we are to some degree. Most of us choose the same thing so many times we stop realizing it’s a choice, but it is still a choice. When I go to DragonCon, I see people choosing new identities for themselves and finding out what it’s like to be tough, or to be scary, or to be cute, or to be innocent, or to be adventurous. I think that choice of how we represent ourselves and that relationship - and that tension - between the identity we put on for the world and who we are in our heart of hearts is an essential part of the queer experience. Seeing a few thousand other people have that experience, some for the first time, is absolutely magical. (Special shout out to the Harvey Birdman from a couple of episodes back, at a different fandom convention, who we got to see walking around at DragonCon in his Harvey Birdman costume and his, um, legal briefs.) But anyway, enough of my rambling. This week’s music is “Techno Turtle featuring Martin de Boer,” by Levihica, with full attribution in the show notes. And now, without further ado, let’s go to a quiet hotel room somewhere on the periphery of DragonCon. Techno Turtle feat. This week we have the honour of chatting with Goofy himself! We are talking to Bill Farmer who has voiced Goofy and Pluto for the last 29 years! Farmer's very first voice over audition was for Goofy. When he auditioned for the voice, he studied the way the original actor Pinto Colvig performed as Goofy in the 1930s and 1940s cartoons. He studied the hilarious laugh and the distinctive "gawrsh". He inherited the voice of Goofy (as well as Pluto), around the same time Tony Anselmo inherited Donald Duck, and Wayne Allwine and Russi Taylor did likewise for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, respectively. Farmer also played Goofy in A Goofy Movie (1995), its sequel, An Extremely Goofy Movie (2000), the Kingdom Hearts series of video games, Goof Troop (1992), which centered around the character and his son, Mickey Mouse Works (1999), House of Mouse (2001), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (2006). He originated the voice of Horace Horsecollar in Disney's version of The Prince and the Pauper and has played him ever since.[4][5] Farmer also performed additional voices on The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse (1987), and Astro Boy (2004). Other significant characters he has played include Yosemite Sam, Sylvester, and Foghorn Leghorn in the movie Space Jam (1996). He has also done several guest voices, both on TV, including The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and in video games, including the Destroy All Humans! series, Namco's Tales of Symphonia, where he voiced Governor-General Dorr, in Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts series reprising the role of Goofy, Detective Date in the SEGA game Yakuza, Captain Wedgewood and Frill Lizard in Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, many voices on EverQuest II, Cletus Samson, Floyd Sanders, Jeff Meyers and Ryan LaRosa in the video game Dead Rising[6] and Sam and others in the cult classic adventure game Sam & Max Hit the Road. Farmer has also played Secret Squirrel on Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, Stinkie in Casper: A Spirited Beginning and Casper Meets Wendy, Willie Bear in Horton Hears a Who! and Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck in Robot Chicken in both the animated series and its spin-off video game. He also voiced Gaston in one part of Beauty and the Beast, when Gaston eats eggs. As of 2014, he plays Doc, the leader of the title characters in Disney's animated television series The 7D.[5]

Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche are LEGENDS of the voice over world. Between the two, you've heard them in Animaniacs, Ninja Turtles, Jimmy Neutron, The Simpsons, Back at the Barnyard, Justice League, Dexter's Lab, Ultimate Spiderman, Futurama, Looney Tunes, Toucan Sam, Harvey Birdman, Johnny Bravo, as together as PINKY AND THE BRAIN. I love these guys so much and how they play off one another that I had them on together. "Countries of the World" and Orson Welles are GUARANTEED in this episode. I promise it will make you happy on a deep, deep level. Language alert for tiny ears! There's a bit of swearing (when is there NOT on this show?) but lots of fun and hugs, too!
Robert and Quinn chat with Cartoon Network and Adult Swim alum Merrill Hagan. As a writer, producer, and director, Merrill has worked on such awesomeness as “Teen Titans,” “Harvey Birdman,” and “Robot Chicken.” Besides his particular works, Merrill also gives valuable tips and advice for landing a career in entertainment media (not to mention his ideas for a gritty re-boot of “Inspector Gadget”).
