They settle on Las Vegas in Midgard and travel there for the party of the universe. While monitoring for intergalactic signals, Jane Foster and her research assistant Darcy track the party prince and get brought in to his celebrations. As things get more festive Thor falls for Jane and Darcy marries the space travelling Howard the Duck. But with Nick Fury in hospital after being denied entry to the shindig, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Maria Hill, Phil Coulson and Brock Rumlow are unable to stop the spread across the earth and, worrying the planet will be destroyed they call in the biggest gun they have; Captain Marvel. An Angel, a Demon and the Antichrist Listen to this episode on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/episode/3A5LEys2iUL3ucOQHAT7qE Our review of the final episode of Good Omens. Good Omens Episode 6 "The Very Last Day of The Rest of Their Lives" Synopsis. Crowley (David Tennant), Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), Madame Tracy (Miranda Richardson) and Shadwell (Michael McKean) arrive to kill the Antichrist, but instead see The Them face off against the Riders of the apocalypse at the Tadfield military base, as Adam Young (Sam Taylor Buck) reveals that they aren't really anything other than figments of human imagination. Armageddon is slow dismantled as Pepper (Amma Ris) tells War (Mireille Enos) she believes in peace, Brian (Ilan Galkoff) tells Pollution (Lourdes Faberes) he wants a clean world and Wensleydale (Alfie Taylor) tells Famine (Yusuf Gatewood) he just wants a balanced diet (and a good lunchbox). With the riders gone from the Doomsday table Gabriel (Jon Hamm) and Beelzebub (Anna Maxwell Martin) come to find out why war hasn’t started between the hordes of angels and demons - it seems to be something to do with a mix up between the Great Plan and the Ineffable Plan! As they leave to tell their higher and lower powers, Beelzebub gets Satan (Voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch) involved, but his wrath is curtailed by the admonishment by Adam that he, Satan, is not his real father as he’s not been around to bring him up. As Satan slinks back to his fiery depths the world is returned to normal (with just a few tweeks). But Aziraphase and Crowley are kidnapped by the forces of heaven and hell for their betrayal. Thankfully, the final prediction of Agnes Nutter  to choose “thy fayces carefully” saves them both as disguised as one another Crowley relaxes in a nice bath of Holy water and Aziriphale warms himself in hell fire. Back on earth as two angels are dining at the Ritz, so a nightingale sings in Berkeley Square. We finish our latest series of podcasts with our Good Omens Episode 6 review of "The Very Last Day of The Rest of Their Lives". We discuss it all in our spoiler-filled podcast. Our top 5 signs of the apocalypse Each episode we'll go through our top five moments of the episode called the Top 5 "Signs of The Apocalypse". Dark vs light is just one preferential pairs we debate when it comes to our media consumption. Do you like it miserable and edgy like Mr. What and Lord Thunder? Or uplifting and positive like Brian? Oh, and welcome to Jason Cabassi! In This Episode Welcome, Jason Cabassi and Lord Thunder First things first... Jason needs a superhero name Brief history on the Jason/Brian friendship Why Walking Dead fell off the rails Dark vs Light: what are we drawn to? Revisiting the Enneagram Virtual Reality Red Dead Redemption 2, Resident Evil 2 Dark vs Light Interestingly, it's not a conversation we've had a lot on this show... even though it's totally right up our alley. This trio of hosts provides an ideal makeup of individuals falling on both sides of the spectrum and the guys have an insightful conversation about what it is about movies and television with dark thematic elements that draws them in. Brian shares why he prefers lighter, more positive content. Before we make Brian sound like a delicate flower, let's make it clear that we delineate horror and suspense. There are some tvs and movies that have dark themes, but don't go evil... and that's largely where Brian [and myself] draw the line. I'll let you listen to Brian in his own words, but from my own perspective, I'm very sensitive to depressive, obsessive themes and internalize them far too deeply. If you've listened to any of the TRBS shows I've been on, you'll know that I tend to go deep pretty quickly. I'm very introspective and most of my daily activities take place inside my head. At some point I just recognized that dark themes affect me negatively... and stopped consuming them. That perspective really only ever seems to be vocalized in that direction, however. Have you ever heard someone say, "Yeah, I just can't take all the positive vibes?" More often it's the lack of depth or lack of reality in some content we'd consider "light". And light doesn't even have to mean overtly positive, it could just mean like... Arrow versus Walking Dead, right? Arrow is dark in its own right, but it's a different kind of dark from the Walking Dead. Ironically, even Arrow got too dark for me. Remember that time when I quit Arrow Squad? Yeah... Even when we think we can clearly define our overarching preferences, there are still exceptions and limitations depending on peripheral preferences. Maybe we like dark themes, but can't stand a particular actor... meaning we won't watch a film even when it is something we'd otherwise totally enjoy. Or - this happens to me a lot - I won't watch a film that checks all my boxes because it has an actor who I associate with a certain typecast. I feel bad about that (sorta) but... It's we're having salad for dinner one night and I say, "I love cheese! Pile it on!" Then you make pancakes for dinner the next morning and pile it high with blue cheese leftover from the salad the night before. That's not what I meant! Talking about preferences is interesting, and ends up revealing a lot more about ourselves than we realize. Where do you come down on the dark vs light debate? Jason Cabassi started the Walking Dead 'Cast as a hobby 8 years ago and at the time, that's all it was a hobby. He had a great job as a technical writer; it paid well and offered the prestige of writing for great companies such as Apple, but it didn't "light him up." His boss talked him out of quitting twice before the third time took and Jason took his hobby of podcasting and turned it into a fulltime job. We talk about how he made that decision and how it's been since he gave up the corporate life. However, the weather is not all that we talk about on this week's podcast. In the couple weeks since attending Heroes & Villains Fan Fest (HVFF) in San Jose, CA, I've shared a couple small stories about our experience at this con, but Brian made my job super easy this week because now I have the chance to share pictures and tell even more stories about that weekend. Half of what makes conventions so much fun for me, a modestly well-adjusted introvert, are the people I get to share the experience with. Being able to share this experience with Brian, and his wife Sarah, was so much fun; plus we got to hang out with a listener of Arrow Squad and Jason Cabassi, so I hardly thought about the fact that I was sharing air with tens of thousands of people. As a special bonus episode, Under the Comic Covers teams up with our Internet dad, Jason Cabassi of The Walking Dead'Cast, to bring you our second interview with Charlie Adlard, artist of The Walking Dead. We discuss A New Beginning and the intricacies of aging famililar characters, we talk about White Death, the AP edition of All Out War, Grace follows up on The Passenger, his yet to be released sci-fi book, and we find out that he hasn't yet seen the fifth season of AMC's The Walking Dead. It was fantastic to have the opportunity to chat with Charlie again, and we hope you all enjoy the interview. On this episode of Rhodes to Success I interview Jason Cabassi who is the host of the number one fan podcast for AMC's hit TV show The Walking Dead. Jason's show The Walking Dead ‘Cast has 25,000 listeners per episode and this week we pick his brain on how to grow an audience for your podcast, have fun with your show, and get a ton of downloads.   Main Questions Asked -       When did you start podcasting? -       What was your vision for the your Walking Dead ‘Cast show? -       Where does your desire to have an audience come from? -       Did your show start out with segments and sound effects or just a conversation between you and Karen? -       Did you teach yourself postproduction and editing as you went? -       How do you get people to engage? -       What is the reason your show became so popular over the years? -       What is the process of getting featured on iTunes? -       How did you make the celebrity interviews happen? -       How did you get into Walker Stalker Con? -       Talk about your vision for the future and how you see this being a career.   Key Lessons Learned -       The Walking Dead ‘Cast started a few months before The Walking Dead TV show actually aired. -       The show modeled itself of the Jay and Jack Lost podcast, which had segments like show recap and listener feedback.   Engagement, Downloads, and iTunes   -       Jason chose not to address that the show had a small audience in the beginning and acted as though they had a good size audience from the start. -       In the beginning he asked his friends to leave reviews, write and call in to jumpstart engagement. -       Jason has an eye on trying to reach people who might not find the show on iTunes. In the early days he would get involved in message boards and mention the podcast in forums. -       Jason wrote to Apple and said he's the number one Walking Dead podcast and would love to talk about any promotional ideas. Apple wrote back! -       There is no secret to high downloads, it's all about producing great content. -       Jason made friends with other Walking Dead podcasters (rather than avoiding the completion as many might do.) -       He often does collaborations and guests on other shows.   Making Celebrity Interviews Happen -       Jason reached out to all the publicists of the actors on the show in season one in order to get celebrity interviews.  -       New actors are more likely to do interviews than more established actors. -       When you reach out to more people, make sure to tell them who you've already interviewed and use that as leverage. -       Be persistent. If you don't get a response just keep writing back every month and always be positive. -       Publicists generally respect persistence and often really do keep your contact details for a later date.   Preparing for Interviews -       Be prepared for your podcast interviews and think what you would genuinely be curious about if you were just sitting with the person having a drink. -       Write 12-15 questions beforehand and try to keep it conversational and not sound too polished (not sounding like a real person.) -       The questions are as a safety net but let conversations go into other areas -       Let the interviewee speak and don't step on their answers.   Subscribe to the show in iTunes or Stitcher Radio!   The music in today's episode was written by The Danger Os and produced by Nick Palmer.
