Manu Intiraymi appeared as Icheb on 11 episodes of Star Trek Voyager, including the series final "Endgame". He reprised the character in 2015 on the pilot episode for Star Trek: Renegades. In 2017 he returned to Star Trek:Renegades as Jirin, in the two part episode, The Requiem. How did he land the role of Icheb on Star Trek Voyager, what was it like working with Jeri Ryan, and, how did he feel when Icheb was killed on Star Trek Picard? We will also discuss Star Trek Lower Decks. Call (646)668-2433 with your questions. Resistance is Futile.
Star Trek Voyager's Manu Intiraymi played Icheb on the show... When Manu rushed to defend actor Kevin Spacey in 2017, before fully understanding the weight of the accusations - the Star Trek community turned on him. As Manu learned more and apologized - the damage was done. Petitions were created to ban Manu Intiraymi from Star Trek conventions and more, leading to some very dark days. To make matters worse: the actor wasn't brought back to reprise his role on an episode of Star Trek: Picard, and SPOILER ALERT! His character was killed. I wanted to hear Manu's side of things, his take on the state of Star Trek, his feelings on the Picard write off, and more... if you'd like to support Manu, you can follow him on https://twitter.com/ManuIntiraymi or look up and support some of his newer films: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0409430/ If you'd like to support this series and future episodes, please SUBSCRIBE to this channel, or visit http://www.patreon.com/HuggingTheCactus to become a member OR visit http://Uncanceled.com to donate via GoFundMe

Aktuális adásunkban a ’Stardust City Rag’ című epizódról beszélünk.
I answer your questions and get a little bit passionate over us needing to bring back Icheb for Picard or maybe... The Orville???

This Episode of Trek Geeks is Dedicated to the Memory of Eric Cone It quite possibly was the television event that forever changed history! On September 8, 1966 the very first episode of Star Trek was shown on NBC. It was "The Man Trap" and this week the Trek Geeks are ready to discuss the great Salt Vampire of M-113! Bill and Dan will discuss all the interesting and quirky things about this episode. After watching it countless times over the last 40+ years, they certainly have a lot to say about this unique premier episode! Was that REALLY red blood on Spock's forehead? Why does McCoy have a virtual pharmacy in his bedroom? And how does Ole Salty know to speak Swahili to Uhura? And what's with that hand-plant in the Botany Lab? In addition, they ask and discuss if hunting down the creature made this debut episode of Star Trek seem like every other space-themed tv show in the 1960’s where we kill what we don’t understand? Also, in the news, get your microwave popcorn ready because Star Trek Beyond is coming to digital download and DVD soon, past guest Manu Intiraymi's project "The Circuit" has started their Kickstarter fund raising, and Adam Nimoy's "For The Love of Spock" is now available! All this and more on what certainly is NOT the last of it's kind - it's Episode 77 of the Trek Geeks Podcast! THANKS AND GRATITUDE! We can't thank FIVE YEAR MISSION enough. We are truly grateful to them for allowing us to use their music for every episode of Trek Geeks. You really should check them out--they're writing and recording one original song for each episode of the classic Star Trek series from the 1960's. Beam on over to their website at FiveYearMission.net and check out all of their fantastic albums! Manu Intiraymi on Icheb and Renegades. Gene Roddenberry's vision of the future was one of utopian ideals, but over time the stories stretched the boundaries of that idealism and introduced more conflict into a world where everyone seemed to get along. Threats like the Dominion and the Borg challenged our heroes, and often in surprising ways. Voyager grappled with the idea the that not all Borg are bad—or at least deserve a second chance—while DS9 exposed the shadowy world of Section 31. We'll soon be lurking further into those shadows in Star Trek: Renegades, the independent film directed by Tim Russ that stars many familiar faces from Treks past. Renegades also brings a Voyager twist along with it. In this episode of Continuing Mission we're joined by Manu Intiraymi, who fans know as the young Brunali and former Borg drone Icheb on Star Trek: Voyager. Manu talks to us about reprising the role of Icheb in Renegades, as well as how he got the role on Voyager, what it was like working on the set, how he got into acting, and what he has in store for fans in the near future.
