Our Enemies Were Defeated (1) (audio) David Eells – 5/27/26 Saints, our enemies are already defeated, and we enter into and appropriate this promise by faith. Fight every battle like the enemy is conquered. Luk.1:67-75 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; For he hath visited and wrought redemption for his people, 69 And hath raised up a horn (a strength or weapon against enemies) of salvation for us In the house of his servant David (This represents Jesus, and now Jesus in the Man-child David reformers.) 70 (As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old), 71 Salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; (We have already been saved from the wicked enemies because Jesus was cursed for us. Believe and confess this, avoiding willful sin, until it manifests.) 72 To show mercy towards our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant; (It is His covenant to save us from enemies.) 73 The oath which he sware unto Abraham our father, 74 To grant unto us that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies Should serve him without fear, (We were delivered from the hand of the wicked.) 75 In holiness and righteousness before him all our days. (We were given Jesus' holiness and righteousness, which the wicked refuse in their unforgiveness and judgment of Esau's seed.) I know of the natural fulfillment of this text, but the Lord was showing me a spiritual fulfillment too. Zec.12:1-9 The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Thus saith Jehovah, who stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him: 2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem (The Bride) a cup of reeling unto all the peoples round about, and upon Judah also shall it be in the siege against Jerusalem. (The wicked stagger with hatred for the Bride. The Dragon, shown to be Satan in his world body in Revelation 12, has one consuming desire: to devour the Man-child so he can then devour the Woman. Those of his vessels who proclaim to be Christians besiege them, for they are of the Dragon. Just as their forefathers did to Jesus, the prophets, and the saints, they consider themselves to be doing God a favor. I have been amazed since we heard from God years ago of the parallel between the faction in the Church and the faction in the government. The God of the leftist, communist, anarchist, fornicators, etc., shows the same hatred and uses the same slander against the Trump administration. They are always assured by Satan that they will win because they cheat, but they ultimately will lose, for all the evidence of their perversion, theft, lies, etc., is against them, and all will be revealed. Rev.12:11-12 And they overcame him [the Dragon] because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe for the earth and for the sea: because the devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time. (And remember we wrestle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers.) Back to Zec.12:3 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples; all that burden themselves with it shall be sore wounded; and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered together against it. (The wicked hate the Bride for she is a manifestation of all that sinners hate. She is a manifestation of Jesus who came unto His own and His own received Him not.) 4 In that day, saith Jehovah, I will smite every horse with terror, (The horse represents the strength of the beastly flesh that is harnessed to do man's and therefore Satan's will. They are in terror now because they fear that all of their evil is known and will be (and are being) prosecuted. The faction in both camps of the Dragon is launching one last desperate attempt to destroy their enemy, but God has foretold their end. The Red Sea, Sennacherib, Jehoshaphat, the Northern army, is their end.) I will smite… his rider with madness (Even the average lost man sees their insanity. They can't stop telling on themselves that they are communists, anarchists, racists, murderers, fornicators, etc.); and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness. (They will not be able to find a way to defeat us or a way out of their predicament.) 5 And the chieftains of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in Jehovah of hosts their God. 6 In that day will I make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, (Just as David did) on the right hand and on the left; and they of Jerusalem shall yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem. (David conquered unregenerate Jerusalem, which was called Jebus. The Jebusites were the old man of the land, the wicked who had to be removed so it would become Jerusalem, the Bride. It is coming to pass by the grace of our God.) 7 Jehovah also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not magnified above Judah. 8 In that day shall Jehovah defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem (The Bride, according to John in Revelation.): and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of Jehovah before them. (What enemy can win when God is in His people by His Word and Spirit?) 9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. (And so it shall be.) Psa.44:2-8 Thou didst drive out the nations with thy hand; But them thou didst plant: Thou didst afflict the peoples; But them thou didst spread abroad. 3 For they gat not the land in possession by their own sword, Neither did their own arm save them; But thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, Because thou wast favorable unto them. 4 Thou art my King, O God: Command deliverance for Jacob. 5 Through thee will we push down our adversaries: Through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us. 6 For I will not trust in my bow, Neither shall my sword save me. 7 But thou hast saved us from our adversaries, And hast put them to shame that hate us. 8 In God have we made our boast all the day long, And we will give thanks unto thy name for ever. Selah. Rom.8:31-37 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth; 34 who is he that condemneth? (Satan, the Dragon, and his body) It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. (And who is mightier than the prayers of Jesus for us?) 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter. (As the flesh of sheep was sacrificed to bring atonement, so we ourselves must be sacrificed to make us pure before God. The power by which we do this is that of Jesus' sacrifice. He died that we may die to self.) 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. It was said to the Bride, a position that was once forsaken when God's people went into captivity for their sins, but now God is building her again. Isa.54:1-17 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith Jehovah. 2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations; spare not: lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes. 3 For thou shalt spread abroad on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. 4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth; and the reproach of thy widowhood shalt thou remember no more. 5 For thy Maker is thy husband; Jehovah of hosts is his name: and the Holy One of Israel is thy Redeemer; the God of the whole earth shall he be called. 6 For Jehovah hath called thee as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off, saith thy God. 7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee (As it was with Jesus, Who said, “My God, My God, why has thou forsaken me” but then resurrection life came into Him); but with great mercies will I gather thee. 8 In overflowing wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting lovingkindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Jehovah thy Redeemer. 9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me (The waters of the Word killed the wicked and saved Noah); for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah shall no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. 10 For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my lovingkindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, saith Jehovah that hath mercy on thee. 11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will set thy stones in fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. 12 And I will make thy pinnacles of rubies, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy border of precious stones. 13 And all thy children shall be taught of Jehovah; and great shall be the peace of thy children. 14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near thee. 15 Behold, they may gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall because of thee. 16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the fire of coals, and bringeth forth a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness which is of me, saith Jehovah. 1Co.15:57 but thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not vain in the Lord. Deu.20:4 for Jehovah your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. 2Co.11:13-15 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, fashioning themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for even Satan fashioneth himself into an angel of light. 15 It is no great thing therefore if his ministers also fashion themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works. 2Co.4:1-6 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we faint not: 2 but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that perish: 4 in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 Seeing it is God, that said, Light shall shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Even when the reprobates hear this text, they are unmoved. Rom.1:20-2:11 For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse: 21 because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves: 25 for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due. 28 And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful: 32 who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them. Rom.2:1 Wherefore thou art without excuse, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest dost practise the same things. … 5 but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up for thyself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 who will render to every man according to his works: 7 to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life: 8 but unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, shall be wrath and indignation, 9 tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that worketh evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek; 10 but glory and honor and peace to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek: 11 for there is no respect of persons with God. Luk.10:17-20 And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan fallen as lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you. 20 Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. We must take care to fight the demonic enemies. The spiritual enemies that our human enemies have given their lives over to serve. Mar.16:17 And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons... Eph.6:10-18 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. (Let the weak say, I am strong) 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. (If you will not stand now, what about the evil day?) 14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, (We are the righteousness of Christ; we do not have to give in.) 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. (He sends many thoughts into our minds to conquer us, like wrestling with people (the flesh) instead of him. We should have faith in the truth to defend ourselves.) 17 And take the helmet of salvation (And quench the fiery thoughts), and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. (Be filled with the Holy Spirit so you can pray in the Spirit.) These spiritual powers are now under the feet of His Body. Eph.1:17-23 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; 18 having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might 20 which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. (Notice the Lord is the head of the body and He put the enemies under His feet, the lowest member of His body.) Col.2:12-15 having been buried with him in baptism, wherein ye were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, I say, did he make alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses; 14 having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he hath taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross; 15 having despoiled the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. (To triumph means to celebrate the victory.) Luk.10:1 Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself was about to come. ... Luk.17 And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name. (They did not have the Holy Spirit at this time, but they were given the authority of the name of Jesus.) 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan fallen as lightning from heaven. (They were casting down the dominion of Satan.) 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents (demons whose poison is in the head = deception) and scorpions (demons whose poison is in the tail = to make you powerless, respectively), and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you. (Believe and confess this victory efore the enemy.) 20 Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. (These scorpion spirits come to rob you of justification by faith so that you lose the benefits of Jesus' sacrifice and have to start over to recognize the benefits of the crucifixion. Many are crucifying Jesus afresh.) If you have confessed any sins that you know of, which are the only ones that count, He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7-9), then you are justified. Then reconciliation is made, and you are to see Jesus in the mirror by faith because, as Paul said, you don't live anymore; Christ lives in you. Gal.2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ liveth in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me. 2Co.3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit. Then you are to reject the condemnation of the devil. If you see yourself in the mirror after you have confessed all sin, you are beating up “Christ in you” just like the faction does. You are crucifying Him afresh. If you are condemning yourself after you confess your sins honestly, you do not believe Jesus, and you will get no grace to overcome. You are beating Him up in you. If you are in willful sin, confess and forsake it and see Jesus in the mirror. Confess His righteousness and holiness are yours, and you don't live anymore. There is no other way to have power from God to defeat self. When the disciples asked, “What must we do to do the works of God?” Jesus said, “Believe on him who He hath sent” … Eve Brast dreamed of wisdom to resist crucifying Jesus on 8-29-20: What I heard the Lord saying was: “Why do you, My people, crucify me afresh continually? For you are indeed crucifying me afresh.” (According to the dream, it is by helping the evil spirits to crucify Jesus.) I thought this dream was just a personal correction, but when I heard the Spirit say, “My people,” and Lexi's interpretation of M. L.'s tongue, He said, “Why are you, My children, forsaking Me for the world?” I knew this dream was a corporate correction to the body. (When we accept what demons say about us instead of what Christ says about us in His promises, we are giving up ground to the demons, we are crucifying Christ in us.) Here's the dream: I was walking through an old western town along the main dirt road with Jesus. He was to my right, and at first, I was happy to be walking next to him. But then I looked up and saw that the whole left side of His face and head had been severely beaten, and He was all bloody. (The wicked deface Christ to others. He is not like them. We should be a revelation of true Christianity.) He had blood stains on his garments, and He looked like He had been dragged through the dirt. I was horrified to see Him like this, and I felt immense pain for Him. And then I became very angry and indignant and asked Him, “Who did this to you?!” He turned and gestured with an open left hand and arm to a group of followers, who were supposed to be His disciples, about 10 to 20 paces behind us, and I looked back at them. They were clamoring at Him and shaking their fists in anger at Him and also at one another. There was much confusion amongst them. (Those from among God's people who fall away to become slanderers, railers, accusers, and haters of the righteous are these. These are the wicked who crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh and put Him to an open shame, but we are exhorted to hold on to the faith and not help them to kill us. Heb.6:1-12 Wherefore leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let us press on unto perfection; not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 of the teaching of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this will we do, if God permit. 4 For as touching those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7 For the land which hath drunk the rain that cometh oft upon it (The Word), and bringeth forth herbs meet for them for whose sake it is also tilled, receiveth blessing from God: 8 but if it beareth thorns and thistles, it is rejected and nigh unto a curse; whose end is to be burned. 9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak: 10 for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the love which ye showed toward his name, in that ye ministered unto the saints, and still do minister. 11 And we desire that each one of you may show the same diligence unto the fulness of hope even to the end: 12 that ye be not sluggish, but imitators of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Notice the wicked are facing Eve and the Lord. When they accuse you, they are accusing the Lord, as in Mat.25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, even these least, ye did it unto me. (If you accept those spirits' words, you will crucify Christ in you again.) I looked back up at Jesus, and He looked at me with such love in His eyes, but it was mixed with hurt and a questioning look of, “Why did you take part in helping them?” Suddenly, I got the revelation that I had helped these people to drag Jesus through the dirt and crucify Him afresh. I was all at once horrified by this realization, and as I woke up and began to process what I had dreamed. (When do we help the wicked crucify Jesus again? When we accept what their scorpion spirits speak to us of condemnation, accusation, slander, faction, reminding us of our past, instead of believing we were crucified with Christ. Through witchcraft, they send these spirits against the righteous and even those who do not qualify as saints but favor the saints. As the witches are warring against the Trump administration with these lies now, and some are believing them and turning away from truth. Eve asked for prayer from Michael and me. We learned she was believing the condemnation of these spirits, which helps them to crucify Christ in her. So, we reminded her of the good news of grace, and she was cured. We were all forgiven, healed, and delivered from sin.) Luk.11:20-23 But if I by the finger of God cast out demons, then is the kingdom of God come upon you. 21 When the strong man fully armed guardeth his own court, his goods are in peace: (Satan's kingdom) 22 but when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him (Jesus), he taketh from him his whole armor (Notice: Satan has lost; he has no defense against us.) armor wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. (to us) 23 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. (We must be plundering Satan's kingdom by faith, or we will flee from the scorpion demons. (Scattereth here is the Greek word “skorpizo” meaning, “to penetrate and put to flight” as a scorpion or a hornet does with its tail to make you run from it, just as the hornet drove the enemies from the Promised Land.) Examples of Scorpion scattering demons: fear, anxiety, rejection, guilt, shame, unbelief, self-pity, discouragement, depression, fear of man, unforgiveness -Mat.18:34-35, condemnation - 1Jo.3:21-22. Examples of the Hornet scattering: Deu.7:20, Jos.24:12, Rev.21:8). If we are running from the demons, they are taking back the ground behind us, crucifying Christ in us. Then we have to return to faith and start all over, taking back that ground Jesus gave us. Consider the nature of these spirits carefully and how, when you accept them, they conquer your faith and justification, and you cannot stand before the demons. You must war with the Sword of the Spirit and use your faith against these and others, or you will not bear fruit. Pray and ask the Lord to help you discern your thoughts. 2Co.10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh 4 (for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds), 5 casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ; Being subject to God gives us power over the enemy. Jas.4:7 Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you. How can we be subject to God? 1Jn.1:7-9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Jas 5:16 confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. Do you remember an illustration often used in gospel presentations of a picture of a heart-shape with a throne shown in the center? It was used to illustrate how, by default, all people are born with a self-centered focus; a sin nature. The chair in the illustration represents the "throne" in each person's heart from which the ruler of that heart reigns. Each sees themself on that throne directing their ways according to their own desires. "All of us like sheep have gone astray," Isaiah 53:6 says, "each of us has turned to his own way…" And Romans 3:23 states "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." A Christian recognizes Jesus as the rightful ruler of the heart and seated on that throne. Romans 10:9 says "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;" However, though as believers we acknowledge Jesus as Lord of our life, many struggle with yielding to His ultimate authority over all areas of their life. Professing with their mouths, "Jesus is Lord," but still not totally yielding to Christ in their thinking, speech, and actions, their heart remains divided. Perhaps for this reason, many wonder why they do not seem to be growing in spiritual maturity. Thankfully, God addresses this issue in His Word through Paul's writing to the Colossians. Tell me if this makes sense… We live in a world today characterized by a fetishized pornographic addiction to rape. If it were not so, Law & Order: SVU wouldn’t have made it past a single season – let alone, into SYNdication for nearly 30 years…! I loathe Adorno and the CULTural Marxists who SYNthesized (read: weaponized) Marx and Freud to the general detriment of mankind, beginning with the ‘West’. But, he raised some legit points, as often the baddies do. It’s their SOLUTIONS we all need be wary of. For nigh on 100 years, we’ve basked in the jaundiced glow of the Frankfurt School, as legions of university students continue having their minds and spirits poisoned in the name of ‘Progress’. I digress… In Adorno’s “Fetish-character” essay, he states, a fetish is a substitute object of desire.[1] I would submit that in the latent undercurrent of this Nietzschean ‘power-evolving universe’ of today’s America; men and women, by and large, secretly harbor a craven desire for rape. It sounds crazy! Until one considers the popularity of Law & Order: SVU for the last 27 years. America is Kung-Fu LARPing, with each new iteration of the ‘fetish substitute object of desire’ further blurring the lines between fantasy and reality (schizoaffective disorder) as we creep ever closer to the Chaos Magick of bringing these secret desires to life. But, beware; LARPing has consequences.[2] The Epstein Saga has been publicly ongoing for 2+ decades. More than a thousand witnesses have come forward – including dozens who’ve accused Trump (E. Jean Carroll) – and yet, only Epstein and Maxwell have been ‘brought to justice’. Speaking of ‘justice’, Thomas Massie probably said it best:[3] Congress created the Department of Justice, Congress funds the Department of Justice, and Congress is responsible for the oversight of the Department of Justice. When will we see justice? I’ll tell you what I’ve not seen. I’ve not seen any arrests from the revelations in the Epstein Files – over 3 million documents describing horrible things, describing unspeakable things, much of it redacted. Over two dozen people have resigned; CEOS, members of government, worldwide. But, I haven’t seen any arrests or investigations here in the United States, from this Department of Justice. Prince Andrew, Duke of York, who has since been stripped of his royalty, his royal titles, due to his affiliation with Jeffrey Epstein, has been arrested. Peter Mandelson, who previously served as UK’s Ambassador to the United States, resigned in disgrace from United Kingdom’s House of Lords and the Labor Party, and he’s been arrested. Former Prime Minister of Norway Thorbjorn Jagland has been charged. But, we don’t see any charges, arrests, or investigations in the United States. What do we see? We see our FBI Director celebrating in the locker room at the Olympics overseas. It’s fine to be proud of this country. But, we should be proud of this country because we have a system of justice that works. And yet we do not. … We need justice. We want the Department of Justice to get to work, and that’s what they need to do – now. The Trump (45/47) DOJ is unwilling to rat itself out – and so are the other 77+ million co-conspirators… And then there’s the 77 million co-conspirators who voted for Epstein’s best friend Trump as many as three times, knowing he’d been accused of sexual assault by dozens of women, and even after he was found liable for sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll. For 77 million men and women it was not a dealbreaker! He rapes, but he saves. A man named Seligman brings her home, and she begins telling him the story of her life from her earliest sexual memories through decades of escalating need. Over two dozen people have resigned; CEOs, members of government, worldwide. But, I haven’t seen any arrests or investigations here in the United States, from this Department of Justice. Prince Andrew, Duke of York, who has since been stripped of his royalty, his royal titles, due to his affiliation with Jeffrey Epstein, has been arrested. Peter Mandelson, Who previously served as UK’s Ambassador to the United States, resigned in disgrace from United Kingdom’S House of Lords and the Labor Party, and he’s been arrested. Former Prime Minister of Norway, Thorbjorn Jagland has been charged. But, we don’t see any charges, arrests, or investigations in the United States. What do we see? We see our FBI Director celebrating in the locker room at the Olympics overseas. It’s fine to be proud of this country. But, we should be proud of this country because we have a system of justice that works. And yet we do not. Who are the men that should be investigated? I’ll name them right here. Leon Black; you don’t even have to see past the redactions to see that this man needs to be investigated. Jess Staley; accused of terrible things, it’s right there in the files. Why is he not being investigated? And, Leslie Wexner; why did the FBI list him as a co-conspirator in their own documents in a child sex trafficking case, and then tell him, according to him, that they had no questions for him? Why is that? Well, the Epstein Files Transparency Act requires the DOJ and the FBI to disclose to us their internal memos and emails about how they made those decisions, whether to prosecute or not prosecute. Yet, they have not delivered those memos. And, we still don’t have the memos and documents and emails from 2008, to explain why Jeffrey Epstein was given such a light sentence in what would have been an open and shut case of child sex trafficking, which allowed him to go back and recommit these terrible crimes, create hundreds of more victims, and ensnare so many other people in his conspiracy. Where are those documents that describe those decisions? We need justice. We want the Department of Justice to get to work, and that’s what they need to do – now! Hebrews points us to Jesus as both Apostle and High Priest. He is the one sent by the Father to confirm God's promises. He is the High Priest as our mediator who secures God's promises. Profession of faith is not only about standing before a congregation but about holding fast to Christ every day, trusting in our faithful Redeemer who is our shield and defender.

This describes the God-rejecting environmental movement—we're told cows and crops are bad, using oil and gas is bad, and humans are especially bad because we're causing “climate change” and thus there needs to be billions less people so the earth can be saved.Never mind that the “experts” are wrong time and again with their predictions of doom and gloom for the earth. The next storm, the next flood, the next forest fire…well, “it's man-caused climate change and we must act before it's too late!”As our guest David Le Gates, climatologist and Director of Research and Education for the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation, will tell us, the world's environmental worldview is actually a religion, one that worships the earth and man. In the book of Romans we have one of the three most masterful treatments as to how God saves: often called either "the atonement"; or "reconciling" (the others being Galatians and Hebrews). This book says it tells us about Jesus the Christ who was declared to be the Son of God by the power of his resurrection: Romans 1 verse 4. Note the frequent use of "Christ" in the first eight verses. One of the great themes of the book are 'the obedience of faith', ie that obedience will be the fruit that springs from a vibrant faith - verse 5. This idea is reiterated at the end of the book: chapter 16:25-27. The first chapter introduces us to "the gospel of God" ie the joyful message that it is the desire of the Almighty Creator to help us through our belief, or faith, to become His children and the inheritors of the Kingdom. Paul's thesis is explained in verses 16-17 - namely that the gospel is God's power to save all who believe; since the OT declared in Habakkuk 2 verse ;4, "the just shall live by faith". Romans 1 verses 18-32 speak of God's wrath on unrighteousness, particularly in this chapter in the Gentile world. And this theme is developed further in chapter two where Paul shows that the Gentile world is both guilty and without any excuse. Romans 1 verses 18-25 reveal that our Omnipotent Creator has provided indisputable evidence of His power. So that wilfully ignorant sinners stand condemned by their reprobate behaviour. By failing to accept the evidence that the Almighty puts before the world of His creative power and Godhead they are self condemned and have degenerated just as their concept of their own origins is also corrupt. Professing themselves to be wise showed that they were, in fact, fools. We find that base beliefs lead to base behaviours. The Apostle Paul speaks of the abominable ways that have been declared acceptable to contemporary society. If God says a thing is wrong it remains wrong regardless of what the majority of society may believe. Consider the catalogue of evil behaviours follow from an acceptance of a corrupting lifestyle. In Romans 2 verses 1-5 Paul tells us that those who fail to stand, whether Jew or Gentile, for their Sovereign's truth are without excuse. The Apostle says that these individuals are building up a store of wrath in the day of judgment. Verses 6-11 explain that since God is just so will His judgment be. Either we by our beliefs and way of life are seeking immortality ie eternal life; or we are going to receive retribution and rejection. In chapter three the Apostle will turn his attention to the Jews who are gloating over Paul's attack on the Gentiles. But before he does that he will condemn Jewish hypocrisy and declare that Jews who boast in the Law are condemned by their Law because of their actions which are contrary to the spirit of the Law. And even some of the Gentiles who know not God's Law are better in their behaviour than those who claim to be the children of God.

Most people want to relate to Jesus on their own terms, but a “fake Jesus” that we create to meet our needs can't really change or challenge us. If you want a Jesus that can actually transform you, you have to search for the real Jesus. In the earliest gospel account in existence, a writer named Mark introduces us to “The Real Jesus.”  #MoRealJesus

We remember Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky through the voices of those who knew them. Hear about Sarah's peacebuilding in Morocco and Yaron's diplomatic efforts to forge stronger ties between Israel and its neighbors. Both were members of the Israeli diplomatic corps and AJC's extended family. They were tragically murdered after leaving an AJC event in Washington, D.C. Dr. Dana Walker, the director of AJC ACCESS, the young professional program that hosted the reception, shares memories of traveling with Sarah to Morocco last fall as part of the Michael Sachs Fellowship for Emerging Leaders, organized by AJC and the Mimouna Association.  Then, Benjamin Rogers, AJC's Director for Middle East and North Africa Initiatives, reflects on his conversations with Yaron, who held a parallel diplomatic portfolio at the Israeli Embassy. Benjy and Yaron spoke quite often about their diplomatic work and the importance of Israel's relationship with its neighbors. Transcript of the Interview: Manya Brachear Pashman:   American Jewish Committee and Jews around the world have been left completely shaken by the devastating events in Washington, D.C., where two members of the Israeli diplomatic community and AJC's community—Sarah Milgrim  and Yaron Lishinsky were brutally murdered after leaving an AJC reception.  Last week, AJC CEO Ted Deutch returned from Sarah's funeral in Kansas City to share what he's learned about Sarah and Yaron. He also shared how graciously people have reached out to express their support, including families of Israeli hostages.  This week, to remember Sarah and Yaron, we invited two AJC colleagues who knew them personally to help us remember.  Dana Levinson Walker is the director of AJC ACCESS, the program for young Jewish professionals. In that role, she traveled to Morocco with Sarah and two dozen other young bridge builders as part of the Michael Sachs Fellowship for Emerging Leaders organized by AJC and the Mimouna Association. Dana is with us now to share her memories. Dana, thank you for being here.  Can you please tell us about that trip last fall? Dana Walker:   I had the privilege of traveling with Sarah and 25 other young professionals and staff from the US, Israel, Morocco and France. And it was an extraordinary seven days. We traveled to six different cities in seven days. Normally, we backend an Israel trip as a part of this delegation. But due to some geopolitical issues happening in the region, we made a decision to just go to Morocco at that time, and then we were going to go to Israel later. And we are indeed scheduled to go to Israel in September of 2025.  It was an extraordinary experience for all different kinds of reasons. I think that the environment that we were walking into in Morocco was not only an embracing one, but it was also a challenging one. The day that we arrived in Morocco was the day we found out that the six hostages had been murdered in Gaza, and it was an incredibly painful moment for the Jewish participants, many of whom had a connection to the hostages or their families. And especially for someone like Sarah, who worked at the embassy, it felt really personal, because she had been advocating, of course, for their release, but also had just been a voice for many of them. And it was deeply devastating.  But the trip could have taken a really depressing and sad turn, and in reality, it actually took an incredible turn where I've often told people that it wasn't necessarily the trip we planned for, but it was the trip we needed. In that it really fostered and created a family that is bound together now for life. They wept together, they laughed together.  And I think what was so powerful is that it was Sarah's first time in Morocco, and she really just had this look of awe most of the time we were there. It was a look of deep reflection, a look of kind of taking it all in. We have really amazing photos of her, where she's just kind of looking very ethereal and like looking up in awe walking around the kind of old city of Marrakesh and things like that. And she was an incredible addition to our trip. She was a calming figure, a grounding figure.  She spent a lot of late nights with the folks, just talking on the bus, talking by the pool. I know that on the last night of our trip in Marrakech, she and a couple of other participants, Israelis and Moroccans and Americans, were up until 5:30 in the morning just talking about life and their ambitions and their goals and just understanding one another by the pool for hours and hours and hours. And Sarah was one of the people in that conversation.  Manya Brachear Pashman:   Can you share what perspectives she added to the conversations? What did she contribute? And also, if you know anything about those ambitions and life goals that she shared with others. Dana Walker:   Sarah was really passionate about the environment. She was really passionate about sustainability. She loved her dog. She was really passionate about animals, and specifically dogs. I remember one of the things that we were talking about when she was preparing to go on the trip, and we had to kind of navigate when we were going and if we were still going, because of the geopolitics of the region, and she was really concerned about boarding her dog. It's just so clear that she cares so much about everyone in her life, and especially in this case, her dog, who was a really focal part of her heart.  You know, she studied agriculture and sustainability, primarily sustainability. She was really interested in leaving the world a better place than she found it.  And when we were going through the acceptance process for the Sachs Fellowship, we had a ton of applicants. And I think really what drew us to Sarah's application was that she was someone who was literally about to start her job at the embassy. We decided to put her in the agriculture and sustainability track because that's what she cared about. She was really passionate about finding sustainable solutions, especially in the region, because the region is growing hotter with each kind of succeeding year. Food and water security is becoming a challenge.  Although, you know, after she started her role at the embassy, she really was doing a little bit of everything, but one of the key features that she worked on was working with survivors who had experienced gender and sexual based violence after October 7, and we couldn't really fathom anyone being more suited to do that work because of her gentle and calm and compassionate, assuring disposition.  So she was ambitious in that she had a lot of big dreams for the future, about what she wanted to do, and she was really figuring out what was going to come next for her. The diplomat's life is never easy, especially in these incredibly uncertain and overwhelming times after October 7, and she and Yaron were planning a future, and they were really figuring out what was coming next for them.  Manya Brachear Pashman:   Was that trip to Morocco the only time you spent with Sarah?  Dana Walker:   I met her in person for the first time at last year's AJC Young Diplomats reception, where we focused on talking about regional integration, which was something she was really passionate about. She was with her other embassy friends and colleagues, and it was great to meet her, because I knew I was going to be traveling with her in the fall.  So it was great to meet her in person. And then I saw her a few more times in DC over the course of our year, getting to know her. And then the last time I saw her was at the AJC Global Forum in April of just this year. Manya Brachear Pashman:   The Sachs Fellowship is named in memory of Michael Sachs. He was someone who dedicated his life to promoting Arab-Israeli engagement. We've heard a lot of people talk about Sarah's commitment to that as well. How could you tell? Is there a moment in your mind that stands out? Illustrates her belief that interfaith, intercultural engagement could and should happen? Dana Walker:   I believe in Essaouira–I believe that's where we were–and they had given us the option that we could either go around the souq and do a little bit of shopping, or we could go to a mosque and participate in an opportunity with this incredible singer and spiritual leader. And there were a few of us who said, Okay, we're gonna go. And Sarah was one of them, and she came with me and with the others. And it was so extraordinary, not only the experience of being in the mosque and hearing this unbelievable. Whole singing and just being kind of enveloped in this like spiritual warmth, which was just so wonderful.  But she could have gone shopping, and she chose to go to the mosque, and she chose to put herself out there and experience something that she would likely not get to experience again, in this kind of environment. She really took advantage of it. She was really eager to learn.  In order to be a peace builder, in order to be someone who can really transform hearts and minds, you have to understand the people that you're working with, and she really took advantage of that in the best way possible. I have some really great photos and videos of us in the mosque. And of course, they have this amazing tea ceremony. So the spiritual leader of the mosque had this really, really, really cute child who must have been maybe four or something. And, you know, hospitality is one of the pillars of Moroccan society, and everybody always does kind of the double cheek kiss.  And the spiritual leader wanted to make sure that his child went around and gave everybody these little kisses. And I remember Sarah, and I were like, Oh my God, this kid is so cute and so well behaved. Like, I can't believe it. So he came over and gave us these little you know, these little bissou or, you know, whatever, the cheek kisses. And we were just melting. He was so adorable.  Manya Brachear Pashman:   It sounds like you were met with so much warmth and kindness in Morocco. As you said, it was what it was the trip you needed. And it sounds like she didn't hesitate to immerse herself, to really engage with that, that kind of cross-cultural experience. Do you know of any examples of when she engaged with a not-so friendly crowd? Dana Walker:   One of the things that Sarah talked a lot about on the trip, and I know that my ACCESS leader and friend Laura mentioned this at the vigil yesterday is that, after Sarah started working for the embassy, a lot of her friends from graduate school and other places were really unkind to her and were really, really awful to her about her decision to work for the Israeli embassy. And in many cases, they stopped talking to her, they blocked her, they cropped her out of photos, they excluded her, and that was the kind of hostility she was facing. So I think what's really telling is that the people who love her and embrace her so much include Moroccan Muslims who saw her for the kind of person that she was. Which was this extraordinarily warm and caring and kind and compassionate person, but also someone who had a vision for securing a better future for everyone in the region, regardless of whether they were Jewish or Muslim, regardless of whether they were Israeli or Palestinian or Moroccan. Manya Brachear Pashman:   Did she ever talk about how she handled those broken friendships?  Dana Walker:   I think they were just really painful for her. I think they were really hard. I think she found a lot of comfort in hearing from the other Americans on the trip who had also lost friendships and relationships and relationships after October 7. It was a very common refrain from a lot of the participants that some of their coworkers or long friendships, relationships, even with family, had been fractured or damaged or kind of beyond a place of repair.  And I think in many ways, not misery loves company, but you know, she was surrounded by others who understood her experience and vice versa. That they all could appreciate, because they had all been through it in some way or another. So her experience was a familiar one, unfortunately, and a familiar one for many American Jews. So I think she took comfort in knowing that other people on the trip were experiencing similar things. Manya Brachear Pashman:   So Dana, how are you finding any glimmers of hope going forward, after that evening? Dana Walker:   You know, I . . . in my almost seven years of working at AJC, which is a long time, I think at this point, have discovered that the key to keep doing what we do is looking at our work through a glass, half full lens, because If we don't, it's just exhausting and debilitating. And I what gives me hope is knowing that even in her last sort of moments, that she was fulfilling her desire to be a glass half full person. She had vision for how to support a sustainable region, how to deeply invest in her relationships with her colleagues and friends across many nations and many backgrounds.  And I urge others to try and embody that sense of optimism and glass half full approach, because the person who perpetrated this brutal act sought to destroy the work, and the only way forward is to amplify it and double down on it. So that's the hope that I get out of this experience. Is just knowing that we owe it to Sarah and to Yaron to keep amplifying their vision for what was possible. Manya Brachear Pashman:   Sadly, Sarah is not the first Sachs Fellow that the current cohort lost this past year. At AJC Global Forum in New York in April, AJC honored Laziza Dalil, a co-founder of Mimouna Association. She was a Moroccan Muslim who dedicated her life to repairing Arab Israeli relations. She posthumously received the Ofir Libshtein Bridge Builder Award at Global Forum. Dana, how are you and the Sachs Fellows doing through what I can only imagine has been a difficult time? Dana Walker:   It just all seems so unfair. Deeply unfair and deeply painful. That two of the best and brightest were taken from us. Were stolen from us, really. And it's something that we are grappling with. We're still processing. We're still dealing with it. I think what has been tremendously helpful is that we are grieving as a family.  We are grieving as a group of not Moroccans or Israelis or Americans or French people, but as a collection of people who by fate and circumstance, are now bound to each other forever by both the trauma and the joys of what we've experienced as a community in service of trying to make the world a better place. And it's hard. But we are going to keep going because of it. Manya Brachear Pashman:   If only that shared sense of grief was as powerful in the region. Dana, thank you so much.  Dana Walker:   Thank you, Manya.  Manya Brachear Pashman:  As AJC's Director for Middle East and North Africa Initiatives, Benjamin Rogers handles the Middle East portfolio for American Jewish Committee. The same portfolio that Yaron Lischinsky handled for the Israeli Embassy.  Benjy and Yaron spoke quite often about the importance of Israel's relationship with its neighbors. Benjy is with us now to recall his last conversation with Yaron, moments before his death. Thank you for joining us, Benjy. You were at the event in Washington that night. Where were you when the shots were fired just after 9 p.m.? Benjamin Rogers:   I left the museum around 8:55pm and I was in a taxi heading home, when I got a text message letting me know that there's been shots fired. Talked to a lot of people from the Israeli embassy, from AJC, trying to get a sense of what was happening. I remember calling Yaron, asking if he was okay, texting him if he was okay. And then everything kind of unfolded once I got home. A lot of confusion initially, and then kind of everyone's worst fears were soon realized. Manya Brachear Pashman:   You knew Yaron through the particular work that you both did, correct?  Benjamin Rogers:   I have the privilege of working on the Middle East file for AJC and Yaron also had the privilege of working on the Middle East file for the Embassy of Israel. And the Embassy of Israel is quite large, but believe it or not, there's only two people that really focus on the Middle East–Yaron and then his supervisor, Noa Ginosar. So Yaron was someone who I used to see frequently in Washington. He would always be at various events. It was always fun to have Yaron, an Israeli representative at different programming with Arab diplomats, Arab representatives. Something that was clearly important to us at AJC, but also deeply personal to Yaron. Israel at the time of the Abraham Accords, Israel post October 7, Israel at a time of difficulty, how could we work together on a shared mission of advancing regional integration. And this was something that – you know, Yaron was not the loudest person in the room ever. He, in that sense, was not your typical Washingtonian. But he always had this presence. He always had this smile on his face.  So whenever he was there, you knew you felt this comfort. People have been saying a lot, who have been meeting his family, that he comes from a very noble family, and I think that perfectly describes Yaron. He was a noble guy. He was always somebody who was happy to be where he was. You could tell the work meant a lot to him, and someone who I always enjoyed being able to see.  That night, I got to spend a good amount of time with him. I had seen him a few weeks prior, but we didn't really have the time to catch up, and it was just a great opportunity to be able to talk with him. He shared, he was very excited to go home. He hadn't been home in close to a year. Was going to see his family. He was going to go over Shavuot. Again, with that typical Yaron smile, calm energy, noble engagement.  He was really happy that night, and that's something, the more I talk about this, the more that's important for me to share. Just because I am a new father, I can only imagine what his parents are going through. But he was happy that night. He was at a really good place. And I think that that, I hope, that brings some solace and meaning to all who knew and loved him.  Manya Brachear Pashman:   I know people did more than mingle at this reception. Much has been said about the cruel irony that this was a program about humanitarian aid to Gaza. Could you speak a little more about that? Benjamin Rogers:   The event on Wednesday night was one that I moderated, and one that I was actually quite nervous to moderate. It was on humanitarian diplomacy. This is not an easy topic to discuss right now. There's a lot of complexity, a lot of hardship, a lot of heartbreak, but the fact that he was there for this conversation showed his willingness to engage, his willingness to hear a conversation. It was not a political discussion.  It was a discussion with representatives from IsraAID and representatives from Multifaith Network–that was really working on showcasing how interfaith engagement, how IsraAID came together to say, how do we do something good? How do we do something good at a time when there's not so much humanity right now.  And it was about trust. It was about doing better. It was about looking forward. And that I think encapsulates not only Yaron's spirit, but very much Sarah's as well, who I knew less well, but was very much part of the AJC family. Very much also deeply believed in being a bridge, bringing people together.  Manya Brachear Pashman:   Is there a conversation or a moment, an encounter that really stands out for you as your key memory, core memory, if you will, of Yaron? Benjamin Rogers:   We always used to joke about diplomats that we had engaged together. There's a lot of sensitivities in this, but we would always seem to be at events where it was a great networking opportunities and great opportunities to expand understanding throughout the Middle East. And we would always kind of laugh and talk about how happy we were to be able to do some of those small engagement, small steps together.  That and his smile. This was always somebody who walked into a room and again, not the loudest person, but someone who you could just tell was good natured, had a good heart, and that's essential in this work. There are a lot of good people in this field. Not everybody, though, is to the level of Yaron and to the level of Sarah, and I think…I've been going through many different emotions. Most of it is just this feeling of surrealness. This is somebody who I just saw and is now gone. I still haven't fully processed that. But what I'm coming to more and more is that we've got to do better. We're better than this. We're all better than this. Yaron and Sarah were better. We need to find a way to live up to their ideals. Professing kind of what he stood for.  How do we get out of this period? How do we find a more understanding, a more hopeful, more empathetic world where we pull away from this black and white, good and bad, explain this to me in a tweet or a five second clip. This is complex. We've seen just how tragic this environment can be, how tragic and costly words can be, and I hope that for everyone, it is a rallying call to be better.  Manya Brachear Pashman:   Thank you so much, Benjy. Frequent mingling with the professing church (Stephen Tyng, "Christ is All") The professing church is characterized by a worldly, covetous and frivolous spirit; which is manifested by distressing acts of inconsistency and folly. Far too often, when the true Christian associates with those within the professed communion of the followers of Christ, he is met with a low standard of personal piety. Frequent mingling with the professing church very rarely promotes, and far more frequently hinders--the growth of grace in the true Christian's heart.Much experience of this impediment to holiness, compels him to retreat, as often as possible, from the professing church, to seek for strength and refreshment at home, in secret with his Lord.

John 3:18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Before we unpack this verse, we need to understand something about God's judgment. God's judgment isn't like man's judgment. When man judges, an action occurs, then judgment follows. In the kingdom of God, a sinful action reveals God's judgment. Let me explain it from Paul's epistle to the Romans in 1:17-24. For in it (the gospel) the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “But the righteous man shall live by faith.” For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore, God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity. How is God's judgment that a man is righteous before Him revealed? God sends them the gospel through which the gift of righteousness is manifested as God gives Him life in Christ, and he believes. God-wrought faith is the evidence that God's judgment is true, namely that the person's sins have been judged in Christ, therefore, he is not judged. This God-wrought work in the heart of men will be mentioned later in John 3. The judgment of God preceded the action of a faithful response to the gospel. God sees the man in Christ, proclaims Him righteous, and reveals this reality through the testimony of faith which God gives him when he hears the gospel. If this is a new thought to you, then I encourage you to look closely at Rom. 1:16-28 and meditate on it, asking the Holy Spirit to help you understand. Now consider how God's wrath against sin is revealed. God gives a man over to what He sees inside him. He judges that he is unbelieving, and then to reveal His judgment is right, He reveals Himself in creation and through the gospel, and his unbelieving response proves God's judgment is true. Again, God's judgment precedes the unbelieving response to the gospel or God's revelation. He sees the unrighteousness and ungodliness in the man that suppresses the truth, judges it, and then reveals His judgment by leaving him to himself to do what God sees in his heart. So when the Son of God comes into the world as the light of the world, and a man doesn't believe, it is evidence that he is already judged. That's why Jesus said, “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” So here's the encouragement for today. If you are living to love with Jesus, you believe that your sin has been judged in Him at the cross. Your unbelieving, self-directed life has passed away. You are not judged like the unbelievers are. You also believe that He lives and that He is your life. That's why you live today—to love with the living Christ who dwells inside you. Does this encourage you? I hope so. Otherwise, you have been judged already, and I encourage you to repent of not...

Life is full of sweet highs and terrible merlots on today's Script Apart as Alexander Payne – director of movies like Election, The Holdovers, Nebraska and About Schmidt – joins us to raise a glass to an indie drama that has aged like a fine wine. The brilliant Sideways was released in 2004 and soon earned four Academy Award nominations, taking home Best Adapted Screenplay. It won six Independent Spirit Awards, was picked up for Japanese remake and instigated a huge tourism boom in the California wine country that forms the film's backdrop. Co-written with frequent collaborator Jim Taylor, it told the tale of two friends on a wine tasting expedition,  each struggling to break out of a certain middle-aged, middle-class male malaise (one of Alexander's screenwriting specialties). The result? A dramedy widely regarded as one of the best of its decade.The film saw Paul Giamatti play Miles – an aspiring author whose dreams of literary stardom are misfiring, much like his love life. Recently divorced, he and his old college friend Jack, played by Thomas Haden Church, hop in the car to celebrate Jack's upcoming wedding. But Jack – a washed-up soap opera actor – is intent on hooking up with women as part of one last sexual hurrah before marriage. Caught up in the mix as the pair quarrel and cause trouble is Virginia Madsen's Maya, a barmaid that Miles strikes up feelings for. Professing those feelings in a serious way, though, is difficult for the wine aficionado and English teacher – a man so mired in regret about what was, he's unable to grasp the now and what could still be. Much is often made about the recurring quote-unquote “losers” that lead Alexander's films, and what they might have to say about modern American man. The filmmaker, though, has always been pretty resolute that his movies centre the downtrodden and dopey simply because, deep down, these films are comedies – a genre the historically sides with the little guy, going all the way back to Charlie Chaplin. But how does he define the mix of pathos and hilarity that fill his characters? Where does Alexander's affinity towards road trip stories come from?  What's so relatable and real about Miles' fear that his literary dreams might amount to nothing – and that a life of feeling like a loser awaits? And what was the inspiration behind the film's beautiful ending – a knock at the door that we as an audience never see answered? A Fake Christianity (4) (Audio) David Eells – 1/12/25 Ask for the Old Paths A.F.- 08/21/2007 (David's notes in red) This dream was so strong and memorable that I knew I needed to pay attention. I dreamed my husband and I bought a new house. It was actually a very old house (the house the Lord raised up 2000 years ago). It had been converted to a restaurant (to feed the true Word). We intended to convert it back to a house. (getting back to what was ordained of God: 1Jn.2:24 As for you, let that abide in you which ye heard from the beginning. If that which ye heard from the beginning abide in you, ye also shall abide in the Son, and in the Father.). It was awful. The decor was old and rotten. Full of heavy, dusty drapes and old furniture made from rare exotic wood but now out of date and unappealing (because of a falling away the original house has fallen into disrepair). As we took possession of the house, we started exploring all the rooms. Many rooms had been added on over the years. (Rev.22:18 I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto them, God shall add unto him the plagues which are written in this book.) The front porch had been converted to a trinket shop full of tacky crafts and dusty Christmas junk (Since man-made religious systems are not supported by God through the faith of the leaders, they resort to Babylonish merchandising.). When I was examining the porch I pulled back the nasty, rotten carpet and found a good clean wood deck underneath (the old foundation). I made a mental note to rip up the carpet, dump the trinkets and merchandise and restore the porch to a place where you could sit and rest (a place to rest from man's works on God's Sabbath). From the porch, there was a stairway that led to another part of the house that had been added on and I was shocked to see how big the house had gotten (Again adding to the Word brings a curse. It was big but not good or effective, like the mega-churches). This particular wing was like a whole house in itself but it obviously had been used for commercial business offices (the merchants of Babylon). There was one narrow blue (heavenly) tiled staircase in this part of the house that had been closed off (men have closed off Jacob's Ladder [Hebrew: staircase] which represented the true path to heaven [Gen.28:12]. Luk.11:52 Woe unto you lawyers! for ye took away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.). In the dream I knew it had once led to a pool or water source of some kind (to the true source of the living Waters of the Spirit Word). Even though it was roped off I tried to look up the staircase and was startled to see what appeared to be an angel at the top (The ministering spirit angels ascended and descended between Jacob and God. Jesus, the Word, said that He was this staircase, the way to heaven and God's way to us [Jn.1:51].). Then the angel began walking down the stairs, saying the area was closed, and then disappeared (It won't be closed much longer; Jesus is coming in His firstfruits to lead the church back to the water of life.). As I toured the house, making notes about what I would do to renovate it, I had a baby boy with me. Sometimes I carried him; sometimes he toddled beside me holding my hand tightly. I knew he was not my natural child but one that I was caring for and I wanted to keep him close to me (The fruit of Christ in the spirit man coming to those who seek the old house with the “old paths.”). I think the house definitely represents apostate religion. It has been used for business for too long and is now rotten and meaningless. I assume the baby boy is the man-child ministry. (The man-child will lead the true called-out ones back to the “old paths.”). Jer.6:16 Thus saith Jehovah, Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk [therein]. 17 And I set watchmen over you, [saying], Hearken to the sound of the trumpet; but they said, We will not hearken. 18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them. 19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it. Jude 1:3 Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, I was constrained to write unto you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in privily, [even] they who were of old written of beforehand unto this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness (a license for self-will), and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Apostate leaders have denied Jesus the Lordship of His Church.   God Reveals the Apostate Leadership B.A. - 06/21/2015 (David's notes in red) I dreamed I was inside a two-story house (which represents Heaven and Earth) with a family of seven children who were all boys. (The leadership of the seven churches of Revelation, six of whom represent the apostate leadership of the six church types that were corrected by the Lord in revelation. One is the Man-child leadership of the Philadelphia Church of brotherly love that was praised by the Lord and promised to escape the hour of trial. Rev.3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth and none shall shut, and that shutteth and none openeth: 8 I know thy works (behold, I have set before thee a door opened, which none can shut), that thou hast a little power, and didst keep my word, and didst not deny my name. 9 Behold, I give of the synagogue of Satan, of them that say they are Jews, and they are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou didst keep the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of trial, that hour which is to come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 I come quickly: hold fast that which thou hast, that no one take thy crown. 12 He that overcometh, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out thence no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, and mine own new name. 13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.) I was standing in the living room on the first floor (which represents the earth; things that are earthly and not from above or Heavenly). (Col.3:2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. Mat.16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art a stumbling-block unto me: for thou mindest not the things of God, but the things of men. And Php.3:18 For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is perdition, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. 20 whose end is perdition, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. 21 who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.) Immediately, I was sent to the basement level (a place of darkness and deceit) of this home where six of the boys had their bedrooms, along with their mother. (Representing the corporate body of the earthly Church.) The father was not home but in the dream; I knew that “the father” was at work. (The Father is at work to reform the six churches and their leaders through judgment.) Joh.1:5 And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not. Mat.5:15 Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand; and it shineth unto all that are in the house. I was allowed to enter into each of the children's bedrooms to inspect the condition of their rooms. (As the Lord did to the six churches in Revelations.) Upon entering each of their rooms, I immediately detected a foul, uninviting odor. (This is the smell of rebellion) Amo.4:10 I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have carried away your horses; and I have made the stench of your camp to come up even into your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah. Their rooms were filthy with dust and dirt everywhere. (Uncleanness represents a lack of sanctification, “without which no man shall see the Lord” [Heb12.14].) I could tell that their rooms had not been cleaned in a very long time. I also opened each of their closet doors and inspected their garments. I wasn't surprised to find filthy, dirty, stinky clothes lying all over the floor. (Garments represent our works.) There were vulgar posters and other disgusting things hanging all over their walls as well. (That which they admire is sin.) I went into their mother's bedroom and it wasn't any better! (The mother reflects the children because they are born from her and are a part of her body.) Also, I was led to go into the basement bathroom that they all shared and it was covered in filth and had a very foul odor as well. I began to pray, as an evil spirit of darkness, like a thick black cloud, was all around me. (The church today reflects nothing we see in the example of the Church in the word.) After this, I was led back up to the first level and found myself in the kitchen, where the mother (apostate church) was preparing food (doctrine of demons) for six of her children. 1Ti.4:1 But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 through the hypocrisy of men that speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron. I watched as she placed the food she had prepared onto each of their plates. I couldn't help but notice that the food looked and smelled spoiled and inedible to me, and it was amazing to me how none of them could detect the foul odor or see the spoiled condition of this food. (They have even been known to appreciate the terrible spiritual food fed in the churches. Their leadership has eaten it but they also feed it to the children.) (No spiritual discernment whatsoever! 2Th.2:11 And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: 12 that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.) What will happen to the false leadership and their followers is history repeated. They are going into captivity to be devoured by the curse, in hope of their repentance. In Ezekiel 17, there were two great eagles, representing two portions of the great eagle of America; i.e., a civil war. One great eagle was D.S. Babylon which was conquering the eagle of Egypt. Representing God's people who were trusting in Egypt, their arm of flesh, to save them from D.S.Babylon that brought them into captivity. The morning I received this dream I also received Zechariah 5, the story of the apostate woman going into Babylonish captivity. This is an answer to what will happen to the woman and her offspring. At the same time, we received Jeremiah 46:19-28, which is Egypt conquered by Babylon. Many people of God had fled to Egypt to escape the Babylonish captivity, which means they trusted in the arm of flesh and were not in right standing with God to escape. In this text, a remnant learned their lesson and returned to their land, as also in Jeremiah 44:11-14. Then we received the same story again in Hosea 7:7-8:7. Some look around and think that the Satanists, communists, homosexuals, leftists, etc. are tearing down the country and they say it's because we have a bad president. No, he was sent by God. God's Word says that because we have bad Christians, “He” has been tearing down the country with bad leadership. The answer is not to fight or run; the answer is to repent. God took credit in the Bible for sending many kingdoms to conquer His people when they were apostates. Why is it they don't see this? It is because of their lack of love for the truth that they are happily fed garbage by the preachers.  God's people forgot how to read.) Then I found myself standing inside the room of the seventh son. (The place of the Philadelphia Church of brotherly love. The seventh is the place of rest; of abiding in Christ, of Jesus, our dwelling place and refuge.) Psa.91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust.) Upon entering his room, it had the smell of a room that had just been wiped clean. A fresh and inviting aroma permeated the entire room. 2Co.2:15 For we are a sweet savor of Christ unto God, in them that are saved, and in them that perish; 16 to the one a savor from death unto death; to the other a savor from life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not as the many, corrupting the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, speak we in Christ. I noticed that his bed (resting in the Lord) had been meticulously made. I could see that much care had gone into the making of his bed. (The rest in faith in the Lord's promises is what sanctifies and saves. Those who ran down to Egypt in their own works of the flesh to be saved are in Isa.30:1-3 Woe to the rebellious children, saith Jehovah, that take counsel, but not of me; and that make a league, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin, 2 that set out to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to take refuge in the shadow of Egypt! 3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt your confusion. He said to them in Isa.30:15 For thus said the Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. And ye would not: 16 but ye said, No, for we will flee upon horses (trusting in their flesh of the Beast); therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. 17 One thousand shall flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on a hill. i.e., a remnant.) I listened as he was praying for his family below in the kitchen. And as he was praying, I saw food come down out of Heaven and enter into his body. End of dream. Psa.78:24 And he rained down manna upon them to eat, And gave them food from heaven. Joh.6:31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat. 32 Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, It was not Moses that gave you the bread out of heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread out of heaven. 33 For the bread of God is that which cometh down out of heaven, and giveth life unto the world. (The Philadelphia Church is also typed as the Bride, the Church of the Man-child.) Also read confirmations: Church of Brotherly Love Man-child: Born of Philadelphia Church   Vision of Two Rivers Josh Fontaine - 09/01/2015 (David's notes in red) This is a good exhortation. As I looked at this vision, I saw that it was not speaking of two rivers, one good and one bad, but one river which started out clean but was polluted more and more as it passed through man's hands and went downstream. We were all given the Bible from the mountain of God's Kingdom. It is truth, it is pure, but many self-ordained, man-ordained shepherds have perverted it to divide the flock unto themselves. Their walk will not permit them to see the truth and purity. Their idols have deceived them, as in Ezekiel 14. The story of this vision is in Ezekiel 34 and you will notice they had the clear waters in their hand but decided to tweak it to confirm their own evil walk or lifestyles. Eze.34:18 Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have fed upon the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pasture? and to have drunk of the clear waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet? 19 And as for my sheep, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet (or walk), and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet. This is saying, don't trust second-hand and third-hand, etc. word; go straight to the head of the river and read the Bible and listen to the Spirit for yourself. Php.2:12 So then, my beloved, even as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Dirty water will not clean the church. Eph.5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it; 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, 27 that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. In July, I received a vision from the Lord concerning polluted waters and bad fruit. Before I share that vision, I would like to say that I love the church! I'm passionate about the church and I'm more convinced than ever that the church is God's answer for the world. Having said that, it is also important to recognize that we aren't where we should be and the Lord is answering with a pure move of His Spirit in our day. I will attempt to share this vision just as I received it and not add any of my own opinions to it. In the vision, the Lord and I were together in a great valley that stretched several miles in each direction from where we were standing. The Lord led me to the banks of this river and it was a relatively wide river with rapidly-moving water. As we approached the banks, I began to notice a horrible smell coming from the water. Once we reached the edge of the bank, the smell was overpowering me and it reeked like severely stagnant water and when I looked down into it, there was no life in this water, other than tadpoles and leeches, but no vegetation or fish. What I was seeing didn't make sense to me because this was an active, rapidly moving river and should have been full of life. I asked the Lord how this water could be stagnant yet moving so rapidly. The Lord spoke to me and said that this water wasn't stagnant; it was polluted. He then took me up the river to the mouth of it. The river was flowing out of the side of a mountain. Located at the corner of the valley and the mountain there was a very large factory. It was surrounded by a very high fence with razor wire across the top. The large door had a sign written across the top of the door that read “The Modern Church”. At all four corners were high watchtowers with armed guards on each of them. The Lord spoke to me and said that these watchmen were looking for an enemy, but I thought it wasn't the enemy. I asked the Lord whom they considered their enemy and He said that they were watching for any man or woman who would dare challenge the practices of the modern church. He then told me that they were highly trained character assassins and they would stop at nothing to silence the voices of those who would speak out and challenge carnal practices of the modern church system. We went behind the factory where the river ran beside it and there was a concrete ramp leading down into the water. There were people dumping barrels of substances into this water. Each barrel was labeled. I saw labels like: humanism, universalism, carnality, lust, sexual immorality, compromise, greed, and fear of man. He then led me down the river and we came upon a large fruit field. We crossed a bridge and approached the trees. These trees were some of the greenest trees I've ever seen, but when I approached them they were either void of any fruit, or the fruit was molded, rotten and infested by insects. The Lord told me that these trees were meant to bear good fruit, but the roots were tapped into contaminated and polluted water. We then moved farther down the river to a village. I saw people walking around this village. The people were very trendy and modern in their style and dress. I walked up to a man with his back to me and touched his shoulder. He turned around and I stepped back because his eyes were whited out and he was zombified. Death was in his face. I began to declare to him that he was dead, but that I could lead him to life. He began to defend his position with all sorts of philosophies and nothing I said was impacting him. I asked the Lord why the man wouldn't hear me and He said because “He wouldn't endure sound doctrine”. The Lord then told me that this man was the product of people eating rotten fruit and drinking from polluted waters. The part that stood out the most about this encounter with this man was the fact that he was utterly convinced he was alive. He couldn't be convinced of his condition. From here, the Lord then took me into the mountain where the river began. He took me past the factory and into a cave where the water was coming out. He took me up into the mountain and the water flowing through this mountain was the clearest, most beautiful water I've ever seen. (The polluted river had one beginning, one mouth, and it was clean. Its beginning is the Word of the Lord in the mountain that represents the Kingdom of God.) This water was living and vibrant. The Lord spoke to me that this river was the pure movement of His Spirit. He told me that this river was where His power and anointing was found. He said that many people are looking for Him in the “valley of man”, but He wasn't found there. He was found in the hill of the Lord. (This reminds me of Ezekiel 34 where the shepherds partook from the pure waters of the Word but fouled it by their own walk. It was their own factory to turn out duplicates of themselves, so God's solution was to depart from them and take His sheep and minister to them the pure water through his end-time David Man-children.) He told me that He was issuing an invitation to His people to come and flow in this river. He said that even though the invitation was to all of His ministers, many wouldn't tap into it because of what was going to be required to flow there. (They would have to take up their cross to lose their old life but their love of the world won't permit it.) He then gave me the following requirements to stay in the pure river: Only say what He says with no fear of man Honor Him and love Him more than the praise of man Abstain from sexual immorality Never prostitute the gift He has given me for money Stay humble Always be a good husband to my wife and a good father to my children He said if I would maintain these things in my life and ministry, He would allow me to flow in His pure river. He then said if I violate any of these things then I would no longer be able to stay in the mountain of God. He then quoted Psa.24:3 Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He will receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. He said that many ministers begin their ministries in the clean river, but after time, find themselves in the valley. He warned me strongly that once you go down to the valley, though it's possible to make your way back to the mountain, it is almost impossible because many times it will require public repentance and public humility. Many have trouble dealing with their pride in doing that. My prayer in this hour is that the true church of Jesus Christ would rise up with clean hands and pure hearts. There are two rivers flowing. Let's decide to flow where He is flowing.   Satan's Latter Rain Valerie Gleaton - 08/25/2009 (David's notes in red) I wanted to share with you a dream I had in 1996. I told my friend about it the next day because it was a little frightening to me. A few days later, we were at Blockbuster and I ended up renting a film on Nostradamus. (Nostradamus was a false prophet who used occult practices, witchcraft and divination.) I must tell you, I never had an interest in him, nor could I understand why I was compelled to rent this film. I went home and we began to watch the film. I was working on my laptop at the time and really wasn't paying attention to the movie and all of a sudden, I looked up at the TV and witnessed my exact dream unfolding. My friend looked at me and clearly exclaimed, “That's your dream!” I've never shared it with any of my former pastors because I believed they would not be able to help me understand it. It would be great if you could provide me with an understanding of it. This dream is still as vivid to me today as if I had it last night. The setting was an Old English-type. I had exited from this old, stone building leading out to a cobblestone street. (The stone building is God's true Church of old times, for we are the stones of His Church when we “contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints”. The stone street is walking on the Word of God.) There was a black full-size car parked across the street next to a two-foot, stacked, stone wall. Just as I reached the rear of the car, I looked up and saw the clouds turn dark gray and they began to roll like storm clouds. (Coming tribulations.) Then they rolled back and black rain began to come down on my children and me. (This is Satan's latter rain of false anointings and doctrines coming to attack the church. Nostradamus was used to symbolize these. He not only was into divination, a false prophecy anointing but was also devoted to Catholicism and its false doctrines. “Catholic Church” means “Universal Church” because it was a unifying of false religions, including apostate Christianity, into a one-world order religion, a type for our day. This black rain is like the Dragon/Serpent of Rev.12:15-16 spewing a river of lies out of his mouth to catch the woman and her children, but the earth swallowed these lies.) Crying with panic, I ushered my children into the car and told the driver to get them out of there. They were crying and did not want to leave me. As they drove off, they were up in the rear window, crying and reaching out for me. (The immature will have to be carried out of this deception to the secret place of the Most High by the mature - Rev.12:14; Psa.91.) I picked up a bicycle and prepared to ride it, as I stood and watched them go down the hill. (Children have to be carried on four wheels but riding a bicycle represents balance, without which one falls, and forward motion, without which one falls.) End of dream. In the film, it was exactly the same, except it was a Caucasian man and his two children, a boy and a girl, whereas I had three children, a girl and two boys.   False Knowledge and the Great Falling Away G.W. - 05/21/2008 (David's notes in red) I had a dream of walking into this beautiful glass building. As I looked into the room, I noticed that there were stacks and stacks of books everywhere in this room. I then looked up into the air of this building and I noticed people falling out of the air on top of these books. They would land on the stacks of books and fall down dead. I then looked up again to where they were falling from and instantly I was on the top balcony of where these people were falling from. I then saw a guy that was about to jump off the balcony onto the books below. I noticed in his hand was the first chapter of Ephesians. I then began to warn him, “Do not jump! You have to look at the Bible that is in your hand!” Without any hesitation, he said, “Oh, no. I'm going to jump.” He then turned around and jumped to his death without any hesitation. I then turned around and I saw this large wooden room that was empty. Immediately I sensed demonic presence all around the room. I began to cast out the presence in Jesus' Name. Immediately I awoke in the fear of God to meditate on the dream and 2 Thessalonians 2:3 came to mind: “let no man beguile you in any wise: for it will not be, except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition”. The very evil heart of the glass house of apostate religion is not hidden from God or man. These people are relying on false perceptions of the sure salvation mentioned in Ephesians 1. They are trusting in all the false knowledge of the books that religious men have written to give them a false justification and eternal security. Their false hope is that this will cushion their fall from grace to spiritual death(?)   Resting in the Midst of Chaos K. H. - 05/20/2011 (David's notes in red) At the beginning of the dream, I was with two other young women in the living room of a one-story white house. (Curt Bryan had a dream that we were all in a white house and I was warning people to stay inside; a fire was outside and it burned everything a foot deep but it stopped at the property line.) Shortly after I realized I was there in the room, I felt in my spirit that we needed to hide because someone was coming to look for us. So, we all crouched down under the windowsill. Then I saw a man dressed in all black with a button-down shirt and nice pants. It looked like a uniform but it had no identifying marks on it. He ran up to the window and looked in the house to see us but he couldn't see us. Psa.91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I noticed that the window was open slightly and there was a screen blocking him from being able to stick his hand in the house but he pulled a long sewing needle out of his pocket and stuck it through one of the holes and tapped the windowsill with the needle. He quickly removed the needle and ran away from the house. As soon as he ran away, I looked outside the house and saw there was chaos like I had never seen in the street. People were running all over the place and there were burning homes and lots of destruction all over the area. I was unsure of what had happened to cause this chaos but I knew it was a judgment from the Lord. As I was looking at what was happening, I noticed a sister from our local fellowship. She was standing outside of her house and looking at what was going on. It struck me because, just like me, she was at peace. (In these times ahead, we will see many things that will be troubling and will cause unrest amongst many people around the world but His children who abide in Him will have peace. Praise God! Joh.14:26 But the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. Then, I saw a group of between 10-20 dark-skinned men running up the street. (Those walking in darkness.) I was surprised to see that their heads were on fire; they had been burning for so long that their brains were exposed. (When I told my mom about their heads being on fire, my mom said, “Coals of fire.” (These are the enemies who have persecuted God's people and are under His wrath for it. Rom.12:20 But if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.) This led me to look up Psalm 18 which is about judgment and preservation.) The men ran to a house a few houses away from the house I was at and stopped. One man ran up to the front door and knocked. Reverend Jesse Jackson answered the door. The man asked him, “Why is this happening to us?” He said, “You're toxic!” (And you are in bad shape if Jesse is looking down on you and considers you toxic.) I then was back in the house with the other two women and I had a feeling in my spirit that I needed to go because the uniformed man from the beginning of the dream was coming back with more men to lay siege to the house I was in. I immediately was translated from where I was. (There is no place that God cannot save you. Translations will be very common in the days ahead.) The next thing I knew, I was on a very green mountain top and the sun was shining very brightly. On the right, in the corner of my eye, I saw a large shadow coming and as I looked up I saw that it was huge wings overhead, covering me. (I was reminded of Psa.36:7 How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.) Then I woke up. (It is the Psalm 91 Passover.) Shortly after I woke up, the Lord spoke this scripture to me: Isa.63:8 For he said, Surely, they are my people, children that will not deal falsely: so he was their Saviour. I then read the verses above and below that verse that He spoke to, which says: 7 I will make mention of the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah, and the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. 8 For he said, Surely, they are my people, children that will not deal falsely: so he was their Saviour. 9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. The understanding that the Lord gave me about this dream was that there was nothing to worry about in the times to come, just to stay close to Him and trust Him to protect and watch over me and the rest of His children. Thank you, Lord!   Why BUY Strong Delusion? B.A. - 04/20/2012 (David's notes in red) I dreamed I was in some kind of strange church building with no name. (It did not have the name, which means the true nature, character and authority of God, and it was strange because I didn't recognize their Jesus.) 2Pe.2:1 But there arose false prophets also among the people, as among you also there shall be false teachers, who shall privily bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their lascivious doings; by reason of whom the way of the truth shall be evil spoken of. I saw a long line of people going down to an altar to look into a small bowl (the golden calf). Exo.32:1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him. 2 And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden rings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. 3 And all the people brake off the golden rings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron. 4 And he received it at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, and made it a molten calf: and they said, These are thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. On their way to the bowl, there was a large coffer and people would walk by and throw their money into the coffer, then they would proceed on for their opportunity to look inside this bowl. (This is the way that leads to death -- laying up an earthly treasure in an earthly box, trying to buy their way into God's gifts.) Mat.6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also. I watched this for a while and was curious as to what was in that bowl and why some people were giving large amounts of money just to get the privilege of looking into this bowl. Pro.14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man; But the end thereof are the ways of death. I watched as a man in a nice business suit (trying to make the flesh look good) went up to the coffer and put in a large check. I thought to myself, Wow, there must be something really special in that bowl. I decided to go have a look inside this bowl for myself. I didn't have any money with me to put into this coffer, but no one was paying attention to me anyway. (I wasn't trying to buy my way into God's kingdom. Also, I didn't look like them, so they weren't interested in me.) As I approached the bowl (idol), I could detect a foul odor. (Worshipping idols and walking in unholiness is a stench in the nostrils of God. We can be a sweet aroma to God in repentance and cleansing from sin.) (Num.15:3) And will make an offering by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savior unto the LORD, of the herd, or of the flock. It didn't seem to bother anyone else, but as I got closer to the bowl the smell became almost unbearable, like fire and brimstone. I quickly looked down into the bowl and, to my surprise, all I saw was the bottom of the bowl. I thought to myself, What are these people paying for? I don't see anything. (People are pouring money into churches that offer no spirituality in return whereas the Lord gives freely. Isa 55:1-3 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.  2  Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.  3  Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Jesus commanded His disciples in Mat.10:8, “freely you have received, freely give.”) The smell of the bowl was so overwhelming that I had to go outside and get some fresh air (a fresh breath of the Holy Spirit outside the camp where a legitimate sacrifice of flesh should be). I saw a couple of people standing around, so I went up to them and asked them, “What did you see in the bowl?” A woman who was standing in the group with a lot of makeup on her face (apostate church [faking spiritual beauty] and hiding behind their false doctrine), spoke up and asked me, “What did you mean by asking that question?” I said, “Well, I went and looked into the bowl and I didn't see anything but the bottom of the bowl”. She said to me, “If you had spiritual eyes like we do, you wouldn't have any trouble seeing what was in the bowl”. (Having self-delusion and pride will keep anyone from God's gift of true spiritual sight.) Joh.3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Rom.8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 2Co.4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Rom.1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. And Rom.11:10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway. Her words troubled me, as I believe that I do have spiritual eyes to see. There was a bench nearby, so I decided to go over and sit down to think about this bowl and what this woman said to me. As I was sitting there, an elderly man came up to me and asked if he could share the bench with me (a messenger from God). I said, “Sure, there's plenty of room for the both of us”. He said, “I couldn't help but notice your troubled face. I'd like to listen if you would like to share what's troubling you”. So I told this nice man about the bowl and what the woman had said to me. I told him I was concerned because I thought I did have spiritual eyes and didn't know why I couldn't see what they saw. (Those of us who come to the true knowledge of God will not have any problems seeing through the lies with our spiritual eyes.) This kind, elderly man said to me, “Daughter (Jesus?), you do have spiritual eyes and there is nothing wrong with your spiritual eyes”. I said, “Then why couldn't I see what was in that bowl like the other people?” He said to me, “It's their eyes that can't see”. They have hardened their hearts to the truth, therefore, God sent them a strong delusion to believe a lie. 2Th.2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. I said, “I don't understand what you mean. Can you please explain what you mean to me?” He said, “Did you notice that they all had to pay and some had to pay dearly for the privilege of looking into that bowl? That's not acceptable to God”. (The Lord means charging people a tithe by putting them under the law in the New Testament for their bowl of spiritual food is an abomination. If you have to buy it, then it's not true food. God wants a freewill offering from the heart -- 2 Corinthians 9:7. Jesus said tithing was of the Law -- Matthew 23:23-24. Ministers must freely give what they freely received and walk by faith -- [Read Greed and the Tithe.] Because of Jesus' commands they learned to walk by faith. Mat 10:8-10  Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons: freely ye received, freely give.  9  Get you no gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses;  10  no wallet for your journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food. Eph.2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. He said, “When they looked into that bowl, each one of them saw what they wanted to see or what they paid to see. The truth of the matter is, there was nothing in the bowl, as you saw for yourself; and because you did not pay to look into the bowl, the Lord allowed you to see the truth.” Mat.6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. If your eye is totally focused on Jesus Christ, who is “the light of the world”, then everything that enters into you will be Him and you will be full of Him. When you are full of Him, you are like Him. PTL!   Beware the Flood of the Serpent G.C. - 09/11/2008 (David's notes in red) The living waters that Jesus said would flow out of believers are thoughts, words and ways of the kingdom, which bring life. The waters that the serpent casts out of his mouth in Revelation 12 to destroy the woman are the thoughts, words and ways of the devil sent to pervert and destroy God's people. The strong have been able to use the media of the world in relative safety but it is becoming more and more dangerous as porn is common on TV and even religious TV and radio are imparting demons to Christians. The time will soon come when we should use none of their media and is here already in most cases. The wilderness will become more and more separation from the things of the World. UBM intends by God's grace to create a Christian channel that will be Unleavened Bread to feed God's people. God's people were warned in Exodus 12 that during the last seven days, as types of years, if leaven was found in the people's houses they would be cut off from His people. If a little leaven leavens the whole lump, what will a lot of leaven do from the world? There can be no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness even now. Fellowship is giving and receiving. When we go to the world it should be only giving and not receiving of their thoughts, words and ways. In any relationship with the lost we are not to be yoked to unbelievers. Permission is only given in marriage when the believer is already married to one so that they may be saved through your faith and example. In a dream, I was living a simple existence in the deep woods. Anytime I needed to travel somewhere, I would swim through a deep creek that would take me anywhere I needed to go. This creek was my lifeline to the outside world. I did not have a car or any means of transportation, so the creek was my bridge to the outside. I enjoyed the creek and was pleased to be able to use it. At some point in the dream, I was standing on the bank of the creek with my brother in the Lord, CJ. We looked over to our left and saw a massive wall of floodwater rushing toward us from upstream. The floodwater swept through the area and swelled the creek. After the floodwaters came through, the creek was polluted. The floodwaters had brought massive amounts of large snakes and fish into the creek. CJ and I could see all types of large snakes on the shores of the creek and hanging from the trees, as well as swimming through the water, all of which were brought in from the floodwaters. The creek no longer appeared safe and useful like it had once been. CJ said that he would never get in the creek again because of all the snakes. I told him that I was not afraid of the snakes, and they could not hurt me. I don't know if this was false bravado or confidence in the Lord, but nonetheless I was not about to let these snakes scare me off from using the creek. I told CJ I was going to swim in the creek like I had always done. I got in the creek and began to swim through it. I could feel all the fish and snakes in the water; my feet would brush against them and it would feel strange but I continued swimming. I noticed a lot of snakes but I was not scared, even though many of them seemed dangerous. Then after a few minutes of swimming, I glanced backwards and saw a very large, hideous snake coming toward me. For the first time I began to realize this was not a good idea, and I realized the creek was no longer a safe place. The snake swam up to me and he was two feet around and had rows of razor-sharp teeth like a shark's. He was going to bite me for sure! I straddled him, put my hands inside his mouth, and grabbed onto his jaws to keep him from biting me. To my surprise he could not or would not bite me; he could have easily bitten my hands off but somehow his jaws were frozen. I managed to swim back to shore and vowed never to use the creek again. It was no longer the same useful tool that it had once been; now it was totally overtaken by vile creatures. Over and over I keep seeing the verse, even in the dream this came to mind. The floodwaters that rushed through the area reminded me of it: Rev.12:14 And there were given to the woman the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness unto her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth. I strongly feel that the creek is our connection to the world; it is our comfort zone. It represents habit, ease and easy access to modern society. I was living in the wilderness but I still had this way to the world if I wanted, like a bridge. As Christians, we live in the world but we are not supposed to be like the world. In the past, it has been possible for Christians to do who live amongst society, all the while remaining spotless. But I feel that there is coming a time that if we do not completely and utterly abandon everyday modern habits of interacting carelessly in secular society, we ourselves will become demon-infested. For a long time, God has had grace on many in the kingdom because of the fact that it's almost impossible to completely separate yourself from society and the world. But I feel there is coming a time, and now is, that the world and its members will be so full of evil and demonic oppression that we will have to completely separate ourselves from them, except to give the message of the Gospel. Our whole being will be solely for the Gospel -- nothing else. I feel that once the Serpent's flood comes at the beginning of the wilderness God will totally cut off and curse our bridges to the world. He is doing this because he is cutting off Egypt and He does not want us to swallow the polluted rivers of water that the whole earth is about to drink. There is about to be a great demonic outbreak and God is going to spiritually quarantine us by destroying all those old paths and bridges to the world. God is warning us that He is about to curse Egypt and make a separation between them and His people, to keep us from receiving their plagues. The things that God has had grace on for years are about to expire and He will no longer allow safe passage back and forth from Egypt to the wilderness. If we seek to continue traveling to and fro, from the two worlds like an open border we may very well lose our life.   God Said, “Go! Gather the People!” B.A. - 05/26/2013 (David's notes in red) In a vision, I saw an angel of the Lord come down out of Heaven and give David Eells a scroll-like piece of paper. (David represents the Man-Child company of Davids.) I walked over to David and I was allowed to read the wording on the top of the page and it read, Greater UBM in bold letters and under that on the second line, in slightly smaller letters, it read Member List. (Meaning members of Jesus' body in greater UBM.) The angel of the Lord spoke this message to David: “Go! Gather the people on this list.” I discerned that this was a command from the Lord to His Davids, that very soon they will be gathering His people to go to the feast! (God is going to send the Man-child Davids to gather the Woman company out of Babylon and take them into the wilderness where they will be nourished.) Rev.12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that there they may nourish her a thousand two hundred and threescore days. (The overcomers will walk on the highway of holiness and be sanctified.) Isa.35:8 And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness (separation from the world); the unclean shall not pass over it; but is shall be for the redeemed: the wayfaring men, yea fools, shall not err therein. (They will be feasting on the unleavened bread, the true word of God for the seven years.) Exo.23:15 The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep: seven days (the seven years of tribulation) thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it thou camest out from Egypt); and none shall appear before me empty: (They had to bear fruit.) Exo 12:15 Seven days (the seven years of tribulation) shall ye eat unleavened bread (pure truth); even the first day ye shall put away leaven (pollution) out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. This command to the Man-child ministers to “Go! Gather the people” will be a repeat of history, as the Lord said it would be. Ecc.3:15 That which is hath been long ago; and that which is to be hath long ago been: and God seeketh again that which is passed away. Exo.3:2 And the angel of Jehovah appeared unto him [Moses] in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. ... 10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt (the world). Moses was incapable, according to his own witness, to lead God's people out of Egypt and through the wilderness tribulation. Father chose him to prove that His power is made perfect through man's weakness. This is a type for the Man-child ministers who will do the same thing. The wilderness represents a lack of dependency on man and instead learning of our supernatural supply from Heaven. It was a place of testing to weed out the unbelieving mixed multitudes, meaning part Christian and part world. The flesh of Israel died in the wilderness. Their children, representing the fruit of the spiritual man, went into the Promised Land. The faithful Joshuas and Calebs were alive and remained to enter the spiritual land of milk and honey in their body. Eze.20:33 As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, will I be king over you: (as it was in Egypt before the people went into the wilderness tribulation) 34 and I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out; 35 and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face. 36 Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you, saith the Lord Jehovah. History will repeat. 37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; 38 and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me; I will bring them forth out of the land where they sojourn, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah. 39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Go ye, serve every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me; but my holy name shall ye no more profane with your gifts, and with your idols. No more denominations or demonizations among them to distract their allegiance. 40 For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them, serve me in the land: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the first-fruits of your oblations, with all your holy things. 41 As a sweet savor will I accept you, when I bring you out from the peoples, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you in the sight of the nations. 42 And ye shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I sware to give unto your fathers.

Numerous leaders within the NAR have laid claim to having personal encounters with Jesus Christ, and some of these leaders have correlated this to the personal calling as a modern-day Apostle. In the sixth episode of "Defenses Against Deception," Duane teaches the importance of guarding against deception, as God has provided multiple defenses against it. The New Testament repeated warnings about deceivers and being deceived, showing it is possible even for believers to fall into deception. The first defense God has given is His Word. If believers abide or continue in God's Word, Jesus said they are His disciples who will know the truth that brings freedom (John 8:31-32). By disciplining oneself in Scripture, one's discernment increases to recognize the fingerprints of the enemy versus the Holy Spirit.The story of Eve being deceived by the serpent in Genesis 3 illustrates how deception operates. Satan's tactic was first to question God's Word, get Eve to dismiss it, and then outright contradict it, tempting her to disobey by doubting God's goodness and care. This shows how compromising God's Word opens the door to deception.The Scripture of Jacob deceiving his father Isaac in Genesis 27 is also an example. A telltale sign of deception was the haste and pressure Jacob used—faith never operates under an anxious hurry. Another red flag was Jacob claiming "God blessed me" to justify his deceit, which is "dropping the God card" to wrongly use God to approve one's desired course.Isaac was led astray by his feelings - the hands "felt" like Esau's, though they were goatskins. How often do people let their feelings trump God's clear truth and Word when he tries to guide them as Jesus is the Way, Truth, and Life? They fail to realize that only obedience to God's Word, not rejecting it, leads to true wisdom.Discernment comes through knowing God's Word combined with patience and walking by faith, not feelings or hastiness. Professing believers who end up embracing abominations and departing from the faith have been deceived by not applying these safeguards against the deception that God has provided in Scripture.

Questions about whether it's okay to be part of a music ministry that's led by a professing Mormon, whether a woman should date a man who isn't as spiritual mature as she is or doesn't take his faith as seriously, and the misuse of Matthew 5:38–42 to manipulate others. Is it biblical for me to be part of a music ministry with a group of Christian women that is headed up by a professing Mormon?
