The ruling elites of ancient Israel were compared to cannibals eating the flesh of those they were supposed to protect. We continue with the prophet Micah's polemic against ancient Israel's ruling class, who apparently took advantage of the poor and downtrodden. For that reason, God told Micah to prophesy a day of judgment that would bring destruction on the rich and powerful. Because Micah used the phrase, “in that day,” we view this as an “already but not yet” prophecy—one that was fulfilled when Assyria conquered the northern Kingdom in 722 BC, and will be fulfilled again in the last days. It's Wayback Wednesday, with another interview from our archives. This week, in response to the new Steven Spielberg film Disclosure Day, we present our interview with paranormal researcher and author Nick Redfern about his book Final Events. First released October 23, 2010 IT'S RARE that new information emerges in UFO research, but we're honored this week to feature a man who's managed to disclose the existence of a group that's remained under the radar of ufologists for over 60 years. Researcher and author Nick Redfern discusses his new book Final Events and the Secret Government Group on Demonic UFOs and the Afterlife, in which he describes a secret group inside the U.S. intelligence community called the Collins Elite. Formed in the wake of the 1947 Roswell crash, the Collins Elite came to believe that UFOs are the product of fallen angels who want to harvest human souls, and that radical action — imposition of an Old Testament form of morals and dogma on a planetary scale — is needed to save humanity from a hellish end. Final Events is a must-read for anyone who sees through the thin scientific veneer of the UFO phenomenon. The Collins Elite, if Redfern's sources were telling the truth, are not Christians. Christ never called his followers to literally conquer the world and make disciples by force, which logic tells us doesn't work anyway. Who would have thought Steven Spielberg could make a boring movie about aliens? Spielberg's first major film in 10 years, Disclosure Day, was released Friday to mixed reviews. I haven't seen the film, but based on the reviews of those who have my sense is that the movie is about an hour too long and 30 years out of date. For example, the movie is described as a long chase scene in which the two protagonists are trying to reach a television studio to share proof of the existence of extraterrestrial life. Pardon me, but who actually believes the mainstream media anymore? Spielberg may be showing his age, but pretty much everyone under the age of 75 knows that anyone with the laptop and Wi-Fi could get the same information out to the entire world, faster, easier, and with a better chance of being believed than by racing a team of trained security professionals to a broadcast news studio. This movie would have been received a lot better during the height of the popularity of The X-Files.  Meanwhile, aliens of a different type have the United Kingdom rising up in protest after several incidents where new arrivals to the UK took bladed weapons to people of European ancestry. Citizens of the UK want elected officials who have foisted unrestricted immigration on their constituents, held accountable for streets that are increasingly unsafe and budgets that are increasingly unbalanced because of the imported diversity. The prophet Micah, a contemporary of Isaiah, prophesied the coming judgment of God on the kingdoms of Israel and Judah at the hand of the Assyrians. Our chronological reading order brings the book of Micah into the middle of our study of Isaiah. While Isaiah prophesied a day when the kingdom of Judah would declare, “God is my salvation,” Micah's prophecy is a warning of God's imminent judgment for the sins of Judah and Samaria. We see both prophecies as being of the “already but not yet” type, fulfilled in the eighth century BC, but with a future fulfillment still to come. Bear in mind when reading Isaiah 12 that the the Hebrew word translated “salvation” is Yeshua—Jesus. THE ALIENS have landed with a thud. Although some have praised the new Steven Spielberg film Disclosure Day, many reviewers are less than overwhelmed. We haven't seen the film, but the Takeaway from those who have is that this film would have been much better received during the height of the popularity of The X-Files. Instead, this film feels like it's 30 years out of date. Speaking of aliens, we discuss the growing unrest in the United Kingdom after several recent knife attack attacks captured on video. Each one featured a recent arrival in the UK causing serious bodily harm to a person of European ancestry. Citizens of the UK are now protesting and demanding accountability from the political class who forced these new arrivals on their constituents without their consent. The world is being prepped for the disclosure of the existence of extraterrestrial life. The church needs to be ready with answers. She reportedly performed a factory reset on both her phones and walked out into the desert. Melissa Casias is one of at least 11 people who have disappeared or died with connections to sensitive government programs related to the UFO phenomenon. Investigators say there is nothing to indicate foul play, but we remain skeptical. Meanwhile, the archbishop of Washington, D.C. removed a priest as an exorcist for the archdiocese after Monsignor Stephen Rossetti posted a video to his Facebook page connecting demons to the UFO phenomenon. While we don't entirely agree with Monsignor Rossetti's understanding, he's not entirely wrong. We also discussed a call by the cofounder of Anthropic, the developers of Claude, AI, for a pause on development of artificial intelligence because of his concern that Large Language Models are on the verge of full recursive self-improvement, meaning artificial intelligence could soon escape any restraints placed on it by humans. In other words, AI is closer to achieving the singularity than we think. Finally, we discussed strange news reports from New York City of men in full protective gear, wearing night goggles, descending into the sewer system at night and re-emerging several hours later. Police don't know what they've been doing down there, but they say at this point there is no threat to public safety. Again, we remain skeptical. A VISION of Noah was inserted into the Book of 1 Enoch, with interesting references to Leviathan and Behemoth. These are chaos monsters. Leviathan, described as female and from the sea, and Behemoth, male and occupying the wilderness—possibly the same one into which the Watcher Azazel was thrown as punishment for his role in corrupting humanity. We discussed the “already but not yet” prophecies of 1 Enoch 57–59 and the end times fulfillment of the vision ascribed to Noah in chapter 60. As a reminder, this month's study comes from the Book of Parables, the prophetic section of 1 Enoch written just before the birth of Jesus. The importance of this section of the book is in its prophecies of a coming messianic figure called the Chosen One, the Anointed One, and, most frequently, the Son of Man, a title not found in any prior Jewish writing. Jesus referred to himself as the Son of Man 78 times in the New Testament. The high regard for 1 Enoch held by Jesus, the apostles, and the early church suggests that it's worth our while to study this book for ourselves. It's not in the Bible, nor should it be, but there are teachings in the New Testament that come straight from the book of 1 Enoch. This is our continuing series pulled from archives going back to 2005. This week, we go through the looking glass in a 2005 episode that shows why we call this program Peering Into Darkness Radio. Originally released June 6, 2005 This week's PID Radio connects some dots to reveal a very disturbing picture. Satanic ritual abuse is a controversial topic. But not only is ritual abuse a real phenomenon, we believe it is more widespread than most of us realize. What's more--and more frightening--it appears that there is an ongoing, coordinated effort to use children, especially marginalized children from poor or broken homes, as sexual playthings for the wealthy and powerful. We talked about the Johnny Gosch case, which was a central thread to tonight's show. Johnny was abducted from Des Moines in 1982 at the age of 12, allegedly by a group working for a man named Lawrence King, owner of the Franklin Community Credit Union in Omaha, Nebraska. Johnny's mother hasn't seen him since--but he's back in the news. Earlier this year, it was revealed that a reporter for an Internet news site, Jeff Gannon, was actually James Guckert, a former male prostitute who had somehow managed to get security clearance to attend White House press briefings. Speculation began to circulate around the web that Gannon/Guckert was in fact the adult Johnny Gosch. What's especially disturbing about this case are the connections between Lawrence King, Boys Town, and power brokers in the Republican Party at the national level: One of the young men who testified in the Franklin Credit Union case was able to draw an accurate floor plan of the private living quarters inside the White House--where the public is never allowed. In addition to the Franklin case, we discussed recent cases of satanic abuse of children in Louisiana, Ohio, the U.K.; the involvement of the CIA in abducting children for use as prostitutes (and possible mind control purposes); and the connection of the recent death of “gonzo journalist” Hunter S. Thompson, Johnny Gosch, and a “snuff film” that may have been recorded at the Bohemian Grove, an annual retreat near Sacramento, California popular with powerful conservative politicians. What's being done to our children is dark and twisted, but it is definitely not limited to a few isolated cases of disturbed individuals. Today Is Pentecost, fifty days after Passover. It's the day the Holy Spirit descended on the followers of Jesus and the day Moses descended Mount Sinai with the Law. We discussed the similarities and differences between those two events. For example, the fire on Mount Sinai and the tongues of fire over the heads of the followers of Jesus; and the 3,000 saved on Pentecost in Acts chapter 2 contrasted with the 3000 who were put to death when Moses returned from Sinai to find the Israelites engaged in debauchery around the golden calf. We also discuss the change between the law on tablets of stone and the law written on our hearts. We bring in passages from Ezekiel 36 in which God promised to restore Israel to the land—not because the Israelites earned it, but for the sake of His Holy Name so that the world would know He is Yahweh. The arrival of the Ark of the Covenant in Jerusalem in the time of David is a foreshadowing of the prophesied return of our King to his earthly throne. This week, we flash back about 250 years to study four psalms we overlooked during the life of David. These Psalms of praise would have been written just after the arrival of the Ark of the Covenant in Jerusalem, as described in 1 Chronicles 13–16. We also discuss the covenants between God and Abraham, Moses, and David, and the difference between the unconditional covenants made with Abraham and David and the Sinaitic covenant with Moses. Though the Israelites, and later Jews, broke faith with God, there are promises. He made that were not dependent on the faithfulness of the people of Israel. Zechariah 12 and 14 tells us of a day when Messiah arrives in Jerusalem at the hour of Israel's greatest need. He will establish His eternal throne there: For the LORD has chosen Zion;he has desired it for his dwelling place:“This is my resting place forever;here I will dwell, for I have desired it. Forgive the boomer reference to the original Star Trek, but it's the best title we could come up with quickly. The messianic prophecy of the one called "the Branch" is the focus of this week's study. We explore the “already but not yet” fulfillment of the promises of the restoration of Israel and judgment against Israel's neighbors—which May have already found partial fulfillment in the wars fought by Israel since 1948. We discuss the seven Spirits of Isaiah 11:2 and the references to those Spirits in the book of Revelation and their relationship to Jesus. We also discussed these so-called Mandela verse, Isaiah 11:6. This is a reference to the Mandela Effect, an Internet meme from a few years ago that claimed time travelers had somehow gone back into history and changed the verse to read, “the wolf shall dwell with the lamb," from, "the lion shall lie down with the lamb." Let's be clear: Isaiah 11:6 never said the lion would lie down with the lamb. First of all, time travel is not a thing. Second, even if it was, God would never allow His Word to be changed. Anyone who suggests that this is possible is a false teacher who can safely be ignored. Are we really afraid God is that weak? OK, that title is clickbait. But it does relate to the biggest stories of the week: The ongoing conflict with Iran and the release of government UFO files. We discuss President Trump's quiet squeeze play on Iran, cutting off its access to a shadow banking system the regime has been using to finance missiles, mercenaries, and proxies on Israel's borders like Hezbollah and Hamas. We also explain why these moves are squeezing China, which will undoubtedly be a topic of discussion when President Trump meets with China's President Xi this week.  The other big story (or distraction, depending on your point of view) this week was the dump of UFO files at war.gov/ufo. ASSUR WAS a name that referred to Assyria, the capital city of Assyria, and the chief deity of Assyria. Knowing which was which means relying on the context in which it's used. In Derek's book The Second Coming of Saturn, he shared research, showing that the word used by the prophet Isaiah for idols, ellilim, derives from the Akkadian name for Assur, Elllil (also known as Enlil, El, Dagon, Molech, Kronos, and Saturn, among others). These idols, then, were spirit beings—underworld spirits equivalent to the Rephaim, or malakim, as they were known at the ancient Amorite kingdoms of Ebla and Mari. In short, we believe chapter 10 of Isaiah is a polemic against the entity called Assur, whom we believe is Shemihazah, the leader of the rebellious sons of God in chapter 6 of the book of Genesis. AS SOCIALISTS worldwide celebrated their annual high holy day, reports about the danger of artificial intelligence bubble under daily reports about Iran and the aftermath of the attempt on President Trump's life last Saturday.  A recent study found that eight out of ten popular AI models assisted researchers posing as 13-year-old boys in planning mass casualty events, despite assurances from developers that guardrails are in place to prevent such things. Taken together with the continued development of lethal autonomous weapons systems (LAWS), some of which are already making appearances on the battlefield in Ukraine, we speculate that entities in the unseen realm may be developing these systems for their own future goals.  That's speculation, of course, but not outside the realm of plausibility. However, most people remain blissfully, unaware, distracted by social media, sports, or the latest political cat fight on cable news. This is our continuing series pulled from archives going back to 2005. This week, we present a program from 2009 in which we summarized a conspiracy so vast it's come to be known as The Octopus. Originally released October 4, 2009 THE TITLE of tonight's show is a reference to the conspiracy investigated by journalist Danny Casolaro--whose death, despite the official ruling, remains a mystery. Casolaro believed it tied the United States government to the Inslaw case (a software company that accused the Justice Department of stealing its extremely powerful PROMIS case management software), the so-called “October Surprise” theory that Iran had held back the American hostages to help Ronald Reagan win the 1980 presidential election, the collapse of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International, and the Iran-Contra scandal. The scheme was so vast and complex that Casolaro referred to it as “the Octopus.” Casolaro was found dead in a hotel room in Martinsburg, West Virginia in August of 1991, his wrists slashed 10 to 12 times. His death was, of course, ruled a suicide. Casolaro's story might have continued its slow fade into the dusty corners of conspiracy theory folklore, except that charges were filed this week against a Miami-based missionary to Honduras named Jimmy Hughes for the 1981 slayings of Fred Alvarez and two associates in Rancho Mirage, California. It is believed that Alvarez was killed to silence him before he could carry out a threat to expose financial improprieties and other illegal activity on the Cabazon Indian reservation in Riverside County, California. Incredibly, what happened on Cabazon land in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s reaches around the world and into the highest levels of the US government -- part of Casolaro's “Octopus”. Central to the story (especially when he tells it) is the mysterious Michael Riconosciuto, now serving a 20-year sentence for production and distribution of meth. Understanding “the Octopus” is like the old story of the blind men trying to comprehend their first encounter with an elephant: the parts you touch can appear to be completely different and totally unrelated. Running over the outlines of the case in about half an hour, we didn't even mention mainstream media reports -- published prior to 9/11 -- that FBI spy Robert Hanssen sold an upgraded version of PROMIS to Russia, which in turn sold it to Osama bin Laden. It's believed Al Qaeda used the software to penetrate databases and move funds between banks without being detected by US counterterror groups. A PROMIS derivative was also allegedly used by Chinese military intelligence to steal nuclear secrets from the Los Alamos and Sandia national laboratories. So, like the Octopus, the tentacles extending from the modifications made by Michael Riconosciuto at the Cabazon reservation are many and far-reaching. Also: Ireland approves the Lisbon Treaty; President Obama strikes out in Copenhagen; the Ring of Fire heats up; the IMF becomes the world's central bank; and a scam in Montana. JUDGMENT ON evil kings and fallen angels is a major theme of the section of 1 Enoch called the Book of Parables.  This week, we discuss the vision of a deep valley where “angels of punishment” prepare “instruments of Satan” for kings and mighty men who've rebelled against God—and a second valley where “iron chains of immeasurable weight” are “prepared for the hosts of Azazel.” Our reading today ends with the prophecy of the final war against heathen powers. A STATUE of the goddess Athena has been discovered among the ruins of Laodicea—the site of the church Jesus said he would vomit out of his mouth. This is a fitting symbol for the world today. Athena is one manifestation of the ancient Sumerian goddess Inanna, a gender-fluid entity of sex and violence. If you've paid attention to the news over the last decade, you can see why we believe Inanna is the spirit of the age. Further, her descriptions in Sumerian texts are consistent with that of the woman in scarlet called Babylon the Great in Revelation 17. THE DESTRUCTION of Israel is a theme throughout the book of Amos, but it ends with a prophecy of restoration. The northern kingdom of Israel had engaged in idolatry since the time of Jeroboam, who split the kingdom of Solomon about 200 years before the time of Amos. For this, and for the treatment of the poor by Israel's elites, God decreed the destruction of the kingdom. This was to be fulfilled more than once – first, when Assyria destroyed the northern kingdom in 722 BC; and second, when the Romans scattered the Jews after the rebellion of Simon bar Kokhba in 136 AD. And yet, God told Amos a day would come when the Lord would restore Israel to the land. The reference to "the booth of David" must include the southern kingdom of Judah, since that was where the descendants of David ruled. This was fulfilled in 1948. We believe the prophet Ezekiel also saw this (Ezekiel 36:22–24). IRAN HAS decided to play red light, green light with the Strait of Hormuz. Less than 24 hours after President Trump announced the opening of the critical waterway, Iran declared it closed again. Further, two Indian flagged tankers reportedly came under fire from Iranian speedboats. This suggests that negotiations between the US and Iran over a peaceful resolution to Operation Epic Fury are simply a stalling tactic by the Iranian regime, perhaps counting on Democrats winning the midterm elections or even the 2028 presidential election. Given the way Presidents Biden and Obama willingly sent billions of dollars to Tehran, you can hardly blame them. We discuss the bind into which Iran has placed China, which gets up to 20% of its oil imports from the Islamic regime – at a deep discount because Iran has few buyers for its oil due to sanctions. This is exacerbated by China's loss of access to Venezuelan oil. As a result, China has had to suddenly ramp up its purchases of American oil to roughly $10 billion worth per month. In addition, the United States just signed a defense agreement with Indonesia. That nation sits on the west side of the cap, Strait of Malacca, a waterway even more critical to China's oil imports than the Strait of Hormuz. And to make things more interesting, American oil sails through the Panama Canal, which is now once again under American control, thanks to President Trump. In short, the United States now controls China's access to about 25% of its oil imports, and has military control over waterways through which about 80% of Chinese oil imports flow, for which the Chinese must now pay full price. This may be President Trump's way of responding to China's threats to control American access to critical rare earth minerals. We also discuss the corrupting influence of social media on sharing the gospel. Children now graduate high school so reliant on artificial intelligence that they literally don't see the need to read anything longer than a menu. In a nutshell, the Divine Council is the group of divine beings -- seraphim, cherubim, and malakim -- who make up the court of God. It's referenced most notably in I Kings 22:19-23 and Psalm 82. The rebellion of the fallen angels has taken place in several stages: The “serpent” in Eden;The Watchers of Genesis chapter 6, whose interaction with human women produced the Nephilim;The seventy “sons of God” (bene elohim) who were placed over the nations after the incident at the Tower of Babel. Those 70 bene elohim became the gods of the nations around the ancient Hebrews: Marduk, Molech, Chemosh, Baal, Asherah, Dagon, and the rest. They are still with us, and their goal is the destruction of mankind. Next week, we'll discuss with Mike how this is all tied to the UFO phenomenon.
