After 200 years of idolatry, God finally allowed the northern kingdom of Israel to be destroyed and the people carried off by Assyria. Meanwhile, the southern kingdom of Judah was being ruled the young, foolish, idolatrous King Ahaz. After being defeated in battle by the Aramean Kingdom of Damascus, Ahaz decided to worship the gods of Syria rather than turning to God for help. He also sacrificed his son to Molech in the Valley of Hinnom southwest of Jerusalem. Then he turned to the Assyrians for help against Israel, Syria, and Edom, cutting up fixtures in the Temple to send to Assyria as tribute. Needless to say, God was not pleased. Apparently, neither were the people of Judah. Ahaz was buried in the City of David rather than in the tombs of the kings of his forefathers. THE WORST outbreak of Ebola in history is underway in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Many will respond to that news with skepticism given the way we were propagandized during the COVID outbreak five years ago. But facts are facts: Nearly 1600 people have died thus far in the outbreak and it's spreading much faster than the 2014 outbreak in West Africa. The infection fatality rate is upwards of 40%. By comparison, COVID only had an IFR of about 0.2%. In addition, this particular strain of Ebola has an incubation period of up to three weeks. That means somebody who appears to be well could conceivably travel on an international flight and bring the virus to another continent. So, fear mongering in this case is probably justified. Speaking of fear, a robotics company called Satyress has announced a new robot that looks like a giant metallic praying mantis with the head of a goat. It is ostensibly intended for jobs too dangerous for humans, like search and rescue missions after a natural disaster. However, it looks like Baphomet with an extra set of legs. That begs the question: What in the world were the designers thinking? We also discuss the invasion of the Spanish enclave of Ceuta by 60,000 military age men from Morocco. This is a very bad look for the pro-immigration leaders of the European Union and progressive Democrats here in the United States. Also: Mayor Mamdani promises his city-run grocery stores will sell groceries at 30% below average cost elsewhere. That math don't math. It's PID Radio's Throwback Thursday. This week, we present a 2007 interview with researcher and author Kate Iola about America's vulnerability to disruption of our food supply through agricultural terror. Originally released June 3, 2007 OUR SUMMER “archive series” continues with an interview culled from Derek's radio program on The Eagle 93.9 (KSSZ-FM) in Columbia, Missouri. His guest on Friday, May 25, 2007 was agroterror expert Kate Iola. Kate has a master's degree in Molecular Pathology from the University of California-San Diego, and three issued patents. She started reporting on FMD (foot-and-mouth disease) in 1999. In 2000, she decided someone needed to tell the bizarre — and, unfortunately, true — story of the threat of FMD. Just as Sharon did with avian flu in The Armageddon Strain, Kate chose to spread the word about FMD with fiction. Her novel Deadstock is a chilling look at the ease with which America's agriculture industry could be brought to its knees. Derek and Kate also talked about the Department of Homeland Security's proposed new bioweapons lab, the National Bio and Agro Defense Facility (NBAF). Columbia is one of 17 contenders to host this BSL-4 laboratory, and Kate is raising a red flag. Placing a lab that studies FMD in the middle of America's beef and pork producing territory raises some serious security issues. This week, Dr. Orrel Steinkamp revealed the mythology underlying Dominion theology, the belief that Christians must conquer the world before Jesus can return from heaven.  First released May 30, 2010 THEY CALL themselves Christians but the mythology underlying their beliefs has little to do with Christ.  To Dominionists, Jesus' return to Earth is on hold, waiting for us to conquer it first. Dr. Orrel Steinkamp has been watching and writing about Dominion theology for nearly 15 years, and he says 2010 is a banner year for the movement. Leaders in the Dominionist New Apostolic Reformation are being mainstreamed, riding the wave of protest against the policies of Barack Obama and his congressional allies to political power. THE STORY of Frankenstein and his monster can be read as a tale of daddy issues with catastrophic consequences. After several chapters of prophecies of destruction at the hands of the Assyrians, Micah concludes his book with a promise of restoration for the people of Israel. Although there are some differences between the Masoretic text on which the old Testament of our English Bibles is based and the Septuagint, which was translated from Hebrew into Greek by about 200 BC, the overall message is the same: God will chastise His people for their behavior, but He will bless the remnant who repent and return to Him. THE WAR between the deep state and President Trump escalated this week when the president declassified documents revealing treasonous acts by elements within the CIA and FBI leading up to the 2020 election.  This is a reminder that presidents don't have as much control over the United States government as we (or they) think. The irony is that the clever operatives in the intelligence community are not the ones ultimately in control of world events. As Paul wrote to the church at Ephesus, "we wrestle not against flesh and blood." In other words, events in the news are simply shadows of the real struggle taking place in the unseen realm. It's PID Radio's Throwback Thursday. Nearly 20 years ago, the Middle East—specifically Iran and Iraq—were at the center of the news cycle. Some things never change. Originally released February 25, 2007 WE'RE back with our first blather in weeks and it felt good to run through an hour of news analysis again! First things first: P.I.D. The miniseries was a well-written and tightly directed political thriller that offers a glimpse into what might happen inside the halls of power in Washington, D.C. Wars are basically marketing ploys to drum up business for the military industrial complex back here at home. Meanwhile, it's back to blather on the news of the day. A remarkable development that has been little noticed by the major media: A group of American generals has apparently let it be known that they will quit if President Bush orders an attack on Iran. In addition, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Peter Pace, has said there is “no chance” of the U.S. going to war with Iran. In addition, a story that's set to break next week at the Intelligence Summit in Tampa reveals that Saddam had an active nuke program in 2002 and 2003. During the last six months of 2002, Saddam apparently built four very expensive nuclear storage and production facilities underneath the Euphrates River. Let's see how this is played in the media. The Bible foretells a mysterious character called “the Assyrian” who seems to have a role in the end times war against Israel. Who is he?  What's odd is the Hebrew text of Micah 5:5–6 (and Isaiah 14:25, 31:8, and 52:4) lacks the definite article “the.” In other words, there is no “the Assyrian” in the Old Testament.  The Hebrew word Assur can referred to Assyria, its capital city, or its chief deity, who was the equivalent of the Sumerian/Babylonian god Enlil (called Ellil in Akkad), El of Canaan, Dagon of the Philistines, and Milcom of Ammon—and thus Molech, the netherworld god who demanded the sacrifice of children from his followers.  We believe the passages in Micah are an “already but not yet” prophecy, referring to the imminent conquest of the northern kingdom of Israel by Assyria, which occurred during Micah's lifetime in 722 BC, and a future return of Assur in the end times as the Destroyer, Abaddon/Apollyon, who is released from the abyss for five months to torment those without the seal of God on their foreheads.  Sharon's niece, Sarah Sachleben, has been battling stage 4 bowel cancer and the medical bills are piling up. NEW YORK CITY Mayor Zohran Mamdani is the smiling face of communism. The ruling elites of ancient Israel were compared to cannibals eating the flesh of those they were supposed to protect. We continue with the prophet Micah's polemic against ancient Israel's ruling class, who apparently took advantage of the poor and downtrodden. For that reason, God told Micah to prophesy a day of judgment that would bring destruction on the rich and powerful. It's Wayback Wednesday, with another interview from our archives. This week, in response to the new Steven Spielberg film Disclosure Day, we present our interview with paranormal researcher and author Nick Redfern about his book Final Events. First released October 23, 2010 IT'S RARE that new information emerges in UFO research, but we're honored this week to feature a man who's managed to disclose the existence of a group that's remained under the radar of ufologists for over 60 years. Researcher and author Nick Redfern discusses his new book Final Events and the Secret Government Group on Demonic UFOs and the Afterlife, in which he describes a secret group inside the U.S. intelligence community called the Collins Elite. Formed in the wake of the 1947 Roswell crash, the Collins Elite came to believe that UFOs are the product of fallen angels who want to harvest human souls, and that radical action — imposition of an Old Testament form of morals and dogma on a planetary scale — is needed to save humanity from a hellish end. Final Events is a must-read for anyone who sees through the thin scientific veneer of the UFO phenomenon. The Collins Elite, if Redfern's sources were telling the truth, are not Christians. Christ never called his followers to literally conquer the world and make disciples by force, which logic tells us doesn't work anyway. Who would have thought Steven Spielberg could make a boring movie about aliens? Spielberg's first major film in 10 years, Disclosure Day, was released Friday to mixed reviews. I haven't seen the film, but based on the reviews of those who have my sense is that the movie is about an hour too long and 30 years out of date. For example, the movie is described as a long chase scene in which the two protagonists are trying to reach a television studio to share proof of the existence of extraterrestrial life. Pardon me, but who actually believes the mainstream media anymore? Spielberg may be showing his age, but pretty much everyone under the age of 75 knows that anyone with the laptop and Wi-Fi could get the same information out to the entire world, faster, easier, and with a better chance of being believed than by racing a team of trained security professionals to a broadcast news studio. This movie would have been received a lot better during the height of the popularity of The X-Files.  Meanwhile, aliens of a different type have the United Kingdom rising up in protest after several incidents where new arrivals to the UK took bladed weapons to people of European ancestry. Citizens of the UK want elected officials who have foisted unrestricted immigration on their constituents, held accountable for streets that are increasingly unsafe and budgets that are increasingly unbalanced because of the imported diversity. The prophet Micah, a contemporary of Isaiah, prophesied the coming judgment of God on the kingdoms of Israel and Judah at the hand of the Assyrians. Our chronological reading order brings the book of Micah into the middle of our study of Isaiah. While Isaiah prophesied a day when the kingdom of Judah would declare, “God is my salvation,” Micah's prophecy is a warning of God's imminent judgment for the sins of Judah and Samaria. We see both prophecies as being of the “already but not yet” type, fulfilled in the eighth century BC, but with a future fulfillment still to come. Bear in mind when reading Isaiah 12 that the the Hebrew word translated “salvation” is Yeshua—Jesus. THE ALIENS have landed with a thud. Although some have praised the new Steven Spielberg film Disclosure Day, many reviewers are less than overwhelmed. The world is being prepped for the disclosure of the existence of extraterrestrial life. The church needs to be ready with answers. If it was possible to have a coin with three sides, this might be it. We discuss the Discovery of the remains of an employee of Los Alamos National Laboratory, who had gone missing 11 months ago. She reportedly performed a factory reset on both her phones and walked out into the desert. Melissa Casias is one of at least 11 people who have disappeared or died with connections to sensitive government programs related to the UFO phenomenon. Investigators say there is nothing to indicate foul play, but we remain skeptical. Meanwhile, the archbishop of Washington, D.C. removed a priest as an exorcist for the archdiocese after Monsignor Stephen Rossetti posted a video to his Facebook page connecting demons to the UFO phenomenon. While we don't entirely agree with Monsignor Rossetti's understanding, he's not entirely wrong. We also discussed a call by the cofounder of Anthropic, the developers of Claude, AI, for a pause on development of artificial intelligence because of his concern that Large Language Models are on the verge of full recursive self-improvement, meaning artificial intelligence could soon escape any restraints placed on it by humans. In other words, AI is closer to achieving the singularity than we think. Finally, we discussed strange news reports from New York City of men in full protective gear, wearing night goggles, descending into the sewer system at night and re-emerging several hours later. Police don't know what they've been doing down there, but they say at this point there is no threat to public safety. Again, we remain skeptical. A VISION of Noah was inserted into the Book of 1 Enoch, with interesting references to Leviathan and Behemoth. These are chaos monsters. Leviathan, described as female and from the sea, and Behemoth, male and occupying the wilderness—possibly the same one into which the Watcher Azazel was thrown as punishment for his role in corrupting humanity. We discussed the “already but not yet” prophecies of 1 Enoch 57–59 and the end times fulfillment of the vision ascribed to Noah in chapter 60. As a reminder, this month's study comes from the Book of Parables, the prophetic section of 1 Enoch written just before the birth of Jesus. The importance of this section of the book is in its prophecies of a coming messianic figure called the Chosen One, the Anointed One, and, most frequently, the Son of Man, a title not found in any prior Jewish writing. Jesus referred to himself as the Son of Man 78 times in the New Testament. The high regard for 1 Enoch held by Jesus, the apostles, and the early church suggests that it's worth our while to study this book for ourselves. It's not in the Bible, nor should it be, but there are teachings in the New Testament that come straight from the book of 1 Enoch. This is our continuing series pulled from archives going back to 2005. This week, we go through the looking glass in a 2005 episode that shows why we call this program Peering Into Darkness Radio. Originally released June 6, 2005 This week's PID Radio connects some dots to reveal a very disturbing picture. Satanic ritual abuse is a controversial topic. But not only is ritual abuse a real phenomenon, we believe it is more widespread than most of us realize. What's more--and more frightening--it appears that there is an ongoing, coordinated effort to use children, especially marginalized children from poor or broken homes, as sexual playthings for the wealthy and powerful. We talked about the Johnny Gosch case, which was a central thread to tonight's show. Johnny was abducted from Des Moines in 1982 at the age of 12, allegedly by a group working for a man named Lawrence King, owner of the Franklin Community Credit Union in Omaha, Nebraska. Johnny's mother hasn't seen him since--but he's back in the news. Earlier this year, it was revealed that a reporter for an Internet news site, Jeff Gannon, was actually James Guckert, a former male prostitute who had somehow managed to get security clearance to attend White House press briefings. Speculation began to circulate around the web that Gannon/Guckert was in fact the adult Johnny Gosch. What's especially disturbing about this case are the connections between Lawrence King, Boys Town, and power brokers in the Republican Party at the national level: One of the young men who testified in the Franklin Credit Union case was able to draw an accurate floor plan of the private living quarters inside the White House--where the public is never allowed. In addition to the Franklin case, we discussed recent cases of satanic abuse of children in Louisiana, Ohio, the U.K.; the involvement of the CIA in abducting children for use as prostitutes (and possible mind control purposes); and the connection of the recent death of “gonzo journalist” Hunter S. Thompson, Johnny Gosch, and a “snuff film” that may have been recorded at the Bohemian Grove, an annual retreat near Sacramento, California popular with powerful conservative politicians. What's being done to our children is dark and twisted, but it is definitely not limited to a few isolated cases of disturbed individuals. Today Is Pentecost, fifty days after Passover. It's the day the Holy Spirit descended on the followers of Jesus and the day Moses descended Mount Sinai with the Law. We discussed the similarities and differences between those two events. For example, the fire on Mount Sinai and the tongues of fire over the heads of the followers of Jesus; and the 3,000 saved on Pentecost in Acts chapter 2 contrasted with the 3000 who were put to death when Moses returned from Sinai to find the Israelites engaged in debauchery around the golden calf. We also discuss the change between the law on tablets of stone and the law written on our hearts. We bring in passages from Ezekiel 36 in which God promised to restore Israel to the land—not because the Israelites earned it, but for the sake of His Holy Name so that the world would know He is Yahweh. This was fulfilled in 1948. A CONVERGENCE between the pagan world of gods and magic and the high-tech world of artificial intelligence is creating a strange Venn diagram wherein the lines between silicon and spirit are getting blurry. We discuss the use of AI by people seeking spiritual enlightenment and the development of a digital futurist that appeared at this year's South by Southwest event, Delph.ai—a reference to the oracle of Delphi, the most famous of the women in the ancient world who ostensibly passed along messages from the god Apollo. The arrival of the Ark of the Covenant in Jerusalem in the time of David is a foreshadowing of the prophesied return of our King to his earthly throne. This week, we flash back about 250 years to study four psalms we overlooked during the life of David. These Psalms of praise would have been written just after the arrival of the Ark of the Covenant in Jerusalem, as described in 1 Chronicles 13–16. We also discuss the covenants between God and Abraham, Moses, and David, and the difference between the unconditional covenants made with Abraham and David and the Sinaitic covenant with Moses. Though the Israelites, and later Jews, broke faith with God, there are promises. He made that were not dependent on the faithfulness of the people of Israel. Zechariah 12 and 14 tells us of a day when Messiah arrives in Jerusalem at the hour of Israel's greatest need. He will establish His eternal throne there: For the LORD has chosen Zion;he has desired it for his dwelling place:“This is my resting place forever;here I will dwell, for I have desired it. The church needs to figure out what to do about Israel. Since the second century, a wedge has been driven between Christians and Jews. Sadly, Christians have often been guilty of pouring gasoline on this long–smoldering fire. It happened again after the massacre committed by Hamas on October 7, 2023. Our guest, Ran Silberman, is a messianic Jew and a professional tour guide in Israel. He can speak to the subject of Jew hatred in the church from a unique perspective—not only is he a Christian living in Israel, but he is also a Jew.
