In this episode of Born to Create, I sit down with New York City-born DJ, producer, and audio engineer Mike Salvione, a powerhouse in the electronic music world with an unmatched passion for House music. Known for blending House, Funk, and Tech into hard-hitting tracks that dominate dance floors, Salvione has made waves in the industry with releases on major labels like Toolroom and chart-topping hits on Beatport, earning praise from legends like Nic Fanciulli, Roger Sanchez, and Christian Nielsen. Salvione's journey is one of reinvention and relentless drive. From engineering for his musical idol Danny Tenaglia to headlining iconic venues like Ministry of Sound in London, Pacha NYC, and Ibiza Rocks, his story is a testament to the power of faith, sacrifice, and staying true to your craft. In our conversation, Salvione shares how he left behind a doctorate to pursue his dream of music, the mindset it takes to achieve success, and the vision behind his brand, Elevated, which seeks to raise the vibration of the electronic music community. We explore the milestones that have defined his career, including his Ibiza residency, the launch of his Elevated Academy to mentor up-and-coming producers, and his innovative work with binaural beats to elevate the music experience. Salvione also offers practical advice on navigating the music industry, balancing passion with life's demands, and achieving goals through small, consistent steps. Whether you're an artist, a dreamer, or a fan of electronic music, this episode is packed with inspiration and wisdom. Tune in to learn:

Horatio Presents Ibizaholic Radioshow Episode 53 + Special Guest CEVIN FISHER @importtracks is a seasoned DJ-Producer. He has performed at some of NYC's most influential venues, like Paradise Garage, Zanzibar, the Loft, and Pacha NYC. Before his production days, he remixed Chaka Khan's “Love You All My Lifetime” and Quincy Jones' “I'll Be Good to You”, which debuted at #1 on the US Billboard Dance Chart. He produced “House is a Feeling” and “Hands On Love” with Cliff in the early ‘90s, gaining respect from the Strickly Rhythm label. Danny Tenaglia told him that he needed to go out on his own and make his own music. He iterated that Cevin had serious talent and could make it on his own. That night, he saw a sign on the highway on the way home that read “Find Your Own Road,” and was inspired at that very moment to produce “The Way We Use To” and “Check This Out”. Some of these songs were used in sets across the world by Sasha & Digweed, David Morales, Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, and Louie Vega. He is best known for songs such as “The Freaks Come Out” , “Women Beat they Men”, and “(You Got Me) Burning Up,” the latter of which featured vocals by Loleatta Holloway. What is so unique about Cevin is his connection with the crowd, constantly throwing in live sounds and edits that keep the audience jumping. His worldliness has toned his DJ muscles, and he can keep a club going for hours. Explosive beats, captivating vocals, deep house vibes, and tribal rhythms are his notable strengths. “My biggest inspiration comes from being immersed in music in the DJ booth and being able to express myself by sharing that feeling with fans on the dance floor. That is the ultimate high.” –Cevin Fisher

On July 12, 2018... I released the first ever episode of Philosophy 101… 3 years later.. here we are… Philosophy family.. can you believe it?! I have 3 things to say to all of you; THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! & THANK YOU!!! There are not enough words to express the copious amounts of gratitude that I have for every single person who has supported from the start... From the team who has helped me transform Philosophy 101 into what it is today.. to anyone who has listened to every episode or just one episode.. and most importantly; the universal gratitude that I have for EVERY.. SINGLE.. House-Head that I've ever had the pleasure of having a conversation with, or just simply having shared a dance floor with you over my 29 years of existence… Seriously if you were to tell me 3 years ago, that not only will this podcast be listened to on every continent, throughout 75 different countries, & will have generated over 10K listens... Swear on my moms I would have told you; “Pass me whatever it is that you're smoking on because that sounds like some real fire shit & I want some”… And thennn... if you were to tell me that 6 months into releasing this podcast series, I would then be presented the opportunity to transform Philosophy 101 into an event series. That would not only take over some of Las Vegas' biggest nightclubs, but would enable me to headline open-close sets playing all different kinds of underground noises… And thennnnnn.. that would help to facilitate bringing Philosophy 101 back to my hometown of NYC, & most recently assist in being booked to be the headlining artist for a promenade record label's first 2021 label showcase in Los Angeles representing the Philosophy|CLV moniker... All the whilst, morphing Philosophy 101 into a DJ Collective consisting of likeminded individuals; some of whom I've known for over a decade... But were chosen not based off of how great their DJ skills are, or how well known they are, or where they have played, or how many people they can put through the door... But rather on the purest fact of; real recognize real… This music is who I am… This music has been shaping my life ever since I bought my first underground house 12” vinyl nearly 16 years ago… DJ Pierre aka The Godfather of acid house himself, once said; "Anything that starts off underground is house.. I don't care how big it gets.. if it started out underground.. then it's house!" House isn't just a type of music..it's a way of life..it's a culture..it's an ideology..and for those of us who started chasing this rabbit a long long time ago..we haven't left the rabbit hole since... This is the first Philosophy episode that I can truly say I left a piece of my soul inside of forever. Not only is this mix completely different than how I normally play... It is a beautiful, only can happen in the moment, on the fly, type of journey that explores my 3 favorite era's/decades of house... We starting off with what's closest to my heart.. the 2005-2010 golden era of NYC's tribal that I spent countless hours inside the walls of Pacha NYC, Cielo, & Asseteria listening too… Then rewinding back into the late 90s-early 2000's with that real Sound Factory era type sounds of Johnny Vicious, Jonathan Peters, Robbie Tronco, Sal Parm aka Plasmic Honey, & so on… And finally to round it out by ending off with what started it all; disco classics, original house classics/remixes/edits/reworks, & of course timeless vocals laid over a beautiful 4x4 beat... I hope you enjoy this 3 hour pilgrimage through the sounds of house as much as I did… I love you all... -Nick

www.yellowatthelight.com 2020... What a wild ride you've been. Anyone wish they had a Time Machine?? I Got You. It's been pretty fun to wrap up the year and go down memory lane remembering all the amazing times that we've shared, and really how different some things are than they used to be... For me, it really reminded me of how the music I used to play then was so electro and intense, and awesome. Even though I don't rock that much of it anymore, it really was an awesome era, and I remember being so amped because Bart B More was one of my all time favorites back then, and the basement in Pacha NYC was packed with our friends, absolutely raging with us. To all the friendships, fans, and family that came out of those days, it really will be some of my favorite memories ever, thanks to you guys... you know who you are

Cheric: Eric Chen New York, NY Progressive, Techno, Deep, House Baroque Music Cinematique Music (Manual Music) Majestic Family Records Euanthe Records Intimate Project Music Incepto Music Inmost Records Bullfinch Records Tears Recordings Biography: Although he wasn't to keen on it as a youth, Eric has always played a musical instrument. Never did he imagine that someday it would help shape his career. It was the early 2000's that he first was introduced to House Music. He attended clubs in New York like Exit, Arc, and Sound Factory. One night he was at Arc for Danny Tenaglia's "Be Yourself" party and all it took was one moment and one song set him on the path to become a DJ. Spending the most of that decade learning the art of beatmatching and mixing with vinyl, he eventually started to gain local attention with some promoters. In 2007, under the name "Cheric" he landed his first residency at Rebel NYC. A year later, he went to become a resident for ILoveHouseMusicNYC.com which eventually led to his first big break in 2010 with the Groove Cruise Miami. 2010 was also the same year he decided he wanted to produce the music and not just play it. While learning how to produce, he created a group called Static & Bass with a childhood friend and Trance DJ. The duo went on to become residents at Pacha NYC and in 2013 they won the Discovery Project and was invited to play his first Festival at EDC NY. Uninspired by the direction his music was taking him, in 2015 he went solo and completely changed his sound. "I wanted to go back to my House and Deep House roots, I wasn't enjoying the music anymore" The past 2 years Eric has "matured" his sound to the Progressive and Deep influences that started it all... ссылка ссылка

www.yellowatthelight.com Hello World! How are we feeling out there on this beautiful day? I'm super excited to bring you my newest podcast, Through The Looking Glass. It's really a Thank You set for all of my friends out there who have supported Yellow@TheLight over the years… It's amazing to see how much of an effect wonderful people can have on you, and your music tastes, preferences, insights, and overall attitude about life. I recently played a gig with my dude Will Divide (www.iwilldivide.com) and the Escape Artists (www.escapeartistscollective.com) which was a beautiful exhibition of Art, Music, Food, and most of all, Love. Let me just say, there was so much talent in this room that I was honored to even be among them at the time of their latest production, Escape Through The Looking Glass. The vibe was on fire and I was pretty much on Cloud 9 the entire set, which I'm sure will show in the videos when they drop… But it's just such a pleasure to be able to share music and happiness and love with all of you and to see the increasing numbers of people from all over the world who are kind enough to lend me their ears, even if for a moment, is the most amazing thing I have ever accomplished. www.yellowatthelight.com What's going on everybody! This is a set I put together after being stuck in the epic snowstorm we just had in NYC. Been listening to a lot of Mark Farina and a bunch of super downtempo jams and decided I would put a set together for you guys. It's nice to see how times change, and how some artists and musicians can have releases that are super different from the stuff that they usually put out. I figured it was time for one myself. This set is a thank you for all of the gigs, and parties and artists that I've enjoyed over the years @ Pacha NYC, and all of the other clubs that I've played since starting this journey 8 years ago. It's been an amazing pleasure and I'm honored to still have you guys listening and supporting. So without further ado, here is by far the chillest, funkiest, most downtempo set I've ever put together. And it was a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. This was such an amazing production, with some really talented people… Check out http://escapeartists411.com/#hello for more info! Third Party - Everyday Of My Life (Original Mix) Dirtywork is a DJ and producer from Hoboken, New Jersey. He has been a musician for most of his life starting with the saxophone at the young age of 8. Eventually, he moved onto piano and started writing music in his early teens. As the years went on his love for music and it's performance only grew. While attending the University at Buffalo, his primary focus was on Web Design, but he did not let his musicality collect dust. He enrolled into music theory and practice courses and then while searching for new music discovered his first influence - Tiësto. It was at this point that his love for electronic music would increase exponentially. In the summer of 2010, huge releases from Axwell, Steve Angello, Kaskade, Fedde Le Grand and more would only help to fuel his desire to immerse himself further into the world of electronic music. Spring of 2013 would mark as the turning point in Dirtywork's career. With his first release 'Last Stand' hitting beatport in April on Soulves Records, it was only a matter of time before he was noticed by notable acts. A few weeks later, he released a track 'Sonic Boom' for free and it was featured on Felix Cartal's weekly podcast as Track of the Week. Following suit was his progressive anthem 'Miami' and then a cinematic electro banger 'Bondurant' released on Chill Beat Records among some notables as East & Young and Justin Strikes. His release 'Time' in November 2013 was done together with Beatport #1 singer and songwriter Corey Andrew. Just a few short months later, Dirtywork began cementing himself in the house scene as a force to be reckoned with. His winning entry for Chris Avantgarde's 'Rise Up' remix competition was followed by support from Tiësto, Steve Angello, Marcus Schossow, Feenixpawl, Henrix and more for his upcoming tracks and mashups. May 2014 marked his debut at Pacha NYC with his return forthcoming in Summer 2014 along with other forays into some of the hottest clubs in the New York City area. soundcloud.com/dirtyworkdj facebook.com/dirtyworkdjtwitter.com/dirtyworkdj

Rod B. & Mareis bring you the Miami Sessions @ Miami Underground Movement At age 17, when most girls her age were preparing for dinner dates and parental escorts, Dani Lehman was busy trading her only prom dress for a pair of headphones and an electronic dream. Captivated by what she saw as a world driven by a beat with dark emotion, Dani Lehman built her name from the bottom of the underground warehouses of Philadelphia as a teen, to the top of the main room Pacha NYC, Cielo, District 36 and Sullivan Room to Ultra Music Festival in Miami and headlining her first international tour as a young adult. Dani has also been sighted playing along side djs such as Sasha, M.A.N.D.Y., Josh Wink, Adultnapper, Sharam, Avicii and many more. With no intention of stopping, Dani quickly moved her way up in the community and now plans to expand her talents in the studio and throughout the dj world as a whole. As her career continues to grow, Dani remains true to the local spots she loves the most, loyal to but standing out among her peers as a DJ with a strong history and an even stronger future. Known for her dark sexy groovy bass heavy beats, Dani Lehman is a DJ’s DJ who plays straight from the heart, riding with a personal sense of freedom that only compliments her vastly unique and sophisticated sound. The headphones tattooed on her neck say it all: Dani Lehman as a dj is not just a sound or a name… it’s a way of living Life More Info: https://facebook.com/djdanilehman http://soundcloud.com/dani-lehman

For this, the final RIPEcast of 2012, the Space Cowboys are pleased to welcome our East Coast breakbeat brothers-in-arms, the Vitamin B crew from Brooklyn. Now the longest-running (and only) monthly breaks party in New York City, Vitamin B eschews mandatory costumes, expensive tickets, velvet ropes, and all attendant bullsh*t in favor of cheap booze, good times, and booty-shaking beats.  On the first Friday of every month, residents Tektite, Tim the Enchanter, and Barney Iller bring their signature blend of slutty, high-energy breakbeats to Bushwick’s House of Yes, raising eyebrows and lowering inhibitions with every track. The Vitamin B sound goes beyond breakbeat to explore the outer regions of syncopated rhythm, with elements of electro, bassline, Baltimore club, UK garage, old school hardcore, dnb, and a tasteful smattering of soulful house. The surgeon general warns that listening to this mix may result in sore feet, neon urine, and an inability to locate one’s pants. The Vitamin B crew recently played to a capacity crowd in the main room of the legendary Pacha NYC. Special guest headliners have included DJ FIXX, Udachi, Munchi, Ursula1000, Wavewhore, Michna aka Egg Foo Young, Ninelives the Cat, Morsy, Raydeus, J*Labs (Black 22’s), Duane Harriot, Lee Mayjahs?, $mall ¢hange, Alex Funk, Sequoia, and Tarquin. Upcoming guests include Deekline (2/1/2013) and Zinc (3/1/2013) – so if you find yourself in Brooklyn, c’mon out and dance! Welcome back to another week of Universal Rhythm Sessions. This week we are bringing you a little treat from one of NYC's greats!DJ, Producer & Remixer Rob Mirage has been a part of the music game for more than fifteen years now. Starting out as just a kid on the streets of New York City playing local gigs and club hopping throughout, Mirage has formed an influence that is definitely no major secret. These incredible nights opened this young DJ's eyes to a whole new world that he just had to be a part of. Rob's passion for house music grew as he listened night after night on the dance floors of Limelight, Palladium and Tunnel. It was then that he knew house music would be a part of his life infinitely.  With 2011 here and 100 plus releases worldwide, Rob has definitely made his mark amongst the best. From topping Beatport to Billboard as well as Underground dance music charts, Mirage seems to conceal every single perspective. Best known to his peers for his versatility, he continues to amaze the club scene with his unique and pumping sound that ranges from the very deepest of house to the nastiest depths of the genre. Having countless releases on monster labels such as Defected, Strictly Rhythm, Stealth, Star 69, and Stereo are just but a few trophies on the huge list of Rob's accomplishments. Along with his steady stream of massive releases he has also signed and licensed several tracks to high profile names like Simon Dunmore, Roger Sanchez, Mark Knight, Carl Cox, Chus & Ceballos, Bob Sinclar and many more . Rob Mirage is without a doubt a busy man these days. Aside from his Productions, Rob has been upholding an exceptionally tight schedule traveling the world DJing, with a broad fan base that ensures he is playing all year long. In his hometown of New York he is a proven crowd pleaser as he DJs all the Main Rooms including the world famous Pacha NYC, Cielo, Sullivan Room, Love, Arena and more. New York is most definitely home base for this rising star. The way a New York City crowd greets him with their screams and whistles, is more than a testament to his popularity here.Early 2010 brought Rob much success as he partnered up with legendary DJ Chus for the Back 2 NY EP,which was promptly signed to Defected Records. Rob's latest venture, a record label, was structured to finally give the world a taste of his Nirvana. For the past seventeen years, Mirage has garnered countless successful productions that were signed to some of the most prominent house labels of our time but now these records have a new home, appropriately named Nirvana Recordings. Heading this soon to be massive independent record label is a dream come reality, Rob exclaims. With massive names already members of his ship, such as DJ Chus, Supernova, Sabb, David Herrero, Chris Soul, Richie Santana, and the label head himself to name a few, this label will undoubtedly cause a stir amongst the industry ranks.Nirvana's debut in early March of 2010, Back Home EP, streamlined a tidal wave of overwhelming support from industry veterans and newcomers alike. His follow-up releases, Flamenco, and the Xima EP, were also very well received but the grand slam was still yet to come. This is Nirvana 2011, adigital compilation, was released as a Beatport exclusive January 2011 to kick the new year into high gear for the already prominent label. And this release did just that and more! With fourteen tracks included on the compilation it has done extremely well on the Beatport charts worldwide, and has garnered a tremendous amount of licensing interest. Nirvana's accomplishments also include one of the tracks hitting # 1 and steady on the chart for over a month. Several of the fourteen tracks also hit top ten in the Beatport charts, as well as many in Beatport's Top 100. Rob Mirage is definitely making some major moves in this crazy world of House Music. His reputation as a talented young artist has really come to speak for itself.  Through his devotion, desire, and passion for his music, Rob will continue to bring us exactly what we come to expect from him.“Nirvana will be a label that I utilize as an outlet through which I can express myself. I have found my identity in the studio and it feels amazing. I set aside all the distractions of the industry and placed my focus back where it belongs, House Music. It is where I begin and end, it is my Nirvana”… Rob MirageWe hope you enjoy this mix Rob sent us from his Nirvana Recordings Podcast here is Rob Mirage! For more on Rob Mirage and Nirvana Recordings make sure to check out the Facebook links below. Welcome back to another week of Universal Rhythm Sessions. This week we are bringing you a little treat from one of NYC's greats! DJ, Producer & Remixer Rob Mirage has been a part of the music game for more than fifteen years now. The way a New York City crowd greets him with their screams and whistles, is more than a testament to his popularity here. Early 2010 brought Rob much success as he partnered up with legendary DJ Chus for the Back 2 NY EP,which was promptly signed to Defected Records.  Rob’s latest venture, a record label, was structured to finally give the world a taste of his Nirvana. Welcome back to another week of the Universal Rhythm Sessions podcast. I want to start off by apologizing for a missing mix last week, due to some technical difficulties we were offline for a week, but we are back on track and I am happy to welcome a new mix to the collection by New York favorite DJ Uch. UCH is an NYC based dj/producer with an affection for all music genres, specializing in dance/electronica.UCH began his dj career through radio, and through the years his entertainment reporting has led to interviews with many major names in dance music including multi-Grammy Award winner & dance megastar David Guetta, freestyle icon Judy Torres, Zelma Davis of C&C Music Factory, and Grammy-nominated Chicago producer Kaskade, to name a few.Soon after, UCH ventured into the club industry and his music has since yielded countless NYC appearances and international dates including Pacha NYC, RiffRaff U.K., Germany, and Puerto Rico. With an ever-growing desire for music-making, UCH began producing his own music and through the “Uch & Panic” project, he scored significant and regular airplay on NYs PULSE 87 and PARTY 105 fM. UCH has since completed projects for Lori Michaels on Monitor Sound Recordings (US) and other releases for Soundgroove (US), Flava (US), and KULT (US).Building on his tribal and tech house legacy, UCH added progressive house to his repertoire and produces big room vocal anthems for NYC/UK label Levan Records. His new single AMOR IBIZA is out on Levan Records. So here is DJ Uch's submission with a dope tech, tribal, groove mix sure to keep you in the zone.
