Hello Listeners! In this episode, we had the opportunity to have a conversation with Craig David. Since debuting with the critically acclaimed album "Born To Do It"—a genre-defining record that established Craig David as one of the UK's most beloved artists—he has remained at the forefront of his unique and authentic British sound. He has made waves worldwide as the voice of one of the most pivotal eras in UK music, bringing garage from the underground to the mainstream and becoming one of the most successful artists in UK chart history. Throughout his career, Craig has collaborated with a range of artists, including Sting, Kano, Diplo, and KSI, while also becoming one of Ibiza's biggest DJs through his TS5 soundsystem. Craig's thoughtful artistry has earned him 14 BRIT Award nominations, two GRAMMY nominations, four MOBO Awards, three Ivor Novello Awards recognizing his songwriting, and most recently, an MBE for his services to music. Since breaking onto the scene in late 1999 with the classic UK garage track "Re-Rewind", Craig has scored 25 UK Top 40 singles (16 of which are Top 10), nine UK Top 40 albums (five in the Top 10), and amassed over 5 billion streams worldwide. Additionally, Craig holds one of Ibiza's most successful and long-running residencies with Ibiza Rocks, which returned this year for its 7th season. Craig David returns with his first new music in over two years, "In Your Hands", released via Believe. This uplifting track not only highlights Craig's signature vocals but also showcases his ability to create music that touches deep emotional levels. The new single is the result of Craig spending two years in the studio working on new material, following his Top 40 collaboration with Wes Nelson on "Abracadabra" in February. Craig is set to embark on his UK Commitment Arena Tour in February 2025, with special guest Lemar. Starting at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on February 2, the 11-date tour will see Craig performing his eclectic and fan-favorite discography across the UK, culminating at the iconic O2 Arena in London on February 20 . This week on Colin Peters presents… we head back into my mix vaults to listen to the second most important mix of my career. Recorded in 2010 and based on Russ Meyer's classic B-Movie, FASTER, PUSSYCAT! KILL! KILL! was the mix that opened my second era behind the decks. In 2009 I was thinking about giving it all up as I was getting every fewer gigs and was disillusioned with the music (this was the year when 'I Gotta A Feeling' by Black Eyed Peas & David Guetta was released :(. I decided to take things back to the drawing board and channel the music I loved when I started, spliced with the punky young guns of the day (Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, TV On The Radio), and the mix was a huge success, opening up residencies at Cultura Club in Palma and Ibiza Rocks and paving the way to how I mix nowadays. Two Door Cinema Club, TV On The Radio). Entonces la sesión fue un gran éxito, abriéndome residencias en Cultura Club en Palma y Ibiza Rocks, allanando el camino a lo que hoy en día es mi estilo propio. 1) To the Batmobile, Let's Go! 2) Alex Metric - It Starts Again 3) MPHO - Box N Locks 4) Depeche Mode - Wrong (Trentemøller remix) 5) The Strokes - Hard to Explain 6) Sugababes - About You Now 7) Vampire Weekend - Cousins 8) Plan B - Stay Too Long 9) Billy Idol - White Wedding 10) Two Door Cinema Club - I Can Talk 11) The Pixies - Where Is My Mind (Bassnectar remix) 12) Bloc Party - Helicopter (Whitey remix) 13) The Drums - Let's Go Surfing 14) The Postal Service - Such Great Heights 15) Frankmusik - 3 Little Words (KC in CK remix) 16) Metric - Gold Guns Girls (Mike Shinoda remix) 17) TV On The Radio - Wolf Like Me 18) In Flagranti - Pick a Trick 19) The Cure - Close To Me 20) I Blame Coco ft Robyn - Caesar 21) Robyn - Cobrastyle (The Bloody Beetroots remix) 22) Leo Minor - Ashes to Ashes 21) Chairlift - Bruises 22) DJ Shadow - Six Days (Soulwax remix) 23) The Smiths - This Charming Man (New York)

This season of the Leaders in EDI podcast series will feature perspectives from outside of the sports industry to develop a more holistic view of the EDI sector, to discuss what specific challenges other industries face, and to understand what we can learn from how they tackle them. This episode features Jordan Hallpike speaking on the music and events industry. The Sandman on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 6/22/22 About The Sandman - I started DJing in 2014, inspired by Mark Knight, Metodi Hristov and Coyu. My interest grew from House, and expanded out to techno with a melodic side. Some of my favorite labels are Suara & Set About labels.“As a DJ there is no better feeling in the world than controlling a dance floor and hearing that bass drum kick through the speakers.”I've been told I have a knack for picking out the lesser heard tunes that will get the crowd going, I love finding tracks that other DJs might not have. I have played at various locations around the UK and Ibiza including a headline set at Ibiza Rocks. I also do a podcast where I get on a guest DJ to talk about their musical background and their career, which has had guests such as Rowetta, Sam Young and Tony Romanello, to name a few. LISTEN NOW to this week's Podcast with Trish Complete on career successes with Roland Clark and the importance of being genuine. Follow Trisha Here https://www.trishcomplete.com/ Trish Complete is a DJ, Producer and Sound Engineer from London, UK. Following the purest of paths from the dancefloor to the studio, Trish's efforts as an artist stem from being a devout raver in her late teens. Very much into the harder styles of dance music, she was inspired by the likes of ATB, PlanetFunk, Nadia Ali, Todd Terry and many others during the ‘90s. Trish's inevitable maturing as an artist then led her to closely following artists like Mark Knight, Traumer, Ferreck Dawn, Roland Clark, D Ramirez and Ben Remember. A love for such a unique yet seminal group of artists is largely the catalyst for her definitively uplifting and emphatic sound - which comprises a blend of House, Tech House and Techno with euphoric focus. Already amassing an impressive list of notable gigs, Trish has performed at some of the capital's most-revered venues including Ministry of Sound, Egg Club, Pacha, Lightbox and Work Bar. She has also had the opportunity to raise her profile on an international scale, with gigs in India, Austria and also Ibiza - playing at Ibiza Rocks, Eden, Kanya and more. Frequent bookings at high-profile venues have also offered Trish the opportunity to play alongside some of the biggest names in Electronic Dance Music. She has supported Richard Duran, Gareth Emery, D Ramirez, Judge Jules, NERVO, The Bassjackers, Aly & Fila, Lost Frequencies, Goldfish, UMEK, Guy J, Markus Schulz and many more. To add to Trish's profound clubland reputation as a DJ, she has also invested a relentless effort into her production arsenal. With almost half a decade of learning and refining under her belt, she recently released her debut track ‘WTF' - sampling the iconic Roland Clark, who championed the track and released it on his ‘Delete International Records' imprint. As well as being supported by the likes of House pioneers Todd Terry and Marshall Jefferson, the track has also charted successfully - peaking at #47 on Traxsource's Tech House chart. Aside from being a blossoming artist in pursuit of her own goals, Trish is also hailed by many for her innate ability to empower others - more specifically, women of the industry. As well as her leadership and coaching group, crafthustlegrind, Trish has also played a part in several other female-focused celebrations and incentives within the industry - including Toolroom's exceptional #wearelistening platform - which has helped to raise Trish's profile among industry professionals and accentuate her authenticity.
To wrap up my three-part series for International Women's Day this weeks guest is the legendary DJ Paulette. She was the first female resident at the Hacienda in Manchester and has spent the last 30 years DJing and holding residencies at some of the most prestigious clubs and best parties in the world, including The Zap Club (Brighton), Ministry of Sound, Queen Club and Mix Club (Paris), Cocoon (Frankfurt), Ibiza Rocks at Pacha and at one my favourites - Pikes Hotel in Ibiza. She's supported the likes of Gilles Peterson, Norman Jay, Black Coffee, 2Many DJs to Soulwax, the list goes on! Her energy is infectious and so is her music - here's what happened when we caught up.
Some say you have to be a tad unhinged to join team Fresh Soup, but perfectly-sane-of-mind Jim Damentalist shows those naysayers otherwise. Having whipped crowds into a crazy stupor at clubs from Cream to Pacha, Ibiza Rocks to the infamously hedonistic Manumission, Jim opens his Soup account with a soothing 60 minutes of melodic house and understated dancefloor drama. What's in a name? See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Happy birthday to us. As Fresh Soup marks six months of eclectic mixes and mid-pandemic merrymaking, the man who dropped our first session returns to his roots with a thunderous hour of alt-dance that draws on his hedonistic days as a resident at Ibiza Rocks; Pete Carvell blowing your bassbins to celebrate half a year of sensational Soup. Nothing says Saturday night like bouncing around your living room alone after a hard day's essential shopping. 2021 might be feeling a bit déjà vu so far, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't take it and ride it like a bull, oh no. Providing a hectic soundtrack for solo raving, former Ibiza Rocks resident and Fresh Soup stalwart, Pete Carvell, cranks up the energy with a pounding session of squelchy electro, hard-hitting house and new rave sensibilities. It's Christmas, Jim, but not as we know it. A topsy-turvy year where nothing was as it seemed warrants a Christmas Eve party pounder where not all is as it seems. The cheese board to your after dinner sherry, Pete's final Fresh Soup session of the year is a resonant miscellanea of styles that bounces between banging beats and thrashing guitars; a nod to his days behind the decks at Ibiza Rocks. In the year we all want to see the back of, Pete Carvell goes out with a bang. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Hi, I'm Krystal Roxx, DJ and founder of Superfoxx. So I believe that music is the answer and during this crazy time, it's a great way of lifting your spirits and keeping you motivated. So I'm creating some content each week to help lift your spirits and keep you feeling the best version of yourself.I'm doing this in three different ways. The first thing I'm doing is a 30 minute yoga flow each morning called "Go With The Flowga". This is available to all levels. It's an opportunity for you to get on the mat, use your full range of movement and practice some really good quality breath work. We finish each practice with a gratitude to keep you focused on something you're grateful for.It could be something tiny, could be something very big and a joke normally told very badly by me. Every Friday at midday, we release a hit workout with Ibiza Rocks. That is five exercises repeated five times, and in sets, so a killer workout mix. Of club classics, Ibiza anthems and a mix up each week.Sometimes it's garish, sometimes it's old school, sometimes it's nineties dance music, but whatever it is, put it in your ears because it will keep you motivated. So after the workout, you can use it for your run, or if you're cycling and it will give you energy, it's like red bull for the ears. Check it out.And the third thing that we're doing to keep you uplifted is every Friday night we have our super Foxx radio show with Soho radio. This is us getting you ready for the weekend. The best female DJ's, the best new music. And I interview three women from different backgrounds, tech science, fashion. politics, obviously music. And each woman has got a fantastic story to tell about how they came to where they are today. They share their advice with their younger self, and it just generally is super inspiring and really, really fun. So check that out. Soho radio, listen back on Mixcloud or you can watch back at the Super Foxx IGTV.So there you have it. Please check out our channels and if you're looking for anything to keep you motivated, to keep you energized or just for some inspiration, check out Super Foxx. There's a lot of brilliant things that you can tap into. Stay safe, take care of yourself much love. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Craig Harrison is a Blackburn born DJ who’s been making waves in Ibiza and the UK in a very short space of time. In 2017, he left his job and moved to Ibiza for the season. Through his DJ skills (and cheeky charm) managed to secure sets at Eden, Sankey’s, Es Paradise and Ibiza Rocks for Cuckoo Land. His warm up set on the main stage impressed the Cuckoo Land promoters so much that he was asked back in 2018 to be a resident. On top of a successful second season in Ibiza as a Cuckoo Land Resident, Craig has secured sets at events such as Do Not Sleep, Jacky & Friends, We R Festival, Paravanna London, Griffs Gaff, Faction, Data Transmission and Dawn Afterhours. 2018 also saw the launch of his own brand In The Know (co-founded with his brother Paul & girlfriend Charl). ‘In The Know’ is a new nightlife concept that aims to bring events to intimate locations in the UK, Ibiza and Beyond.

JNXY is a house music DJ and producer from Newcastle upon Tyne currently based in North Devon. Playing everything from makina and hard house as a youngster during the vinyl era to house and disco in more recent times, the 4/4 beat has always run deep in his veins. Gaining his experience performing at some of the biggest nights on the rave scene in the north east of England after winning a DJ competition, he learnt the art of how to warm up the dance floor. Inspired by likes of Lee Foss, Jamie Jones and The Martinez Brothers, JNXY has developed a strong passion for underground house music scene. More recently JNXY has played at some of the most prestigious clubs the UK has to offer, performing at venues such as EGG and Ministry of Sound in London, Cosmic Ballroom in Newcastle upon Tyne and Thirty3Hz Guildford. On top of this JNXY also runs his own night called COMMENCE which sees their London debut event taking place in November this year. JNXY has also taken his sound with him internationally to the white isle of Ibiza driving the dance floors at Es Paradise, Ibiza Rocks and on the Pukka Up Boat Party. Having identified his sound JNXY wasted no time grasping the music production skills required to deliver his first tech house track ‘One Way’ which was released on Do What We Want Records earlier this year. With more tracks in the pipe line the sound of JNXY is an undeniably recognisable one and 2019 is set to be a year of more successful releases where only the sky is the limit.
