All of us with school aged children are gearing up for the back-to-school routine, and it can be stressful. When we think about all that has to be done, it can be daunting. We have to get the kids up, dressed, breakfast on the table, snacks and lunch packed, be a taxi driver to after school events, get dinner on the table, and it adds pressure to an already busy life. While these tips won't take away the entire back-to-school burden, they will help make the transition from relaxed to structured much easier.  Check out this episode for my top 3 back-to-school tips and quick recipes for busy days ahead!  In this episode, we cover: Back-to-school made easy Quick recipes for busy days Feed Yourself Food Club monthly recipe membership LINKS AND RESOURCES MENTIONED IN TODAY'S EPISODE: Join the Feed Yourself Food Club (monthly recipe membership) here! Connect with me on Instagram: @rachelmeigsking MORE ABOUT FEED YOURSELF: HEALTHY HABITS FOR THE MIND, BODY, & SOUL PODCAST: Feed Yourself: Healthy Habits for the Mind, Body, & Soul is all about learning the key components of overall health based on Biblical principles. When most people think about getting in shape and becoming “healthy”, they immediately think about their physical health: losing weight, making exercise a priority, possessing flexibility and endurance, and remaining disease free. But Scripture makes it clear that physical wellness is not the only area that impacts health. In order to be TRULY healthy, we have to focus on four areas: spiritual health, emotional health, mental health, and physical health.  This podcast dives deep into the tools and head knowledge you will need in order to create lasting results, but it also looks at the element that truly ties it all together - the heart knowledge that incorporates faith in God in this area of our lives and how to apply it when things get tough (and they will!). I wanted to create a space to let you know you are never alone on this journey. Through years of experience in doing everything the WRONG way, I am here to share my journey of getting healthy from the inside out - ditching the restriction and diet culture and truly learning to treat my body as the temple God intended it to be.  Grab a cup of coffee and join me as I discuss healthy habits to incorporate in your daily life to propel you forward and FEED YOURSELF on your journey to health in all areas: mind, body, and soul!

#27 – Kristy Bernardo is the woman behind the wildly successful blog The Wicked Noodle, however, being a professional foodie wasn't always in her future. Growing up in small town Wisconsin, Kristy didn't have s strong sense of what she should pursue after high school although it didn't take long for her to find out that she excelled in retail. After 5 promotions in 5 months, she was managing her own store in another state by the age of 20! Next came a move to Southern California where she lived for 16 years as she advanced her career through various companies from Payroll Specialist all the way up to Vice President of Human Resources for Wahoo's Fish Taco. Upon having children, Kristy became a stay-at-home mom who had to learn how to cook, so she thought she might as well blog about it and this, The Wicked Noodle was born. Despite her low expectations, the blog gained a following quickly and within 6 months she was working with advertisers and opportunities were presenting themselves. Now, 12 years later, food blogging has taken Kristy farther than she ever imagined. She's been a national spokesperson for major brands, worked with famous chefs, hosted TV shows and publish 5 cookbooks – all from a little hobby blog.
