Wise beings know how to use the natural cycles of the earth and universe to support us to grow our work, wealth and relationships, and to support our overall wellbeing, and keep us focused on what matters. Which is why at the quarter point shifts of the year - Solstices and Equinoxes - our personal leadership best practice (and one we can do with our teams and partners) is taking what I call a Power Pause. Equinoxes specifically are all about illuminating imbalances, shifting habits to restore wellbeing, and re-focusing your priorities and intentions for the next quarter. In this episode we focus on the last quarter - between now and the end of the Roman calendar year (about 9 weeks) or between now and end of January, the start of the new lunar calendar year (about 12 weeks). Tune into this Power Pause and take a step back to get some perspective on the main parts of your whole life - your work in the world, your wellbeing foundation, your relationships and your personal growth / presence. I will lead us through a creative inquiry process including somatic visualization to tune into and get clear on: Where you truly desire to focus your energy, time and resources this last part of the year - so you start the new year in a good space + create momentum for next year What two focus points - in your work in the world + your wellbeing foundation - matter most this last part of the year What two relationships - with an individual and with a group/team/family/system are imbalanced and need a reset. With the Autumnal Equinox approaching, the Crone is sharing her mother’s recipe for Lemon Poppy Seed Bread. We like to have it at the Equinoxes because the lemony yellow of the bread represents the Light Energy and the dark of the Poppy Seeds the Dark in balance. A full-color exploration of the encoded ceiling at the Temple of Dendera• Draws on more than 5,000 high-resolution photographs taken by the author to reconstruct the complete ceiling of the portico of the Temple of Hathor at Dendera• Reveals in detail how each panel represents celestial cycles of time from the Precession of the Equinoxes to the annual cycles of life found along the Nile• Explains each panel's astronomical significance from the ancient Egyptian perspective as well as examining the myths, gods, and goddesses depictedEgypt is famous for its pyramids, the Sphinx, the temples at Luxor, and the Valley of the Kings, but 40 miles north of Luxor lies the best-preserved temple complex in all of Egypt: The Temple of Dendera, known for the famous “Zodiac of Dendera” now housed in the Louvre Museum. Within the portico leading into the Hathor temple at Dendera is a little-known outstanding achievement of humanity: an extensive colored bas-relief—larger than the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel—meticulously encoded with the sophisticated astronomical knowledge of ancient Egypt.Drawing on more than 5,000 high-resolution photographs he has taken at the Temple of Dendera, photographer and computer scientist José María Barrera presents a complete full-color photographic reconstruction of the ceiling of the pronaos at Dendera and reveals in detail how each panel represents celestial cycles of time from the Precession of the Equinoxes to the annual cycles of life found along the Nile. He explains the meaning of the layout of the ceiling as it relates to the present, the past, eternity, the hours of the day, the phases of the moon, the constellations used in ancient Egyptian astronomy, and the Great Solar Year. The author provides detailed analysis of each panel, including close-up photos, and explains each panel's astronomical and spiritual significance from the ancient Egyptian perspective as well as examining the myths, gods, and goddesses depicted. He also includes an appendix exploring the meaning and symbology of ancient Egyptian iconography.José María Barrera is a software engineer and application architect, specializing in data representation and languages, who has been fascinated by alchemy and Egyptian culture for more than 20 years. An avid photographer, his work has been exhibited in galleries in Chicago and New York City and sold at Sotheby's Auctions. Born in Colombia, he holds a master's degree in computer science. G'day Folks, On today's show I had John Kirwin return to discuss something he eluded to on S6/E1. The Mandela Effect and proofs of it happening to the Bible. An intriguing topic to say the least. What is the Mandela Effect? According to MSM & mainstream science it's easily explained away as misremembering and/or false memories. Apparently large amounts of people simply incorrectly remember the same thing. But what if there's more to it than that? Does it seem logical to you that so many of us misremember the same thing? Are we being gaslighted? Or is it that this reality we experience currently is the result of a shift into a parallel dimension/reality? John takes us on a journey to begin with where he shows us that popular Bible quotes that many of us know (even those of us that don't read it have heard them somewhere) even the Lords Prayer, is wrong. For example; "...and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,..." According to the actual Bible now, that saying is wrong! The Bible now says; "...and forgive us our debts, as we forgive those who trespass against us,..." Debts?! Yep, apparently now that's the correct line. Crazy huh? What could be responsible for this Mandela Effect phenomenon? Was our reality split? What gives more weight to that notion is that fact that no one discussed this happening in our day to day lives prior to 2017. The Mandela Effect wasn't experienced by people prior to this date. What is significance about this timeframe? CERN fired up the LHC in 2012 & say they have discovered a new particle. The Higgs-Boson? But was the discovery of this new particle the cause of a shift in our reality? Did the LHC at CERN cause a rift when they made this discovery? Perhaps it took humanity a few years before we started noticing things changing in our reality that we once swore were different. Perhaps this is a sign of the End Times? Or, the great apocalypse or unveiling. According to the Precession of the Equinoxes we're coming to the end of the Age of Pisces and moving into the Age of Aquarius. The water bearer. Is the End Time simply the end of one age and the apocalypse simply the unveiling of the new one? It's a great discussion and we also hit up the simulation theory and share our thoughts on what may be responsible for the simulation. Let me share how i've been toggling with this understanding for 3 years, and this is the first year I'm not celebrating NYE or NY day. I thank my mentors and sisters who help me wash my eyes of these normalities, and my process of re-learning how to live sustainably with the world around me. A large part of process is finding connection in nature, and using the Solstices and Equinoxes as celebratory points in my year, considering they are the alignment points of the seasons. For myself, it's been an internal battle of questioning WHY our “reality” (in this case what I perceive as mainstream media, marketing, the current government, etc) would condone the behavior or every “holiday” revolving around alcohol, making money off advertisements, and consuming a year's worth of sugar…. (no coincidences here kitty kats) The above three issues are unsustainable and only support escapism behavior from how one could instead honor the dark, cold, and slow Winter months in order to feel genuinely renewed come Spring! Maybe you feel out of alignment with creating a giant pledge to yourself to achieve “xyz” for the entire year, or as if you're not ready to “birth” anything new into this world. If that resonates, you're not alone. Medium Article by Yeshe Matthews Want free wellness tips every week? Click here!
The Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Carl Jung studied astrology for over 40 years, and was primarily interested in the way astrology could help to explore the psyche. For Jung, astrology represents the sum of all the psychological knowledge of antiquity. The notion of seeing mythic narratives through patterns in the heavens is one of the earliest attempts to link the outer world with the inner world. The well-known Hermetic dictum, “As above, so below,” is key to astrology. It is the idea that man (the microcosm), is influenced by the universe (the macrocosm). That is to say, truths about the nature of the cosmos may be inferred from truths about human nature, and vice versa. At the exact moment of birth, each person receives the typical qualities of the libido or energy which is characteristic of him or her. Time, or the moment understood as a peculiar form of energy, seems to coincide with our psychological condition. For Jung, this leads to a peculiar hypothesis, that our personality does not have to do with the position of the stars, but rather with the qualitative effect of time, also called synchronicity, based on the ancient Stoic concept of cosmic sympathy. ☕ Donate a coffee ⭐ Support on Patreon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⌛ Timestamps (0:00) Introduction (3:54) The Zodiac: Wheel of Life (5:06) The Basics of Astrology (9:37) Microcosm and Macrocosm (10:44) Astrology becomes Astronomy (11:48) Astrology and Carl Jung (17:12) Astrology as Ancient Psychology (20:02) Astrological Age and Precession of the Equinoxes (23:12) Qualitative Time (27:02) Astrology and Synchronicity (28:23) Sympatheia: Cosmic Sympathy (29:00) Psychoid and Unus Mundus, Pleroma, Anima Mundi (30:00) Planets as Archons (Gnosticism) (30:50) Spirit of the Depths and Spirit of the Times (32:28) Jung's Thoughts on Astrology Before Death (33:15) Fate and Free Will (36:13) Individuation and Daimon (Soul-Image) (38:20) Exoteric and Esoteric Astrology (39:25) Aquarius: The Coming New Aeon (43:31) Conclusion
On November 7 at 9:36 AM-PDT, the Sun hits exactly 15 degrees of Scorpio. That might not sound exactly earth-shaking, but if you were a Druid, it would be a really big deal. Actually, you might still be in bed recovering from the previous evening's festivities – more about that point in a little while. Most traditional cultures were very aware of the Summer and Winter Solstices. The noon-day Sun would have reached its highest or lowest point in the sky. The days would start getting longer or shorter. All that is fairly obvious even to a casual observer, so our ancestors figured it out long ago in prehistory. I suspect that knowledge of the Equinoxes came a little bit later – again, no one knows the date because it all happened such a long time ago, but noticing that night and day were of equal length and that the Sun now rose or set due east or due west seems slightly less self-evident than the “return of the light.” Anyway, those four points – the two Solstices and the two Equinoxes – became the skeleton of the yearly calendar in every culture, not to mention the basis of the western Zodiac. They divided the year into four quarters – what we came to call the four seasons. Pretty much universally around the world, those four transition points were marked by festivals. Whether that was to please the gods and goddesses, or just because people like parties, is hard to say. Listen in ...

Wise beings know how to use the natural cycles of the earth and universe to support us to grow our work, wealth and relationships, and to support our health, and keep us focused on what matters. Which is why one of my top three pratices for staying out of burnout and overwhelm and stay on the path of sustainable success, impact and wellbeing in the "Power Pause" + why I created the next two episodes for you, which are really more like a mini retreat. Power pauses are an elevated leadership best practice we do quarterly, at the Equinoxes and Solstices, the natural shifting times. Equinoxes are all about illuminating imbalances, shifting habits to restore wellbeing, and re-focusing your priorities and intentions for the next quarter. The theme of Sept Equinox is always Harvest. This year, I added the themes of HONOR + RECEIVE + CREATE THE NEXT WHILE LIVING THE NOW - because I feel like these are the energies and equations that will most support us in this cycle. Tune into this Power Pause and learn some about: Learn the wisdom behind taking power pauses 4 times a year Making the invisible and the internal visible - so we can feel it and value it Honoring the process vs the product I will lead us through a 3 inquiry process, including visualization and meditation so you can really FEEL and register in your body, brain and being: How the energy and effort and focus you have given is returning harvest to you (but you have to pause to receive the harvest) That you have been stretched & chosen to stretch - so you can harvest the strength & keep the wisdom gained. [8:15] Jupiter compels us to share our thoughts and beliefs, teaching, lecturing, writing for publication. Jupiter also supports adventures to unfamiliar territory. In the traditional home, Thursday was marketing day, so spread your wealth around! [9:16] Consider honoring Jupiter by wearing Jupiterian colors of turquoise and purple and/or his gemstones which are turquoise, topaz and lapis lazuli. [10:20] Greetings from Listener Shellie! [11:09] A closer look at the Sabian symbols. The Sabian symbols are 360 symbolic images and phrases, one for each degree of the zodiac. They were channeled by psychic Elsie Wheeler and recorded by astrologer Marc Edmund Jones in 1925 in San Diego, California. [11:55] Astrologers use the symbols as a tool of divination, as points of focus for meditation, even as writing prompts, and they can take us into a birth chart in a little more imaginative way. [13:22] Josh's question about using the Sabian symbols (and…ox entrails?). Check out Lynda Hill's book, 360 Degrees of Wisdom, for more information about Sabian symbols. Just a heads up, as the Moon squares Mercury today (1:45 PM PDT), feelings may not match up with words. [7:35] Tuneful greetings from Listener Emily! [8:20] The name Wednesday is derived from “Wodensday”, a nod to the Norse God Odin, which was called Woden in old English. Woden and Mercury shared association with communication, knowledge, and travel, and eventually referred to the same day of the week. Since Mercury is associated with manual and mental dexterity, mend clothing, study, communicate, and run neighborhood errands. [10:44] A closer look at the Lunar Phase Family Cycles. [5:28] Today is Tuesday, and that is Mars' Day. Mars-ruled Tuesday was set aside for ironing in the traditional home because Mars has an affinity for heat and metal. Assertiveness, confrontation, using sharp tools, exercise and wearing red and/or diamonds are all ways to celebrate the red, warrior planet, Mars. [7:37] Greetings from Listener Stephanie! [8:26] Moon Report! The Moon is in Taurus on Tuesday morning and makes a trine aspect to Pluto at 28°10' Capricorn (9:45 AM PDT) before going Void-of-Course for 3 ¼ hours before it enters Gemini (1:06 PM PDT). Appreciate the power and privilege that come with having the necessities of life covered. [9:45] The Moon squares Saturn at 03°06' of Gemini-Pisces (6:49 PM PDT), another reminder of how truly fortunate you are. [10:23] A look at the Void-of-Course Moon. It's a period of varying length between the Moon's last major aspect (conjunction, sextile, square, trine, opposition) to other planets and until it changes signs. The Nodes, Chiron, asteroids and angles are not included. [12:28] Some say that if you initiate something on a VOC Moon, nothing would come of the matter. Don't believe it! April met her hubby on a VOC Moon and their marriage is 30 years strong. [14:01] Darrell Martinie, the Cosmic Muffin, favored a VOC Moon for breaking habits and letting things go. [6:12] Mercury trines Jupiter on Sep. 4 (3:29 AM PDT) at 15º34' Virgo and Taurus. Mercury's Sabian symbol is 16 Virgo, An Orangutan, and Jupiter is on 16 Taurus, An old man tries in vain to share the mysteries. [6:50] This is the second of three trines forming between Mercury and Jupiter, beginning with the first on August 9, and the last coming on Sep. 25. Bring your honest, unadorned self to everything that you have to say, write and communicate. [7:47] A few hours later (7:10 AM PDT), Jupiter stations retrograde at 15º34' Taurus. It's retrograde through Dec. 30, when it turns direct at 05º34' Taurus. This is the degree of the lunar eclipse on October 28, 2023 as well. Look to your own inner guidance on subjects like beliefs, religion, education, travel and adventure. [9:01] Greetings from Listener Ann! [9:36] Moon Report! Today's Moon is in relaxed, indulgent Taurus, one of her favorite signs. [10:51] The Moon trines the Sun (4:12 AM PDT), squares Venus (5:08 AM PDT), and then aspects today's Mercury-Jupiter configuration: trine Mercury (10:35 AM PDT) and conjoined Jupiter (11:05 AM PDT). [11:46] When the Moon is in hard aspect with the planet that rules its sign, such as today's Taurus Moon square Venus in Leo, it gives a little bit of a mixed message. Complications could interrupt the day's flow of events. [12:39] The Moon's aspects to today's Mercury/Jupiter trine suggests an excellent time for receiving cooperation, collaboration and sharing information. [14:05] Monday is the Moon's Day. Did you know that, traditionally, Monday was the day for laundry? The Moon is also connected to food and nurturing others. [15:45] And that's a wrap for Day One of The Fourth Annual Podcast! In the Podcast Episode 66, we are talking about what are solstice and equinoxes. How do they occur and what is the science.
In the Southern hemisphere the Sabbat of Samhain (pronounced Sah win - which means Summer's end) began on Sunday May 1 and culminates (is exactly occuring) on Saturday, May 6 when the Samhain midway point is exact between the Solstices and Equinoxes, measured in degrees along the ecliptic. It is known as the Witches' New Year and revered as a powerful spiritual time. During this Sabbat the veils between the earth plane and the etheric realms are at their thinnest affording us the opportunity to communicate with deceased relatives, ancestors and loved ones. What's even more magical about this sabbat of Samhain is it falls in the eclipse season, bookended by the Hybrid Solar Eclipse on April 20 and the Lunar Eclipse on May 6. In this episode we're discussing the shift of autumn and the season of Samhain, how this is a brilliant portal for discovering your 5D abilities and what it means to live in a fifth dimensional way. Enjoy!
Today we tackle two questions. The first is what about the Venus minor aspects of 30° or 45°, particularly in a natal chart. Venus, remember can only be 48° away from the Sun. The second question is about the constellations and the Precession of the Equinoxes. A very informative episode! Dear Ones! Today I have a potent invitation for you. An invitation to claim your time back from the 7 days a week, 8 housr day, M-F, blah blah time paradigm. Now I know most of us have to work. That said. There is a way for you really be sovereign in how you spend your time and it requires planning. I just spent 3 hours working on my calendar for the next six months, it is a ritual in claiming space for you. Even doing the planning lets your whole self know you are choosing to claim your time. In 2022 I worked 7 days a week most weeks. I was trying to get ahead from getting so behind during COVID. Well. It didn't work. I kept getting more behinder. So I am trying something different - I am reclaiming my time. I hope it works. lol. Once you start working that much it can be hard to slow down. Ten days in Mexico and a little bitta tan and saltwater and time with real people was a perfect inspiration. I mostly just don't want to live my life like I was living it. I LOVE my work and this community - but it isn't working really to sacrifice my time. I want more time without computers and more time with my local village. So I am sharing this with you and an inviation to join me in claiming your time. My color-coded 2023 for the rest of the year calendar includes: *One and a half hours of creative time per day for the Tea with the Muse - for me this is drawing, writing and designing time. *Cafe and Happy Hour as a bookend to single every day. Cafe is usually between 7-9. Happy hour is usually between 5-7. With My Love. *Days off - one or two per week - that means no appointments at all, unstructured time. * One Week per month with no virtual appointments at all * 2 Weeklong vacations from work per year booked - oh yes! * Weekly financial review and planning - important! * Studio Days for specific arts like painting and writing #musedays * Friendship windows for luncheons and slumber parties * Swim times + Lunch times five days a week * Nature time at Wild Water Creek * Half hour breaks betwen calls when possible * No more than 3 zooms in a day on zoom days and only two zoom days a week if possible. Sometimes three if I have private clients. * 8 Feast Days - Solstices and Equinoxes and cross quarter peak days * New Moons and Full Moons * Two community calls per month to connect While that sounds really structured, and it is - in this there is freedom in knowing I have space. I have been living by what my calendar says for about ten years - and while I would - like almost everyone - prefer nothing on my calendar - my life just isn't like that right now. So to create freedom and flow I need structure. Perhaps the biggest change which will take about 6 months to put into place (and that impacts all of you). I will be having two primary calls per month with our virtual community. One will be Imprensiva - Society Membership with Jonathand and myself - we are focusing on the Quantum Cascade - and one will be 'Shiloh time' - still picking the name for this circle - and I am planning on doing it for 50 years - to create the pattern in the field of space and time. The 'Shiloh time' (as Virginia calls it) will take the place of me needing to be on calls in every program - it just isn't working and I am too spread out. I know our community will honor this change as it begins to unfold. We have been trying for years and doing better - but there comes a time when we just have to say - okay - something new. I am thinking of you all today. Wishing you all health and wellness and spaciousness. I have so much gratitude for each of you in my life and in our life. May every Musea Studio be humming with the joy that is Intentional Creativity. If you feel called to share - your response to what I am sharing or an action you took for you - please do. I know those who love me will be happy to hear me stop saying how I am working 7 days a week lol. Even the idea of 'spending time' needs a change. I don't want to spend my time at all. I want to experience time in my life, not spend time. My time isn't really for sale. Not really. I choose what I do with it. The sooner I can really live this reality - the sooner time will be on my side. Time is on my side. I don't know that there is any 'side' to take it from because this is not a competition with two sides. That said for today I claim time is on my side and that I have all the time I need. Today I will experience the last day where I have back to back appointments from start to finish. I got up a 4 so I could map out my life. Today there is little time for lunch or swimming. Looking at my schedule today was my inspiration - no more. So thank you busy day for being my teacher and my catalyst and my invitation to everyone else to join me. With joy and the love that flows between us and a wink from the Muse XO Shiloh Sophia Two Cups of Coffee in Careyes, Mexico IF you aren't in the imusea app and you want to join us you can: search imusea in your app store and you will find us and it is freeeeeeeee… Get full access to Tea with the Muse at teawiththemuse.substack.com/subscribe

Happy New Year! Or is it? While large parts of the world celebrate the start of a new calendar year on January 1st, much of the world celebrates the New Year at other times. Many cultures base their New Year on events in Nature, astronomical events, or a combination of both.In this episode, Thom explains the basis for the Vedic New Year and the rationale behind it. While it isn't celebrated as ‘enthusiastically' as New Year is in the West, it marks a significant stage in the rhythm of life and is worthy of our attention each time it comes around, even if we have another New Year celebration that's more significant to us.Episode Highlights:[00:45] The Gregorian Calendar[01:41] Cues From Nature[03:24] Solstices and Equinoxes[04:46] Yuletide[05:51] Gap Week[07:39] Vernal Equinox[09:01] Spring - When We See the Fecundity of the Earth[10:47] Creating Additional JoyUseful Linksinfo@thomknoles.com https://thomknoles.com/https://www.instagram.com/thethomknoleshttps://www.facebook.com/thethomknoleshttps://www.youtube.com/c/thomknoleshttps://thomknoles.com/ask-thom-anything/

The Winter Solstice is one of eight annual Solar Festivals. The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year, marking the return of the Sun in the Northern Hemisphere. The Ancients and native cultures have always celebrated these Solar Festivals as powerful times that were worthy of ceremony. Fires were lit to honor the Winter and Summer Solstices, thus the tradition of lighting the Yule Log derives from our pagan ancestors. Theosophical teachings which emerged in the late 19th century, derived from the Vedic wisdom of India, predicted the increasing importance of honoring the full moon, new moon, equinox and solstice cycles during the coming Aquarian Age. Well we are now in that Aquarian Age, and any ceremony or ritual, prayer or mantra that we perform on December 21 will be empowered at this Winter Solstice. There is a primal urge in humankind to be rekindled, rebirthed and renewed at these seasonal Solar Festivals which include the two Solstices, two Equinoxes, and four cross-quarter days, honored by our ancestors, indigenous, and pre-Christian pagans. These days of honoring the Earth and Sun are in order of their procession in the Gregorian calendar are: February 2, know as "Imbolc," also called Candlemas which is the half-way point between the winter solstice and Spring equinox in the northern hemisphere. Then the Spring Equinox on March 21. Beltane, honors the fruits of the Spring in the Northern Hemisphere on May 1st. Followed by the Summer Solstice on June 21st, Lammas on August 1, Autumnal Equinox on September 21," Samhain," also known as All Souls Day on November 1, and Winter Solstice on December 21st. Most of you may be familiar with the Vernal or Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice (check out my previous podcast,) Autumnal Equinox and Winter Solstice. But the cross-quarter days celebrated by our indigenous and pagan ancestors are less known and they are Imbolc, Beltane, Lammas or Lughnassah, and Samhain or All Soul's day.The Winter Solstice provides a powerful time of year to bring in more Inner Light. Any rituals, meditations, or spiritual prayers and practices at this time of year will help to empower an individual or group in the coming New Year. One powerful practice is to chant the "Great Invocation," at these annual Solar festivals. The Great InvocationFrom the point of Light within the Mind of GodLet light stream forth into the minds of men.Let Light descend on Earth. From the point of Love within the Heart of GodLet love stream forth into the hearts of men.May Christ return to Earth. From the center where the Will of God is knownLet purpose guide the little wills of men –The purpose which the Masters know and serve. From the centre which we call the race of menLet the Plan of Love and Light work outAnd may it seal the door where evil dwells.Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.Book your 2023 astrology reading: www.jilljardineastrology.com

Mars and Saturn work their strategic magic, though their accomplishments could meet with a setback after Mars turns retrograde (Oct. 30). Venus enters her home sign of Libra, the better to enjoy those we love and all things palatable and pleasant. Mercury finally stations direct, and it's time to leave the past behind and make new memories. And the Capricorn First Quarter Moon calls for a little kindness - both giving it and letting ourselves receive it. Plus, a mini-lesson on planets at zero degrees! Wise beings know how to use the natural cycles of the earth and universe to support us to grow our work, wealth and relationships, and to support our health, and keep us focused on what matters. Which is why one of my top three pratices for staying out of burnout and overwhelm and stay on the path of sustainable success, impact and wellbeing in the "Power Pause" + why I created this episdoe for you, which is really more like a mini retreat. Power pauses are an elevated leadership best practice we do quarterly, at the Equinoxes and Solstices, the natural shifting times. Equinoxes are all about illuminating imbalances, shifting habits to restore wellbeing, and re-focusing your priorities and intentions for the next quarter. The September Equinox offers us insight to illuminate where the imbalances currently exist in your life & how to reset yourself and refocus your life force - especially the ways in which you are over giving and under receiving, the habits that may have worked in the summer but won't support you now, and the ways in which making changes to your home, health and wealth can support you to end your year strong, sane and supported. Often at Equinox, I am out in the world doing full day power pauses for teams, weekend and one day retreats for conscious women, and going through the process myself. And I like to do a mini power pause for all of us here at Feminine Power Time ... with some of the key parts of the process I feel like we can most benefit from this particular year. The theme of Sept Equinox is always Harvest. This year, I added the theme of RECEIVE, because I feel like we can use a fill up at a heart, mind, soul, spirit and body level. Tune into this Power Pause and: Learn the wisdom behind taking power pauses 4 times a year - and how this practice can yield big returns in your business, career, relationships and health/wealth/home Learn about why we need to FEEL to make the impact we are making REAL. I will lead us through a 5 inquiry process, including visualization and meditation to: Feel good about what you have already done this year - and really feel the difference you are making + how much you've grown. Reveal the imbalances - work, relationships, health, wealth or home - that need attention. Consider what you need to bring the imbalances into harmony, so you have what you need Bonus - Gain clarity on what really matters to focus your energy and attention on the last cycle of the calendar year. See you there! And make sure to check out the Feminine Wisdom Cafe for a special packet I put together for you to help you find the imbalances or shifts of focus + re-harmonize and re-focus. https://community.christinearylo.com/posts/drafts/sept-equinox-power-pause-practice-give-your-life-a-harmony-adjustment Christine *** Resources 1. [4:39] The Sun enters Libra on September 22nd at 6:04 pm PDT. This ingress marks the Autumnal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and the Vernal Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. The Equinoxes are the two days out of the year when night and day are equal in length. So very Libran! [5:49] What do we initiate at the Libra Equinox? Harvest time! [7:11] Libra is ruled by Venus, which is still in Virgo. Our motto for this Sun in Libra season: everything needn't be perfect for it to be perfectly good. [8:16] Also on September 22nd, Mercury makes its inferior conjunction to the Sun at 11:50 pm PDT at Libra 0°14' on the Sabian symbol 1 Libra, A butterfly made perfect by a dart through it. [9:16] While the conjunction is exact, Mercury is cazimi, particularly powerful. Look for some much-needed clarity in the realm of Mercury (communications, thinking, commerce, short-distance travel, etc.) [10:15] Retrograde Mercury will re-enter Virgo on September 23rd at 5:04 AM PDT, in a neighborhood it last visited August 21 - 26, 2022. Mercury stations direct on October 2nd and re-enters Libra on October 10th. [11:32] Venus opposes Neptune on September 24th at 1:51 AM PDT at 23°49' of Virgo and Pisces. The Sabian symbol for Venus is 24 Virgo, Mary and her white lamb. The Sabian symbol for Neptune is 24 Pisces, An inhabited island - also the degree of the April 12 Jupiter-Neptune conjunction. Important dates in this cycle are: First Quarter Moon on June 26th, 2023; the Full Moon on March 25, 2024; and the Third Quarter Moon on December 20, 2024. [17:32] Void-of-Course Moon periods for this week. On Sept. 20, the Moon in Cancer will sextile the Sun in Virgo at 8:57 AM PDT then go Void-of-Course for almost five hours before entering Leo at 1:38 PM PDT. Positive work-related opportunities and a good time to initiate beneficial health or diet habits. [19:43] On September 22nd, the Moon in Leo opposes Saturn in Aquarius at 4:07 AM PDT. This Void-of-Course period will last for almost 21 hours (!!!) before entering Virgo on September 23rd at 12:53 AM PDT. Cultivate emotional self-sufficiency and confidence.. [21:26] The Moon in Virgo conjuncts Mercury at 5:49 AM PDT on September 25th and is VOC for about four hours before entering Libra at 9:43 AM PDT. A time to gain clarity about ourselves in preparation for the New Moon in Libra later that day. [22:55] At 10:46 PM PDT on September 25, Venus (Virgo 26°9') will trine Pluto (Capricorn 26°9'). This week, as the world acknowledges the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the Gemini Last Quarter Moon squares the Sun on a symbol of collective mourning. With Venus square Mars in Mercury-ruled signs, relationships benefit from clear but kind communications. Retrograde Mercury makes the second of three oppositions to Jupiter, whose grand schemes require that we fill the gaps in our knowledge. As the Sun in Virgo trines Pluto, excellence and merit might finally be rewarded. And April answers a listener's question about the effect of another person's planets on your birth chart. Plus: hanky-panky, pizza boxes, and tea with the dames! You can still make your Podathon donation of $25 or more through Sep. 12 at 11:59 pm Pacific time to be entered in a drawing for a chance to win prizes - or $10 for four special equinox/solstice episodes! Timestamps [0:29] A big "Thank you!!!" to everyone who donated to the podcast during last week's Third Annual Podathon! You can still make your donation of $25 or more through Sep. 12 at 11:59 pm Pacific time to be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a reading, course, or special astrology poster! An email will be sent out on September 14th to announce the winners. [2:02] We begin the week on September 11th by adjusting to Mercury retrograde in Libra. The Virgo Sun's trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus may still be felt by some. [2:16] On September 16th at 11:40 am PDT, Venus (Virgo 14°23') makes a square to Mars (Gemini 14°23'). Venus is on Sabian symbol 15 Virgo, "An Ornamental Handkerchief." Extremely talkative Mars in Gemini is on Sabian symbol 15 Gemini, "Two Dutch Children Talking." Both Venus and Mars are currently ruled by Mercury which has just gone retrograde. Try to find the common language but do not be unkind in our communications. [5:38] At 3:21 pm PDT, the Sun (24°01' Virgo) makes its annual opposition to Neptune (24°01' Pisces). The Sun is on the Sabian symbol, 25 Virgo, "A Flag at Half Mast." The Sabian symbol for Neptune is 25 Pisces, "The Purging of The Priesthood." This opposition forms a T-Square with the Gemini Last Quarter Moon the next day. [7:48] Moon Report! It begins with a waning Gemini Last Quarter Moon on September 17 at 2:52 pm PDT, at 24°59' Gemini. This Moon's Sabian symbol, 25 Gemini, "A Man Trimming Palms," suggests curation of our stories and splitting the difference between unvarnished truth and flat-out fictions. [9:04] This is the final critical lunation in the Lunar Phase Family that began with the Solar Eclipse on June 21, 2020 at 0°21' Cancer. Important dates for this Lunar Phase Family cycle: First Quarter on March 21, 2021; Full Moon on December 18, 2021. What do you have in your chart between 25° Gemini and 0° Cancer? Check out April's conversation with Celeste Brooks on Lunar Phase Families in Episode 141! [10:24] Void-of-Course Moon periods. On September 12th, the Aries Moon will square Pluto in Capricorn at 9:53 pm PDT. It will be Void-of-Course for about six and a half hours before it enters Taurus on September 13th at 4:39 am PDT. Most of us will be sleeping but it could be a good time to think about how you want to change the way you react emotionally to things like frustration or anger. [12:31] The Moon in Taurus makes a trine to Pluto (Capricorn) at 5:59 am PDT on September 15th. It will be Void-of-Course for about seven hours before entering Gemini at 1:16 pm PDT. The Moon is exalted in Taurus. Excellent time to initiate a new exercise routine, a change in diet and/or a change to a procrastination habit. [13:25] Finally, on September 17th, the Moon in Gemini makes a square to the Virgo Sun at 2:52 pm PDT. It enters a Void-of-Course period for about nine hours before entering Cancer on September 18th at 12:59 am PDT. [14:32] Mercury retrograde (Libra 4°44') will oppose Jupiter (Aries 4°44') on September 18, 2022 at 3:34 pm PDT. This is the second of three oppositions. The first was on September 2, 2022 (Mercury direct at Libra 6°39' - April covers this in Episode 138). The last in this series of Mercury / Jupiter oppositions will be on October 12, 2022 (Mercury direct at Libra 1°40'). [15:45] This second Mercury/Jupiter opposition falls on two Sabian symbols that relate to learning. Mecury is on 5 Libra, "A Man Teaching the True Inner Knowledge," while Jupiter is on 5 Aries, "A Triangle with Wings." Backtrack to fill in gaps in information or knowledge. [16:48] On September 18th at 8:58 pm PDT, the Sun (Virgo 26°12') makes a trine to Pluto (Capricorn 26°12'). The Sabian symbol for the Sun is 27 Virgo, "Grand Dames at Tea." The Sabian symbol for Pluto is 27 Capricorn, "A Mountain Pilgrimage." Excellence can be rewarded at this aspect, but also, nothing succeeds like success. [19:06] Listener Gerard asks, "What does another person's natal planets superimposed on your birth chart tell you about their influence in your life?" [25:51] Let's give a Big Sky Astrology Podcast shout out to the first of our 2022 crop of donors - LeiAnne Koch, Stephanie Esman and Tracy Mills!!! [8:55] This retrograde Mercury rules Mars in Gemini, which will also turn retrograde at the end of October – so both of these planets are probably feeling quite unstable. [10:05] Today the Moon is in Pisces, opposes Venus at 6:39 am and square Mars at 4:08 pm Pacific time. [10:26] The Moon opposes Venus in Virgo at 6:39 am and squares Mars at 4:08 pm. Gather your thoughts. Slow down and rest. [11:20] When you get too busy, clear your head with Pisces-ruled things, like music, meditation, or relaxing with a pet. [12:05] April welcomes Simone Butler, a San Diego-based expert astrologer with more than 30 years of experience helping people find their purpose and passion. She has written for The Mountain Astrologer, Starscroll and Tarot.com, and has been interviewed on many podcasts. You can read Simone's bi-monthly blogs and/or book a reading at www.astroalchemy.com. [13:20] Lunar ritual for a New Moon vs. a Full Moon? [19:30] Full Moons are connected to relationships because the Sun and Moon in opposite signs have the potential to bring balance. [20:00] Acknowledge the upcoming Pisces Full Moon, “The Wine Moon” or Harvest Moon, with a glass of wine and a gathering of friends. But watch out for the Moon conjunct Neptune! [22:50] The Full Moon connects with the last New Moon in that sign, about six months earlier. [23:20] April loves Simone's Astro Feng Shui system, which combines western astrology with the bagua map. Simone describes how you can use it to enhance your New Moon rituals. [25:50] Working with the recent Virgo New Moon and the Pisces Full Moon using this system. [28:20] Where to find Simone's books or book a reading. Join her mailing list at her website, AstroAlchemy.com! [30:20] That's a wrap for The Third Annual Big Sky Astrology Podcast Podathon! [5:43] Today, the Moon in Aquarius squares Uranus (in Taurus) at 3:25 am PDT and then conjuncts Saturn at 5:33 am PDT. The Moon is then Void-of-Course for the entire day before entering Pisces at 9:42 am PDT. [10:18] Let's welcome Dublin-based, consulting and teaching astrologer and therapist Margaret Gray to the show! [11:28] What does the symbolism of the Moon say about areas of compatibility or conflict between two people, both from an astrological and a psychological point of view? [18:35] What if there is a shortfall in that emotional understanding of the Moon? That's where Mercury comes in. Mercury is how we communicate and listen to the lunar realm, the pre-verbal feelings. [20:19] What if a couple has two very different Moon signs? What sort of astrological and maybe psychological tools would Margaret offer for working out their differences? What about Venus, Mars or Saturn? [24:53] Emotional intelligence = Moon and Mercury. [3:38] If you can't contribute $25, April is also inviting donors of only $10 or more to her special episodes for the Equinoxes and Solstices. The September Equinox episode will be released on September 22nd, and will give you a comprehensive look ahead at the coming three months. [4:07] And if you can't contribute financially, that's okay! April shares some ways to help the show for free! [5:04] Podathon week gives April time to give the Moon a little extra attention. The day's Moon sign describes the tempo and pace of the day and the way we cope with things emotionally. [5:35] Today, the Moon finishes up its journey through Capricorn with a trine aspect to Uranus (in Taurus) at 2:23 am PDT; a sextile to Neptune (in Pisces) at 11:21 am PDT and a conjunction to Pluto (in Capricorn) at 2:43 pm PDT. The Moon will then be Void-of Course for six hours before entering Aquarius at 8:41 pm PDT. This morning could provide a helpful environment for adapting to change, especially in your work and career plans. Try giving in a little bit more to your intuition. The Void-of-Course Moon aspect to Pluto can be more challenging emotionally, but it could also be an excellent time to examine routines that may need to reworked. More about the Aquarius Moon tomorrow! [7:02] Today's Big Sky Astrology's guest is Maressa Brown! Maressa is a journalist, author and astrologer with nearly two decades of professional experience with writing, reporting and editing lifestyle content. If you've read an astrology-related article in Parents Magazine, In Style Magazine or Shape, it was almost certainly written by Maressa. She is based in Los Angeles and her first book, Raising Baby by the Stars: A New Parent's Guide to Astrology, will be published by Artisan Books in February 2023. [8:04] What does your Moon sign say about your parenting style? Maressa is a proud Moon in Virgo cat mama! [9:04] Maressa shares insights gleaned from her kitty parenting style and from observing friends and family members who have welcomed little ones in this world. Your Moon sign can indicate how you nurture and want to be nurtured. You can use your Moon and your child's Moon to understand the give-and-take of this nurturing relationship. [9:58] With her Moon in early Virgo, Maressa feels like she's very cerebral but also thoughtful and sensitive to detail. Acts of service, such as helping and researching health topics (very sixth house!), are very much a part of her nurturing style. [10:52] April's Moon in Virgo mom advised little April to clean out a drawer when she got upset. It was all about focusing on the here and now. [11:34] How can a parent really think about the child's Moon sign to help them understand their moods or their needs? Maressa explains how a child's Moon can be thought of as the emotional compass. Their Venus sign can show how a child relates to others. Maressa's book goes into much more details with these topics. [12:40] For example: A Moon in Libra (ruled by Venus) child might feel very nurtured by beautiful surroundings and indulging in all things artistic. Caring, nurturing and security are some Moon keywords, and the Moon's sign in your chart describes how you will perform those functions. [13:24] An Aries Moon baby may love connecting over high energy activities, including competition or even arguing! Aries thrives on being somewhat unsafe, doing new things and pioneering new trails. If that sounds like a weird mix with the security-loving Moon, well, people contain multitudes and can be contradictory, and this can be seen in the birth chart. [14:47] In Maressa's book, parenting experts offer tips on how to hold space for and nurture Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable signs. [15:48] What about the whole process of conception, pregnancy, bringing a new child in to the family? What might the Moon tell us about that? [18:24] Not only is Maressa coming out with a book and planning a wedding, she's also writing the fall astrological guide and monthly horoscopes for InStyle Magazine! Look for it on Apple News. The upcoming Equinox, Mercury retrograde and eclipses will be covered. Get ready to hit the reset button this fall! [21:39] Sign up for Maressa's mailing list at her website to receive updates about her book and other projects. Her book Raising Baby by the Stars: A New Parents' Guide to Astrology will be released in February 2023, but it's available for pre-order now. So pre-order a copy for your favorite parents-to-be and make Maressa's publisher very happy! Pre-order from Amazon.com! [22:54] That's a wrap for DAY TWO of the third annual Big Sky Astrology Podathon! This weekly podcast is audience-funded and your generous donations help April bring this podcast to you each week! It's the Third Annual Big Sky Astrology Podathon! And today is a day of "firsts." It's the first day of the Podathon, and the very first Big Sky Astrology Podcast guest: an interview with a Cardinal sign-dominant (and therefore prone to "being first") astrologer Ms. Mel LaFara! Plus: Today's Moon is in serious Capricorn, but its aspects to Jupiter and Mercury should make things a little bit chattier. And exactly what does it mean for the Moon to be "debilitated"? April goes straight to the source and asks someone who owns such a Moon! This Labor Day week, September 5th through 9th, we bring you the Third Annual Big Sky Astrology Podathon, with daily episodes, amazing guest astrologers and prizes … so many prizes! Make a note to check your podcast feed every day that week for a brand new Mooncentric episode! [4:52] We are moving toward our next Mercury retrograde period, between September 9th and October 2nd. Try to lighten your calendar a bit. [5:56] During the Podathon, April is giving the Moon a little bit more attention. [6:13] Today's Moon is in Capricorn. Capricorn Moon days are excellent for initiating projects, especially ones that you expect to take a while to complete. This Capricorn Moon will square Jupiter in Aries at 5:44 am PDT, which could brighten things up a bit, and square Mercury in Libra at 8:21 am PDT, which could make this Saturn-ruled Moon a little chattier than usual. [7:45] "And now for something completely different" - the Big Sky Astrology Podcast's very first, very special guest, the lovely and talented Mel LaFara of the Energetic Principles Podcast! [10:16] What's up with debilitated Moons? The Moon in Capricorn is considered to be in its detriment. The Capricorn Moon is actually the farthest in its position from where the Moon is at home, Cancer. [12:22] Another troublesome Moon: the Scorpio Moon. A Moon in Mars-ruled Scorpio is in a position of fall, sometimes called "depression." This is due to the Moon in Scorpio being in an opposing position from Taurus, where it's exalted. [14:01] How does Mel use her own natal Capricorn (Saturn-ruled) Moon in opposition to her (Moon-ruled) Sun in Cancer? [16:58] Are planets in their detriment or fall more accentuated in our personalities because we have to work so hard to express them? Are these possibly superpowers?!?! [19:05] Notorious Saturn, lord of maturation, boundaries, and bummers. [20:22] Goats will eat anything! Some practical advice for making the most of a Moon in Capricorn or Scorpio. [24:40] Check out Mel's podcast and website, both called Energetic Principles. You can also find her on Instagram @energeticprinciples. [26:24] Join Mel's mailing list for her newsletter, "The Heavenly Wind," and news of her upcoming courses. [27:49] And that's a wrap for the first day of The Third Annual Podcast! Some of the most well-known celestial alignments within ancestral sites correspond with the annual movement of the sun along the horizon throughout the year - especially on the Solstices and Equinoxes. And one of the most famous is the Sun Dagger at Chaco Canyon. In this season of Mesa Verde Voices, we'll hear about the ways that ancient people observed and tracked the movement of the sun, the moon, and the stars, as well as how these traditions live on in their descendants still today.
