#IIDM #Digital #Marketing Hi, there my name is Teegan from the International Institute of Digital Marketing™ and I'll be giving you 5 tips today that will help your small business succeed. So, the majority of small business owners usually don't know where to start when it comes to digitally market their product, but it can be so simple once broken down. Never before has social media and the online world been so impactful on businesses so if your small business is not on social media yet, it's important that it starts making an appearance soon! The first tip is to start investing in content marketing. Making your own unique content is important for brand awareness, which in essence, will increase your sales and overall success and performance. Successful content marketers use blogs, podcasts, videos, and social media sites to promote themselves and their businesses. The second tip is to check analytics, by doing this it helps you learn about your customer as well as get to know them. Social media platforms, for example, Facebook and Twitter give bits of knowledge on clients' likings, their habits, and in particular the thing they are purchasing. Social media like Facebook and Twitter usually gather feedback from past clients and having good feedback means an opportunity for future clients. As the relationship between the client and the business grows, it showcases to everyone the business's customer loyalty. The third tip is to have an online presence. The majority of people are on social media. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, and LinkedIn are all market leaders. Most people are on social media at least once a day, therefore your next potential client is somewhere online. Other online presence platforms that are important for small businesses are email marketing, Facebook, Google ads, and SEO. Not only is having an online presence a necessity but sticking to it and consistently posting and having an engagement with your audience is key! That leads to the fourth point - have a consistent online reputation. For small businesses, an online positive reputation will allow clients and future clients to see the great service or product provided. A consistent online presence improves your brand and it ranks you higher on Google. Start out by knowing which social media sites your target audience uses most and stay on top of those sites first. Then, engage with your audience and always use tools for automation. The fifth and final tip is to always use hashtags when posting. Hashtags are important for a brand when it comes to digital marketing as they are used to get your content in front of a bigger audience. Hashtags help boost your marketing campaign as well as your marketing strategy and raises awareness of your brand by targeting a specific group/ target audience. And there you have it - 5 marketing tips for small businesses. Having an online presence and staying consistent while getting to know your audience is a key component for small businesses in order to become successful. Welcome to Accessible Housing Matters!   In today's episode, I welcome Dianna Willis, Jeremy Maxand, and Erik Kingston   Dianna Willis is a co-founder and Board President of the Idaho Access Project, a 501c3 non-profit organization advancing equality for people with disabilities. She worked in public health for eight years and has a diverse educational background. In 2013, she earned a M.Ed. degree. She holds an M.A. from Georgetown University in Applied Demography (1999) and a B.A.  from Boise State University in Political Science (1993).  Dianna consults on creating spatial justice in the built environment. In 2020, Dianna served on the Boise Mayor McLean's Movement for Everyone committee and recommended programs and policies to improve transportation and walking options for all. She loves to explore pathways and hiking trails with her current guide dog, Teegan.    Jeremy Maxand is the Executive Director of the Living Independence Network Corporation, one of Idaho's three Centers for Independent Living serving people with disabilities. Jeremy grew up in a small island community in Southeast Alaska and has used a manual wheelchair since 1989.  Jeremy has twenty years of nonprofit management experience, and 10 years in executive leadership.   Jeremy currently serves on the Valley Regional Transit Regional Advisory Council, the Ada County Highway District ADA Advisory Committee, the Idaho State Independent Living Council, the Idaho State Building Code Board, and the Idaho Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster board. He is a founding board member of the Idaho Access Project.   Erik Kingston is the Housing Resources Coordinator for the Idaho Housing Finance Association.  He created the association's Housing Information Referral Center and Housing Hotline in 1998 and has since contributed to statewide programs, strategic planning and outreach initiatives.  Erik teaches Housing as a Second Language each year through the NW Community Development Institute and coordinated the association's 2020-2021 Fair Housing Initiatives Program-Education Outreach Initiative (FHIP-EOI) grant to promote greater awareness of rights and responsibilities under the Fair Housing Act. He created and provides content for RampUpIdaho.org and FairHousingForum.org with input from stakeholders, and manages housingidaho.com. He is certified as a Professional Community and Economic Development professional. He joined the Idaho Access Project in 2020 as a Board Member and serves on the statewide ADA Recreation Committee.
