Ancient forms like chess, oware or backgammon, and more modern classics including Monopoly, Scrabble and Cluedo, have been joined in the last 40 or so years by new inventions such as Rummikub, Catan and Ticket to Ride - all winners of the German prize Spiel des Jahres, or Game of the Year, which started in 1979. The Outer Realm welcomes Scott McClelland, June 29th, 2022-Diablo Manor Tonight live, The Outer Realm welcomes Scott McClelland. Scott will be giving us all some insight into his family lineage, a Bohemian Family that has been running traveling Shows for 104 years.. HE is also a practicing Witch and Paranormalist. Scott McClelland brings 44 years of experience as a producer of extravagant and exciting shows since 1979 to his newest venture. From 1979 to 1991 Scott McClelland produced an old time Vaudeville Show called Prof.Crookshank's Traveling Medicine Show. This production played at the Calgary Stampede, Edmonton's Klondike Days and Buffalo Days in Regina every summer from 1979 to 1985. In 1992 McClelland unleashed Carnival Diablo onto the planet. Originally a Stationary Tourist Attraction in Calgary Alberta that housed over 90 Sideshow and Vaudeville Artifacts and Live Shows nightly... it has now become a Touring Company that has garnered accolades from all over the continent. This award-winning show has toured for the past 30 years drawing large crowds everywhere it goes. It is rich in history being that Scott McClelland's grandfather owned Canada's largest traveling Sideshow from 1920 thru 1968. Scott was brought up around his grandfather's Carnival and Show's and was personally taught the secrets of the trade. For the past 30 years Scott has been the only professional Sideshow trainer in Canada, training 39 performers to date. In 1997 Scott McClelland produced a show based on Supernatural activity LIVE on stage called The Paranormal Show. It played at The Poor Alex Theatre for 16 months every Friday and Saturday night. In 2008 The Paranormal Show completed a successful 2 month run at the Diesel Playhouse, performing 6 Amazing shows a week. And the show played a successful 5 week run at Toronto's Historical Campbell House. The Paranormal Show has played some of the finest Theatres across Canada generating rave reviews. Carnival Diablo and The Paranormal Show have been showcased on The Discovery Channel, TLC, National Geographic, Much Music, A&E and CBC. Sal Velez Jr. (Black Summer, The Way Back, Gente-fied, Savages) is an American actor and one of today's most versatile actors. [Watch the episode on YouTube here] We discuss growing up Puerto Rican in Chicago, quitting the steelworkers union to pursue acting, what it takes to be successful in Hollywood, balancing parenthood and acting, how to enjoy the process, pandemic lessons, and more! A second-generation Puerto Rican, he was discovered in 2001 and invited to audition for Chicago's Second City theatre where he won a three-year scholarship. He studied improv, classical, sketch writing and musical theatre and shortly after joined Second City's Touring Company. His love for performing found him in many Chicago productions including The Goodman Theater, Chicago Theatre Building, Nuyorican Poet Miguel Pinero plays and The Life of Cesar Chaves musicals. In 2020 Sal received a SAG Consideration for “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series” from Netflix for his role of William in “Black Summer”. In addition, he just did Warner Brothers' The Way Back (2020) "The Way Back" starring Ben Affleck directed by Gavin O'connor, in the role of Miguel. An alumnus of #TheSecondCity, Chicago, John Kapelos's theatrical work spans eight years from Second City's Touring Company (1978–1982) to six revues as a member of the famed Resident Company (1982–1986), and finally Second City's critically acclaimed return to off-Broadway in Orwell That Ends Well at the former Village Gate in New York City. His movie highlights include 1999's The Deep End of the Ocean, which received praise from both The New York Times and Roger Ebert from The Chicago Sun Times. His appearance in three John Hughes films, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, and Weird Science, earned him fame in the 1980s as a character actor.

It's Tuesday and ... Megan Gray is this month's guest! Megan is the former Artistic Director of the Magnet Theater, a writer, performer, and native New Yorker. She has performed with Second City aboard the NCL Gem and was a member of Magnet's longest-running resident team "Junior Varsity." She can be seen in such notable shows as "The Armando Diaz Experience" and "The Cast." Megan also produces and hosts the monthly all-women and non-binary improv show "Hearts & Stars." In addition to teaching Level One, Level Four: Busy Town and electives, Megan has taught improvisation at C.W. Post University, Brookdale Community College, Fairfield University, Columbia Business School and festivals and companies around the country. She has studied improv at the Magnet and the UCB Theatre with Armando Diaz, Kevin Dorff, Christina Gausas, Dave Pasquesi, TJ Jagodowski, Jean Villepique, Joe Bill, Dave Razowsky, and many others. Megan graduated with a degree in Dramatic Writing from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and has written for MTV2 and Comedy Central online. She has appeared on "Broad City," "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" and "Late Show With David Letterman." Suzy Nakamura is an actress.  She began her professional career doing small plays, including one show in Siberia.  It was a folktale and she played a bird and she performed it in Siberia. Eventually she was hired to tour with the Touring Company of The Second City. She also opened the first two shows at The Second City Detroit. After moving to Los Angeles, she began guest starring on television, eventually landing recurring roles on The West Wing, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Modern Family. She currently stars with Ken Jeong in Dr. Ken on ABC. Suzy shares a tragedy in her life that has helped her become her own cheerleader to build the confidence to live life on her terms instead of the expectation from others.  Check out her episode to listen to her story. While traveling, he was not satisfied with the quality of golf touring companies. These experiences, coupled with the strict exclusivity of playing Australia's top courses, lead to his creation of LuxGolf. Now, LuxGolf has expanded into New Zealand and Hawaii and has established partnerships with Porsche and Callaway. Travis doesn't plan on stopping there as he has big ideas for himself and his company into the future.
