On today's episode we discuss everything that has taken place this weekend, from wrapping up our Logo Design Contest to a whole weekend of All-Star Caliber baseball! After HUNDREDS of votes, our new design has been chosen by YOU! And we LOVE IT! Thank you to everyone that participated, either by voting or submitting a design. We couldn't have done it without YOU! With the 2022 All-Star Game coming to you live from Dodgers Stadium, it's not surprising that some of entertainment's best are coming out to play. Bryan Cranston, Bad Bunny, Rob Lowe, and Jerry Lorenzen are just four of this year's star-studded celebrity softball game players. Team Brooklyn takes the victory. Moving on, the 2022 MLB Draft drew to a close on Tuesday after three days, 20 rounds, and 616 picks. The action all started on Sunday, when the Baltimore Orioles selected Jackson Holliday, Matt's son and an Oklahoma prep shortstop, with the No. 1 pick. The draft has since featured its trademark number of shockers, including when the Texas Rangers chose former Vanderbilt right-hander Kumar Rocker with the No. 3 pick, throwing boards into disarray. It's going to be an interesting journey to see how this year's drafties all pan out! The 2022 MLB Home Run Derby is set to take place, and Luke goes to witness his FIRST EVER Home Run Derby! Hear all about the full experience here! But if not, Juan Soto is your 2022 Home Run Derby champion after dueling it out with rookie Julio Rodriguez in a battle of the young bats. Juan Soto, just 23 years old, became the second youngest player ever to win the Derby. He is the second Washington Nationals player to win the event (Bryce Harper won in 2018) and the first Dominican-born champion since Robinson Cano (2011) and, of course, last but not least, the MLB All-Star Game, where everyone sits and watches to see if the National League will FINALLY pull off a win... That question will remain unanswered until next year...
On today's episode we talk about the upcoming 2022 MLB All-Star Game, which will take place July 19, in Los Angeles. This will be the second time an All-Star Game is played at Dodger Stadium, as it also hosted the Midsummer Classic in 1980. The rosters for the 2022 edition have been released and the starters were voted in by fans, while the reserves were filled in via player ballot and the commissioner's office. As usual, the game will pit the American League against the National League, with the previous season's pennant-winning managers serving in the same role for their league. That means Astros manager Dusty Baker helms the AL while Braves skipper Brian Snitker leads the NL. Here we run down each league's starting roster and give our takes on each of the selections... This episode is JAMMED PACKED with all things baseball, so if you like baseball, you're going to want to watch this episode. Give us your All-Star Winners, Home Run Derby King, and Number 1 Pick in the 2022 MLB Draft. We want to hear them all!
On today's episode (previously recorded), we catch up to give our thoughts and opinions on the upcoming 2022 MLB all-star game, which, if you haven't heard, is in our backyard of LA. The big question is, which team will fall come all-star break, who will get red hot? There are so many things to look forward to in the next few weeks in the world of baseball but as we move forward, we start talking about human advancements and how Elon Musk's newest project, the Nueralink, is coming sooner than we think. Some of you may be asking, What is the Neuralink? The Neurallink's goal is to build something called a "brain computer interface" that allows people to transmit and receive information between their brain and a computer wirelessly. CRAZY RIGHT!?And before we head on out, we had to mention the Fresno State Bulldogs, who are just under 60 days until kickoff! The Bulldogs have plenty of reasons to believe they'll be serious Mountain West football contenders next fall, but the program's ceiling might be higher than simply a conference title if things break their way during what looks like a typically rigorous September. With Jake Haener, Jalen Cropper, David Perales and more back for 2022, the ‘Dogs are among the most experienced teams anywhere in the conference. It might seem that there isn't a lot of room for new contributors to break out, then, but you'd be mistaken. Because depth figures to be one of this team's biggest strengths, these players are decent bets to make major waves next season.
What's up guys and WELCOME BACK! In today's episode, we look back at the final few weeks of the 2022 college baseball season. Throughout the league, history was made! But one team, Ole Miss, had a fairytale ending; a team full of leaders who overcame a rocky start to the season to become one of the best in college baseball. After all the heartbreaks and close losses, this is the team that finally brings a trophy back to Oxford, Mississippi, and KEEPS it in the state of Mississippi! This Ole Miss baseball team won a national championship. The 2022 Rebels defeated Oklahoma 4-2 in comeback fashion Sunday, scoring three runs in the eighth inning to bring home the first NCAA men's sports championship in school history. This team fell from the No. 1 spot early in SEC play and was in jeopardy of missing the conference tournament on May 1. This team benched all of its starting pitchers in April and had to rely on a junior college transfer and a freshman to save its season. This team, that lost four straight series in April; lost their cleanup hitter Kevin Graham for a month to a wrist injury; lost sophomore Calvin Harris to an oblique injury when he was batting .524; and lost transfer portal pitchers Jack Washburn and John Gaddis to an ankle injury and an appendectomy in April. The team that received the last bid in the NCAA Tournament is the last team standing. Champions of the world! Congratulations, Ole Miss! The Rebels finished the season 42-23, winning 10 of 11 games during a magical run through the postseason. It is the first baseball national championship in program history.Moving along, we get into a deep conversation about the college baseball culture and what the fans mean to the game.. No one supports their college baseball teams like fans from Mississippi, and that leaves us with one question: Is Mississippi the best overall college baseball state? Obviously, it takes more than fan support to win national titles. That's where the teams come in. And that's why Mississippi isn't just on top of the college baseball world today, but is poised to stay there for quite a while.Lastly, some late-breaking news Wes Johnson, the pitching coach of the Minnesota Twins, has been hired as the new pitching coach at LSU. Wes Johnson will begin his tenure at LSU later this week after coaching the Twins in their five-game series against the Cleveland Guardians. Johnson will be making his return to the college ranks and, specifically, to the Southeastern Conference after serving as the Twins' pitching coach since 2019. Prior to joining the Twins, he had filled coaching roles with both the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Arkansas Razorbacks...How do we feel about this? And before we head out, we just want to remind you that our Logo Design Contest is going on NOW! And there are just two weeks left to enter! That's right guys, just two weeks left until July 12th, episode 56. All you have to do is get creative and submit the design to the email below. After all of the designs are submitted, they will then be placed into an Instagram and Twitter poll where YOU, yes, you will get to choose our next logo for The Guys Being Doods Podcast. We hope you all enjoy another GREAT day and we will see you next Tuesday!

Come along for Episode 52 as the doods reflect back on the last 52 weeks and hear about what each dood has learned throughout this journey! It hasn't been an easy, but it definitely has been a fun ride for the Doods as they've interviewed multiple people, built relationships, and got better each week! It's Tuesday and we're back with another episode of Guys Being Doods Podcast! This week, the Doods recap their weekends and we soon learn that Luke's mission to Half Dome, was a fail... With days and months of preparation, no one could be prepared for what turned them around. Again, this wasn't no easy expedition... They were going to climb Half Dome, one of the most dangerous hikes in all of our national parks and the most nerve-racking part about it was, they were going to start ascending at MIDNIGHT! The good thing about what happened is that we still have the Russian. His spirits are a little down, as you will hear in the podcast, but he is doing better after being able to sit back and enjoy a fantastic weekend of College Baseball. So grab your beer and let's enjoy another Tuesday together.
Coming off Memorial Day weekend, the doods catch up by talking a little bit about their weekend. RJ enjoyed some fun in the sun at the lake, while Luke kicked back and began preparing for his upcoming challenge to take on a whopping 16-mile hike, Half Dome in Yosemite. While explaining his emotions and thought process for the upcoming hike, RJ mentions Mike Posner and his incredible story. You know, the one where he WALKED across America? Ya, that one, mainly for the fact that we need to start taking on more challenges without making any excuses, just do it. Many people go on with their lives, never doing or seeing some of life's most precious things. That's why we challenge you to go do something out of your comfort zone, like a hike, sky diving, talking to that girl you like, whatever it may be, JUST DO IT and we guarantee you the feeling after will be unimaginable.

On today's episode, we bring up the recent news of Elon Musk purchasing Twitter for $44 Billion. Why do you think he did such a thing? We think he is going to be furthering human technology using the information Twitter can provide him. It's a long shot, but if there is one thing we do know, it's that Elon Musk is not afraid to dabble with the unknown. Flipping topics, Luke is headed on another hike, SMH! He didn't learn from the previous time he went and ended up getting lost! This time, he is headed to Yosemite National Park and is going to climb up to the top of Half Dome. Crazy if you ask me, but that's Luke for you! NBA Playoffs are in FULL EFFECT! We only got eight teams left and we think we know exactly who moves on from Round 2! Will Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks continue to dominate their way through the playoffs or will Jayson Tatum and the Celtics put an end to their playoff run? Tune in now to hear the rest of our series predictions and stay up to date with our Twitter for all the breaking news happening in the league!Thank you guys for tuning in and watching the video! It would be amazing if you can leave a like on this video! There's nothing better than seeing our viewers interacting back with us. It fires us up! On today's episode, we sit down and talk about the amazing career and journey Miguel Cabrera has had in the league. Just recently, Miggy reached the 3,000 hit club and we couldn't be more impressed by the way he did it! True CLASSIC Miggy form! The one thing that is alarming about Miguel Cabrera reaching the 3,000 hit club is that we may NEVER see another player in HISTORY to do it! RJ pulls up a graphic from MLB Tonight a few days ago and the active hit leaders in the MLB are 1. Albert Pujols (3,308), 2. Miguel Cabrera (3,000), & 3. Robinson Cano (2,629)... The rest behind those three aren't even remotely close. We might be looking at another 10 - 15 years until we see another 3,000 hits member. On the other side of the league, Gerritt Cole is having a shaky start to the year... Luke mentions that the last time he saw Gerritt Cole pitch, was last year at the same time the "sticky stuff" situation broke the news across the league. The Doods believe Gerritt Cole's recent outings should not be a surprise... He used to use "sticky stuff" and ever since the MLB has been stricter on the rules, he hasn't been the same... Tune in now to hear the rest of what we have to say!
On today's episode, we talk about our Easter weekend and how Big Rob forgot his girlfriend... safe to say she was upset! Moving on, Coachella weekend 1 occurred this past weekend, back after 3 years (2019) since the last time we have seen Coachella in action, what was the best moment of the weekend? If you weren't at Coachella listening to good music, then I'm sure you got to see MLB legend, Ichiro Suzuki toss the 1st pitch for the Mariners opening day, full uni, full windup, the whole 9 yards! Talk about a feel good moment... Did Clayton Kershaw get pulled to soon? 7 innings, 13 strikeouts, 80 pitches, perfect game on the line, Dave Roberts pulls him... After over 200,000 MLB baseball games only 23 perfect games ever recorded! April 13, 2022 could've been a day the Dodgers fans would've remembered forever and now we will never know, comment your thoughts.
On today's episode, Blake King joins the doods for another banger of an episode, If you are a long time viewer then you should recognize this face all the way back to our very FIRST interview Ep. 2 “Blake King is the Funniest Doods Ever” well he is BACK and BETTER... We start off chatting about a pretty gnarly scenario that occurred while attending the Fresno Grizzlies home-opening series, we got robbed… things happen, and were okay, moving onto a more exciting note for all of our baseball gurus out there, MLB is OFFICIALLY ROLLING! What a great Opening weekend, Rockies take down a very good Dodger squad, Shohei Ohtani continues to dominate, did RJ predict Nolan Arendado's season? What does the Cardinals season look like? Blake claims here that Jazz Chisholm will be the next MVP within the next 5 years, can we see it? A conversation that could go both ways is whether or not the game of baseball has changed for better or for worse, could Nolan Ryan compete in today's baseball, and would Juan Soto be able to be a hitting machine during the Lou Gehrig era. All talked about here only on Guys Being Doods Podcast... Dodger fans stay tuned all the way to the end and play along as Blake answers a series of Dodger questions!
On todays episode, the 2022 MLB season is finally here. With just days to go until Opening Day, hope is high among all teams that this will be their year to win a World Series. Throughout the episode we breakdown some of the best players throughout the game based on impact, stats, & more. Will Ohtani continue to steamroll the league or will there be a new reigning top dog? Who will make the playoffs? Who's winning the World Series? Exciting stuff tonight on GBD episode 42... so tune in and spend some time with your DOODS

Of course March Madness is causing, lots of MADNESS, hence its name, as the sweet 16 approaches how does your bracket compare to the others? Are you a top dog in your group? TCU vs Arizona might've been the top game so far in the tournament, I mean talk about last second!!! Thank you guys for tuning in and watching the video! On today's episode Hunter Bryan checks back in to talk some hectic baseball, what's the latest on the MLB lockout? Is Minor League effected? We cover our top 5... Texas, who's lead by Oak Ridge alum Pete Hansen, Ole Miss, who is prolly one of the top fundamentally sound squads, NC State, who has the PHENOM TOMMY TANKS! Tennessee, who just puts a beating on you & Stanford, fear the tree... This episode was an exciting one as the doods just shot back and forth their thoughts on everything that has partaken, BUT a conversation for all, could be how our Central Valley has produced D1 athletes for years and years now, but many have left to "Bigger" & "Better" opportunities, if we gave athletes the environment to WANT to come be a BULLDOG and had the proper facilities to adequately help the athletes preform to the highest of their ability not only would athletes want to come be apart of the atmosphere but winning would occur and what happens when you win? More people & more money... we know this has been a conversation for quiet some time now but why? what changes aren't being made to allow GREATNESS at Fresno State?
On todays episode, we cover our thoughts and opinions behind opening day of the 2022 college baseball season. Including breaking down the D1 Baseball Top 5 rankings, can Texas hold that number 1 spot, will Arkansas pitching staff step up and do the job after losing ace Peyton Pallette for the remainder of the season, Long Beach State is GRITTY & more only on episode 36!

Episode 30 is with none other than Mr. Jeff Allison, former linebacker at Fresno State University, born and raised in Miami, Florida than later moved to Atlanta to attend High School. Jeff grew up with football being all he knew. Finding the ball and making the tackle, it was that very motto that took Mr. Allison on a journey through getting recruited... Finding Fresno State, home, for the next 3 years... Jeff went on to achieve great success with his time at Fresno State recording over 279 tackles, multiple Mountain West First Team Awards, and a spectacular 2018, 12-2 run which was capped off by Fresno State winning The Mountain West Conference, the Las Vegas Bowl and Jeff being named Mountain West Player of the Year...It was time for Jeff to move on to bigger and better things for his career and enter the NFL Draft...
