In this week's Limitless Challenge call, Emylee Vodden walks you through a powerful framework for habit formation, inspired by Atomic Habits by James Clear. Whether you're trying to build a morning routine, save money, or finally ditch the doom scroll, this episode helps you get clear on the “structured how.” Learn how to make good habits obvious, attractive, easy, and satisfying — and break bad ones by reversing the formula. Plus, Emylee shares real-life examples from her own journey and the community's progress to help you systemize the life you actually want.Welcome to the Pac, please make sure you subscribe wherever you are listening to this show and if you loved this show please leave us a 5 star review in the iTunes store. Most people think they're in a caloric deficit… until they realize they're not. In this clip from the Limitless Challenge weekend call, I break down what a true caloric deficit actually looks like, why it's essential for fat loss, and how to track it without obsessing over every bite. If you've hit a plateau or are frustrated by your results, this might be the missing piece. Let's make sure the work you're putting in is actually getting you closer to your goals.Welcome to the Pac, please make sure you subscribe wherever you are listening to this show and if you loved this show please leave us a 5 star review in the iTunes store. Emylee here back once again! This week, I'm sharing something personal from inside the Limitless Challenge—a practice I've been using to call out the quiet, sneaky stories I tell myself that hold me back. Stories like “I have no time,” “I have no self-control,” or “I don't finish what I start.” Sound familiar? In this episode, I walk through how I've been learning to separate story from truth—and how that shift is helping me take real action toward the life I want. If you've ever felt stuck in shame, overwhelm, or procrastination, I hope this conversation helps you feel seen, supported, and ready to rewrite your own story. You don't have to do this alone—we're stronger as a pack.Welcome to the Pac, please make sure you subscribe wherever you are listening to this show and if you loved this show please leave us a 5 star review in the iTunes store. In today's episode, I'm stepping in as your guest host, Emylee Vodden. We don't fail because we're lazy—we fail because we build routines that only work when we're at our best. In this episode, I'm flipping that script. What's the laziest version of you still willing to do? That's where the real change happens. Whether it's drinking water before coffee, hitting your step count even on a rough day, or having go-to meals prepped, we're talking about building bare minimum habits that still move you forward. This is how we make consistency sustainable—by anchoring to non-negotiables that reflect our real lives, not just our ideal selves. I also walk through how to define your value system, how to create alignment between your goals and your actions, and why it's okay to mess up—as long as you don't miss twice.Let's stop chasing perfection and start building momentum—one low-friction habit at a time.Welcome to the Pac, please make sure you subscribe wherever you are listening to this show and if you loved this show please leave us a 5 star review in the iTunes store. Welcome back to the rewind podcast series, going back over our favorite podcasts over the years. This podcast is on what I call high-performance hypertrophy. This came about from my love of bodybuilding and CrossFit, wanting to get the best of both worlds, build muscle, look good, feel good, and still feel capable and athletic while still focusing on some aesthetic stuff. So I basically combined a lot of bodybuilding exercises with a lot of CrossFit-type exercises, and it basically evolved into something called high-performance hypertrophy. And a lot of the programs that I write, especially for Build fall into this category. This program is now available to all those on the Limitless Challenge. We cover why it exists, who it's for, what it requires, and what can be expected from it. It's a tough program for tough people ... are you ready for it?Connect with Piet and PharosPiet's InstagramPharos InstagramPharos Mountain Lodge InstagramWebsiteSign Up HereWelcome to the Pharos Fit Podcast. Pharos Fit Rewind #3 - Train to Avoid PainThis next podcast is trying to avoid pain with Emylee Covell, who is an expert in all things prehab, rehab, and mobility. We talk about assessing, position activation, ranges of motion, and adhesion. We want people to stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible. It's not just about breaking the body down all the time with exercise. It's about building the body up and being smart as well as hard.Feeling pain doesn't mean your body has failed. In fact, it signals a body doing its job by letting you know something's up. By heeding its wise (if blunt) counsel, you can effectively identify and deal with the cause. For most of us, the natural response to pain signals is resistance—to push them away or deny that they even exist. Yet ignoring pain only serves to add an extra layer of angst to an already unpleasant situation. Not only do you still have the pain to deal with, but now you have to keep up the ruse that the pain isn't really there. Inviting pain in is the first step to understanding how to come to terms with it.Today I'm joined with my co-owner and wife Emylee Covell co-owner of Pharos Athletic Club. Overcoming an unhealthy childhood of obesity, rheumatoid arthritis and hip dysplasia, Emylee sought a healthier life by challenging her preconceived notions of what her body was capable of. She has student Kinesiology at USC before and is certified in ACE, CMTC, Myokinesis Integration and CrossFit L1.Here at Pharos e do a lot of lifting, we do a lot of moving, we do a lot of running, and we do a lot of boxing. And as we know, the more things we do, the more things we need to recover from. So for today's episode, we sit down with Emylee Covell and talk about the best ways to prepare for and to recover from activity in and out of the gym.Connect with Piet and PharosJoin The Limitless ChallengePiet's InstagramEmylee's InstagramPharos InstagramPharos Mountain Lodge InstagramWebsiteWelcome to the Pharos Fit Podcast. This is episode two of our Pharos Rewind series. This is the second podcast we ever did and goes into the 7 pillars of Pharos Athletic Club. We developed these pillars to really cement our vision, our purpose, our goals, and what we stand for at Pharos Athletic Club. I think every company should develop pillars like these. It really reminds us who we are and what we want to do. It sets the foundation for the company and as we move forward with any forward motion, we always go back to these pillars. We do this because this is what's important to us. This is what matters. Through the good times, and bad times, whatever happens, you always have to go back to your pillars and remind yourself who you are and what you want to do in the business that you run. So I hope you guys enjoy it. Let me know your thoughts and I'll see you in the gym real soon. The 7 Pillars1 SHOW UP2 BUILD OTHERS3 NOTICE THE LITTLE THINGS4 CHASE KNOWLEDGE 5 ANTICIPATE THE CURRENTS6 MOVE WITH PURPOSE7 LEAD WITH LIGHTIt's not about the workout, it's about the sensation you have in your body when you leave the building. Pharos Fit Rewind! Some of you guys know me and Emily and another baby were about to go on maternity leave. So I'm going to record my new podcast. During this time, we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you guys or reintroduce you guys. There are some old podcasts from way back in the beginning. So we want to take an opportunity to tell the story of the beginnings of families. And this first episode Emily, Jeff, and myself. We talk about the beginning. We talk about how this whole thing came to be, how we came together, and how with our other partners, we started our athletic club. It's a great lesson. It lets you know who we are, where we come from, and what the vision of this place was. So we hope you enjoy it. I've been fortunate enough to have some badass women on the podcast, and Sarah Williams certainly fits into that category. Photographer, adventurer, explorer, Ice Therapist, and owner of Adventure Fit. Sarah is on a mission to “inspire change through Athletic nature experiences.” In this podcast, we learn what this mission entails, what she is building, and how she is helping people. We talk about ice therapy, isolation, connection, and all the things she has learned about the human condition. You should know that Sarah lived for 5 days in a pitch-black cave with no food, minimal access to fresh water, and no contact with the outside world. She might be the toughest person I know. This week I sit down with the amazing Will Harris from White Oak Pastures. Will is a pioneer in the Regenerative Farming movement and has managed to build something very special in Blufton Georgia; a Carbon Negative Farm that produces some of the highest quality meat on the planet whilst treating the animals as humanely as possible. White Oak Pastures has not only managed to restore the land, but it has also managed to provide jobs and stimulate the economy in Blufton itself, and so restoring a once struggling community. We talk about what it means to be a true steward of the land, the problems with chemicals and industrial farming, the challenges a regenerative farm faces, and how we fix the environmental problems that we have created by interfering with the natural cycles of life. There is so much in this Podcast, I strongly encourage anyone that gives a damn to listen. Be educated, be aware, and be inspired. This week Pieter answers questions from Limitless Challengers. Questions and considerations always arise on the Challenge; whether it be nutrition, mindset, workouts, sleep…. Often things you didn't expect. Themes are often common and repeating and by the time we get to the halfway point, we can use problems and mistakes to navigate a better journey. Great for anyone trying to go through a transformation, get healthier and happier, or of course try to win The Challenge itself! The Posterior Chain (Part 1) If like me you are not genetically gifted with good legs it's a good idea to train your legs twice a week. Usually, we spend one session focusing more on the quads and the other more on the Hamstrings (you will work both but the emphasis will change ). However, for me, Thursdays are my “hinge”/posterior chain/hamstring day. So I focus on leg curls, Good Mornings, Deadlift Variations, RDLs, Extensions etc. Done right it's a great exercise, done wrong it's a trip to the chiropractor, so practice light and make steady progressions. Position and intention are everything! In today's episode, we will be discussing what the posterior chain is, how we use it and why is it so important.
