    A literal coffee run this morning - a quick one Creating a course?? Here's a couple of hot tips xx There's a ton of questions I've had over the years from people about HOW to create online courses. They may have already had a ton of success in the land of working 1:1 with people and now they're wanting to leverage what they're doing and what they know…. Or they be just starting out. Either way, I've been running coaching programs and courses now for 12+ years (I know!) and there's a few ways that I've tested that work: 1) Pre-create your course and then sell it – evergreen or live with Q&A's mixed in, etc. 2) Sell it then create it LIVE and then retire it 3) Sell it then create it LIVE and then sell it cheaper as an evergreen/self paced program These have been probably the three main things I've tested over the years. When I was first starting out I liked the idea of pre-creating it. That provided me with a sense of certainty and that I knew what I was selling! It was legit… almost like having the physical product in my hand. However, the first one that I did like this, I only pre-created the first two modules. Then, I waited for people to have signed up before creating more. I was always at least one week in advance of where my clients were. It worked well for me. It also meant I didn't spend months pre-creating something when I wasn't even sure that it would sell!!! I've run other programs where I have run them in ‘rounds', whereby I'd create the program / deliver the program live and then it would get ‘archived' so to speak. These were high end programs that I was delivering and I didn't really want to be releasing what I was teaching to anyone else once that ‘round' of the program was done. I wanted to deliver them LIVE every time. I also found results were better and people actually went and consumed the training when it was delivered live versus sitting there always available. Thirdly, I still do this with some of my programs today – for my lower end programs. I deliver them live, then they get put into my membership portal and I can if I choose to, release them as self-paced study programs. The best advice I can give you, from experience personally and seeing that of clients, is to start where you want to start… but I wouldn't go creating everything in advance before selling it.     It's SO obvious - probably to everyone else!

    Simplify. Simplify. Simplify!!! This morning I was struck with a lightning bolt to the brain about how we ( including myself) tend to overcomplicate things. We know, as experts, that there are many steps to what we need to do in order to achieve an outcome and a transformation for our clients, right? But… if we go ‘out to market' with a zillion steps, trying to share everything with them, it can get very overwhelming for our audiences'. I picked up a book this morning that I haven't read yet, and had a quick flick through it… the things I saw in there was SO obvious… and also very much simplified. I was in a bit of shock, actually. Super, super simplified. This was the catalyst for me, today, to remind YOU (and me) to make things as simple as we can for people….. and I set out a challenge to you. The challenge is to follow these four steps for the next 2 weeks: 1 - Simplify and chose one area 2 - map out perhaps 6 things that you can talk about only on that one area 3 - Story - think about what ones to tell 4 - What would you do if this was your whole focus for the next 2 weeks?     The Coffee Run LIVE Ep621 Quick reminder this morning for you to find a way to do the things that you love to do :) In a crazy ole world there seems to be some feelings of hope, optimism and a touch of excitement with the thinking and planning for next year - both for myself and for my clients - which is kind of exciting!! And god knows we need it after the past couple of years!! If we take a look at the last 2 years, many business & practice owners have been in survival mode. Quite literally. Just taking each day as it comes, step by step and I think we've been trying hard to not put too many plans in place because the best laid plans over the past 2 years have been often thwarted. With this new energy that seems to be around, it's nice to look at the next 12-14 months and start to get a little - albeit tentatively - excited. I wanted to take some time today to remind you that RIGHT NOW is a great time for you to start to put some plans in place for you to do the things that you love to do. Be it events, workshops, online courses, coaching, taking more time out and actively practicing more balance in your day to day life. It's important that you put plans in place. The four things I suggest you do (I go into more in detail in the vid) are: - What feels right? What do you WANT? - What's in alignment? - What's OUT of alignment? - Take action every day!!     Quick TCR before I eat my own arm - I'm starving Remember to not neglect your old stuff! Found a TREASURE TROVE of goodness this morning!!! So.... if you're anything at all like me, I am EXCELLENT at jotting down ideas, outlines and thoughts for content, for free things, for training ideas, for book ideas and even for programs... but I'll often not do anything with them. Not really sure why.. I think it's because I tend to forget about them. There's a lot. This morning I was going to grab some envelopes out of my cupboard so I can post copies of Into The Spotlight around the country (and the world) and REDISCOVERED a TON of things that I have been sitting on. These reinspired me. They reminded me that I have so much sitting here that the world hasn't even seen yet! (What the heck!?!? I know. it's nuts).     The Coffee Run Ep616 Resourceful strategies for coping!! In the world, at the moment there is A LOT going on. There are a lot of changes that, quite frankly, we don't have a whole lot of control over. From our ability to perhaps do things the way we'd ultimately love to do them, to travel, to connecting and even to the way that we might LIKE to show up every day... There's a lot to navigate.. and for some of us (me included) it can feel like I have NO CONTROL over freaking anything... and there have been times where I might feel like I have no control and therefore I spin.... which leads to overwhelm which leads to inaction which can lead to me then falling in a heap. Yes. I am not immune to it! This is rare, but it can happen. This morning I thought I would walk you through some RESOURCEFUL coping strategies. (Things that are not necessarily resourceful are things like lashing out, hiding, sabotaging yourself, etc). Hope this helps! Nic x

    LIVE from my bedroom The perfect place for Dreamgineering This morning we were joined by my two daughters towards the end of today's livestream!!! We all had a bit of a giggle about that! Meanwhile... what I was sharing with you today is the way that you can Dreamgineer what it you ACTUALLY want. It can be super hard to plan and then take action on things when you don't FEEL like they're aligned with where you're and waht you're wanting to create. I remember the very first time I did this exercise of writing was to do this (and I encourage you to do this too. Regularly, in fact) 1) What does your IDEAL DAY look like? What kind of work are you doing and how? Leisure time? Social time? Fun time? 2) What does your IDEAL WEEK look like? How many days are you working? What else are you doing? Are you studying? Cross skilling or upskilling? Leisure time? Social time? Fun time? Put as much detail in here as you can. THEN write a 'story' pretending that it's 12 months in the future.. and everything has worked out exactly like this. THEN write out your Next Required Actions and what you're going to focus on for the next 9-10 weeks till the end of the year. You can then plan what you might do in Q1 ... And then plan waht you might do in Q2. That way your plans are aligned with your dreams and you're CONSCIOUSLY creating (manifesting) the kind of life and business you want And... this stuff comes true!!! Literally today on the live you met my two daughters! I wrote about one of my ideal days a few years ago, being, that my kids would be home, Dom would be working from home and there's laughter through the whole house. (No. I didn't manifest lockdowns for us, but I did manifest this kind of lifestyle!!). The only difference is that we're not by the beach!!! #manifestationdelay!!! Get onto this. It's important work. Spend a few hours doing it and really get into that space of consciously creating the life and business that you desire.

    Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll likely be aware that one of the best ways to build relationships online is to help people BEFORE they pay you!!!! I'm not talking about helping them 1:1 or in a long-term-unpaid relationship - o hells no!!!! - but more helping them to get results by learning from you BEFORE buying from you. you might like to call this the ‘Results In Advance' strategy. The way that I look at this, is that there are three main steps to making this work for you AND for them. For you, it's about leveraging your knowledge and your reach. (This then fuels your impact, by the way!!). You need to first of all work out what your audience feels like they want, need … or what is the presenting problem that they have that they need help with. You need to know their symptoms first of all. Next, you want to triage them. You need to identify their symptoms and let them know that they can access help from you - for free - before paying you any money whatsoever. Let them know that they're not alone. Let them know that there is a way that they can move beyond where they are right now. That they can access help and support for free by way of downloading/accessing this free thing that you have put together. Next, you've got to actually solve it for them! Help them get a result. Provide to them 3-5-7-9 steps (Hint: Don't make it too big otherwise people can end up in the land of overwhelm and won't do anything with what you've given them). Naturally, there will be some people who will be enamoured with you. Who will be leaping out of their seats and through their screens to try and work with you. Others might take a bit more time to feel that level of safety and comfort and trust with you…. So it's important that you continue adding value through your marketing and through your content consistently. As always, catch the full replay where I talk about all of this - and more… of course!     Join us for The Coffee Run Ep613 Most people when they think about niche end up thinking one of these three things: 1. I don't want to cut out 75% of the population. I can help everyone. 2. My people are male/female 25-70 cause I can help most people. I don't want to ‘niche down'. 3. I've done this before and it never really helps me. The downside to these three almost-automatic-responses is that they leave you wanting. They leave you struggling with your marketing and with your content. It is NOT a quick 5-minute job, either! Sorry not sorry. So here's the thing. If you know you need to do more ‘stuff' on social…. if you know you need to leverage it… if you know that you need to be more visible…. You cannot (and should not) half ass this. When you do this properly, I'd encourage you to take at least a three hour block of time to work through this stuff. It's SUPER important. Another topic we touched on this morning, was The Heroes Journey. (Search it up and take a look at the graphic demonstration of what I was talking about). I had a meeting this morning with my accountant about last financial year (we run from 1 July - 30th of June here in Aus) and he asked me when looking at the numbers “Are you happy with your numbers from last year?” … to which I laughed!!!!! An important question you need to answer for yourself is: What are your measures of success? Your measures of success will be different to mine. Which are likely to be different to someone else you know.. not because one is better or worse than the other.. but because we all have different values. When we think about our hierarchy of values (which change, by the way)… it's important to think about how we are demonstrating those through what we put out there. Are ALL of our values important to communicate? Your values ripple through everything you put out there! They help people to see ‘behind the curtain' We talked about why is THAT important?     Welcome to the end of day 1 HOTSEAT This afternoon I wanted to share with you the importance of CYOB/CYA (Cover Your Own Butt or Cover Your Ass!!! Whichever feels good for you!) in your business. We talked through the importance of having a PROCESS (I know, it's not super exciting) for your sales process, the importance of having a refund policy and the importance of having an onboarding process. It's crucial that you can communicate this simply and easily if ever questioned about it, too! Again: CYOB!!! * Clearly articulate to people what they're going to get * How they're going to get it * What the reasonable outcome they'll have as a result of it. WINNING!! Also, at the end of every client session I run and or event I run, I always ask "What's the best most awesomest thing about our session/our day?" Today was no different! Every single person said (in various ways) that it was about having the TIME AND THE SPACE to work on what needed to be worked on. (please don't vomit!!). However, I don't want you sitting at your computer all day every day either, just doing this! You have kids to hang out with, clients to help…. other things to do that do not necessarily involve you being on social media all day every day. I think, far too often, when we're thinking about marketing ourselves we get caught up in ‘how am I going to make myself be seen as being different compared to everyone else”. IT's very very common. Yes, what you know is important… and sharing that with the world. But how many different ways can bread cutting knife experts explain the point of difference with their method of cutting bread?!!?? Celebrity Chefs are a great example of this. They all have their own style and flair with what they do, and they might have different tweaks… But Nigella is popular because it's her. Gordon Ramsay is popular because of his personality. YOU are the most important point of difference there is! Make sure you own it!     The Coffee Run Ep605 - Pricing your programs Online programs and trainings have been around for a LONG time…but for some it's a brand new frontier for some. Perhaps you've been doing what you do in person, 1:1 or even in groups and events….. yet, what we know, with the latest lockdowns, cancellations and instability when it comes to doing things in the same ways you've been doing them…. the online options are looking better and better every day! The thing is though, is that many feel daunted. Should you do a 1 day online event. A week-long event. Shift to individual sessions online. Run a full program. An annual thing. What about zoom fatigue…is it a thing? What about running things on FB… even that seems unstable at the moment. Most resolve to do something online and in fact, welcome the thought of it. There are SO many platforms that make life easier to them these days…. And so you outline a course. Or an online event. You nut out the topics, the detail, the modules, the duration, the slides or the imagery. You work on the infrastructure, the key learnings, the outcomes. You work on who you want in there. You work on IT ALL. Ask me how I know this!!! Go on ;) Ok. I'll tell you (you knew I would!!). THIS WAS ME. In 2010 I had notebook after notebook of online courses, books, ideas, immersions, workshops and events (in person and online) that I wanted to run. AND THEN…. when it came to promoting it, I hit what felt like a huge wall. It wasn't that I wasn't confident about running them. I was. It wasn't that I was procrastinating… I didn't feel like I was. It wasn't that I didn't believe there'd be people out there who would buy. I believed it. I had NO IDEA how to price them. I mean, a book. Easy peasy. somewhere between $1 and $30 you're in the ballpark. But an ONLINE COURSE or an online event. Should I price it the same as an in person? (But my costs are less, so surely I ‘should' pass those on?). Early bird? �Payment plan? Installments? HOW???? Price expensive? Offer 1:1's as part of it to increase the perceived value. Ugh. It was a mine field of doubt and uncertainty back then. And, for those o you who I've spoken to … it's still a topic fraught with doubt and uncertainty! We don't want to appear greedy but we want to ‘charge what we're worth'…. but how do you determine WHAT that is? How do we quantify it? Because we are WORTH A LIMITLESS AMOUNT OF FINANCIAL ABUNDANCE!!!! Limit.Less. No limits. So where do you start? 1. Ask yourself how much you WANT to charge. And then charge it :) hahah! That simple. 2. What feels ALIGNED for you to charge? Sometimes it can be $47, sometimes $5000 and sometimes more and sometimes less. You can charge whatever you want. 3. Do you BELIEVE, wholeheartedly that the value is in there at the price you want to set? If not, increase the value. If it is, WOOT! There you go. That's your price to start at. 4. This is going to sound weird… but do some muscle testing on the pricing. (you can google how to do it. It's simple and all you need is your body!!!!). 5. Don't worry about what anyone else in your industry is charging. They will have done the above steps for them, and that's their price. Not yours. Hope this helps!     Yes! SURPRISE!!! I'm going LIVE early today! Welcome to : The Coffee Run Ep604 - 3 things you forgot about your ideal client 1. They are human! 2. They have thoughts, feelings!! 3. They are not random people on the internet.. they are like you and I!!!! And thus, when people are feeling like they don't have what they want yet, they tend to operate in a few different ways. They can either be actively looking and asking for help. They might be killing time (which as we know is generally procrastinating) and stumble across you. They might be stalking you (aka getting to know you!) through your content. HONESTLY though, how many times do YOU stumble across something on SM and you think “how did they know what was going on in my head?” or … “WOW! They nailed that. That's exactly what I needed to hear today”…. but then…. you may not comment on what you've seen. I personally do this all the time. It doesn't mean I don't want what they're talking about. It doesn't mean I haven't engaged with them (cause I did it in my head). It doesn't mean ANYTHING other than it resonated with me…. and maybe my automatic ‘refresh trigger finger' did the ‘refresh feed' thing and BAM, the post I was reading was gone…. Don't take it personally if people don't necessarily VISIBLY interact with you. It doesn't mean they're not engaging in their heads! Your job is to continue putting out value. Continue putting out content. �Be the person that is always showing up. Always being seen. Always sharing and adding value. (Make sure you're adding Calls to Action in your ‘stuff' as well, of course, so people know that they can actually buy from you!!!!) They wander around, thinking and thinking about what they're going to talk about. Worrying about it. Overthinking it. That then tends to have a knock on effect to their confidence... worrying how their peers are going to view the. Wondering what their audience is going to think. This leads to procrastination and inevitably another day going by without 'fresh content' showing up on your page.. and in the feeds of your ideal audience. So how do you fix this? There are 5 steps to making this easier for you... so you CAN (and will) create content that is helpful, impactful and ultimately gets your audience doing something with what you're sharing ! Here are the 5 steps : 1. Demographics 2. worried about? Problems? stress over? Struggling? 3. Goals, dreams or desires? 4. What do they feel like they need? 5. What do they actually need? Now that you have these five steps under your belt, it's time for you to NOW start creating content that helps them, inspires them, problem solves for them and helps them to get what they want!     What do YOU do to recharge? I have to admit something to you today. I have been feeling creatively challenged. Lacking inspiration. Feeling, well, kind of flat. Funky. Not really super happy…. - covid - national tour made virtual - not sure about skating So I allowed myself a pity party. And this is how MY pity part went: - renovated - drafted a new course!! - BUT I still followed routines - Studied - Gave myself permission to ride this wave of whatever it is. The thing is, you can always find your way back…. but most often it's when you stop putting on so much pressure to keep pressing forward, forward, forward. Sometimes you need to just tread water and remember that treading water doesn't mean going backwards. It just means you're taking a rest for a moment! VISIBLE LIVE was amazing! It reminded me of how much I freaking LOVE it! It reminded me how important it is for people to SEE and witness their own brilliance… but that often doesn't happen until it's down there in black and white!!!! So here's the thing you need to do in order to get YOU out there – to feel like you're ‘on message'. To feel like you CAN do this. To feel confident and certain in what you're producing: - Get clear - Know WHO you want to help - remember they're multi faceted - immerse yourself in getting to know that person intimately - then start working out what you can do to help that person - then put your stuff out there!!!

They want to help more people than they are right now and they know - although many wish it weren't so - that they have to be 'out there' in order to make this happen. It's true. You do need to be 'out there'. You do have to be visible... Otherwise your audience doesn't even know that you exist. So here's 3 things you can do: Commit to 30 days of relentlessly being committed to what you say you want double your activity lifestyle content, photos of yourself, See how you feel about it all at the end of that 30 days What's next?     Most people who are in business want to make money and generally speaking, in their heart of hearts, they want to make lots of money. Some will language that as 'enough money' ... but if we get down to what they really really want.... it's about having enough money to create IMPACT in the world. For instance, they want money to be able to leave a legacy for their children. They want money to donate to charities and causes that are important to them. They want money to be able to create freedom and choice. They want it so they can be generous without restraint..... People generally don't want money so they can see it sitting in their account growing and growing for the sake of it... it's about how it makes them feel, what they can do with it, etc. We've got to find a way to work out HOW to make that kind of stuff happen. Task 1: Work out how much our break even $$ is. Task 2: Part 1: What does your ideal day look like and cost - in both your Personal Financial House and your Business Financial Houses? Part 2: How much do you need to make in order to live your ideal life where you can do the above. Task 3: Get out of your own way and get rid of your money blocks!!!!     Well. Yesterday I was on the phone with an insurance company about a claim we've made under our travel insurance. Far. Out. The thing with everyone is that they want to feel heard and understood. They may not like the advice (such as we can't help you, suck it up and do it anyway and even trust the process). One of the best things I learned at The Bank was a complaint resolution process. I've been running a program called Contentology over the past month (daily content prompts) and the results most people see when they post something non-business related daily is insane! The engagement that they have on their pages is nuts. Their income increases. They all benefit. And they don't have huge numbers. So how do you go about doing this and maximising what you've got? Well, some of the things that are going to be even more important over the coming year or two when the online marketing of business on social media swells and continues that way. The thing is this: People don't just vibe with you because of what you say - literal words out of your mouth or the written ones..... Kids - watch and learn not just by what you say but also by your actions. Are you valuing yourself and your individuality in your home life? Work out? Hobby? Add the things you share with them and tell them We've been talking about consent and sex and how to treat people and how to expect to be treated. Then we have an obligation to model that So. With what you put out online it's the same, right? You say things and that's great. But are you also showing by your actions that you're walking your talk??     Welcome to TCR592 ok. We all know that in order to have a business we need to make money. And in order to make money we need to have clients. And in order to get clients, they need to know who we are and that we exist. And in order for that to happen, we need to be VISIBLE. And in order to be visible we need to put ourselves out there. And in order to put ourselves out there we need to …….. Well! The first ‘key' to putting yourself out there is to decide what it is that you want to talk about and what you're actually going to put ‘out there', right? Yes. ( I see you nodding there!). There are a couple of great things that you can do (almost right now) that work in tandem with each other: Regular content to educate, help and entertain your audience and secondly, putting out a lead magnet that you have put together to help them in a bit more detail on a specific problem. You need to know your niche! Not in a '40 years and struggling with the juggle' type of niche. What do they say? What is their self talk? What are their emotions? What are their thoughts? What actions are they taking / not taking / avoiding? Then. You need to know what they WANT. How do they want to feel? What do they want to do? What will this do for them? How will this change them? Then: You need to let them know what you've got for them and how it will help. Then, tell them how to access what you've put together. REMEMBER. There are two ways to use this copy. The first is on the ad or the post that you're going to put out there. Secondly, you'll have some copy (not much) on the landing page where they will enter their info to download. Simple!     Nicola, why do you always tie everything into the rockstar thing? Let me answer this for you! Let's roll! TCR 589 Branding? Personal branding? Passions? Professionalism? Is it all that … or is it just some stupid gimmick? One of the things that I get asked a lot is how do I (being you) theme my stuff? Do I need to? People see that I do The Coffee Run all of the time and I'll share why I called it that. People see that I do the “Right Between The Eyes” series (we're nearly at 1000!!! WTAF?!?!?!?!) People see that my website is very clearly themed like you're walking into a rock concert, with the drama and the smoke and the stage and the merch and the backstage passes….. BUT WHY?? It's a great question. And the thing is that there is not one single answer, but moreso a fun, intricate and deliberate answer. The thing that is super important with your BRANDING (being how you show up, how you look, what stories you share and how you tell them) all ties in with your personal brand. I know it's very 2010 to talk about it, but it's an essential part of standing out from the crowd. You don't have to do it all Rockstary like I do (please for the love of all things holy, don't do that!). In fact, what's essential, is that you find something within you that you LOVE that you can build your theme around. 1. What do you love? 1. I love adrenalin. I wished I was a pop singer when I was growing up (do I need to mention that i still wish this was true!?!??) 2. What are your hobbies? 3. What did you dream of as a child? 4. What do you do now? 5. What do your audience really want? 6. How do they want to feel? All fo these things combined help to give you an idea on how you can start to really build a personal brand. For me, I want to create an EPIC experience for you when you land on my stuff. I want you to feel my message like the deep bass and the pump of the beat through the speakers at a night club. You know the speakers that are 6 foot high and when you stand in front of them your whole body reverberates and the tiny hairs on your arms stand on end…and you kind of feel it right down deep in your core? That's what I want to create for you. An experience. An uplevelled experience. Because if I can build a super successful business, pretending I'm a total badass rockstar on stage delivering to you and doing my thing, from a TINY country town in the middle of nowhere…. then you can do anything you damn well want!!!!!     I have reverted back this week to my beloved planner. Man I love this thing!!! I have a billion things to do every day. I have things to learn every day. And I want to make sure that I am ticking all the boxes and not leaving things 'to chance'. I do love me some structure! This is the kind of thing that most business owners, practice owners and entrepreneurs tell me they need more of. Because it helps them to get clarity and they know now what it is that they need to do next. I was talking to a lady yesterday, who has been in business for 6+ years.. and one of the things that she wanted from our call was “Clarity” and a way to create “Impactful content”. Who am I to say no to that!?!?!?!? Um. BRING IT ON, baby! This is what I do BEST!!! The thing that I find super easy is pulling ideas out of people's heads. Coming up with kickass marketing messages. Helping you to see the things that are right in front of you.. but invisible to you. - who do you serve? - what are their goals? - what do they want? How do they want to feel? - What stops them from this? We talked yesterday about the four steps that you can come up with in order to help people. What is the overall message that you need to share with your people? What is YOUR message? What is the THING you do for your audience? Your clients? Your people? Share more of that, please! NEXT: You need to get all of this into a structure and a plan! Remember I said that this is something I use every day? Well. I haven't been using it, and let me tell you, I feel like I'm on FIRE this week. Super productive. Super on fire. Filled with purpose. In part, because I have the structure! --> The other thing that this plan does for you, is it keeps you ahead of the competition! We talked about the Zombie Wall today and how to make that fly up screen be THE THING that protects you from the naysayers, the copycatters, the mean girls and anyone basically who is not fully supporting you and your mission. The second part to creating badass content is creating BUSINESS content that makes sense, that stays on message and on point. Some of the things that are crucial that you HAVE to have clear in your OWN head, is the process that you take your audience through. I remember in 2012 when I first came across this ‘concept'. I didn't really get it. I was asked what my 5 step process is. I was asked what my ‘7 step process' is. This threw me. I had no idea how to articulate that!!!! 1. What are the logical steps - the simplest steps? 2. Ask yourself what is the first thing - big picture - that people need to work on in order to get a result? 3. What is the next thing? 4.     Hello Friday! Phew! Feels like it's been a long week - are you with me? How much should you share when you're having conversations with people? Yes, you should share your experiences when you're talking. It doesn't mean it's the ‘you' show… it doesn't mean that you're trying to make the convo about YOU.. you're demonstrating that you can empathise where your people are at. I read something interesting from Brene Brown the other day and it went something like this “what you're going through right now will help someone else work through it in the future”…. not an exact quote and I couldn't re-find the quote on her page, so I'm wracking my brain trying to remember the wording. Therefore, we are just going to have to trust me that i saw this quote and that I seem to remember vividly that it was one of hers. I've been thinking about it this morning. Why? Because so many people wonder WHY they go through what they go through. There's a bit of a misnomer out there, that in order to help other people, you have to have experienced some kind of trauma and that's just not true. - The thing that you worked through might have been education - and perhaps you found that easy o. Every day in May you are going to post something on your page relating to a topic that I'll share with you. I'll give you an example, then you'll go and do it for yourself on your page. Perhaps the thing that you help people with is going from being healthy to super healthy! Perhaps the thing you help people is managing their money - even if you've never been broke or had to tightly manage your money - but perhaps you've learned a lot that has helped you to have more money For me, as you know, I share quite openly about the ins and outs, ups and downs of the growth of my business over the last 11+ years.     One of the conversations that we probably don't value enough, is the convo about knowing your numbers. It's super easy to get emotional about how your business is going (or not going) but the truth is that the numbers, the data, don't lie. In today's The Coffee Run (Ep583 - WOW!) I talked through the numbers you need to know and why it's important. The two main ones we discussed today: 1) Your business break-even numbers How much does it cost you to turn on the lights? It's super easy to get emotional about how your business is going (or not going) but the truth is that the numbers, the data, don't lie. Things like: insurance, database subscriptions, accounting software, team costs, Virtual admin, Canva pro, etc. 2) Your household break-even numbers! How much does it cost you to run your household on a monthly basis? And you need to add this onto your business break-even numbers. (If you have a partner who contributes financially, work out if there's a shortfall that your business needs to cover). 3) What are your conversion numbers? eg. Do you know how many leads you need? And how many of those convert to sales? What's your sales conversion like? Do you need to build a bigger pipeline? Knowledge is power, and no matter if you're a start-up or a seasoned pro, it's essential that you MAXIMISE your PROFITS! After all, that's what hits your pocket! x

Remembering, the reason we're telling stories through our marketing is to help our audience see, feel and hear that they're not alone. That it's not just them.     Welcome to The Coffee Run on this fabulous Monday! So many people get stuck when it comes to creating content. Why? Because we ALL want to get it 'right'!!!! Today what we were talking about was how you can use normal, every day posts that other people put up to spur you on, to share different things about you, your values, what you stand for and what you stand against without saying "This is what I stand for!". I also threw out a challenge to you! - Find a post to talk about that inspires you in one way or another. Either by pissing you off or lighting you up. - Write a couple of paragraphs about it - Find a photo to go with it - ideally of YOU! - Post it up on your business page - Come and share the link with us in the comments!     For the love of Lead magnets.... Keep it simple!!! Why? Because your audience doesn't need any more complications in their lives! And... you MUST create lead magnets. Why? Because we're living in a world where people's pages, groups and profiles are getting shut down left, right and centre.. even if they haven't done anything 'wrong'! Even if they haven't shared opinions on world events. You cannot rely on your pages or your groups to be around forever. You must create a safety net. One of THE most repeated questions is around WHY a lead magnet? Why not just ask for people's contact info? Well, one of the reasons is because they want something in return! Most of the time, if you're out there saying 'Hey! Can I add you to my email list' .. people will say HELL NO! (Wait, is that just me?!?!) I, for one, do NOT want to be on someone's email list unless I want to be there. Unless I am sussing them out. Unless I want to know something that they know. Which is likely the same for YOU.. and also the same for your audience. Today, I went through a quick rundown of what you can do to create your lead magnet, in the SIMPLEST way possible. I also threw out a challenge to get one: * Planned * Mapped * Created * Put out there... all over the next few days! C'mon. I know you can do it

    I'm here! It took 15mims to get into my freshly washed jeans (yes, skinny ones!!) and 5 minutes to dry my lashes. But I'm here! So let's roll!! Talking this morning about your fabulous personality.... and how to it! To me, there are 3 main things that make it up. The thing that people spend FAR TOO much time doing, is thinking about their offers and how they compare to someone else - a competitor usually. You need to work out what yours is, so you can harness that and use it. er more. Maybe if I make my thing 30 days instead of 21 days, that will make people buy.".... Or even the "They're all so much more talented, educated, fabulous, professional, relaxed, chilled...." whatever it is that runs through your head Know this: You are not alone! The better way to cut through the noise, to stand in your power and rock your offers in the way you WANT to do it, is to leverage your personality. There are 3 main elements that help make you, you: 1. Your 'soul'. I like to think of this like your soul gifts. The thing you're here to do. The thing you find more natural than anything else in the whole entire world. (For me, it's speaking! Haha! Or writing. Either or... using all of the words). My natural gift is Divine Self Expression. Combine that with my equal natural gift of Divine Order you have a powerhouse combo! You need to work out what yours is, so you can harness that and use it. The great thing here, is that you'll use far less energy doing it your way, doing your thing, accessing your natural gifts than if you keep trying to do things in the way that you think you're 'supposed to'. 2. The 'Science' part of your personality. This is where we can leverage the world of diagnostic tools that have been proven over time, to AFFIRM you. The reason that this is so freaking important, is that you are NOT WRONG for how you are. You are PERFECT as you are when you are being resourcefully YOU! 3. The 'Social' part of your personality. This is where you start to see how you adjust when you're 'out there' in the world outside of work! How do you adjust yourself based on different situations? It's a great way to get to know different parts of your characteristics. Bottom line is this: GIRL, You gotta stop apologizing for who and how you are!!!! Own the oddball part. Own the geek part. Own the rockstar part. Own the extrovert. Own the introvert. Own the badass. Own the nurturer. . Most of all: Leverage the f*ck out of all this, because THIS is your USP. This is the differentiator. This is the decision maker for your audience. You're so freaking awesome. xx

    Should you flirt to get what you want?? This was the topic of conversation last week that I thought was super interesting. Mainly because I think most of us relate to ‘flirting' in different ways! Enjoy the replay! I think some of the key points here are that this is all about using what your Mama gave you! #1 Use your personality. #2 Leverage your lifestyle. #3 Use your looks - they matter! Your logo, however, does not! Your FACE is your logo. #4 Use your knowledge, your wit and your know-how. Why is it a bad thing?? IT'S NOT!!!!! Your people need YOU. Which means they need to know that you exist! So here's what you're going to do: You are going to put up at least 3 posts every day on your page (or more if you have the guts!) Some of these posts will be a mix of business content (general advice, hints and tips) Some of these posts will be you sharing a bit about yourself. For instance, when you think about ‘courage' what comes up for you? Share that. Some of the posts you put up will be sharing your lifestyle. For example, you might love tea cups. Share photos of these, please. You might love coffee. Share posts about that, please. You might love Dad jokes, share some of these please. It's the dance between ‘business' content and ‘personal' content that helps cut through the noise. Why?     Every successful entrepreneur and business owner I have had the pleasure of talking to, working with and mentoring has told me that they all have had moments where they knew that it was time to reinvent themselves or create almost a new identity for themselves so they can reach ‘the next level' … not necessarily in business, but in themselves. What I've worked out through going through this process myself as well as helping others (and witnessing it) is that there are 5 big steps that people go through and things that they need. 1. Time and Space. Creating this is crucial and critical if you really want to work out what you need in order to change and shift… and ultimately create within you the identity of who you want to become. 2. Letting go. You've got to let go of all the old thinking, the old ways of doing things, the old crap hanging around you.. and even the things that you're doing that you hate! 3. Imagining and Dreaming. 4. Plotting and Planning. 5. Being and Doing. Then, you know that it's all going to come back around, so it's important that you also resting, rejuvenate. so you can reinvent again.     A very special TCR following The Hottest Hotseat In Town!!!! There is NO failure. Only information that you can use. I've spoken with a number of people of late who have been having a mid-business-crisis. I've been there. It sucks ass…. in fact, I think it's a HUGE problem that nobody talks about. We hustle our asses off. We work till our fingers bleed! We do ‘the work'. We love what we do, but we don't stop. And we wear our burnout as a badge of pride. Accomplishment. meanwhile, our mental health goes down the toilet, but we've got bills to pay and things to do. Clients to serve. Children to feed. And dammit, I'm an ENTREPRENEUR and I can DO THIS. Until you can't. The big thing that most people simply don't talk about is how common it is to have a crisis of business faith. To keep pushing. To keep trying to find different ways.. When honestly. I think our hearts and souls are demanding, screaming that sometimes we need to take a break to figure out if this is what we REALLY want. There's the sense of failure to cope with. There's the sense of embarrassment. There's the sense of obligation. There's guilt. There's shame. There's bruised ego. But at the end of the day, none of that really matters. What matters is you finding your way back to soul…. To heart… To trust. And sometimes you need to take some time out to do that. Maybe you're due some long service leave. Perhaps you just need the next infusion of awesomeness. Maybe you need to make it all a whole lot easier on yourself… There's no shame in hitting pause, by the way. Sometimes that's the only you CAN do.     Tonight on The Coffee Run I was talking about how it would be SO freaking awesome for more of us to do what we're here to do.... I shared some things tonight that I haven't actually talked about with anyone, I think. My doubts over what I'm doing that arose over the past year since I haven't been able to travel.... My pondering WHAT is my zone of genius.... The BIG thing, though, that I've been reminded of has been HOW MUCH I FUCKING LOVE being in the room... and I do NOT want to do this if I can't have that. Sequins rather than active wear!!!). The great thing with photoshoots is they can showcase who you are, ina variety of different ways. It can show and share the facets of you, the personalities of you... just like your content can! We talked about how when you become friends with someone, they don't usually like you just because of ONE thing about you, there's normally many things. This is the same with your prospective clients, believe it or not. It's not just the advice or the steps that makes them like you, it's WHO you ARE!     Here are with the coffee run! What role do you need to fill today? There are a billion and one things you need doing. Many, many hats to wear and I honestly feel like we're so freaking hard on ourselves with trying to get it all done! you need to be: - the money lady - the marketing lady - the HR lady - the content lady - the schedule checker - the grievance person - the emailer - the CEO - the bargainer - the balancer - the mother - the creative - the muse - the advisor - the coach - the trainer - the inspirer - the motivator - the nurturer - the counsellor - the daughter - the wife - the prodder - the subject - the leader - the influencer - the contender - the competitor - the amplifier - being in the background - being in the fore-front - the listener - the talker - the cook, the cleaner - the coffee maker - the receiver - the giver - the technician - the researcher - the writer - the collaborator - the negotiator Where the heck is the time for just BEING? The thing we need to do, in my very expert opinion of fucking this up time and time again, is to do ONE thing at a time and recognise that there will be moments when you have to stop being the money bitch so you can be the CEO. And this might mean that you have to leave the things at the door so you can show up in your full amazingness. What I know, is you can't be all of that at once! So why on earth do we try? Something I know for CERTAIN is that it is crucial that you find time to work ON your business on these things. It means you have to take time out even when it's hard. It means you have to say NO to things. It means you have to say YES to things. But all in all, the thing you must do is create the space for this to happen.
