Kubo and the Two Strings from Laika, come onto my radar quite a while ago, as I was browsing through the Wikipedia page of Travis Knight (Director) because of his Director position with Bumblebee. It was a time in my life when I was beginning to be exposed to a lot more than just blockbusters. Nonetheless, Kubo remained a low priority on my watch list, because I never wanted to pay money to rent it.  With this recent fix I have had on watching these animated films that have been on my watchlist for far too long, Kubo finally earned its turn. I am so glad that it did, and that I decided to watch it for The Basement Binge. It is already one of my new favorites and is just about perfect for the segments of the Basement Binge. His life changed for the better when a talent agency in India cold-called him and invited him to work there. Stephen left his corporate marketing job and headed to India, where he worked on various Bollywood projects. In 2018, Stephen Manas returned home to France to work in the French cinema industry. He booked the lead role in the award-winning short film OUT OF FRAME/HORS CHAMP, for he won several acting awards, including Actors Awards-Los Angeles' "Best Performance of Fest," Alternative Film Festival's "Best Actor," and Top Shorts Film Festival's "Best Actor." Dick Kraske was the original overseer of two of the largest and most infamous serial killer investigations in history: In 1974, Lt. Kraske organized the 'Ted' investigation when two women disappeared from Lake Sammamish State Park, 20 minutes east of Seattle. Witnesses saw one of the women leave the park with a man, calling himself 'Ted', with his arm in a sling. A year later Ted Bundy was arrested in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1982, now Major Kraske experienced deja vu as five Seattle area prostitutes were found dead in and around the Green River. Kraske reflects on those trying days and wonders on the still undiscovered and unidentified victims of Ted Bundy and Gary Ridgeway, the Green River Killer. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/anatomyofacoldcase/support

...other than being our topics this week, I mean. Because there is something! (The answer is very silly. But I promise we talk about it in the podcast this week!) That's right, we return to our regularly scheduled programming by discussing some newly scheduled programming, like 'Ted Lasso' (16:23), 'Raised By Wolves' (30:31), and the return of 'The Boys' (37:44), all before we get to a fun new game (1:03:13)! Our theme song is by Juan Gutierrez!
