Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!It seemed that everyone in endurance racing was a little too excited to go racing as the full course caution seemed to be deployed almost right after the green flag was thrown. Through the madness there was good racing such as the GTP battle at Watkins Glen which eventually saw the Whelen Cadillac take the overall win with Acura in 2nd and JDC Porsche in 3rd. For the Spa 24 hour race it was Lionspeed GP in their Porsche GT3 that took the overall win after starting 66th from the pit lane! This is the lowest starting position to win the race in its history.Formula 1 took to the hills of Austria and yes there were some side by side battles but it was a very interesting strategy race which saw mainly a battle of the two stop strategy with offsetting the laps to have fresher tires at the end. This resulted in the top 3 finishing within 2 seconds of one another!Shockingly SVG wins at Sonoma in Cup.Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Chicagoland, IndyCar is at Mid-Ohio, and Formula 1 is at Silverstone.

Growing up in Northern California, Alex grew up in the California karting scene before going on to Formula BMW USA, ultimately leave the US to pursue his dream of Formula One, where he'd achieve the ultimate by becoming an official test driver, and finally an official F1 driver for ManorF1. When opportunities in F1 began to unravel, Alex immediately found a new home in IndyCar, winning the 100th Indianapolis 500 in his first year, and now a regular threat for the championship. One of the pioneers behind the Grand Prix of Long Beach, Jim unfortunately passed on Saturday, March 21, but we were fortunate to spend an extended amount of time with him in 2021 in our “Building Long Beach” video and podcast series. One of the key members since Year One, Jim Michaelian went from a kid with an MBA helping out in finance, to the current President and CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach. From boots on the ground at the beginning, to steering the ship today, Jim is uniquely qualified to know both the history of the event and the challenges that face the Grand Prix today.
