Today on The Amber May Show, Amber breaks down a packed news cycle where politics, justice, media, and NASCAR all collide. President Trump is moving to make Todd Blanche the permanent Attorney General, while questions around election integrity heat up from Colorado to California. Trump is now calling for a probe into California's slow vote counting, and the Tina Peters case is back in the spotlight after a DOJ complaint raised new concerns about how Colorado handled one of the most controversial election cases in the country. Then, Amber turns to the media shakeup at CBS after Scott Pelley's contract was terminated, raising fresh questions about legacy media, newsroom power struggles, and who really controls the narrative. Plus, Sarah Talker, NASCAR reporter for YourNews.com, joins the show to talk racing, Kyle Busch, Katherine Legge, and why NASCAR continues to capture the heart of America. From the courtroom to the ballot box to the racetrack, this episode asks one question: who is really in control, the people, the press, or the political machine? 128 cars entered a factory stock dirt race and the winner took home $30,000. That single stat says a lot about where American racing energy is flowing right now, so we sit down with award-winning track announcer Rodney Rodriguez to unpack why dirt track racing in Texas and Louisiana keeps growing while asphalt fights for attention. We get into what “affordable” racing really means, how teams spend money, and why the crowds and car counts keep showing up for dirt. Then we zoom out to the driver pipeline: quarter midgets, teenagers winning before they have a street license, and the modern pay-to-play reality that can launch a career fast. We also talk about why today's “old guys” in NASCAR can be in their 40s, and what that says about how early drivers now have to start to reach ARCA, trucks, and the top levels. From there, we debate NASCAR stage racing, commercials, and whether the Gen 7 car has made the racing safer but less wild. Rodney shares what he likes about staged cautions and restarts, Jeff pushes back on how it changes the feel of competition, and we compare the Cup product with the racing fans still love in feeder and regional series. We also touch on the Indianapolis 500 and Katherine Legge's double attempt, because the best race month deserves a spotlight. We wrap with a practical segment you can use right away: can run-flat tires be repaired with a plug or patch? Jeff breaks down puncture location, sidewall stress, manufacturer rules, and why a proper inspection matters. Another gorgeous day with a high of 75° and plenty of sunshine! Big weekend ahead with my 50th Birthday party tomorrow night, Big Bikes on Saturday, and on Sunday…my wife & I attend our first parade as Oktoberfest Grenadiers! Busy, busy, busy! We started the morning off with the OG "Thursday Song"….along with Pat McCurdy's brief cover of the original. We asked each other hypothetical questions for "Hypothetical Thursday". Brian's question for Jean was: "Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?" Jean's question for Brian was: "What is on your bucket list?" And Office Cora joined us just after 8am to let us know what she's up to in the 715 this weekend. In the news this morning, the latest on the Hantavirus cruise ship, another cruise ship in France is dealing with a stomach-flu outbreak, Alex Murdaugh is getting a new trial, a Wisconsin babysitter who left several children in a hot car while getting her nails done gets a plea deal, and the latest on the Watertown school board decision. In sports, the Brewers blew a stellar start by the Miz & lost to the Padres last night. And speaking of the Miz, he once again left the game with some cramping. We talked about last night's NBA & NHL Playoff action and looked at the upcoming schedules. The Royals & White Sox game last night got delayed when a fan fell into the bullpen. And speaking of schedules, the NFL dumped out a bunch of it's games yesterday…ahead of tonight's official schedule release. We discussed what's on TV today/tonight and also looked at Netflix's upfront presentation of it's new stuff. An ice cream truck in Massachusetts is going viral for being kind to children(that's all it takes?). Elsewhere in sports, the Maple Leafs fired their head coach, Katherine Legge is trying for a two-fer, The Big Dumper breaks his hitless streak after showering in his uniform, the NJ Transit prices for the World Cup continue to come down, and the Enhanced Games are coming up next weekend! And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy who allegedly found a dead rat in his Monster Energy can, a family that claims they can't leave their house because of a swarm of bees, a dad in Pennsylvania who got arrested for leaving his kid in the car while he played Spooky Spins at a convenience store, and a woman who stole a bottle of wine by shoving it into one of her body cavities.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

They also talk about how impressive Daly looks, along with Graham Rahal turning heads. They later talk about how much Ryan Hunter-Reay is benefiting Pato O’Ward at the 500 and the Arrow McLaren team. To wrap up another edition of the show, they talk about how the one-off entries and Arrow McLaren fared into practice today. They also talk about David Malukas showing strong signs as a contender after two days of practice.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
