"I've let God down" "I've hurt His people" Do you ever feel like that? Will God still have me? Maybe you've prayed and there has been silence... This Sunday, you're very welcome to see how God reassured Abraham and gave him hope for the future. You can get the All-Age worksheet here. Our service times are: 9am Ballyhaise 10am Lavey 11:30am Drung (with livestream and Killoughter joining)
Speaking at an All-Age service, Callum talks about the amazing and incredible things Jesus did through the power of the Holy Spirit – things He said we could do through that same power too!
Sometimes in life we need a bit of help to see better. Magnifying glasses and microscopes help us see things more closely. Binoculars and telescopes help us see things that are far away. All of them help us see well beyond our natural range. Today, in Luke 6, Jesus says that we must learn to love our enemies, and that's going to involve seeing them differently – seeing them through the lens of God's love. That's a big ask, and we're going to need help to do it because it's well beyond what we can manage naturally! These are the waters we're paddling in this morning in our All Age worship.

He helped organized and put together one of the most prominent party crews of the 1990's in Southern California. His crew launched THE most successful ALL-AGE nightclub ever to exist. Joel aka Mr. Clean and Bones brings back to life the rebel scene, the party crews, the house music, the DJ's and the nightclubs. How was it all funded? How were they able to book those historic venues at 15, 16 and 17 years old? How did this even exist without getting shut down? It's the scene no generation will ever be able to bring back. Except told in stories like this, on this episode.

Peter Frere | Luke 8:43-48 The rules of the day were quite clear: any person with a discharge was unclean, and anything they touched became unclean. But when the person being touched was Jesus, things were bound to take a different turn. As Peter explains, physical touch can bring both good and harm, but it's important for human relationships, and Jesus used it for healing and to break down barriers. This talk was given in our evening service. In the morning, our interactive All Age service used many physical symbols to explore the meaning of Lent, but the message format wasn't really suited to a podcast.A woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind [Jesus] and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.'Who touched me?' Jesus asked...In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.'

In Episode #9 of the CDSFA Community Football Podcast, we speak with Jerry Bitas from the Canterbury Referees Association (CRA). Jerry is one of the top referees within the CDSFA. A former CDSFA football player turn referee, Jerry lives and breathes refereeing. He simply loves it, winning many fans and accolades along the way. During the season, if you’re out there watching a BBC/1s or All Age 1s game, more often that not, it is Jerry that you will see in the middle of the centre circle blowing the whistle. Jerry is also the Branch Coach for the CRA, a role he is extremely passionate about, especially when it comes to developing and inspiring new and young referees within the CDSFA.
Field trialing as a sport has been at the defining end of bird dog development since the early days the American Field as reflected by the reports of Mr. A.F. Hochwalt. Since the mid to late 1800s and moving into the 21st century we have seen some of the most iconic names of bird dogs and their handlers cover the vast distances of the field trial circuit from Manitoba to South Georgia in hopes of revealing the next season’s set of Derby’s, Shooting Dog, and All Age champions. As the history of field trials expands, there are a number of young trainers who stand out to me and consistently produce and train superb field trial performers. It was no coincidence to talk to Diamond R Kennels Trainer Tommy Rice about the definition of a truly special dog as this season started off with a bang as he saw his dogs into great success. Handling at the Montana Open Shooting Dog Championship, Tommy handled Charitable Deed (owned by Keith Finlayson) into a Championship, and also handled Thrill Me (owned by Keith Finlayson as well) into a Runner Up Championship. Shortly after, at the All America Shooting Dog Championship, Rice handled Mac Stidham’s Grand Prairie Thrill into Runner Up success as well. I’m proud to say that Tommy is also a native Georgia boy and oddly enough we never crossed paths during my tenure in Albany. But all relationships will develop I the right time, and I’m was privileged to be able to get Tommy on the line as he ended his long day running dogs on the northern prairies. Speaking with a premier trainer like Tommy opened up a conversation about the culture of field trialing, its misconceptions, and the good men that judge these trials. The class and artistry that is expected and reflected in the performances of these dogs is a true testament to the breedings that make these “special dogs”. The term is specific and intentional. Tommy hits the nail on the head as he details what it takes for a dog to rise to the occasion. It is my hope that this conversation is a very candid and enlightening look into the field trial circuit from one of the all stars of the field trial game. Rachel Fasham | Luke 15:1-10 Something's missing... that's annoying. Or, maybe, someone's missing... panic! Rachel has experienced both kinds of loss, and in this All Age service she reminds us how important it is that we seek the people who are currently missing from God's family.Jesus told them this parable: ‘Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home... I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who do not need to repent.’
Phil Wade - Phil does his final talk at the Lantern, talking about Grace, drawing on themes of identity & salvation, looking at the passage from Ephesians 4:8-9 (All Age service)
Rachel Fasham | John 21:1-19 The despair of the Crucifixion gave way to the joy of the Resurrection, but for Peter there was still unfinished business to deal with. Three times he had denied Jesus... what now? In this All Age service Rachel explains how Jesus restored Peter and gave him a new purpose. There's something special here for Land Rover lovers too as she describes her role in a different kind of restoration project.Meet "Peter": lovingly recycled from another character we made at Messy Church a couple of months agoA Land Rover stripped down to its absolute essentials, ready to be restored into the shiny model below
Susan Haynes | Luke 18:18-30 | Matthew 7:13-14 One of Jesus' best-known sayings is also one of the most puzzling: "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." As Susan explains in this All Age service, all of us are weighed down by things which make it hard to truly follow Jesus - money, fears, ambition and many more. She draws on her own (limited) camel-riding experience to encourage us to allow Jesus to do what we cannot do for ourselves.A certain ruler asked him, ‘Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?’ ... Jesus... said to him, ‘You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.’ When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was very wealthy.[Jesus said,] ‘Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.’
Chris Chalmers | Numbers 13:17-33 In a dramatised version of the reading earlier in this All Age service, we heard how one of the spies - Caleb - urged the Israelites to go in and take the land which God had promised to them, but the rest of the group were too afraid of the size and strength of the Canaanites. In this short talk Chris presents us with a challenge for 2019. Will we see only the difficulties, or be expectant for what God will do?The Malteser Mountain challenge: the player lifted the lid but could not stop some of the Maltesers spreading on to the trayWhen Moses sent them to explore Canaan, he said, ‘Go up through the Negev and on into the hill country. See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many.’ ... They gave Moses this account: ‘We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large.’When Moses sent them to explore Canaan, he said, ‘Go up through the Negev and on into the hill country.
